Chapter One

The beginning of a Great Guardian

In the beginning, with the great rein of the Alicorns. Powerful and wise they controlled the solar system and the Earth they lived upon long before earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns controlled the surroundings of the land. With Luciano and Astra as mother and father of Celestia and Luna. They lived in a castle amongst a beautiful enchanted forest in which some of the other Alicorns lived. Most of the alicorns lived in there own kingdoms and palaces around the globe such as Crystal Alicorns far in the north and the Honey Kingdom filled with pegasi able to polanate in the west. All of the Alicorns knew one another and as such the world was united and at peace for a very long time.

This is were are story begins with newborn fillies Celestia and Luna. Their young lives were filled with joy and hope they would adventure out into the forest or go on diplomatic trips with their parents. However their joy would not last as long as they had hoped. A dark shadow had begun to spread and a whole legion of chaos bringers brought their destruction upon the lands. The sisters Celestia and Luna, ages five and ten were hidden in the confines of their castle while their parents and all the grown Alicorns battled against the Draconequus. With so much magic being used, great waves of the magic affected another world the, Human world where one person was pulled into the battle, only 18 years of age.

The human was confused "Where am I? What is this place?"

Shocked at what creatures no man has ever seen before. He watched as two mighty races battle for the outcome of the world. Seeing Alicorns using massive blinding balls of light that were magic, and golden spears stabing the Dark Legion. Looking at the Draconequus using fire and their teeth to rip and burn everything they saw around them. All the sudden a Draconequus named Umbare who had started this whole war who was once a pony that used dark magic to turn himself into a chaos bringer and bring destruction upon the Earth, and he had this human in his sight. At first a surprised look on his face they knew what humans were he was just not expecting to see one here but he charged at him quickly penning the human to the ground about strike the final blow. But then an Alicorn named Shadow fell who had a black coat and a red and black mane who was a very wise and strong Alicorn in Crimson armor immediately went full force into Umbare side distracting him. The human took advantage of this but Umbare saw him trying to get away, using his tale to whip and knock out the human Shadow fell fought valiantly.

As he woke up he saw Umbare use his teeth to bight through Shadow Fell's armor and crushed his neck and was thrown to the side with blood pooring down his neck and wings from the wounds, a healer saw him and rushed to his aid. As Ubare was about to finish what he started a might voice shouted at Umbare and it was none other than Astra, Celestia and Luna's father but Umbare tested the king and shot a bolt of dark magic to the human spreading it all around his body the dark magic was killing him crushing every cell in his body an excruciating pain unlike any other. Hearing him screaming in agony the king charged in and battled with Umbare, the human only had minutes to live. In the mist of the fight Astra had noticed a deep cut left by Shadow Fell from the earlier fight, the king took all his strength and blasted into the cut of the side of the Draconequuses side and killing him. The king was to wounded and would not live much longer he landed beside the human seeing him slowly die the king took all that was left and took the dark magic away but giving the human magic as a gift.

The human still could not move but he could hear and see the king had managed to get himself off the ground saying to the human when you see them protect them for me then he flew back into the battle very weak a bright glow began to circle the human creating a crystal like case around him and puting him into a deep sleep but what the human didn't realize was that the king had gave him pieces of his memory's but they came very slowly for the human. In the case for many years to come as his mind processed what had happened he begun to realize what all this was about by the memory's of the king. The crystal casing that he was in had a magical ora around it so nopony would ever be able to see it the human left only to his thoughts . After the battle was won but everyone had been killed in the process. Not knowing Celestia and Luna adventure across the land looking for their parents not knowing that they had pareished. They had many small adventures on there own and faced a few dangers they even came across a small creature that called itself a Draconequus he said his name was Discord and his mommy and daddy were missing. no he was looking for them empathizeing with him he joined there there troop of parent searchers.

After the events of Hearthwarming Eve and once the elements and equestria were created Celestia and Luna came across a village filled with unicorn pegasi and earth ponies hiding amongst the shadows they watched hundreds of unicorns gather in a large field in attempt to raise the sun as they struggled to due for a full year suddenly one of the ponys collapsed, and then another, the rest of the unicorns magic wavered tired of doing a job of an Alicorn and could not stand it any longer and more and more of them fainted from exhaustion. LittleCelestia could not bare to see this happen, keeping in mind what her parents had taught her about magic Celiastia rushed out of the shadows and stood before the unicorns quickly using her magic to shut of the spell they were using and stopping them from straining them selves.

The sun stoped the top just peeking over the horizon taking a deep breath Celestia activated her great stores of magic her horn glowing bright gold the unicorns gasp as the sun swiftly rose being masterly controlled by a mere filly they became even more baffled as they saw tiny wings on her back after the sun had fully risen a flash of light came from the fillies flank Celestia looked around to see her cutie mark appearing on it a golden sun was imprinted on there reviling her destiny Luna and the the phoenix they called Filamieana ran out to join Celestia as the mass of unicorns surround them. Discord how ever stayed behind not eager to meet the ponys who knew the ways of his parents and the other Draconequus had waged a war against them. The fillies were taken to the unicorn castle were the rulers of equastria lived and worked the rulers including Princess Platinum, Commander Hurricane, Chancler Pudding Head, Clover the Clever, Private Pansy, and Smart Cookie question the fillies asking them how in Equastria did they get here and how the white one had risen the sun.

Star Swirled the Bearded had also taken part of the questioning but he mostly sat in silence looking at the fillies intently. Soon the leaders found out that stood before them were the daughters of the most powerful Alicorns that ever lived the fillies were immediately taken in by the leaders knowing that these fillies were next in the royal line and so the Alicorns were raised in the mountain castle of Equastria the city that had been built around it was the capital of the country known as Canterlot during this time Luna learned to raise the moon and gained her cutie mark and both girls learned many new spells from Star Swirled, they were also given flying lessons by pegasi and built up physical strength due to earth pony training the two ponys also played with discord who hid in fear of being prosecuted of the war he never told this to Celestia and Luna.

Though once the leaders grew old Celestia and Luna had been crowned the sole princess of Equastria because Alicorns life go on and on the girls only had minds of teenagers. At the time their peaceful reign was a golden time throughout Equastria and would last for many years to come. Many years had past since the war the human still in his tomb until one day the sun had rised to its fullest like none other than the times before the war the magic arrayed from the sun Alicorn magic the only magic that could open the casing and it did after so many years the human arised bieng much older than he had been we he was taken into equastria but he had only aged very little not knowing when Astra gave him some of his powers that what he also gave him is immortality so that he could protect his daughters from harm and knowing he wouldn't make it through the battles end, a spear was in his case with him picking it up a great golden light was released flowing every where on the humans body but all the sudden the light had consentraded on his back feeling sharp pain a feeling as if his scapula was riping open and growing more bone on the other the light had stopped glowing and the pain gone then he looked side to side seeing two beautiful gray wings as if he was an angel it was the last gift that Astra could give for the staff he was holding was the mighty kings staff he tried to flap his wings knowing he would be able to learn yet he folded his wings in and put his shirt over them.

He walked for many days until he finally reached a small town named Ponyville but nopony had ever seen his kind so he walked into the town first pony he saw was a store owner but as soon as the pony turned around, now a average pony may be four to five feet but seeing a unknown creature that was six two was terrifying and the fact it was on two legs the mare immediately screamed and half the town was now in panic and he was only trying to explain who he was but he was tackeled by royal guards and was all the sudden taken to canterloute in shakels. Knowing he could have easily been able to over power the guards with the magic he was given and his strength alone but he knew if he would have resisted it would have looked bad for him. He was soon brought into the the thrown room of the castle and was in front of the already old wizard Star Swirled the Bearded questioning what he was and where he came from. He wanted to explain but he would only speak if Luna and Celiastia were there Star Swirled felt the magic of Alicorn power surounding this creature then all the sudden Celestia and Luna walked out into the thrown room to see and ask about this creature.

She asked "What are you, and where do you come from?" He opened his mouth saying that he had been looking for them for a while.

She replied "Wait what did you say?"

"I have been looking for you two to tell you that I'm here to protect you two."

A couple of guards laughed then Star Swirled looked at the guards and they immediately stopped.

Then he asked "Can I please be released from these chains?"

The sisters looking at one another trying to decide then Star Swirled said he is no threat,

Then they told the guard to undo the shackles thanking them the human reached in his pocket the pulled out what seemed like a
golden stick but then it launched out being a staff and a spear. The guards rush toward him until they were told to stop by Celiastia.

Then he spoke "This is your father's weapon, I was transported here long ago when you two were only fillies. I was almost killed by a chaos bringer dark magic until King Astra, your father saved me. He was wounded but was also victorious but the dark magic crept into me killing me slowly and painfully. He gave me some of his magic and saved my life last I saw was him flying back to the battle Alicorn magic flows through me his last words where when you see them protect them till the end of time and I intend on keeping the promise."

All three shocked, tears coming down from both sisters faces now recognizing the staff that was their father's and Star Swirled trying to process what he had just heard come out of this creatures mouth. The two sisters finally came to their composure then Celestia asked

"What is your name?" "My name is Ferric Bontary !" Then she asked

"Do you remember anything else about our father?"

He said no but he did explain how the magic incased him but this is where things get weird for them. He said when he pulled the staff out the first time that he remembered the golden flash of magic and then he lifted off his shirt revealing the two massive gray wing. They were all shocked. He said that this was the last gift of your father I'm so sorry for your loss. A few hours past of more questions and explaining then Star Swirled did his own test seeing just how powerful he really was showing that Ferric had the power of an Alicorn but only had wings it was very strange but Star Swirled explained to Celestia and Luna that their father had transfers his Alicorn magic into Ferric . The sisters still shocked at learning their fathers fate but Celestia said

"I'm sorry for you being brought here and how the ponies reacted."

He said it wasn't a problem at all he expected the people to be scared hence why I didn't resist the guards because I knew it would have done know good and he had no intentions to hurt any pony they all agreed that was quite clear he also so explained how he was an orphan back on Earth he didn't know who his parents where so in way his fate was similar to their's they apologized and saying sorry for your loss he said no problem I'm glad I'm here this world it feels so free thank you. The two sisters said they ended the night he slept at the castle with guards still around at all times near him but celiastia and Luna let him keep his staff saying its a gift from their father and your powers and so they all slept that night. Months had past and Celestia and Luna agreed without a dought that he was sent by their father and would not protest and he was happy to hear that he had been practicing new spells with Star Swirled for a while and receiving lessons how to fly he mastered it quite fast, faster than any pegasi and was given combat training he had made himself a friend that he trains with almost every day his name was White Flash a young pegasi he was only in his early teens. They would always train but Ferric was more skilled and quicker even in flight and his magic helped two but wight flash did managed to get few hits but due to his magic Ferric heals fairly fast.

He also found out that he could control stars and coments at night he realized this when one night he saw Luna alone on her balcony noticing that she was sad so he flew up to her balcony she was surprised and she tried to walk away but he stop her asking what's wrong she replied with sad tone with tears in her eyes

Saying its the stars I can never put them into a perfect constellation there left scattered every where I try to make some like my father did but I can't I wanted to show other ponys that the night can be even prettier than it already is that night can be just as beautiful as day.

he grab her hoof that was resting on the guard rail and he comforted her by asking.

Lets both try together she was confused saying what. He said why not your fathers magic inside of me.

She wiped her tears agreeing to try they both consentrated there magic and they saw that a constellation was formed and looked like her father . He said lets try again making Celestia and Luna's mother side by side both smiling with two fillies around them Luna was so happy tears were flowing down her face all she could do was hug him and they both hugged embracing one another in there arms and Luna and ferric grew a special bond that night that no pony will ever have with Luna they both woke Celestia up bringing her out to the balcony showing her Luna with tears flowing down still .saying that it wouldn't have been possible without him.Celestia now with a few tears in her eyes looking at him saying thank you so much they hugged to and so did the two sisters remembering their parents. Luna and Ferric both smiled at each other Celestia noticed the special bond between the two for the next eight months they both created the most beautiful night sky with all sorts of constellations always remembering the night they connected Luna had found her special some pony and Ferric knew there was nopony else in the world he would want to spend his life with so a great wedding was held the greatest that nopony had ever seen the two both gave their vows and were soulmates forever. Two months past and in that time the great and powerful wizard had past from old age it wasn't like he was immortal like Celiastia, Luna, and Ferric they did morn there loss but celebrated his life he had taught all he had know to Ferric and Sombra....But that part of the story is due for another day.

Chapter Two

Celestia and Luna have just been crowned the Princesses of Equastria and a new era of peace had begun. Both sisters loved thier kingdom dearly, they did everything they could to keep thier subjects happy. It had been more than eight months since thier coronation and Ferric and Luna had been married only for a few weeks. Discord did not take this news very happily having his only company swept away into a world of politics and the first royal marrage to take place in Canterlot made him feel even more alone than he already was.

Celestia and Luna no longer wished to play as much as they had used to since they had many new responsibilities. They also wanted to act in a mature manner so they didn't want to play tricks on other ponys with Discord. Discord was beginning to be agitated so he tried to have a little fun by himself at the expense of others as Celestia, Luna worked with royal matters while Ferric acting as the official commander of the royal guard Ferric knew about Discord from Luna telling him about Discord .He at first didn't like the fact of a Draconequuses roaming around rembering the death and destruction from them. But he said "If you trust him I trust him" but he dose always keep careful watchout for activity, but Discord would use his magic to secretly play small tricks on the royal guard and anyone who visited the castle gradually.

His pranks grew more and more mean in spirit and daring until one day a important Griffin leader had come to visit the castle. Discord turned himself invisible and used his magic to turn the Griffin into a chicken as the leader was talking to the princess and Feric nautruly The Griffin was outraged,Celestia and Luna apologized, completely embarrassed while trying to use there magic to change him back unfortunately none of the spells they attempted to used worked except the one that allowed the Griffin to speak again.

It was then Discord burst out laughing not bothering to keep him self invisible any more. The royal guard upon seeing a Draconequuse attempted to subdue him but Discord promptly turned them into small harmless rodents. Enraged the princesses told Discord to turn everyone back to normal, but he just roared with laughter after the oversized Griffin chicken fruitlessly flied up and pecked his feet. Ferric enraged as well demanding to turn them back as well, eventually he turned the Griffin and guards back to normal turning himself once again back invisible performing a memory spell to make them forget what had happen. But the spell did not work on the three and they excused themselves from the room they talked with Discord chastised him greatly and telling him what he had done could have hurt relations with griffins long term.

They told him not to play tricks any more since they could potentially get so reckless that ponys could be seriously hurt. Discord grew angry he explained that the princess never wanted to have fun with him any more that they were much to serious. Weeks past and discord grew even more bored and more agatated his tricks were beginning to be more dangerous just as the princess had predicted the three amedetly sought out Discord and confronted him.

"You need to stop, what you are doing is not right you are hurting these ponies and if you keep going with your horred tricks worse things may happen" "What about me?"

Discord replied with a sneer

"I have been ignored and hidden for too many years shut in like a prisoner you have no right to do that to me!"

It was then that the Draconequuse realized something old memories bubbled up to the surface about the war and his parents it was if his destiny was calling out for him beckoning him over the edge. His mind begin to twist in a horred direction he remebered that he was the inbodyment of chaos just as his parents had told him so very long ago and with that Discord snapped the rational part of his mind slipping away bieng replaced with all sorts of chaotic thoughts. His destiny was bieng fulfilled a destiny he had wanted to avoid ever since he had ever met the two priceses as a very young creature the inbody ent of chaos gave a lash long laugh he could feel his powers growing with in him. It was as if his parents were there beside him whispering in his ears what he was lead to do perhaps they were.

Celestia and Luna shocked at what they were seeing before there very eyes one of there long time friends was becoming a monster.

"Discord!" Celestia cried "Stop please!" But Discord had other plans "You were really never my friends"He said "You just keep me subdued so that I wouldn't become a chaos bringer just like the ones who murderd your parents.

All my breatheren wanted was a little fun but you and your Alicorns had to go ruin everything that's why the war even happend, now then I guess I should finish the job then and take over equastria just like my parents always wanted to ha lets get started shall we"

Discord let out another harsh laugh while he flew high above canterloute using to spread chaos throughout the land pink clouds rained chocolate milk on the ponies below covering them in stickieness while grassy tornados ripped the roofing off of houses and the gravity in some areas had become none existent. His magic effected the ponies as well, earth ponies loosing their strength and making them weak, the wings of the pegasi were changed into the ones of insects and made very small barely enough to lift the ponys off the ground and also let them have fire breath and turned unicorns horns into various animal horns some only preform one spell and all they could do is change things into flowers and others could only cover things in paint and ect.

Celestia and Luna were horrified crying out for Discord to stop they flew up to him ready to fight, Ferric with his spear in hand ready to save equastria only for him to take away there flight capability but ferric was a little behind seeing Luna falling, screaming for help, he rushed to grab both of them and put them down on the ground and immediatly rushed out in anger using the bottom of his spear to strike Dicord. He hit Discord on his head but Discord enraged by this he hit Feriic sending him crashing into the palace wall snapping his fingers putting him in heavy shackles on him that prevented him to use his strength to use his magic he was powerless discord laughed out loud

"That was a good hit that actually hurt a lot "

while he rubed his head he was having such fun why hasent he done this long ago weakened and battered the princess felt Hopeless the land they swore to protect was falling apart around them they felt they were to blame but a glimmer of hope shimmered in the darkness the girls remember the Elements of Harmony which had been scarcely used for many years ever since the sisters had risen to power they shakely stood to there hooves the sound of their subjects crys echoed in there ears ferric in rage for bieng able to due nothing to help.

Celestia Luna they had to get to the elements racing through canterloute castle faced many obstacles thrown in there way by discord but together they managed to over come them and reached the elements of harmony within the bowls of the castle where they were kept safe along with the other treasures of the land dawning the elements the girls went to the highest balcony of the castle discord paid hardly any attention to them after all " without there flight strength what kind of a threat were they to him" the girls reached deep within themselves and remembering there friendship benefiting each other and there subjects when they had used it to solve problems and fix political afairs with other species friendship had been big part of there lives and they would not let discord destroy there pony friends the elements of harmony activated bombarding discord with pure magic of friendship as he gave one last laugh his body was incrusent with stone

"You can't stop the force of nature I will return Celestia and Luna!"

That was the last thing he said his voice echoing through the ears of the princess and Ferric statue glissing in the sun light once there beloved companion now dicord was a prisoner in stone celiastia began to cry Luna comforting her slowly equastria changed back to its normal self eater ponies pegasi and unicorns now have there strength ,wings and magic back Celestia and Luna gaing back there strength and wings but also gaind something new a farel main like ones of there parents the mains symbolized the height of there power and the essence of who they where and there iner magic the only remnecence of his cruel ruel was posin joke as well as the memories of the ponys he had terrorized...........

When Equestria was formed the Crystal Empire had believed to be destroyed by the Chaos Bringers. Considering there had been no contact with the outside world until it was found by Earth pony explores and brought the news back to ferric. He had informed the princesses of the discovery and established contact Ferric Was being taught by Star Swirled how to use certain magic but Ferric didn't need that much help but stare swirled wanted an apprentice to teach the art of magic now that the crystal empire had been integrated into equestria he decided to take in a crystal pony foal named Sombra . The gray colt was abandoned not wanted by his parents that didn't want him. Star Swirled took the grey colt under his wing metaphorically he knew crystal pony could perform simple magic spells even without the use of unicorn horns. These gifts had been given to these ponies way back when king Rubanese in chanted his subjects.

Living in Canterlot the young Sombra learned many new spells under the guidance of his new teacher. As he grew into his teens he knew more spells than any of his crystal brethren but he was far from satisfied even though he knew more about magic than any other crystal pony but his magic was very limited compared to the ones of unicorns. Sombra wanted to be the best but with his status being a crystal pony that was impossible he needed to find a way to gain more power and he was willing to use any means possible. Every night Sombra would visit the magical Canterlot library learning as much as he could about in chanting ones magical abilities. He would read late into the night often falling asleep over a large tone one evening princess Luna found the stallion dosing his face plastered on page of the history of Alicorns and modern magic curios she stepped into his dreams of him wanting to become a unicorn and being the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Luna stepped out of the dream gently waking up the crystal pony at her side she talked to the groggy Sombra about his dreams and was interested in his goal of gaining more history of spells so the two were conversing like old friends even though they haven't ever talked to each other only seen each other around the castle before though. On the outside Luna seemed interested Sombras goal but in reality she was wary of the pony and she told Ferric how he would do anything to achieve his dream and she feared he would end up using dark magic so she kept watch over him while ferric would stand by anytime she would need him phaning interest on what he was trying to accomplish over the next few months though Luna was beginning to liking of the student starting to write for the stallion he worked so hard but yet was so under appreciated Luna identified with him in a way soon they were meeting up every night when everyone but the guards and Ferric were awake Ferric was always close by while they were roaming the archives together .

A few years had past Sombra had grown up into an adult and had given up on his dreams Star Swirled had past due to old age and left Sombra to tutor himself. He studied the growth of rare black crystals named Arrants they were worth a lot in the crystal empire as well as Equestria curiously out of all the books he had read none of them revealed how to grow the crystal. Suddenly Sombras life was turned upside down as he was eating lunch outside of a restaurant in Canterlot he heard a great commotion looking outside he saw a huge Draconequus flying over the castle laughing maniacally his chaotic powers changing the world around Sombra turning unicorn horns into horns of other animals Pegasus wings to insect wings. Earth ponies were powerless crystal ponies were turned into crystals for short intervals of time Sombra saw the princess fly up to fight the beast but the Draconequus took away their wings horns and earth pony strength sending them crashing down before Ferric got to them. Sombra ran to the castle wanting to see if Luna was safe eventually he made it inside seeing Ferric chained down in a crater where he had been thrown down by Discord. Seeing Celestia and Luna on an upper balcony wielding the first time the elements of harmony as they blasted away at the beast .Sombra came upon a huge discovery as the alicorns fought the Draconequus a stray bolt of magic hit one of the walls of the forbidden archives revealing an ancient part of the castle revealing toms and scrolls written by the alicorns of old that only the princess were permitted to read a section of the wall crumbled only.Sombra knowing the stallion was conflicted on the other hoof he wanted to watch the battle and be there for his friend and on the other hoof the ability to go into the forbidden archive was almost non existent except for that very moment quickly deciding Sombra ran into the archives cracking open books with a devilish glee. The books and scrolls were ripe with knowledge every sentence seeming to fill Sombra up with the magic he desired but then in the corner of his eye he spotted something that would forever change his destiny. A large leather black book sat on a pedestal in the darkest parts of the room black crystals grew out of its spine and across the cover was written discovery concerning dark magic and its uses dark magic Sombra had never heard of such a thing but it certainly sounded interesting.

He opened the black book and began to read what he found shocked him greatly the book had been written by an ancient Alicorn by the name of Umbra who was famous for being the first Alicorn to turn himself into a Chaos Bringer and betray his own kind no one knew why he would betray the Alicorns but Sombra realized how. When Umbra was still an alicorn he had been studying dark magic unlike the pure friendship powered magic that most ponies used. Dark magic was powered by hate and disharmony Umbra had written how to use the dark powers in great detail but the closer Sombra got closer to the end of the book the more the hand writing became unreadable pretty soon the pages were filled with unreliable scrolls. Sombra flipped to the middle of the book where he had found instructions on how to grow erents the black crystals he had been wanting to make the only way they could be grown is through dark magic Sombra followed the instructions in the book casting the spell he felt so strange as he did it feeling like a great an ancient power was turning through him he felt so much more powerful after the spell was done.

Sombra saw huge erent crystal standing before him touching the roof of the room his breath quickening sombra eagerly flipped through the pages of the book looking for more spells to perform with his new form of magic he gasped as he saw a spell near the end of the book that was readable that would allow a dark magic user to change into another species sombra could finally become a unicorn but the spell required the user to channel loads of dark magic through their systems but sombra was desperate ever since he had been recruited as star swirls student the stallion had wanted to be one of the greats more powerful than any other and now he had a chance to fulfil that dream. Taking a deep breath Sombra cast the spell he cried out as he felt hordes of dark magic pushing itself inside him twisting and corrupting his mind he shook violently as he cried purple smoke came out his eyes and his body covered in eusing black bubbles finally the procedure was over sombra got to his hooves shakily looking at his reflection in mirror at the other side of the room his eyes blood red and his coat had become even darker than it had been before but the most stunning thing was that a long curved unicorn horn had grown from the top of his forehead tip tted in red sombra smiled reaching up to touch is his unicorn horn with his hoof it was beyond amazing for him to be able to change to different species ev the great Star Swirl the bearded could not do such a thing dark magic was clearly better than magic of friendship to begin to look in the mirror at his new magical adornment sombra felt that for once he had chance to become something more he had to show Luna but as soon as he had thought of the idea he rejected it he had gotten the orn by going into the forbidden archives Sombra shuttered to think what would Luna do if she would have found out if he had been there but then a planed formed in his mind he could just as easily say that he had made the transformation himself or that he had found it in the canterlot library that way he could share his joy with luna without her knowing he had been in the forbidden archives looking through the book one more time Sombra found an invisibility spell he performed on the book pleasantly surprised how easy it was to perform the spell with unicorn horn to channel the dark energy with he sat the book on his back and strapped it on with invisible enchanted pieces of cloth he had found on the ground he rushed out of the room through his excitement sombra had almost forgotten how dragonquest had been attacking Canterlot but now everything looked differently back to normal and the Draconequus had been turned to stone in the corner of his eye he spotted the princesse near the stone Draconequus with there wings and horns he galloped towards them yelling at the top of his lungs in a joyful tone Luna he cried’.

“Canterlot is saved thank goodness but i have even more exciting news look what i’".

Sombra froze as the princesses turned to face him tears were falling down their cheeks Celestia putting her hoof tenderly on the stoned Draconequus head Luna sadness suddenly turned to surprise Sombra she said.

“Why is your coat no longer crystal”.

She gasped her eyes boring to the horn on his head Celestia did also ‘no’ luna said softly then Sombra stood frozen in terror as Luna's face turned into look of pure ferociousness at Sombra she screamed at him

‘What have you done’. Sombra gulped and said.

“I found a spell to change me into a unicorn like we always dreamed” .”You used dark magic”

Luna screamed her telekinetic magic closing in on sombras throat luna said Celestia cried putting a hoof on her sister's shoulder.

”Stop you're hurting him stop”.

Luna released Sombra from her magical hold and began bursting into a fresh batch of tears. “I trusted you just like i trusted discord now you both betrayed me”.

Celestia held her sister close crying as she gazed too stoned Draconequus once more. Sombra coft his throat still feeling like it was under pressure he stared at the weeping Alicorns how could she had known he had used dark magic and why why were they so sad about the Draconequus they had defeated more importantly why was she so angry at him. Ferric had been released of the chains that were holding back his strength and magic he saw where they were and flew over and saw Luna crying in Celestia's arms looking at the statue in front of them. But then noticed Sombra and his new transformation saying. “What have you done.” Ferric had first hand experience of dark magic he remembered the pain that it had caused him all those years ago. After he spoke sombra now preparing what
Ferric would do but Celestia looked up at sombra harshly her eyes like burning embers.

“Where did you find dark magic spells”. She questioned him ‘I ---I didn't use dark magic I used regular magic I don't even know what dark magic is”. Sombra lied Celestia eyes narrowed. “Your horn is the same as umbras the ancient who started the great war of the Chaos bringers long ago he was the first to harness and wield dark magic dark magic corrupts and destroys those who use it and the ponies it is used upon do you think my sister and i are stupid.”

Luna raised her head her eyes like slits.

“Dark magic used by ponies is banned in this nation what you have done is evil Sombra you must be punished.”

Luna spat the two princesses stood there horns lighting up with a magical ora. Sombra rane he was absolutely terrified as extremely regretful on what evil he had brung to himself and the emotional hurt he had caused Luna. But then when Celestia and Luna used their magic to trap him in magical bonds his fear gave away to a torrent of anger he lashed out at the princess's using dark magic the corrupting force fueling his anger even more the unprepared already tired princesses cried out as beams of dark magic hit them sending them crashing to the ground the overwhelming dark magic paralyzed them pinning them to the floor Sombra broke free of the magical bondages beginging to run but he was stopped as he heard a loud cry of his name he turned around in fear again it was ferric his eyes glowing golden striking Sombra to the ground pinning him with his spear in a furious tone

‘ YOU DARE HURT THE PRINCESS YOU DARE HURT MY WIFE YOU Will pay for what you have done. ‘

But he was stopped by the crying out of Luna's voice Sombra again used dark magic and hit Ferric off him and now running out of canterlot he had stumbled a few times over welmed with the sudden outbursts of dark magic through his system with the heavy spell book still strapped to his back but something else was happening to the unicorn's use of complicated spells had ruptured a hole in his subconscious the corrupting forces of dark magic were seeping in slowly tearing way through the old personality and morals of sombra and bringing in new evil traits. As sombra ran farther and farther away from canterlot he grew angrier and angrier at his former alicorn friend he had not betray her she had betray him he had finally fulfilled his dream and she should be happy for him in fact she had attempted to hurt him what kind of a friend did that Sombra traveled many days casting hundreds of dark spells during the period to disguise himself as provide for himself as he traveled the dark magic truly begun to change him now he would incoherently mumbled to himself all of the time twitching his head randomly burst into menacing laughter and was overall beginning to go insane if he wasn't already once as he was madly flipping through the book of dark magic he came upon the erent growing spell again smiling in a crazed fashion thinking how his crystal parents had not wanted him and left him at an orphanage his dark magic fueled his anger dangerously the voices in his began to whisper crystal ponies are bad the crystal ponies needed to be taught a lesson in a ravaged out to the crystal empire intent on getting his revenge for a blown out of proportion crime.

When he arrived at the kingdom he attacked everything in site in full force surprised at the dark magic wielding ponie the crystal army hurried to fight back but to be availed Sombras dark powers encasing them in erent crystals already knowing of the crystal heart and its powers sombra went for the heart tossing aside anyone who tried to get to it first reaching it sombra tried to encase the heart in erent crystals the queen of the empire rushed outside to find her kingdom in parel she furiously rushed on Sombra using her crystal powers to try to stab Sombra with the crystals she quickly grew out of the ground but the crystals shattered as they reached sombras coat and with that Sombra quickly disposed the queen sombra declared himself the new ruler of the empire using his dark powers to enslave the crystal ponies that lived within it he placed the crystal heart on top of the crystal castle a cruel joke to play on the crystal slaves who could not fly like pegasus the new king also donned the armor and the capes of the previous kings of the empire and laid dark traps in secret places throughout the castle the kingdom went to ruin the crystal ponies miserable under the leadership of their new master who made them grow and mine crystals day and night the ponies begged for mercy but the king was deaf to their cries he had became obsessed with crystals all he cared about where his crystling companions they told him things said to him how marvelous he was how powerful he was his favorite crystal though was the large one kept beneath the castle which contained a purple pegasus and her small pink child sombra loved this one talking to it constantly.

It was not long before the princesses of Equestria caught wind of trouble brewing in the crystal empire shocked at the news they immediately dawned the elements of harmony and Ferric led hundreds of their best soldiers out onto the snowy north on a b line towards the crystal empire once they arrived a fierce battle had broken out between the equestrian royal guard and Sombras mind controlled crystal pony soldiers Celestia and Luna flew up to the castle ready to use the elements against whatever was plaguing the empire ferric fought with his men outside the castle his friend white flash was there they were both doing as much as they could not to harm the crystal solidres knowing that they were being forced to fight they could only tie them down or knock them out but the enemy were going for the kill the battle was slowing down until more of Sombras troops came out of the castle now the odds were against them proving to be more trouble than anticipated.
they both reached the throne room shocked at when they saw sombra sitting on the throne Sombra said Luna narrowing her eyes i knew you had fallen to the lure of the dark magic but i would have never guess what pain and misery you would wreak on your kind Sombra growled while showing Luna a crazed smile you have always underestimated me fair princess and that will cost you Sombra lept up from the throne striking them with thick ten genes they automatically stepped back only to feel the floor fall out beneath them they tumbled down into dark hole in the ground crashing onto the bottom the floor above them revealing leaving the girls trapped in the dark hole as they used their magic to shine bright light around the area they saw a spiral staircase that was wrapped around the sides of the hole they led back up to the area which the girls had fallen Celestia explored to the upper part of the cave while Luna explored the bottom both of them looking for away to escape Luna soon spotted a door the very bottom of the hole which preceded to open it her eyes widening at the horror at what she saw The castle was empty. It was always empty.

As the lone Alicorn walked slowly through the halls, she listened to the echoing of her hooves clopping on the floor of the hallway.The castle was so big, every room cavernous compared to the equine who roamed it. It scared her... yet it was the only thing she could call home. She felt like she had always been here. Always been alone.She tried to look out of the windows lining one side of the hallway, but she could see nothing outside. Crystals as black as the deepest cave covered every window, every door. She could not break them. She could not escape.

This place was more of a prison than anything.
The pony prisoner shivered, and coughed haggardly. Her blueish-purple coat was lined with tiny patches of ice in some places. It was so cold. So very cold.
She spread her wings, shaking the tiny icicles off of them. They were too frozen for her to be able to fly, the feathers saturated with ice.Even her horn could hardly use magic. The freezing temperature seemed to have sucked the magic right out of her.She sighed, her breath distinctly visible in the frigid air. She continued to walk, aimlessly searching for some form of life... some form of hope.The pony stopped. She had not seen this room before.It was a ballroom.Ice coated the place, making the whole area colored in various shades of blue and grey.

The air felt crisp and clear, no sounds daring to penetrate the stillness.
Across the vast room, a set of gilded stairs stood, leading up to a small balcony, on which sat an ice and crystal-encrusted throne.It called to her.She trotted across the ballroom, every echoing step of her hooves resounding around the room and beating down on her harshly, emphasizing her isolation.She slowly climbed up the slippery stairs, and sat in the throne. A startling, painful chill ran up her back. The pony gave a cry, closing her eyes and gritting her teeth.
Then she heard a noise. The pony flicked her ears, opening her eyes quickly. She gasped as she took in the sight before her.The ballroom was filled with ponies. Pegasi, unicorns, and even earth ponies flooded the dance floor, laughing and talking.The prisoner sat in the throne, her face plastered with a look of great surprise. Slowly, a smile crept onto her lips. Her heart filled with pure elation. For the first time in a long time, she felt joy.

The ponies began to dance, a wonderful, haunting waltz, being played in the background by an unseen orchestra. The stallions took the mares into their embraces, and the couples twirled and spun across the floor in perfect synchronization. The mares’ beautiful dresses seemed to bring color to the icy realm around the ponies, and the handsome smiles of the stallions brightened the room.The pony watched in quiet mesmerization, her happiness warming up her entire being.

Then the music faded, and the dancers stopped. They lined themselves up, stallions on one side of the room, mares on the other.
The huge double doors at the opposite end of the room to the Alicorn opened, and a bright light shone into the space. The light melted the ice on the walls away, water cascading to the floor and fizzling away under the heat of the radiance.
A breathtakingly magnificent pony stepped into the room, the light that had melted the ice coming from her long, white unicorn horn. She spread her massive wings, and gave a stunning smile. She wore a dress that seemed to be woven from sunbeams, and atop her head a golden crown glistened. And her mane... oh, her mane... It’s ethereal mass sparkled and glowed like a rainbow, colored with the shades of sunrise.The prisoner’s heart lurched. She knew this pony. She knew this pony!
Her breath quickening, the prisoner cried out the name of the pony who shone light. But no sound came out of her tattered throat. She tried again, but to no avail.

She could not speak. And as she looked around the room, she noticed that none of the ponies had ever once looked at her during the time they had been here.
Giving another silent cry of the name of the radiant pony, the prisoner lept off of the throne, racing towards the crowned pony. She noiselessly screamed at the one who shone light, trying to get her to notice her.
But as she stood in front of the beautiful alicorn, she could only see that none of them could perceive her.Pleading, crying, the pony prisoner reached up towards the one who shone light, standing in her large shadow. She reached out to grasp the crowned pony, to embrace the only one she knew.Her hooves closed around thin air.The ponies were beginning to fade away, the one who shone light fading along with them. Ice was creeping up the walls again, the cold returning in full force.

The prisoner extended her hoof to reach the last bit of light left... and then it was gone. They were all gone.The prisoner gave a long, heart-wrenching wail. She could hear her cries now. They echoed around the cavernous ballroom, bouncing back to hit her ears.
Her heart seemed to shatter into countless pieces, scattering around the frozen floor like bits of broken glass. As she crumpled to the ground, the ice creeped up her legs, threatening to engulf her.The pony had been deserted by the only souls in her world. She was a prisoner in a hellish nightmare, forsaken by those she had loved.

She was alone.-----“Luna!”One word, spoken by a familiar voice, snapped Princess Luna back to reality.Before her stood a blank piece of stone wall, framed by a dark doorframe, an open wooden door connected to it by two hinges. She was in a deep hole-like cave in the ground, a spiral staircase attached to the sides of the walls leading upwards.Luna quickly slammed the door shut on the wall, her heart beating abnormally fast.“Luna!” said the voice again. A large white wing folded itself over Luna’s shoulder.

Luna turned her head to see Princess Celestia giving her a very concerned look.
“What is wrong?! I heard you screaming from higher up the staircase! Are you hurt?” Celestia cried.Luna did not want to speak. Her mind was still processing the harrowing things she had experienced.Celestia grew even more worried, performing a whole-body healing spell on her sister. But she soon saw that nothing physical had needed to be healed.“Luna, please! I need to know if you are alright! Sombra trapped us in here, but I think I've found a way out. We need to stop him!"“I...”Luna barely managed to say anything before she burst into tears, embracing Celestia as hard as she could. Her sister’s warm body seemed to help melt away her fears. Unlike in her nightmare, she now had a real pony to hang on to. One who would not abandon her.Even though she still had no idea what had happened, Celestia began to tear up as well. Seeing her sister cry like that invoked an automatic response from her. Celestia wrapped her wings around her little sister, hugging her close.Celestia began to sing to Luna, the same lullaby she had sung to her when they were children.Do not cry,Do not fret,Though darkness may call,Do not forget.I am here,I will stay,Though trials may come,I’ll keep evil at bay.The flow of Luna’s tears began to stop. She looked up at Celestia and smiled. Celestia gave a warm smile back.The door laced with dark magic had shown Luna her worst nightmare. To be alone, abandoned.But...When have our worst nightmares ever really come true?

The fighting outside the castle was at a breaking point when Ferric felt something wrong he quickly raced towards the castle. He reached the throne room the same shock as Celestia and Luna had Sombra again with a crazed smiled noticing the sisters were not there he asked now concerned where are they Sombra answered with a grin.

“Oh you mean the cruel princes or the wretched nightmare beast you call your wife.”

now sombra had angered Ferric beyond imagined now furios Ferric rammed the spear into the ground breaking the diamond floor beneath him sombra with a shocked look at his anger

“I swear sombra you tell me where they are or you

“Or I will what.”

Sombra smiled. “why don't you find out.”

The floor now disappearing beneath Ferric but he had anticipated this he flew up now flying at sombra Sombra quickly jumped from the throne his spear destroying the crystal throne Sombra immediately shot dark magic at him hitting him to the wall he shot back his magic now the two battling in the throne room leaping column to column then sombra had enuf casting a powerful spell pinig Ferric to his knees in great pain.

“You really think you could defeat me you're weak like your princesses.”

“You will be stopped.” as he cried out in pain the chains bending and twisting his bones.

“Don't worry you won't die yet not before I kill your only thing you care for no said Ferric yes you will see Celestia and your precious wife die in front of you this shall be the day night and day die forever.”

“NOOOO”

yelled Ferric then as golden ora slowly turned black surrounded him breaking the chains sombra jumped back surprised then on his feet Ferrics wings turned black as the night his eyes bright as the stars his voice changed into mighty one ‘

“You claim to no the darkness you dare threaten these people you dare threaten me but you also threaten the one I love. you will fall.”

Sombra panicked sending shards of dark magic towards him but they broke as soon as they touched the aura now launching spikes at Sombra now trying to avoid Ferric around the throne room.

“You once learned magic with me I saw you grow now you have allowed the darkness consume you. I am both night and day the darkness is my friend but the light wont allow me to fall to it because like the night I need the day and the day needs me. ”

He raised his left hand creating a dark aura and his right hand creating light combining them both and blasting it at Sombra crashing him towards the wall all his powers were useless against Ferric he had unleashed a force like none other the power of Ferric the power of Celestia and Luna's father doubled in strength Sombra now on the floor weakened and battered even in fear of what he saw before him. The sisters had escaped the trap seeing Sombra weak and battered on the floor but both were shocked at Ferric what he now looked like his power radiating off his body his eyes as bright as a star his black as night wings Ferric Luna said.

“What happened”

Ignoring her he began to summon his powers for the final blow then they both yelled.

“STOP”

Ferric stopped dead in his tracks sombra still in his position to brace himself you two are ok now looking at himself he knew what he almost did he looked at Sombra with anger taking in a deep breath and slowly his eyes turned back and his wings turned grey again the sisters said.

"Let's send him back where once he came. "

The unicorn on the cold ground now seeing the three stand before him as the princesses prepared to unleash the elements full power on sombra the king gave one last smile at luna staring straight into her blue eyes.

"I will see you again my dear he said giving a haggard cough a shiver rippling through his body for there is one thing the elements can't do and that is to keep some ponie away forever i'm sure you'll realize that soon enfu my dear . "

Celestia and Luna releasing the elements of harmony using their full power on the dark king his screams echoing around the kingdom as his body ripped apart disintegrating into dark smoke the smoke hurdled to the ground the ice opening up swallowing what was left of the dark king. The kingdom cheered there magically induced bonds breaking and the soldiers minds clearing of the king's influence but as suddenly as the pony cheers started they began to turn into screams of fear. For the kingdom and its inhabitants was beginning to fade becoming transparent Celestia, Luna and Ferric and the rest of the royal guard watched in horror as the city and the ponies faded away soon nothing was left of the kingdom the icy snow of the north beating down on freshly cleared ground sombra had performed a spell before the elements hit him making the empire fade into shadow just as he had their hearts heavy eyes full of tears the princess ferric and there trudging army back to canterlot they had come to protect the empire but instead they had caused its destruction.

Chapter Four

It had been a week since the crystal empire had fell. the screams still were fresh in their minds . The three rulers could not fathom the horror of what the citizens felt while they watched every thing they knew and loved disappear before their very eyes. Ferric was trying to figure out what sort of spell could of done this. The only thing that kept coming back to was the rath of Umbra this spell was the last spell Umbra had created the spell had been modified from the original form. The original spell teleported the people that the spell was casted onto to Tartarus where they would endure unimaginable pain and suffering as if they were burning on a thousand suns. But according to what ferric found the spell made the city and all the inhabitants were in the same world but not in the same world at the same time. It sounded weird to Celestia and Luna but Ferric explained that Sombra had made it were the ponies were in an artificial reality were they would live a normal life just like any other pony not enslaved not in pain just a normal life.

Luna said “maybe there was still some good in him. “

Then Celestia replied” Anyone is capable of mercy, it wasn't the people he found hatred against. It was us the ones who pushed him away he feared us for how irrational we took his curiosity. He only wanted to prove himself to everypony but was blind to the consequences of trying to reach that goal of the use of dark magic but the innocent ponies got caught in the middle. “

Ferric : We are the only ones to blame we were so quick to judge that because he was different, that didn't mean he wasn't still there and if it wasn't for you two i would have killed him and what would that have proved.

Luna : You had let anger get the better of you you were only protecting the ponies of the crystal empire.

Ferric : Yes but i unleashed something inside that had no goal but to destroy sombra, and it felt great to feel that power within me unlocked. But i felt something inside me dying but i felt like i almost lost something important in me.

Luna :But you did get back control and now you know it's there .

Ferric : But just because i know it's there doesn't mean i can control it .

Celestia: We will just have to be cautious in the future and study this new power in you but for now we need to figure out is there anything we can do to bring back the crystal empire.

Ferric : The only thing will bring back the crystal empire is time it will be thousand winters before the crystal empire will return there's nothing we can do about that .

Celestia : What about sombra .

Ferric : He will also return on that same day .

Luna : Do you think he will be able to adapt in that time .

Celestia : One can only hope sister .

Ferric: So what do we do now.

Celestia: We must attend to the need of the ponies of equestria and face what trials are ahead and only prepare for when sombra returns and hope we can meet on better terms

Ferric : That was unsettling she's been mad before at similar circumstances but this time was different .

Celestia : Yes she's been getting agitated lately my best guess is because of that door at the castle.

Celestia : She hasn't told me anything all that i know is that when we were in the lower parts of the crystal castle when Sombra trapped us i heard screaming and crying next think i know a door with a dark magic aura around it it opened and she fell out the door shut she saw me and at first seemed afraid but then she burst out crying and wrapped her hooves around me she said she was so glad to see me i just said it was alright whatever it was but we had to hurry back to sombra but you had it handel.

Ferric : You should have told me that sooner celestia.

Celestia : i'm sorry .

Ferric: I need to go ask her what's wrong .

Celestia : Yes but after she lowers the moon and you brief the guard .

Ferric: Fine fine okay

So Ferric did he went to brief the royal guard and Luna went to lower the moon and the sun broke the dark of the night and all the ponies got up to start their daily routine and Ferric went to go talk to Luna about the door. She was laying in her room crying into her pillow

Ferric :What happened back at the crystal empire you need to talk about this.

She wiped her tears.

Luna : I'm fine really I am

Ferric : No you're not telling me what's wrong

Luna : Ok but it will take a while.

Ferric: that's fine take as long a you want

They spent hours talking about what nightmare she had lived.

She leaned against Ferric and rested her head on his shoulder wiping the last of her tears.

Luna: I'm so glad you're here it was destiny we met.

Ferric: No doubt this is the greatest life anyone could ask for it's perfect .

Luna : you know it would be great to take a break .

Ferric : that's fine but where

Luna : Let's go to the Eternal Lakes just me and you no one else there's always been a retreat cabin just meant for me and celestia.

Ferric : Are you sure that's a good distance away what about raising the moon

Luna : It's fine i can still do my duties of the night and you can just assign your friend White Flash he is the most high ranked guard is he not .

Ferric : Yes he is i guess it wouldn't hurt to take a break to the Eternal Lakes we will go tell Celestia and i’ll go inform White Flash we will be gone for a couple of weeks.

White Flash : Ok Luna hope you two have a good time at the eternal lakes, are you two sure you want to walk there ?

Ferric : Yeah
Luna : definitely it's a beautiful scenic route and plus it will give us time to speak with the ponies of equestria .

Ferric : no doubt

White Flash : alright have good trip

Ferric and Luna got to meet all kinds of new ponies and see beautiful sights all the country folk were nice and they got to see some sites they never have seen. They got to their cabin at the eternal lakes the water was so pure you could see the bottom of the lake it was so beautiful the eternal lakes youst to be a series of fountains that one day began to flood a valley, and has stayed that way most ponies believed it happen when Luna made the super moon and it caused the water to rise to the surface and it flooded the valley and that Celestia rays from the sun give the lake healing powers that ponies use for pretty much every ailment .

Luna : This place is spectacular don't you think so ?

Ferric :definitely it beats any other place I've been to

Luna : oh this is great I can't wait to relax and go swim in the lake

Ferric : me either but we have had a long trip let's just sit and relax

Luna : oohhh come on let's go sit at the lake then

She pulled him out of his chair.

Ferric : ok ok I'm coming

A couple hours past and it was begging to be sunset when the lack was certainly the most beautiful the two were sitting at the dock.

Luna : this is a beautiful site to see.

Ferric: yes you are

Luna. : What ?

Ferric : seeing you in this light is incomprehensible to any other thing you're truly the most beautiful person in Equestria or any other world.

Luna : well you certainly know how to make a princess happy don't you

Ferric : that's why I'm married to you isn't it

Luna : yes and plus I don't think any other pony could understand the night like us

Ferric : come on let's head back to the cabin

Luna : okay Ferric

The two spent the next few weeks happiest they have ever been before but something wasn't right. Somewhere there was a group of cultists who believed Sombra should rule Sombra spoke with this group quite frequently and before he fell he sent a scroll that had a message of the location of the battlefield of the Great War and had created a spell to resurrect the Alicorns from hundreds of years of decay and they have planed to use the lake's healing ability and mix it with the spell and create an army of Alicorns from the past . It said in the scroll from Sombra the past shall consume the future and all shall submit to the ways of dark magic the cultists were about to do so but not yet they were told to wait before Hearth's Warming Eve which was the celebration of the founding of Equestria, and he planned to destroy the founding of Equestria and create a new empire but Hearth's Warming Eve was seven months away .So far they haven't been noticed as far as the ponies knew they were just monks leaving in the mountains they only came down so often to get food and water other than that they don't know they mean harm or so they thought . If no one catches on the results will be catastrophic and Equastria will face its darkest time .

It had been three months after Ferric and Luna trip to the Eternal Lakes. The trip went well both were in dire need of vacation. When they returned they found that Celestia had been bogged down with scrolls and duties that were normally lunas and Ferrics jobs but Whiteflash kept most of Ferrics duties as head guard there was only minor things that happened while they were gone just petty crime a few fights nothing real big. It was only two months away from Hearth’s Warming Eve and preparations were already being made. Ferric was staying on the guards hooves and making sure everything was going to be ready for the safety of everyone on Hearth’s Warming Eve.

Not to long after the return there were some reports of strange activity happening at the Eternal Lakes but they were just there so they didn't think much about but just as precaution he sent a group of guards along with White Flash while he focused on the tasks at hand . White flash and his men reached the Eternal Lakes where the strange activity was reported they noticed that there was strange glow coming from a cave in the mountains so they quickly went to the cave white flash could feel something wrong he quickly ordered his men to stay back they could hear something coming towards them they stood their ground and out the cave the dark ora rushed out and raised to the sky they lept back flying up the ora came back crushing almost all of White Flashes men he ordered the rest to retreat he knew there was no way they could fight this then a final plunge into the sky the day became dark as night the ora shot down into the earth cracking stone and splitting the earth and out of the earth came the fallen Alicorns from the great battle all those years ago where Ferric appeared but these weren't the mighty warriors that fought all those years ago there bodys deformed with dark magic bending them to it's will like puppets the most unholy of dark magic anywhere there was broken bones or flesh missing was replaced with dark crystals stunned with shock White Flash couldn't believe what he was seeing happen before him hundreds and hundreds of fallen undead Alicorn warriors now under the control of Sombra's dark magic he had completed what he had planned all along to posses the power of an Alicorn the spirit of Sombra now has the means to finish what he started to cover all the land in darkness but first a host to fit his thirst of power he chose none other than Astra, Celestia and Luna's father bending His body to be one of Sombras likness White Flash quickly took what was left of his men and started to fly back to warn the Ferric what was coming but his men were quickly dispatched thrown to the side by a Alicorn in crimson armor with black coat it was Shadowfell is armor broken and neck torn from the battle that happened all that was there was rage and fury White Flash whent to defend himself but was struck to the ground and with Shadowfell’s hoof over his throat crushing his windpipe he prepared himself to strike the final blow then he was commanded to stop by Sombra he took his hoof of White's throat coughing gasping for air he was pinned down again by Sombra

Sombra “ Tell our good friends that it's time for reunite oh and just for little souvenir”

He chopped of one of White Flashes mens heads off .

Sombra “ Here give this to them a personal gift from an old friend now go before it's your head i send them”

Flash quickly got up began to walk past Sombra and Shadowfell Shadowfell snarled at Flash being robbed of his kill but he will have his prey

White barely made it back to canterlot Ferric was training the guards in the courtyard and he saw them and Ferric spotted him battered and bloody he flew up to him grabbing him and slowly taking him to the courtyard commanding his men to get the medic White Flash barely able to hold his head up he was only able to mutter a few words “Ferric he's back” “who” said Ferric

“Sombra” then White Flash passed out from losing to much blood and the pain Ferric shocked and now angered he ordered his men to get him to the healers he wanted to stay with his friend but he must tell Celestia and Luna and start gathering and preparing the army he flew towards the palace .

He reached the palace and went to to the throne room to tell luna celestia what has transpired at the eternal lakes he didn't want to dare say sombras name again but he met the two and told them.

Celestia ‘ What how could this be we destroyed him’

Ferric ‘ Not according to what White Flash said Sombras even more powerful than ever and even a bigger threat than ever”

Luna” then we can't wait any longer we must gather the army once again “

Celestia “ Yes we must make haste we can spare a moment for him to threaten equestria

Ferric “We don't know what we could be facing we can't afford to be reckless in this dark hour maybe White Flash could tell us more of what sombras power has become or what forces he may have”

All the sudden the throne room darkened and flash of fire that blinded everyone and from the fire appeared was Shadowfell the first words he said as he looked at Ferric

Shadowfell “ So nice to see you again “ He paced in a circle around Ferric with a grin

Ferric “ Who are you “

Shadowfell “ What you don't remember me well maybe this will make you remember

He revealed his broken and bloodied armor where it had been crushed from Umbra all those centuries ago

Shadowfell “ Now do you remember me “

Ferric” Yes I remember you. You were the one in crimson armor that tried to save me from Umbra”

Shadowfell “ Yes and have you ever thought about how painful it was to have those teeth bite down on your throat breaking your armor and crushing your windpipe then not even giving the courtesy to finish you off thrown to side where I was left to bleed and suffocate to death all alone nothing to do except wait for death in excruciating pain. I will never forget what I felt that day nor will I fall to such weakness again .

Shadowfell lunged forward to strike at Ferric. Ferric quickly blocked his attack and hit him to the ground .

Ferric “ I will only ask you once leave and tell your master that we will meet him for this war he so clearly wants” .

Shadowfell “ He growled then found himself pinned by Ferrics spear to the back his head.

“ Very well Will leave oh and make sure that your friend Whiteflash is there for I wouldn't want to not finish the job hahahAHHHH!!!!!! .

Ferric had been angered now with his spear buried in Shadow Fells shoulder “ Go and i will not ask again the next one will go through your skull NOW GO!!! .

A dark aura surrounded Shadow Fell and he was soon covered with it and then disappeared . Ferric quickly turned and said “ we must prepare for an all out war . Anyone who is able to fight we will need. For this is a fight we cannot loose or else all of Equestria will be covered in darkness forever . And so the order was given to assemble the biggest army for the biggest war that will ever take place in Equestrian history . The only thing left is to wait for the impending battle.
