All sorts of ca-razy shenanigans occur daily in both Equestria and at Canterlot High
When you're either a citizen in the peaceful land of Equestria or the school of Canterlot High, all kinds of crazy antics are certain to occur. And I don't mean just from Pinkie Pie...
Applejack gently patted the trembling form of her little sister as she poked her small head out from under the bed covers.
"Now calm down now, Apple Bloom, there's no Pony of Shadows under yer bed," Applejack said soothingly, taking a peak underneath the bed for proof. "There's nothin' to be afraid o-"
She shot back up instantly, wide-eyed.
"Something moved."
----------
Later, Granny Smith poked her head through the slightly open door.
"Applejack, Apple Bloom, y'all doin' okay?" she asked.
"GET OUTTA HERE! SAVE YOURSELF!" the two sisters screamed in terror underneath the covers.
"I'm sorry, kids, this movie's rated R." The mare in the theatre booth shook her head at the three fillies before her.
"Awww..." the Cutie Mark Crusaders moaned as they walked away dejectedly.
"Girls!" a voice snapped. The three of them turned to see Rarity glaring down at them.
"What were you three thinking?" she asked sternly.
"Well, umm..." Apple Bloom stuttered.
"You'll need this!" Rarity held up a trenchcoat with a hat and sunglasses, her glare instantly melting into a smile.
----------
"Enjoy the movie!" the mare in the booth called after the staggering pony in the trenchcoat, Sweetie Belle's head with the hat and glasses sticking out of the top, along with eight orange and yellow legs underneath.
Button Mash, in the midst of passing a folded piece of paper across to Sweetie Belle, froze. The two young ponies turned to look at the teacher meekly.
"What does that note you were giving to Sweetie Belle say?" asked Cheerilee sternly.
"Umm..." Button Mash read the note nervously. "You have cooties."
Cheerilee glared.
"I-It's a joke, Miss Cheerilee," Button Mash stuttered, "I just..."
"I DO NOT!" Cheerilee bawled as she ran out of the classroom in tears. Button Mash, Sweetie Belle and the rest of the class stared.
"So tell me, how can you prove you can be a good boyfriend?" asked Sunset Shimmer, arms folded as she sat in her classroom chair.
"I could... cook you a romantic dinner." Flash suggested, a confident smile on his face.
"Sure, I'd love that." Sunset replied, smiling back.
----------
Later that evening, Sunset sat at Flash's dinner table which was layered with a single lit candle and two fancy plates. Finally Flash entered the dining room, wearing a fancy waiter outfit and carrying a food tray.
"Bon appetit, Sunset." he said with a romantic grin as he gestured to the tray in his hand. "Would you like ketchup or mustard on your burger?"
"Hoo-wee, what a day at the beach that was!" Applejack remarked as she and the other Humane Five walked back to her truck, shaking the sand off their feet.
"Who's up for a drive-thru at Burger King?" asked Sunset.
"Sure! I got dibs on the front seat!" Rainbow Dash cried out, making a sprint to touch the front sidedoor.
"SHOTGUN!" Pinkie yelled from behind them.
Everyone groaned to themselves and began to turn to face her.
"Darling," Rarity sighed. "You had it on the way he-WHOA!"
"No, I found a shotgun!" Pinkie stated happily, cocking the weapon, "And I want the front seat!"
"Girls, Discord has turned evil again and is destroying Equestria with his chaos!" Twilight declared, stomping her hoof into the dirt. "If we're gonna stop him, we're gonna need all our strength, agility, and most importantly, our friendship! So let's get moving and..."
"But first, Sugarcube Corner for some cupcakes!" Pinkie interrupted, smiling merrily.
The Mane Six stared at her.
"Pinkie, we don't have time for..."
"CUPCAKES!" Pinkie shouted at Twilight, a vein showing through her neck.
"Come on, Cutie Mark Crusaders! Buck up!" Apple Bloom whispered to her friends in the darkness, their only source of light being a tiny flashlight.
"I don't think we can do this, Apple Bloom." Scootaloo quivered.
"I'm scared." Sweetie Belle added, tears in her eyes.
"This is no time for dramatics, Sweetie Belle!" Apple Bloom whispered sharply, "If we stick together, we can do this. I guarantee, we will survive. Are you with me?"
"Okay." Sweetie Belle sniffed.
"Me too." said Scootaloo.
Suddenly the darkness around them instantly went away and was taken over by the light.
"Okay, girls, time to present your school project." Cheerilee said, holding the large black blanket they were hiding under.
"Are you sure you'll be okay, Pinkie?" asked Mrs Cake, standing outside the movie theatre with her husband.
"Of course, Mrs Cake!" Pinkie replied happily, "It's just a horror movie about a teddy bear who comes to life thanks to an evil unicorn's curse and tries to murder its owner! I'm not scared one bit!"
----------
"Pinkie, what's the matter? I heard you scream!" cried Mr Cake, bursting into the twins' bedroom and seeing Pinkie backed up against the wall in terror.
"IT MOVED!" Pinkie screamed, pointing her trembling hoof at Pumpkin Cake's stuffed monkey on the floor.
Mr Cake glared at her.
"GET IT!" She screamed, still pointing at the toy.
"Oh, shoot..." Fluttershy muttered to herself as the dice displayed the number four to her. Hesitantly, she moved her counter away from the finish line and down the snake on the game board.
"My turn!" Discord cried out, gleefully rolling the dice. He beamed as the dice showed the number six.
"HAHA, YES! I WIN!" the draconequus screamed in happiness as he moved his counter up the ladder and onto the finish line.
Fluttershy glared at him.
----------
Discord landed facefirst on the ground outside Fluttershy's front door, followed by a suitcase with his belongings inside.
"You're dead to me." Fluttershy stated, slamming the door shut.
Apple Bloom quivered in fear behind Applejack as she confidently stared at the spider in the corner of the room, a flyswatter in her hoof.
"Don't you worry, lil sister," Applejack declared, glancing toward her trembling sibling. "Ah ain't gonna let this eight-legged varmint get away from me."
"Where'd it go?!" Apple Bloom shrieked, pointing to the corner.
When Applejack looked back to where the spider had been, it was gone. The two ponies looked at the room around them anxiously.
----------
"Well, say goodbye to the house, Apples." Applejack stated as Big Mac pulled the cart holding her, Granny Smith and Apple Bloom away from the farm and down the road.
"Okay, class, that's all for this lesson. There's nothing else to do today." Cheerilee stated, sitting down at her desk and going over some papers.
"Phew..." the whole class murmured amongst themselves.
"Wait, didn't she say we were gonna have a pop quiz after school?" asked Diamond Tiara out loud.
"I'm sorry, Diamond Tiara, what was that you said?" Cheerilee asked without looking up from her work.
"Nothing! Nothing at all! I never said anything!" squeaked Diamond Tiara as the entire class surrounded her threateningly and Scootaloo held a sharpened pencil to her throat.
"Oh, it's so good to hear from you again, Aunt Janice!" Fluttershy giggled into her cellphone as Rainbow Dash watched her from across the room with a roll of her eyes.
"I'm glad you think so, Fluttershy!" came a screeching, loud voice from the other end, "Tell me, is your friend Rainbow Dash there?"
Rainbow's eyes widened.
"Of course, she's right here." Fluttershy replied, turning to look at her and gesturing to the phone.
"No, no, no, no, no..." Rainbow whispered desperately.
"She's right here! She's RIGHT here!" Fluttershy kept repeating through clenched teeth, chasing Rainbow out the house and down the street.
----------
"Hey, Janice, what's up?" Rainbow asked into the phone with a forced smile once she was on the pavement and held in a ferocious headlock by Fluttershy.
"Well, girls, it's officially time for another year of school!" Applejack declared in an overly-happy manner, the rest of the Humane Five around her also smiling.
"Why are you all happy about this?" asked a confused Rainbow Dash.
"Which means it's time for another year of learning!" Rarity cried joyfully, ignoring her.
"This is a bad thing!" Rainbow shouted in frustration.
"And most importantly, another year of fun!" Sunset added cheerfully, giving a thumbs up.
"Screw you all." Rainbow muttered, storming off as the others only continued smiling.
"Now listen closely, Sweetie Belle." Rarity said gently, placing her hoof on her younger sister's shoulder, "Since you're growing up, you need to start acting a bit more your age."
"Well... okay, Rarity. If you say so." Sweetie Belle replied, kicking a hoof at the playground chippings.
"New game!" shouted a filly running past them both, "Pretend the ground is made of lava!"
"Wait, what?" asked Sweetie Belle, looking around in surprise and confusion.
"HAHA, YOU'RE IN LAVA!" Rarity pointed and laughed with the other children from the top of the climbing frame.
"Welcome back, my little ponies!" Cheerilee declared happily, currently writing a math equation on the board, "I hope you all had a wonderful summer, but now that we're back, who here is ready for a whole new year of learning?"
When she turned around, all she saw was a barricade of desks and chairs stretched across the back of the room. Apple Bloom's head peeked over the top of one.
"Sorry, no one's here." she called before ducking back under.
"Just stay quiet and maybe she'll go away." she whispered to the other students hiding behind the barricade.
As she walked into the kitchen with a yawn, Pinkie spotted a bowl of fruit in the middle of the table. Yawning, she plucked a grape of its vine and popped it into her mouth. As she chewed it, her tired eyes instantly shot open.
"Wow. I am so freaking healthy." she declared at last, grinning widely, "I should reward myself!"
----------
Sitting down at the table, she placed a newly-baked cake in front of her with "YOU ATE A GRAPE!" written in pink icing.
"HOORAY FOR HEALTHINESS!" she yelled happily, shoving her whole face into the cake.
