Discord didn't just make the plunderseeds when he was defeated...
Discord, the god of chaos and mischief. Although he's good now, he wasn't before. So he planted some plunderseeds. Just in case those failed, though, he seemingly helped a pony...
My first fanfic, so tips in the comments would be greatly appreciated.
1000 years ago (By the way, ponies are about level 3.5-4 on the scale)
Ponies were freaking out. The world was in total chaos. Buildings were floating, milk was exploding, cups were drinkable, rain was chocolate and ponies were acting like animals. One stallion, with no important name, however, seemed OK with this. A little too okay.
"Calm down everyone!" He called out. "No one's hurt, are they?" Too bad no one paid attention to him. They continued to run around.
"I SAID CALM DOWN!" He screamed. This time they paid attention. "Is anyone hurt?" The ponies checked themselves for injuries, rather comically. "See?" he replied, after they settled down. "The chaos isn't all bad." This seemed to be the switch for the ponies, who adamantly disagreed with him.
"What are you talking about?!" A mare screamed.
"That's minotaur crap!" A stallion yelled.
"What about my baby?! She'll grow up in a chaotic Equestria!"
He tried to calm them down, but they started throwing things at them and eventually, a hot-blooded stallion came up and punched him, knocking him out easily.
He woke up in his dreamscape, seeing the un-ruler of Equestria, Discord. "So you like my chaos, huh, stallion?"
"Well, I'd rather have a peaceful Equestria, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be."
Discord pouted. "Well, I guess I won't save you after all." Before he could ask what that meant, he woke up, tied to an upside down tree.
The ponies splashed a bucket of water on his face, forcing him fully awake. He looked around, his pupils shrinking as he started panicking.
"If you like his chaos so much--" The voice made him turn his head, and he saw a mob of mares and stallions. He was forced out of his
thoughts when torches were waved in his face. "Then you can die in it."
"Wha--" His question was replaced by his screams of agony as the torches were chucked at the tree, setting both him and the wood on fire. All
he saw as his eyelids burned away was Discord, standing over him with a look of...was that remorse? Discord then waved a paw over him and
his entire body was engulfed in flames. Then, everything went black.
Pinkie Pie skipped through town, humming her life's theme song to herself. She was going to visit her friends today, and they always did something fun when they got together. They would do something special today. Just not what she expected. She gasped when she heard an explosion, and when she looked in the direction of the Everfree, saw smoke and heard high pitched screaming.
/With the Cutie Mark Crusaders, just minutes before/
"You think this is safe? Every time we come here, bad stuff happens." Sweetie Bell said, while nervously looking around.
"Oh relax. Rainbow Dash has been here, like millions of times! If we get in trouble, she'll come save us." Scootaloo replied, dismissing Sweetie's rightfully placed fear with a wave of her hand.
"Yeah!" Applebloom added. "We're gonna be...." She looked at the other fillies, as they passed by a small grave. They all screamed, "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS ANIMAL TAMERS!" They finished, smiling, and Sweetie's fear faded away. What could go wrong? Her question was soon answered when the unmarked grave thumped. Again. And again. They looked at each other in fear, before running. Unfortunately, it was behind them. Applebloom looked at Scootaloo. "Throw yer scooter at it!"
"That's not gonna do anything!"
"It might slow it down, we gotta give it a try!" Scootaloo jumped off of her scooter, and threw it right at the thing's head. The scooter exploded from the sheer heat coming from it's head. They gave off a scream, seeing it didn't slow it down at all.
Pinkie nodded her head. "Okay, so I was walking to your castle to hang out with you girls and make it a totally awesome day because I had baked a cake and everything, but while I was walking here, the forest exploded and there was smoke and screaming, so someone might be hurt!"
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Rainbow screamed. "Let's get going!"
The Main 6 rushed as fast as they could, which was pretty fast for about two of them, to the Everfree. Before they even got in there, the CMC
ran out of the forest, looking dirty, and terrified. "What happened?" Rarity asked them.
"We were going to be cutie mark crusaders animal tamers.." Sweetie started.
"but then we screamed too loud.." Scootaloo added,
"and we woke up this big scary thing in the forest!" Applebloom finished, all of them looking terrified.
"Don't worry," Rainbow said with conviction. "I'll kick that thing back from where it came!" The others agreed. They all turned their heads at
the sound of wings flapping. It rose out of the forest, and there it was. It was pony-like in structure, but that was about it. It's skull was
exposed, and it was engulfed in flames as red as the sunset. The skull itself was terrifying, for it was charred from being in flames, not to
mention the 2 foot long fangs coming from both sides of where it's teeth were supposed to be. It's body was bulky, and huge, about 9 feet
tall. It was covered in black armor, that had silver claws at it's hands and silver plates coming off of it. It's wings were about 10 feet in
wingspan, and they were completely black, save for the white bones that were exposed and visible. Fluttershy was afraid of dragons, so
when seeing this thing she completely lost all color in her face. She shakily looked over to the CMC. She heard Twilight's voice. "F-fluttershy."
She turned to Twilight, and she could tell she was freaked out too. "Get the girls away from here." Needless to say, she happily obliged.
Rainbow wasn't scared, though. They had taken out Tirek for Celestia's sake! She flew up to it, and gave it a well deserved kick to the face. In
turn, however, her foot was set aflame and it grabbed her skull. It then flew to the ground, and plowed through the ground using her face.
Her blood was following that trail, but before it could hurt her too much, it was blasted away by Twilight's magic, stunning it. Twilight ran over
to Rainbow, while Pinkie and Rarity distracted it.
"Are you all right?" She asked, after helping up a bleeding Rainbow.
After spitting out some blood, she looked over to her. "I'm fine, let's just take the thing out." They heard screaming, and saw it spitting a column of fire at Rarity. Rainbow quickly flew her out of the way, while Applejack got up close and
punched it. She regretted it instantly when she was punted to the side like a weakling. Rainbow flew around the beast, where it shot a column
of fire into the air, attempting to hit her. Once it got into position, Rarity and Twilight quickly shot the back of it's head with a force spell,
sending it's head into the party cannon, where his head was promptly blown up. It came out of the party cannon, looked at them, then the
fire died away, leaving smoke. It fell over, as if it were a statue.
"Well," Rainbow said. "That was easy."
She should have never said that. The fire revitalized, and it stood up with a roar. It spread it's wings, and sent out a magnificent roar of rage.
It flew over to them, and prepared a punch. However, it hit an invisible barrier. It definitely wasn't Twilights, so they looked up and they saw Discord. Discord then moved his hands a little and the demon was sent flying.
"Discord?! I should've known you were involved in this." Rainbow screamed out, agitated from Discord's appearance and the fact she had just gotten owned by whatever that thing was.
Discord looked down at her, and instead of giving her a cheeky reply, he just glared at her, and said in his most serious voice, "Is this the time
or place for this, Rainbow?" In return the cyan anthropomorphic pegasus simply looked down in shame.
It came again, this time after Discord. He dodged, and kicked it in the face. "It's sad you don't remember me."
He received a grunt in reply from the beast, and it simply flew towards him. He dodged again, but this time, it grabbed his leg and slammed
him on the ground. Discord teleported above it. "I'll take you out in one blast." After settling some copyright claims from a company, he put
his hands in a position not recognized by the ponies. The words he screamed weren't recognized either.
"Ka.......me.....ha...me..." he then teleported right in front of it to avoid detonating anything, and fired it. "HA!"
It simply stood through the blast. If it could smile, it would have. After the blast cleared, it was unharmed, to the shock of the ponies and
Discord. It grabbed his head and started squeezing its skull, but then he heard the sound of an accordion playing. If it was in the mood, it
would have laughed. It kept squishing.
"How is this amusing?" Discord asked exasperatedly. "That's my skull hitting my brain!" It didn't care though, and kept squishing.
Discord finally had enough, and balled his hand into a fist. It grew to an insane size, and then was delivered right into the beast's stomach.
It's grip was released and it was sent flying. It got up, and flew back. Before it could even approach them, it was knocked away by yet another
blast, but this time it was a brilliant golden light. Right next to where it appeared, a motherly voice called out to them.
Flare turned his head towards the explosion. He didn't move though, and looked back. Rainbow and Fluttershy had left, probably to check
on the townspeople. He didn't care though. Those ponies did nothing but disturb him and attempt to kill him. He sighed and sat back down on
the couch...and that was when he noticed his clothes, and the fact that he was inside instead of out.
"Guess I owe her one, huh?" He asked to himself, then ran off into the town. When he got there, he noticed the flaming buildings and that annoying cyan pegasus flying around some beams. She was then hit, and fell to the ground, knocked out cold.
/Minutes earlier, in Canterlot, in the castle/
"Tia!" Luna called, and her sister appeared at her doorstep in a few seconds.
"What are you doing up so early, Luna? It's not your shift yet."
"Our control over the dreamscape was ripped from us!" Luna warned, fear and panic evident in her voice. This sentence, combined with
the fear in her eyes, confirmed the thing that Celestia feared. The Dream King had returned. She ran back to her room and picked up her quill
and parchment to warn the Elements, but then she saw smoke rising from Ponyville and knew it was too late. She sent the letter anyway,
telling them who he was and to bring the Elements.
/Around that time, with Twilight/
"I should probably go check around Ponyville." Twilight thought aloud, worried. "That thing could still be around. It seemed to be even
stronger than the Princesses, and Celestia looked hurt when she--" She was interrupted when Spike belched, and she turned around to
tell him he was excused, when she saw a note lying on the floor. "Oh." She said, and picked up the scroll. She unfurled it, and as she read it
her eyes widened. She pulled out the box containing the elements, and got ready to contact her friends, but an explosion sounded nearby.
She went outside with the box, only to find her friends already there.
"Girls! Here!" She said, putting the elements on each girls' necks.
"Oh yeah!" Rainbow cheered, ready to finish this already.
"Let's just get this over with. I have a new guest." Fluttershy whispered, but Twilight heard her and assumed a new animal was injured.
The man, known only as The King of Dreams, stared with amusement. He then reveled in the look of rage he was receiving from the girls
when they noticed the pathetic mare he had just killed. Cheerilie lay in a bloody heap, her rose hair stained burgundy by the blood secreting
out of her forehead, and her skull was showing a bit. Their eyes glowed white as they rose into the air, and were surrounded by a mass
of rainbows. They then combined into a rainbow beam, which descended upon the King and enveloped him. The girls descended, only to find
the King wasn't changed. He wasn't stone, he wasn't depowered, he wasn't good. Nothing happened. He smiled.
"Sleep." He said, and blasted at the girls. Twilight barely got everyone out of the way, and her arm was cut. He then appeared in front of
her and dug his fist into her gut, making her cough up blood, and knocking her out instantly. Pinkie Pie zoomed all around him, trying to find
a weakness. "Pest!" he growled, and stuck his fist out, catching her right in the neck. Pinkie gagged, and immediately ceased all movement. He
then blasted Applejack right in the face, making her eyes bleed as she fell to the ground, also unconscious. Rarity attempted to get away to
get the Princesses, but she too was blasted, right in the back, and as she fell, blood started to stain her shirt.
"Only two left." He smiled sadistically and blasted at the cyan mare, but she took to the skies. She kept dodging his blasts until he fired eight at
once, blocking off all of her exits. They all hit her at the same time, burning her skin off of her arms, legs and stomach, exposing the muscles
to the elements.
/Now/
Fluttershy stood alone, as her friends were either knocked out or crying in silent agony. She faced this unstoppable beast of a King, with no
hope of survival. She looked around as her world began to fill with darkness...
Suddenly her and her friends were pushed to the side. That's when she saw him. Her guest. He just stood in front of this King, hands in
his pockets and all.
"Who are you?" The King inquired, but then he was knocked away. He soared through the air and crashed into the wall, but soon got up.
"I hope you're not planning on.." He then stopped boasting to look at the man, who's skin was burning away. The man screamed in pain, but
those screams of pain quickly turned into demonic roars of rage as more and more fire breached the confines of his skin. A charred skull
then appeared, no skin left on this man's head. He wasn't done though. Two fangs, unnaturally large ones, shot out of his jaw as his gums
burned away. Then, his shirt ripped as two giant, bony wings jutted out from his back. The clothes then ripped off as they gave way to shiny
black armor. The completed transformation looked at him, and he instantly recognized him.
"I thought you looked familiar. You were that pony we burned 1000 years ago." The demon growled at him, but didn't speak farther.
"I should've known you'd become a spawn of that chaotic fool."
/Somewhere nearby/ Discord sneezed, making a spring noise.
"Ooh! Someone's talking about me." /Back to The King and Vengeance/
Vengeance was the first to attack, closing the distance between them and punching the King in the face. The punch never connected, though,
and the King jumped over his fist, and put his hand on it for balance. He then spun and kicked him in the skull, eliciting yet another growl from
the beast. Vengeance punched again, and the King flipped over it and got close. This was what Vengeance wanted though, so he opened his
maw and let loose a column of fire, completely blowing away the King. The King growled and stood up, shaking the rubble that used to be a
building off of him. He shot more beams, but Vengeance seemed to be getting tougher as the fight progressed. Vengeance tanked the beams
and clotheslined him, sending him flying into yet another building. He sat up, looking at Vengeance, who looked much less menacing a second
ago.
"Guess I have to actually try." The King flew up, creating a shockwave. He flew down, with an insane grin on his face. The world around
Vengeance was warping, and his eye sockets became dull. He was back on the tree, and the King stood over him. He was blasted in the
elbow, and there was nothing he could do about it. His arms were broken and put back, then his skull was smashed. He woke up quickly, to
find himself chained in the deepest level of Hell. Try as he might, he could not break these bonds.
/In the real world/ Fluttershy looked from the broken building she had hid her friends in as the demon was helplessly beaten by the King. The demon--no. Her
guest seemed to be trying to get up, but it looked like he was chained down. Left with no other option, she screamed out to him.
/Back to the nightmare/
As he tried more, his blood started to drip down the chains. His muscles screamed at him to stop. Just when he was about to snap his own bones to be free of these damn chains, a soft, yet desperate voice was heard.
"Get up!" It screamed. He recognized that voice. It was Fluttershy's. Then, one by one, the rest of their voices screamed to him.
"You can do it!" Rarity's voice sounded.
"I know you're stronger than that." Applejack's voice said, cutting through the air.
"You pack a mean slap, so kick his butt!" That pest Rainbow's head resounded,
"Beat that meanie!" Pinkie's voice said.
"Get up." A final voice resounded in his head, but it wasn't Twilight's. It was his father, Discord.
"I'll deal with the nightmares." His father appeared in front of him and held out a hand. Vengeance almost refused, but he needed all the
help he could get. With a final snap, he broke the chains and grabbed his father's mismatched hand, and a bright light filled his sight...
Vengeance woke up. He then reeled back as the King's fist rammed into his skull, and he noticed for the first time his skull was cracked across multiple places. He caught the King's fist.
"I see now." Vengeance growled out quietly. The King glared at him as he tried to pull his hand away.
"What are you babbling about?!" The King shouted while trying to free his hand with no success.
"It's your fault." Vengeance punched him in the face, and the King would have been sent flying if Vengeance wasn't holding him.
"This is what Pinkie Pie felt!" Vengeance punched him as hard as he could in the throat, silencing all screams of pain with a gag.
"This is what Rarity felt!" Vengeance turned the King around and kneed him in the middle of his spine, but due to his flattened windpipe, he
was unable to scream. "This is what Rainbow felt!" Vengeance turned him back around screaming this, and set his stomach, arms, and legs
aflame. He looked him right in the eyes. "This is what Applejack felt." The King knew what was coming next, but could do nothing as Vengeance
blasted a column of flame into his eyes, causing them to sizzle and bubble, allowing blood to leak down his face. "This is what Twilight felt." He
then blasted his entire head, and dropped him, leaving him to die on the ground. The fire demon crouched down next to him.
"You feel this? This helplessness? This fear? This is what Fluttershy felt. This is what the townspeople felt, and what you took advantage of 1000 years ago. I have no idea how you survived, but," Vengeance stepped on his wing. "You will never kill anyone ever again. I'll make sure of it." Vengeance then looked at him, pure hatred shining in his eye sockets. For the first time, the King knew true fear.
"And this.." He said in a deadly whisper, as the fire around his skull looked like it wanted to burst. "This is how I felt."
Suddenly the King's entire body was aflame. He screamed in agony and fear, but the fire kept coming. The unstoppable torrent of fire was not going to be satisfied until not even ashes were left.
Fluttershy had watched the whole ordeal with shock and horror etched across her face. Despite the fact that he did deserve this, it was a little extreme to put that much stress on someone's body, even if they were an alicorn.
"Stop!" She yelled to the demon. "You shouldn't be doing that! It isn't right!" Vengeance stared at her, and dropped the King.
"Do you have any idea what he did to me? How many lives he's taken?!" The demon roared in her face.
"I know, but right now you're just as bad, if not worse than him!"
"Trust me, I'd have to commit genocide if I wanted to be even as close to as bad as he is." The demon looked at her.
The other members of the main 6 pitched in, voicing their opinions. Finally, he looked down, and his fire died down to little more than a tiny flame.
"Please.." The Main 6 were practically begging Vengeance at this point. "Spare him." They all said in unison, and they swore they could see his skull twitching a little. With a final sigh, Vengeance brought his hand down. Suddenly, a white light filled the area.
"What's goin' on?" Applejack yelled, in her noticeable southern accent. They all closed their eyes, and then checked on Vengeance to see if he was alright.
"Uh, guys?" Rainbow began. "Where did the demon go?" What they looked upon wasn't a demon anymore, but an angel. They saw Flare, who had angel wings the same size as Vengeance's. Something about him was..beautiful. He even gave off a brilliant white light with simply his presence.
"I'm right here. I learned my lesson. What this world needs isn't Vengeance, it's Justice. That wasn't who I was, this is. Justice."
"How creative." Rainbow said, rolling her eyes. She then wanted to shrink out of existence when all 7 of them glared at her.
Justice really wanted to say something about how she was named Rainbow and her hair was rainbow, and the fact that she gave off a rainbow trail when she flew, but didn't.
"What's important is," Justice began in a strained voice, trying to keep his patience. "That I heal the King's injuries and take him to--" Justice looked to where the King was, but all that remained was a blood stain and a scorched ground.
"Shit.." he cursed, and Fluttershy almost told him to watch his language, but she kept her mouth shut.
Discord then appeared in front of them.
"I took care of the nightmares. It took a while, but it became easier just a second ago..." He looked around.
"Where's Vengeance?" Discord asked.
"His name isn't Vengeance anymore.." Fluttershy began, but Twilight finished without her consent.
"Apparently, letting go of all his hate turned him from a demon to an angel!" She said, excited.
Then, Justice began to rise.
"Where are you going?" Fluttershy asked.
"Heaven." He answered, as the clouds covering the sun opened and some beautiful rays of the sun shone down upon Equestria.
"But you CAN'T go!" Pinkie ran up to him, pleading. "I still haven't made my Welcome-Justice-to-Ponyville party!" He just smiled benevolently
at her. Meanwhile, Fluttershy began to cry.
"Don't leave.." she whispered, and she felt a warm hand on her face, wiping away the tears.
"I'll always be here for you, Fluttershy." He said, and she blushed a bit. He then turned his head towards his semi-father, Discord.
"I'll come back." He promised. "Maybe we can do something about that Molly problem you're having, father." He teased, causing Discord to look down as a blush covered his features.
"Molly? Who's that?" Fluttershy asked, but was quickly shushed by Justice.
"Maybe I'll tell you when you're older."
"I'm an adult..." she mumbled, but he continued to rise and disappear. She began to cry again, feeling alone. That was when her friends comforted her, and she realized she was never alone.
Bonus Chapter-Pinkie's Party and the Question that was never asked
Pinkie Pie smiled and hopped around the city. Ponies wondered why her skirt was staying down while she was falling. Others wondered why her feet were the things that were bouncing. Flare, though, wondered how her hair was so bouncy. He was told not to go down unless it was an emergency, so he did the natural thing. He flew down to ask her a trivial question he'd likely get no answer for. Pinkie then stopped bouncing as she looked up. The clouds were parting and a bright light let a familiar figure down.
Flare smiled down at Pinkie, but the smile quickly faded when she gasped, way too long or loud for any mortal should achieve without exhaling, and ran off, leaving a cloud clone of her, which quickly disappeared.
"Seriously?" He asked, then he quickly spread his wings and took off. Everyone was gone so fast. How did they even do that? They were practically everywhere a second ago. As he flew over the town, he couldn't help but notice Applejack's barn seemed to be...dancing. He immediately knew they were in there, and he touched down. All movement, inside and out of the barn, ceased immediately. "I know you're in there." He said, and he opened the door. What he got surprised him. The lights turned on, and everyone was there. There was a banner that said "Welcome/Welcome back Justice" but that wasn't what surprised him. What surprised him was his semi-father, Discord, sitting on top of a wrecking ball with a small white tank top and small white booty shorts on. "Oh dear God." He whispered, and refused to look at Discord. He then peeked back up, and Discord was normal now. There was no wrecking ball or anything.
"I take it you were surprised?" Discord asked hopefully.
"Yes. Very surprised." He said, holding in some throw-up. He then looked around. "A party? I'm not staying." This sentence caused Pinkie to go gray and her hair deflate like a balloon, becoming straight. "BUT," he began, and Pinkie looked up. "I will stay for a while." Her hair poofed back up to normal, and they all enjoyed Pinkie's party all night long.
