Water, thats all I can hear. Thats the only thing I've heard in who knows how long. I'm tired of this stupid water. It drips in an ever constant motion. In this stupid cave. My eyes are closed, so I don't know if it's light or dark.
I can't feel my legs, or hands. I've been sitting with my legs crossed and hand on my knees this whole time. I could get up and move around, Celly gave me that much freedom at least. I haven't though, I've spend the whole time wondering why she put me in here. I thought after Lulu she had lost enough, that we had lost enough. I also thought that she only banished people if they were evil, I swear if it was about the cakes...
Celly does seem to have a thing for banishment though, there was Lulu, me, and Discord. I never met Discord, the sisters had already sealed him before I showed up. I wonder what he was real-

I haven't felt anything like that since Luna turned into that thing.

"Well, well, well, now who are you?" The thing laughed, "You must be someone, for Sunbutt to put you this faraway from her little ponies!"
I laughed, wow my throat really hurts, and my voice is really hoarse, "Sunbutt, eh? That's a good one."
I opened my eyes.
"Ow."
I think I'm blind. Celly's sun is high in the sky, and it burns.
The thing, what ever it is, laughed, "Haven't opened your eyes in awhile haven't you?"
I'm still blinking, I'm stealing Celly's deserts for this later.
"No, it's been... awhile?"
"She really does have a thing for banishment doesn't she?"
Oh, he does not like Celly. Theres some hate, admiration, jealousy, and boy does he want revenge.
"I'm Discord by the way! I think we'll be great friends you and I!"
He's Discord? Well this just got interesting. Let's see what my 'new friend' has for ideas.
I try to stand up, it doesn't work. My legs just kind of twitch. I can hear Discord laughing, but I just close my eyes and concentrate. I focus on the soreness in my muscles, the pain I felt trying to move them, and imagine it's gone. And it is! Honestly being able to heal the majority of thing with my mind has been the best. I stand up and feel that Discord is very shocked, but his face doesn't show it when I look at him.
Discord gives me a look of feigned shock, even though he's feeling it anyway, little punk. "Oh my! Sunbutt must be so scared of your minor healing abilities!"
Ha! Discord can't sense power levels! Crap, my weaboo past is coming to haunt me! I don't want to make anime references anymore!
Ok so maybe my insanity was a reason I was banished, maybe. Lulu thought my insanity was funny... Well Celly always was the more civil type, and I quote, "Revan! Thou must not speak of those with tarnished minds like that!" Which I replied with, "You're not my mom! You can't tell me what to do!" And then I ran away, to the griffon empire. While we were at war with them. That was fun. And I still don't understand how their king's head got on my lightsaber blade, honest.
Discord laughs again and with a snap of his fingers the spell keeping me here is gone.
I watch the hedge maze fall, the bearers have failed. I see them running after something, most likely another clue. I can only hope, Discord is impossible to beat without the elements. And he is impossible to kill. All I can do is watch, watch as my little ponies suffer.
Watch as there's nothing I can do. Discord is must likely off spreading his chaos to every inch of Equ-
Oh Faust no! How could he have found that cave?! That cave was more secure then the moon! That banishment had no limit. If Discord has freed him,

My new friend Discord has brought me to a small village. I'm currently watching him play his little games. Some of them do look like fun. But it's not my style. I'm still waiting for Celly, I'd think she'd be here by now. But no sun goddess in sight. Wow some mares are walking' up to Discord..
Are those the elements? How do mares as young as them have the elements?! Is that a dragon?! Wait are they using them? Celly doesn't bare the elements any more?
Ah they failed, not really surprised. The elements won't work if the bearers aren't united, and they do not look united. Discord laughs and lets them go. Looks like I'll have to take care of him myself, Discord is a fool after all. It'll be easy.
After all, Discord thinks I'm his ally. I would be if their wasn't one small thing.
Equestria is my home.
And if Discord thinks he can destroy my home,

Luna
Sister is worried about the bearers being able to beat Discord. At least that's what I think she's worried about, it might only be part of her troubles. She just sent all of Twilight's friendship reports back to her, I feel bad for the dragon.
She seeks to check on Ponyville, I will join her. If the elements fail, I wish to have a shot at Discord.
If he seeks to harm my home,
He will burn.

I've cast the memory spell in all of my friends, now we just have to defeat Discord!
We run to Discord's throne. Looking at my home like this, it hurts. We have to stop Discord or else all of Equestria, no the whole world will suffer.

Oh my! All these little ponies out to get me! Even Celly and Lulu are coming! I don't know what mister order magic was doing to get locked up, but it must have been bad. I look around from my throne and I see a beautiful world, if only everyone else could see it. Can't use 'everypony', that's racist you know!
Ah, It's starting! Everyone involved in today's masterpiece is converging on one spot! How funny this will be.

Something is happening. Something big. The force has reacted like this since Celly and Lulu fought. Their are so many players, to many. Me, Discord, the new element bearers, and Celly and Lulu. That's a lot of power. I can only hope that I can deal with Discord before Celly and Lulu get here. I don't want to talk to them, not now. Celly has some answers to give, but first I must deal with the real threat.
Discord.
Unknown but only to four. Power was converging, visible and unseeable. Good, bad, and a little something in between. Only two of the four, truly knew what they were feeling. The other two, untrained and not aware of their own powers, put it down to simple nerves. But could not shake the feeling that something, something bigger then anything they had seen before, was about to begin. The two trained however, knew better, and knew that change is always accompanied by death. So they took the little time they had and prepared. Prepared for the most power the world had seen in a millennia, all gathered in on spot. A small town, which was about to become the biggest catalyst.
Power swirled, it was happening. An immortal was to soon die. The bearers arrived first, unsure of Discord's strange unease. Next came the rulers, who came in time to watch Discord's final turn to stone.
And unbeknownst to them, the last member had and was, watching.
Celestia
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight is happy and surprised to see me. It is wonderful to see her and the girls unharmed, but th more pressing matter was him. And he was no where to be seen. I allowed myself to relax for a bit, he was not here and would not likely be here for sometime.
"Hello Twilight! You can not believe how thankful I am for trapping Discord once again." I speak as I wrap a wing around Twilight and pull her close. Luna is speaking with the other bearers, most likely asking for details. She always did love a good fight.
I catch a bit of what she's saying, "Fear not, Discord will be put back in the garden. This time far away from where any ponies walk." Luna's right he needs to be far away from where our little ponies walk. I pull Twilight a little closer, I'm so relieved that she's safe.
"Aw Celly, that's adorable!" My blood runs cold. I was wrong, he is here.
Revan
Celly just looked so darn cute that I just had to tell her! Oops, she's flipping out. So is Lulu. Everyone else, wait should I use pony because their all ponies or...? Eh, whatever. Everypony else is just confused. Also better deal with the whole Discord thing.
"Hey Lulu, you said that Discord will be put back in the garden right? Weeellll I don't think that's good enough, he's far too dangerous," I turn to the statue, "Hey buddy! I know your alive in there. And that makes you dangerous!" Celestia is trembling, she knows what I'm planning. "And well you see buddy, I don't like dangerous things. So ciao, my new friend!"
Twilight looked around, confused. She was talking with Princess Celestia, when.. This thing came out from no where! He's talking to Discord, the Princess stiffens next to me.
One moment Discord's statue is there. The next moment, it's a pile of dust.
Wait the thing said that Discord was alive in there... Does that mean that..?
I think I'm going to throw up.
I could feel Discord's life from inside the statue. I feel as if Discord wasn't a true villain just misunderstood. Like some of my animals sometimes. Sometimes they think what works best for them, works best for everyone. I think Discord was just misunderstood.
So I watched his statue with interest.
I watched that blue beam destroy it.
I watched the dust settle.
And I screamed as I felt the life leave the statue.
I screamed at the pain I felt, but the pain isn't Discord's.
It's his.
Fluttershy is screaming, I need to help her. To make her happy.
But I'm to shocked. The meaniepants Discord is gone.
And the one who killed him has my curse.
How, how is he here! Celestia told me he was dead! She must have thought he died. She wouldn't lie to me, not about this.
Would she?
The bearers are confused, so is Luna. I understand why. I told her he was dead. And she cried, she cried for her best friend.
And I cried, because I had to lie to me sister. But she couldn't know. She would try to help him.
I was showen what would happen if he met the bearers.
And now one of Equestria's greatest heroes, will tear it apart.
The words that where told to me, one thousand years ago.
If the Grand General mets the Elements in their purest form,
Equestria will fall. The Nightmare returned, a new host for it's name.
And upon the darkest of nights a new meaning for the word hope will be born.
The dust from Discord's statue falls slowly to the ground. The silence grows, and grows, and grows. This is getting really awkward. So I turn to the others and yell,
"Hug me, Lulu!"
Who cares about timing?
She ran (galloped?) to me, "Rev!" She's still using the nickname too! We threw our.. well arms for me and legs for her, around each other and hugged tight. We hugged for a good minute, awaked silences for the win!
We pulled apart, "Jeez Lulu! I haven't seen you since before you turned into that thing that attacked Celly."
She grinned sheepishly, "Thats not a good memory."
I just smiled at her and looked around again. Ponies are looking at me in horror, but thats nothing new.
Time to look at those element girls!
Well not look through my eyes that is, but through the force.
Whoa that purple one is very, very powerful. Also terrified, looks up to Celly a ridiculous amount, confused, worried for her friends, and seems to be the bearer of the element of magic.
The marshmallow one has an average amount of magic, but very good control. She seems about ready to faint, bearer for generosity, and ridiculously worried about her drapes? Ok moving on.
The rainbow one has a lot of pegasus magic, probably doesn't know it ether. And she wants to attack me! This one looks like fun. Very overprotective. Hmm, definitely loyalty.
The orange one has a tight connection to the earth. Most likely a farmer. Also wants to attack me, but only if needed. Probably honesty, that ones always been the hardest to tell.
And the pink and yellow ones have connections to the force?
My face must have been enough, cuz Celly started talking. "I was wondering if you would notice, in the past few hundred years ponies with connections to the force have been popping up. No one could teach them so I left it alone."
Celly is nervous. I'm not surprised. She must know that she and I are going to have a bit of a chat.
Lulu looks back and forth between the two of us, before turning back to me with another smile. Aw, I can't stay angry near Lulu!
"How are you here anyway?" She looked at Celly, "Sister told me you died.. And you just killed Discord, I think we all need an explanation."
Everyone (Pony?) looked at Celly, she shook her head. "This is not the place to have this conversation, I'll teleport us all back to the castle."
With that she lit her horn and we were gone.
After 400 years, or is it 1400? Anyway, I'm still jealous I can't teleport!
Who is that thing?! Also how is he friends with Princess Luna! Also he called her Lulu! The Princess teleported us back to the castle. She looks really nervous, weird she always seems to have a glowing smile on. She obviously knows the thing, as does Lulu! I mean Princess Luna. I watch princess Luna and the thing talk. She keeps calling him 'Rev' I guess thats his name. I must know! For I am Twilight Sparkle, lady of knowledge! I mean I want to know who he is.
I should talk to the Princess and see if she'll dub me the Lady of Knowledge...
The purple one scares me, at first It was fine. Now it's weird, almost stalkerish. I look around as we walk to, wherever we're going. Hey the castle looks weird... Wait a minute.
"This isn't The Everfree Castle!"
Celly nods, "I had to abandon it around 15 years after Luna's banishment."
"Why?"
She winces, "Do you remember the weird feeling you started getting from the forest after Luna turned into the nightmare?"
I sigh, "Celly, please don't tell me yo-"
"Celly?!" Why is the purple one so loud?
I ignore the purple one and keep talking, "As I was saying, please don''t tell me you didn't do anything about it."
"I've had enough of this! I want some answers! How did you kill Discord?! How do you know the Princesses?! WHO ARE YOU?!" And now the purple one is in my face. Flip out commenced, wow she reminds me of a certain wizard.
I just look into the purple ones eyes. I'm about to knock her out when Celly grabbed her. Celly places her down next to her, and smiles.
"Patience my faithful student. We will talk about everything that happened today when we get to a better location."
I snort, "Faithful student? Who are you, Starswirl?"
The purple one fainted.
I wake up, where am I? What happened? Oh right, that weird thing showed up and.. I almost throw up. I'm going to be having nightmares of that for years to come. I process all this is a few seconds before looking around, the girls are all around me. They're talking to the Princesses, no one notices I'm awake but the thing. He smiles and waves. Princess Celestia notices I'm up.
"Twilight you're awake! Wonderful, we can start now."
"Finally! First, Who are you?! What are you?!" Rainbow is pointing at the thing.
He just lifts an eyebrow at her, "Well, my name is Revan. I'm a human, you don't really know what those are. Also why do you want to fight me so much?"
Rainbow glares at him, "How did you know that? Are you a spy? A mind reader?" Princess Luna laughs at that.
Revan laughs too, "I'm no spy. But I can read your mind at an emotional level."
What.
My mind has been to sluggish to anything at this point but this is to far.
"What?! That's impossible, it's scientifically impossible!" I throw my hooves in the air.
"Well purple one, you live in a world where magic is the norm. Is magic scientifically possible?"
"Yes! Well, no. But. Wait did you just call me 'purple one'?
"Yes. And?"
Princess Celestia clears her throat, "I think introductions are in order."
Revan smiles at her, "Sounds good to me Celly!"
Princess Luna seems to be bounding with joy, "Since this is for Revan, anyone can start first!"
Pinkie jumps up, "Hi Revan! I'm Pinkie Pie! I'm a superduper terrific party planner! My favorite things to do are makes pony happy! Also to make them laugh!"
Revan smiles at her, stares, and starts to mumble. "Hmm, mostly focused around emotional. Most likely has a pretty good warning system too."
We all stare at him for a moment before he shrugs and Rainbow started, "Ok, thats weird but I'm Rainbow Dash and I'm the best filer the world has ever seen!" She puffs her chest out proudly.
He looks to the Princesses, "Is she?"
Princess Celestia nods, "She performed the sonic rainboom when she was a foal."
Revan nods, "She does have quite a lot of air magic doesn't she."
"I have what?"
Rarity jumps in, "Never mind that dear! Let everyone have their turn," She nods at Revan,"My name is Rarity. I am a fashion designer."
He leaps across the table at her and grabs one of her hooves, "Please tell me that bellbottom jeans haven't become a thing here!"
Rarity looks confused, 'What dear?"
He lets of her hoof and slumps back into his chair, "Oh thank the force."
Fluttershy perked up a a bit at this, "Um, both you and Princess Celestia mentioned this force before. Would you mind telling us what that is? Only if thats ok with you of course."
He shakes his head, "I wouldn't mind, but first their are still three of you I don't know."
Flutters puts her hooves to her face in shock, "Oh my! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm sorry. I'm Fluttershy, I take care of animals."
AppleJack just stares, "I'm AppleJack, I'm a apple framer."
Revan smiles at both of them and runs to me, "Well now for the purple one."
I glare at him, "My name is Twilight Sparkle, I'm Princess Celestia's personal student."
Revan laughs at looks right at Celestia, "Wow, you are trying to be just like Starswirl!"
I lunge at him, "How do you know Starswirl The Bearded?!"
Revan laughed again, "You actually let him go down as that! I thought he was kidding!"
Luna rolls her eyes, 'It's all because you got him that stupid hat and cape. It gave him an ego taller then this mountain."
I can feel my eye's twitching, "You, you gave him his cape and hat?!"
Revan snots, "It was a gag gift. He said he wanted to look more like a wizard, so I gave him the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of wizards."
I can't handle this man, he makes no sense.
Revan shifts in his chair, "Now that I know everyone we can get back to the topic of the force."
He closes his eyes and his whole demeanor shifts, "The force is everywhere, it's kind of like the life force of everything. It's in everything. It can be used for many many things. Some good, and some are pretty bad. But it all depends on the user. If the user has good in their heart then the outcome great and wonderful, but if the user has evil in their heart then terrible things can happen."
We're all silent. He turns to Fluttershy and Pinkie, "Few are born with the ability use the force, the two of you have that."
Pinkie looks like she's about to cry, "You mean I'm not cursed?"
He gives her a sad laugh, "Cursed? No if anything your blessed, the universe has given you the power to help others."
Pinkie begins to cry, we all hug and Fluttershy starts to cry too. I can only think of one thing.
I watch the bearers cry, Revan does have a way with words. He was able to inspire armies to do impossible things. His title of Grand General is spot on. He and Luna were the warriors, I have always been the politician. I can only think of days long past.
10 years before the banishment of Nightmare Moon The Great Griffon War
The soldiers march in unison, the earth ponies, then the pegasi, and lastly the unicorns. All bear the armor of the 66th division, The Grand General's Fist. The terror of Equestria's enemies. I stand next to my sister and Revan. Me being here was supposed to be a moral boost for the troops. It was for all the other divisions, not for this one. They don't even bow, they give polite nods. They bow to Luna and salute to Revan. I am no ruler to them. They serve the Goddess of War and The God Slayer. They are the most elite soldiers, they have no need for the Goddess of Peace. They march to the last major griffon stronghold. After Revan killed their God King, they all but fell. I wonder how this troops will do after the end of-
I am taken out of my daydreams by a light poke, Revan laughs, "Jeez Celly, falling asleep already?"
I shake my head, "Just lost in the past."
He gives me a look, "Can we talk?"
I knew this was coming, "Yes, come with me."
He nods and we take our leave, Luna looks at us with a confused glance. I mouth at her 'trust me'. She nods and I lead Revan to my chambers, he wanders around and flips through my books before turning to me. I plop down on a cushion and he speaks,
"So I see my way of speaking caught on."
"Yes, I started using it a few years after Luna's banishment. The nobles took it and flew with it."
His grip tightens on one of my books, "Lulu's banishment? You said something happened to the Everfree after that."
I nod, "Yes remnants of the dark magic Luna used turned the forest wild."
"Is that why you banished Lulu? Dark magic? You never actually told me."
"Yes."
He slams the book to the ground, "Then why did you banish me?!"
His voice is full of power, anything fragile in my room breaks. The windows, vases, books, and even some wooden posts. He's angry, as he should be.
I'm shaking, "You don't need to know."
"I don't need to know?! And why is that Celestia? I would think that being put in a cave for a thousand years would give me the right to know!"
He called me Celestia, he's more then angry. I force out the words in my throat, "Please Revan just trust me."
"Trust you?! You suck my in a cave for a thousand years with no explanation. You even did it while I was attempting to see if we could free Luna from her banishment and help her! YOU TOLD LUNA THAT I WAS DEAD! YOU BETRAYED ME! SO NO CELESTIA I DO NOT TRUST YOU."
Ponies wonder where the royal canterlot voice came from. My room is in disarray, almost everything is broken or ripped to shreds. Only by his voice. I bow my head, "Do what you will with me, but I do not regret my choice ."
He laughs, "Oh no Celestia, I need to find out why first. Then we'll have another chat."
Luna bursts thought the doors, the bearers right behind her.
"Sister, Revan what happened?"
He laughs again, "Nothing Lulu! We were just having a chat!"
Revan
Celly is making me angry, she does that.
The lot of us are walking back to our meeting room when it hits me. How could I have forgotten?
I turn to Celly, "What happened to Mi Amore and Blue?!"
I think she can tell I'm flipping out.
Celly smiles, "Lets just wait till we get get back to the meeting room."
What is so important about this meeting room?! We reach the room and I'm hyperventilating, the bearers look worried. Fluttershy walks over to me.
"Are you alright?"
I sit down and stare at her, "No I'm kind of worried about what happened to my children."
"WHAT?!'
Saw that coming.
I give the bearers what I assume is a crazed look, "What? I adopted two siblings."
"Oooohhh."
Crisis averted!
Once we're all seated I almost lung at Celly, "What happened to my kids."
She just gives me a sad smile, "I adopted them both as my niece and nephew after you... left. Blueblood took over your noble house and that house is still going strong today."
Her smile turns delighted, "Cadence ascended, and became the Goddess of Love."
Twilight and I fainted.
Twilight
I wake up for the second time today after fainting and I'm in a bad mood. Somepony is trying to talk to me but I'm looking for Revan. I need to grill him for...
Oh, he's crying.
"ONE OF MY BABIES ARE ALIVE!"
And screaming. Luna and Fluttershy are hugging him but It doesn't look like that's helping. He lunges at Princess Celestia,
"WHERE IS SHE?!"
She leans to the side, "Well right now she's in her room in the royal suites.. And he's gone."
I have never seen anything run that fast.
Dash pokes her head out the door, "Wow he runs almost as fast as I can fly. Almost."
Princess Luna does the same, "Yes that's another one of his force powers."
Applejack looks to Princess Celestia, "Should we go after him?"
She shakes her head, "No I think their going to need some time."
Rarity raises a hoof, "I have a question your highness."
"Yes Rarity?"
"You keep mentioning Revan as if he was around 1000 years ago, and if he was I would think something like him would get in the history books. And it seemed like he knew Starswirl the bearded from what he was saying."
Why didn't I think of that?
Pinkie pops out of Princess Celestia's mane, "Yeah! Whats with that?"
The Princess levitates Pinkie out of her mane, "He is in history books, but he went down as two different ponies."
My mind is running through all of the history I know, "Who Princess?"
Princess Luna sits back down, "I would like to know as well. I admit I didn't really look for him."
Princess Celestia sighs, "He went down as The Great General and The God Slayer."
Rainbow's head whips around and her jaw drops, as does Fluttershy's. My head is running through all the information I know about 1000 years ago.
When I remember my jaw drops too, "He's the hero of The Great Griffon War?!"
Rainbow lunges at me, "Hero?! Twi he's the most amazing general Equestria has ever seen! He killed the griffon god!"
Pinkie giggles, "Dashie how do you even know that?"
Fluttershy poppes in, "Every pegasus is told the stories of the The Great General and The God Slayer. In the stories he was always a pegasus so he was seen as a legend to our tribe."
Princess Luna laughs, " I wonder how that happened, in pony form he was a unicorn."
"Pony form?"
Princess Celestia nods, "He and Starswirl spent a lot of time making an artifact that would allow him to have a pony from, it took them years but they managed to do it."
I'm about to speak when a guard rushes in,
"Princesses! A strange unicorn just challenged Captain Armor to a duel!"
I'm running as fast as I can, thank goodness for force powers.
I stop when I realize that I have no idea where the royal suites are in this castle.
Whoops.
I find myself in some random part of the castle, and I slump against a wall. Running around without an idea where I am won't get me to Mi Amore faster. Celly called her 'Cadence', a nickname from Cadenza I'm assuming. My hand rustles through my bag, and my hand clasps the small amulet. The final gift from an old friend, putting it on will turn me into a unicorn. I slip it on and try to get used to the feeling of being a unicorn again. I still have the royal guard armor on, but it's probably outdated by now, so I take it off. Now I just look like a normal unicorn, except for my weird cutie mark, and I'm Lulu's size, and weirdly enough a white coat and black mane isn't a normal combination. Ok so I don't look that normal. But at least I'm a pony now, mostly.
Moving on!
I'm sitting here trying to think about how I can find out where Mi Amore is when some random guy pokes me,
"Hello? Sir? You look lost, can I help you?" I look up, it's just a guard.
A guard with modern royal guard armor.
"Yes, yes you can help me."
I stuffed him in a closet, he'll be fine. The best part of this armor is that it makes you look like the rest of the guard. Even with size, so I slip it on and walk like I know what I'm doing.
When I pass another guard I stop him, "Where is Princess Cadenza? I have a message for her."
He points to a tower on the side of the castle, "In the royal suites."
"Thank you." He walks away without a second thought. Man security is bad, I'll have to work on that.
I slowly make my way to the tower. When I get there their aren't even any guards at the doors. Geez did Celly decide that security was for wimps? I push the door open and sigh at the long row of doors that await me. I'm to lazy I don't have the time to look in every room in the hall, so I cast a small but useful spell Starswirl taught me. It gives me heightened hearing, if used with lots of people around it's annoying. But with a small number of people it makes it easier to find or listen in. I hear a small conversation going near the end of the hall so I make my way down. When I find the door I stop to listen in.
The first voice I hear is a stallion, whom I might have to kill later, "Cadence you know it's too dangerous. Discord has been dealt with, but we're too short on guards right now for you to leave the castle."
"All I need is you Shiny, your worth 10 guards." My heart stops, It's my little girl.
Who seems a little too fond of that stallion...
"But I heard Twilight is in the castle, I want to tell her about our engagement..."
WHAT
I blew the door up, "NOPE NOPE NOPE!"
'Shiny' immediately threw a shield up to protect Mi Amore, I'll give him that.
"Who are you? And how do you have royal guard armor?"
I cackle, which is probably not good, "I'm here to challenge you to a duel for Mi Amore!"
He laughs, "Bring it on!"
Mi Amore speaks, "Mi Amore...?! Shiny, wait!"
But we've already teleported away.
We appear in what I assumed to be the royal guard training grounds. There are guards all around, they all turn to us.
'Shiny' addresses them, "Boys I've got a duel, but don't worry. I've got this moron."
The guards laugh and form a circle around us to watch, by their smiles they think he does have this. One runs off though.
I think this will be fun.
"I'd ask you take off that armor, I don't want to destroy perfectly good armor." 'Shiny' is really full of himself.
I laugh, "As a solider, I can respect that."
He's about to respond when I take off the armor, and his jaw drops. As do all of the guards. A few stare at my cutie mark, I guess twin crossed blue lightsabers with a black swirl isn't normal. I look at them, "Rude." They blush and look away.
For dramatic effect I summon my armor, and fell awesome. I mean this stuff looks awesome, I came to Equestria in it and when I transform it transforms with me. It's got red and copper body armor and black robes. The robes have a cape that covers all of my back and sides, and it's awesome. It's got a hood, but I don't use it. I have to stop my self from going 'YEEEEEEE' every time I see it. I summon my light sabers for extra effect. I don't turn them on, not yet.
'Shiny' doesn't look to full of himself now. Nor does he feel confident. He covers with a snort and summons his own armor. Convincing, if I couldn't feel his emotions. We take battle stances, he laughs at mine.
"That's one weird version of the general stance."
I laugh, "Weird version? Yours is the weird one."
We start to circle each, "I learned this from masters who studied it for years."
I lunged, "I created it."
That surprises him long enough that I get under his guard, I'm about turn my light saber on when,
"STOP!"
Cadence
The two flash away just as I yell, this is bad.
Because if that's who I think it was...
Shining Armour is good but daddy will kill him.
Fast
If only I had stopped them faster. But now I need to get to the training ground. That's where Shining would go. I start running, I'm nearing the throne room when I run into my aunts and Twilight and the girls.
"Cadence!"
"Aunt Celestia what is doing on!?"
Auntie Luna pops in, "No time for that, we can't let Revan kill the captain!"
Twilight is hysterical, "Why does he want to kill my brother?!"
"YOUR BROTHER?!"
"Twilight did you forget to tell your friends you had a brother?!"
"Maybe..."
"Twilight!"
Auntie Luna pops in again, "Not important right now!"
Auntie Celestia nods, "Let's go!"
We teleported to the grounds.
Daddy's saber is about to hurt Shining.
I won't let people I love hurt each, "STOP!"
Daddy bounces back and puts his sabers away. Then turns, runs to me, and wraps me in a hug.
"My baby girl, look how you've grown Mi Amore."
I hug him as hard as I can, "Daddy is that really you?"
"Daddy?!" Sorry Shiny I'll explain later.
"It's me, my little angel." He laughs, "I can't really call you that anymore can I? Your an alicorn now."
"You can call me whatever you want."
And I cry in the arms of the father I thought long dead.
Early today the god of chaos escaped his prison, to be stopped by my sister and her friends. Then when I was spending time with Cadence, somepony starts screaming and challenges me to a duel. Duels? I like those, I win those. I would have died in this one if not for Cadence, and now their hugging each other and crying.
And he's her dad.
Oh crap he must have heard me mention the engagement.
Wait earlier didn't he say he created the general's stance?
Wait.

Twilight Sparkle
My brother is freaking out. I walk over and poke him.
"Shiny? You okay?"
He looks at me frantically, "Twilight is that really Cadence's dad?!"
I sigh, "Shining Armour, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is the adopted daughter of Grand General Revan, The God Slayer."
He just meeped.
I did not know that was a real sound.
I turn from my brother and walk over to Princess Celestia, "Princess why don't we go back to the meeting room so they have more privacy?"
Both Princess Celestia and Luna nod. A flash later we're in the meeting room again.
Rainbow sits in a chair, "How many ponies can fit in here? 'Cuz at the rate we're gaining ponies, we're gonna need a bigger room."
Aj sits next to her, "I don't even remember what we where talking about."
Rainbow nods, "Me too, so are we just gonna ignore the crying ponies?"
Fluttershy whisper screams from where Revan and Cadence are, "I'm not ignoring them!"
"That's cool Shy!"
Revan
Holding Mi Amore after all this time, after thinking I'd never see her again, is wonderful.
But it also makes me miss Blue more.
Enitheiz Blueblood. He hated his first name, so I always called him Blue. He liked that. He was such a playful colt. He always was watching out for Mi Amore, even though he was the younger sibling. He told me that when they were younger ponies would make fun of Mi Amore for being a pegasus. I never understood pony racism, your all ponies. Some of you have extra parts, your still ponies. Get over it. The nobles were always against it too.
I have a very bad feeling that that isn't true anymore.
Too bad I don't care right now. The only things I care about right now are my kids. I really need to see the noble house Blue put together. The thing was a gift from Celly and Lulu, I always just ignored it. So I really want to see what he did with it.
While I'm thinking I notice that we teleported back to the meeting room. I feel Fluttershy walking over, she simply sits next to us and puts out a calming influence. Wow she's doing it naturally, I wonder what she could do if I trained her.
Then out of no where she turns to the middle of the room and whisper screams, "I'm not ignoring them!"
I didn't know whisper screaming was a real thing.
On that note, I raise my head from the hug and turn to 'Shiny'.
"So why don't you introduce yourself?"
He is the most nervous pony in the world right now, "Uh, um, Hello sir. I'm.. I am Shining Armour, captain of the royal guard."
Mi Amore glares at me, "Daddy don't be mean to Shiny."
I giggle, "So Shining, why do you want to marry my daughter?"
Before he can say a thing, Twilight is in his face. "YOU AND CADENCE ARE DATING?!"
I look back and forth at the two of them, "Wait are those two siblings?"
Mi Amore nods, "Yep, I used to foalsit Twilight when she was younger too. I've known them for years."
"Hey Twily can you not look like you want to murder me?"
"NOPE."
Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are losing it in the corner. The other elements are just really confused.
Today is turning into a good day.
Celestia
Today is turning into a weird day.
Earlier today, Discord was freed. Then Revan was freed, and he killed Discord. Then Revan yelled at me. Then he fought Captain Armour, now he's interrogating him.
I don't know what I expected from today.
Well I know it wasn't this.
Revan
"Why do you love her?"
"She's a wonderful mare, and she is the most beautiful mare ever."
"Your honest, I like that. If you hadn't said anything about her being pretty I would have killed you."
"Daddy no!"
"Only I can kill my brother."
"Twily you worry me."
"Good."
"Okay Twilight, that's a little creepy."
"Moving on! Mi Amore?"
"Yes daddy?"
"Do you love him."
"Yep."
"Fine, you can marry her."
Twilight Sparkle
My brother dances worse then I do.
We're gonna need to work on that before the wedding.
Cadence
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Today is the best day ever!
One, Discord didn't hurt anyone.
Two, Daddy is back!
Three, He gave me and Shiny permission to get married!
Nothing can ruin this day!
"Auntie Tia, why are all of these worthless peasants in the castle?
Who is this? Celly, Lulu, and Mi Amore are all groaning. And from what he said he's a jerk so...
Wait why does he look like Blu-
"Oh are you kidding me?"
MI Amore sighs, "Sadly, no."
The new Blueblood seems angry, "Auntie, I asked you why these commoners are here!"
Celly puts on a fake smile, that looks absolutely terrifying, "Why my little nephew; one, don't refer to your ponies as commoners, two, even if I let you call them that, these are the element they wouldn't be commoners, and lastly," She bends down to him, "Respect the other royalty in the room."
Pffffft, he looks like he's gonna wet his pants. He quickly bows to Lulu and then turns to Mi Amore, when he sees me his eyes widen.
"Who is that?!"
I'm at his side with my foreleg around his shoulders before anyone even says anything.
"I'm your grandfather."
"No you aren't."
"Yes I am."
"I am positive your not."
"Well I'm actually your ancestor, but your gonna call me grandfather."
"Your joking," He looks to Celly, who nods. Then to Lulu, who nods. And lastly to Mi Amore, who nods. "Your not joking."
I turn his head to me, "And Grandson, from what I have heard, you need help."
"With what?!"
"Your personality."
He just stares at me with the most confused look I have ever seen.
I turn my head to Twilight, "Hey Twi? Can I call you Twi? Anyway do all of you and your friends live in the same town?"
"Um, yes?"
"To which question?"
"Both?"
"Okay good! What's the name of the town?"
"Ponyville."
I stand up, "All right ponies I have the master plan!"
"What." Oh wow that was in unison. Well except for Pinkie she's bouncing happily next to Fluttershy.
I put a hoof to my chest, "Yes the wonderful master plan I put together thirty seconds ago."
I walk over to Fluttershy and Pinkie, "I am going to live in Ponyville!"
Applejack is getting that same confused expression, "Why?"
I hug Fluttershy and Pinkie, "So I can train these two. I always wanted padawans, I mean students."
I walk back over to Blueblood, "And he is coming with me!"
"NO!" Wow that was weird, it came from both Rarity and Blueblood!
Rainbow Dash smiles, "Oh this sounds like it's gonna be fun!"
Blueblood throws himself at Celly's hoofs, "Auntie please! He can't do this!"
Celly is giving him her, 'you think I care don't you? Also this is cracking me up' look. "Actually he can! He's actually the real head of the Blueblood house! Have fun in Ponyville!"
Oh my gosh he's crying.
Blueblood
This is the worst day of my life. Earlier today a chaos god made me paint my entire house blue. Then my aunt basically banishes me to some backwater town, with a pony that is apparently my ancestor. And hes making me call him grandfather.
I raise my head up, I've been sitting with my head down since we boarded the train.
These commene- The Element Bearers are all chatting with that stupid crazy s- my grandfather.
This is gonna take a lot to get used too. I look out the window, we're nearing Ponyville. Where are we even going to live? Does he even know?
I look over to him making faces with the pink one.
This plan of his is probably just scribbles, made with crayon.
Oh joy, the white one noticed me staring. Why is she glaring at me like that?
Wait. Isn't she the mare from the gal-
I'm going to get murdered. And now I have reason to believe no one will care.
How did I just realize my life sucks? Or did my life just start sucking? I'm even using the word 'suck' being near these ponies is making me unrefined!
And no one cares.
I sigh as the train stops in the station. I follow the others out, I wasn't even aloud to pack anything, I take a step outside the station and look up at the sky.
My 'grandfather' calls out to me, "Come come little grandson! We have places to be!"
And my forced new life begins.
Cadence
Today is the best day of my life, nothing will be able to top this. Not even my wedding day, when that comes that is.
Even after all the great things that happened day, daddy got Blueblood banished to Ponyville!
Well he's not banish, but close enough. Hopefully Daddy can make him more like Blue was, that would make both of us happy.
Mean while I have a wedding to plan. And I have to find out what my 'Auntie Celestia' is hiding. Daddy didn't say anything, but he doesn't know that I can feel the love between ponies now.
The love between him and Auntie Lulu was strong.
The love between him and Celestia was warped and twisted, Celestia is afraid of him. And he's angry beyond measure.
I think Celestia banished him.
Time to find out why.
Revan
"Here we are! Ponytown!"
"Ponyville."
"Whatever!" I am excited!
I get to train two ponies, I get to fix my young grandson's personality.
The best part is this will make Celly think I'm not planning anything!
Oh how wrong she will be.
I will find out why she banished me, and when I do?
I look around at the small town of Ponyville. It's got a nice homey feel. Like anyone is welcome, it's got a nice forest in the distance too...
"Waaaaaaait, is that what I think it is?"
Twilight follows my gaze to the forest, "What, the Everfree?"
I perk up, "It is the Everfree!"
She's about to ask me another questions when she's interrupted by Blueblood, "This conversation is enthralling, but the other bearers already left. Shouldn't we do the same?"
I give him a surprised look, "I thought you'd want to stay out of town as long as you could."
"The train conductor has been giving us a death glare for a few minutes now."
Twi and I look back,
By the force he wants us dead.
We quickly start our walk away from that future murderer. I mostly just follow Twilight while looking back every once in a while to make sure Blueblood is still following.
As we near the center of town Twi pulls out a clipboard, "Alright so we have some ponies to visit to make sure you're all set up."
She points toward a building with a hammer and nail for a sign, "First we're going to have to get you a house built."
Then turns toward what I assume is the town hall, "Second we get both of you registered as citizens of Ponyville.
She keeps listing things but I stopped paying attention until we started walking toward the hammer and nails place. A small bell rings when we open the door.
I hear a muffled voice from the back, "Welcome to Ponyville builders, what can I do for you?"
Twi starts walking through the ridiculous amount of wood in this place and we follow.
We reach the desk and find a young stallion reading some magazine behind a small desk.
Twi puts her hoof down lightly on the desk, "We need a house built."
He looks up and drops his magazine at the sight of me, "Who is that?!"
"Rude." Blueblood and I say in unison. I smile at him and he groans.
Twilight sighs, "Not important, but they need a house."
He shakes off his shock and grabs a quill and a pad of paper, "Alright, what do you need?"
Twi opens her mouth but I step up, "We're going to need two bedrooms, at least one bathroom, a sitting room, and one big wide room. Kind of like a dojo. Can you do that?"
He nods, "Easy enough, should take around a week." I love magic, makes thing so much easier.
He pulls a drawer out, "Do you want me to show you the places around town we can build?"
"I have a better question, how close can you get it to the Everfree?"
With our house all set to be finished in a week, we head for town hall. As we walk in I have to duck my head, sometimes being tall in a world where everyone is almost the same height is hard. The receptionist looks up, "New citizens?" Twilight nods. She jerks her head at some chairs near an office door. Blueblood collapses into one of the chairs, I sit next to him and look at the office door.
It reads, 'Mayor Mare'. I whisper to Twi, "Is that really her name?"
"I don't actually know."
We sit around for a while, what I'd expect from a mayor's office. Nothing really happens except for a few whimpers and moans from Blueblood. After what feels like hours, the receptionist say, "The Mayor will see you now."
We get up and Twilight pushes the door open. The mare behind the desk looks ragged and tired. She just sighs when she sees me and Blueblood.
"Hello Twilight, I'm going to assume these are the new citizens. I was hoping for more normal ones, especially after this mornings events."
Oh yeah the Discord thing was this morning.
She shakes her head, "Besides that, can I assume you already have a house being built?"
I nod
She smiles and pulls some paper from a drawer, "That's good, someponies come in here expecting me to have houses for them as soon as they move. I suppose having Twilight helping did that."
I laugh, "When I decided we were moving here I did overlook that."
She pulls out a quill and starts to write on the papers she took earlier, "These are your citizenship forms. I need names, and well your both ponies so thats taking care of."
Twi coughs, oh wait.
I raise a hoof, "Um, I'm not actually a pony."
She raises her eyebrows, "Then what are you?"
"My species in known as 'Humans'."
Her jaw drops, "Are you telling me Lyra Heartstrings was right?!"
Twi and I exchange confused looks, before she asks, "Um, Mayor Mare? What was Lyra right about?"
The mayor slams her hoofs on the table, "She's been telling the town for years that a bi-pedal species called 'Humans' lived in a universe near ours!"
I laugh, "Wow I need to talk to her."
Twi rolls her eyes, "I'll introduce you later."
The mayor sighs and goes back to the papers, "That aside I still need full names. And If the two of you are related I'm going to need the specifics of that as well."
"My name is Revan."
"My name is Gabriel Blueblood."
Twi pops in, "And if you would write down Revan as his grandfather."
She raises her eyebrows again, I shrug, "Actually I'm his ancestor."
She just sighs again and makes us wait uncomfortably for a few minutes before she lifts up her quill.
We walk out of the mayor's office as the sun sets, wow today was a long day. Got freed this morning, killed Discord, and got to see Lulu and Celly! Which is nice even if I might beat up Celly later, maybe. It depends.
She deserves to die.
I won't kill her though, I'm not crazy enough to kill one of the countries rulers.
She lied to us, told our children we were dead.
She had to have had a good reason, right?
Twilight Sparkle
My thoughts are jumbled. Far too much happened today. I can only hope my brain can sort this all out while I sleep. That skill might have been the best thing Princess Celestia taught to me. Sadly even though the moon has risen I will not likely get to sleep for another hour or so.
Offering to let Revan and Blueblood sleep in the library until their house is built might not have been my best decision. I don't think he was pay attention when I offered. I don't even think he was paying attention when he said yes and thanked me. I only have one guest bed and I doubt they will want to share. I will admit however, my reasons aren't necessarily charitable.
Revan is an enigma. He disappeared a few years after Nightmare Moon, and Equestria was told he was dead. Even his two children and Princess Celestia believed he was dead. Yet he was apparently 'freed' by Discord. He also seems to be immortal, so now we have anoth-
My thoughts were interrupted as I walked into my own door.
"Uh, Twi? I don't think that's how you open a door."
"I know that."
"M'kay good."
Hey brain maybe in that rant you should have mentioned he's also crazy.
I pull my face from the door and sigh. I open the door and let Revan and Blueblood in.
"Oh a library this is cool. What do you think Blueblood?"
"It's wonderful."
"Was that sarcasm?"
"Yes."
"Good."
This is gonna be one long week.
Revan
After talking it over with Twi, Blueblood will take her guest bed while we're here. And I get a couch. I like couches.
I walk over to the now in bed Blueblood and ask gleefully, "Do I need to tuck you in, little Blueblood?"
He started screaming into his pillow, I'll take that as my cue to leave. I start to walk down the stairs when Twi calls after me, "Wait how come Blueblood doesn't have a nickname?"
"He hasn't earn it ye- Twi?"
"Um, yes?"
"Is that a dragon sleeping in a basket on your floor?"
"Yes."
"Ok."
And with that I went to bed.
I find myself walking in a sea of deep blue, full of stars. I've somehow been put back into my human form.
Ah, I'm dreaming. I stop walking and look around for Lulu.
"Lulu? Are you here?" I call around for a few minutes before realizing I'm alone. Then I notice something out of the corner of my eye.
A star seems to be flying towards me, I turn to it and wait. It stops in front of me, waiting. So I reach out and tap it. The star begins to grow, little stems of light start coming from it. The stems surround me and my vision goes white.
"-rono! I've been yelling for five minutes! WAKE UP!"
I jolt up, "IM UP IM UP! WHAT DO YOU WANT WOMAN?!"
"I WANT YOU TO WAKE UP BEFORE NOON, WE STILL HAVE STUFF TO PREPARE!"
"STOP YELLING."
"Fine! But get off the bed!'
I mumble and get off of the hotel bed. I check the clock by the bed, and turn to Alexandra.
"Noon?! It's 6:30!"
She flips her hazel hair over her shoulder, "I was bored, also we need to make sure our costumes are ready."
"We checked before we left, and last night when we got here. Also the con doesn't even start for another hour and a half!"
"I want our couples cosplay to be perfect!"
"I don't even like the Bastila x Revan ship! I said I was going as Revan and you decided that we were going as a couple cosplay!"
"Too bad! You have to do what your wife wants."
I'm jolted out of my dream by screaming, "TWILIGHT WHY IS BLUEBLOOD IN OUR HOUSE?!"
Blueblood
I wake up to screaming, "TWILIGHT WHY IS BLUEBLOOD IN OUR HOUSE?!"
I raise out of this horrible bed to see a smal- LUNA'S MOON IS THAT A DRAGON?!

And now they're both screaming. Today is going to be a great day, I can tell.
*CRASH*
"HAHA TODAY IS GONNA BE GREAT!"
And Revan just fell off of the couch laughing.
I put a bubble around both Spike and Blueblood, I'll deal with that when I'm awake. The bubble spell at least stops me from hearing the screaming.
Revan runs up the stairs to almost fall down them laughing, "That is the best use of a bubble spell ever!"
I put one around him too.
I pull out one of the empty journals I have around for experiments. I open to the first page and write five words,
After some quick explanations to both Spike and Blueblood, Revan and I left the library. Pinkie had mentioned yesterday that see wanted Revan to come to SugarCube Corner. I led the way as Revan mumbled happly under his breath.
I could only catch a few words but they seemed rather strange, "Spikester? Spiken? Spike? SD? Ooooh I like that one."
It seems Spike has earned his nickname by existing.
I greet a few ponies as we walk, thankfully not Lyra.
That is a conversation I do not want to have yet, she's been screaming about humans as long as I've know her. I have no idea what she'll do when she meets an actually human. Nothing good most likely.
We reach Sugarcube Corner and the familiar bells on the door jingle. I spot Pinkie waving at us from a booth in the back of the shop. Revan finally stops his mumblings and we move to the table.
I open my mouth to greet the girls but Revan beats me to it, "Sup Harmony Gals! Who wants to here they're nickname?!"
Pinkie pops up,"ME!! ME!!'
"Pinks."
Rainbow puts her hoof up, "Me!"
"Dashie."
Applejack tilts her hat, "Um, me?"
"AJ. Also I'm not waiting for Rares and Flutters to answer."
Rainbow gave a confused look, "How come most of them end in s?"
Revan rolled his eyes as he sat down, "Because I came up with them like three seconds ago, I was busy making SD's nickname."
Rarity gave a confused look, "SD?"
"Spike."
That trilling conversation was stopped when Mrs.Cake came by with menus and the seven of us started looking through.
After a minute or two of silence Revan looked up from his menu, "This place is diabetes in a muffin isn't it?"
"Finally someone notices." I say under my breath.
Pinkie looks confused, "Whats diabetes?"
Everyone laughs at that and when Mrs.Cake comes by a moment later we place our orders.
After Mrs.Cake is away Rainbow turns to Revan, "So I've got a few questions that didn't really get answered yesterday."
He shrugs, "Ask away. We might as well make this an open question time, I'll answer any question I think I'm ready to tell you."
We all nod and Rainbow goes first, "So If your a human, how did you get here?"
"I have no idea."
Applejack gives him a look, "Really?"
"Well yeah I don't have any memories of before I came to Equestria."
We all just stare, I'm the first to break the silence, "Do the princesses know?"
He stares out, as if seeing nothing, "Of course, they tried to get my memories back for years. But they only thing I can remember is putting on a mask."
"A mask?" Fluttershy speaks up.
Revan nods and his horn glows grey for a moment, and a sliver mask falls on the table.
Rarity stares, before turning to Revan, "May I?"
"Of course."
Rarity picks it up in her telekinesis and begins to turn it slowly in circles.
Applejack looks rather confused, "Why this mask though? Why would it be the only thing ya remember?"
Revan simply shakes his head, "I'm not sure i'll ever know."
At this point, I'm the confused one. Why is he so open with us? We meet him yesterday, yet he treats us as if we've known him for years. Not to mention this mask, I'd like to study it to see if it gives off any magically energies.
Before I can continue this line of thought, Mrs. Cake comes with our food, and Revan teleports his mask to wherever he's been keeping it.
We're all quiet as we eat, but there are some giggle when we see how Revan eats like Pinkie, as fast as he can.
After we all finish Revan puts his hooves together, "So I'd like to talk about Flutters and Pinkes training."
Rainbow reacts to that by slamming her hooves on the table, "Hey! When did they agree to any training?!"
Pinkie laughs, "Well I did!"
Rainbow lifts her hoofs and looks to Pinkie in surprise, "When?!"
"Right now!"
Pinkie and Revan hoof bump.
Everyone turns to Fluttershy, she staring out the window. She closes her eyes, "I want to learn."
Revan nods, "I'm having a room we can use built at my house, we'll start when my house is finished."
Well it looks like life is going to be interesting with Revan and Bluebl- "Crap."
Everyone looks at me in confusion, I look at Revan, "We left Blueblood and Spike alone at the library.
In that moment of revelation, a certain light green unicorn walks by.
"Hey girls!" Lyra says happily
Oh no
Pinkie waves, "Hi Lyra!"
This is not happening
Revan smiles evilly, "Hi Lyra! My name is Revan! Wanna know what I am?!"
Someponies swore by Celestia's sun that Princess Mi Amore Cadenza was the most graceful and kind of the royalty of Equestria. Her aunt, Princess Celestia, they said, was of course graceful and kind. And her aunt Princess Luna was not as kind, but she could easily be as graceful as her sister, if she wished. They did not even speak of her 'cousin' Prince Blueblood in the same sentence as the word kind. But something about the Princess of Love made ponies delighted to even hear her name. She was love, and love encompassed all.
Cadence was not feeling kind or graceful.
Cadence, internally, screamed. It was a very loud internal scream, one she want to be external. Sadly, Cadence was in a library, the Canterlot Royal Archives to be exact, and did not want twenty librarians whisper screaming at her.
She instead, let out a small and quite sigh. Cadence once again took in her surroundings.
She was in one of the older parts of the library, with hundreds of year old bookshelves that were only still in such good condition because of helpful spells. And those old bookshelves held even older books. Ones from before, and during, the fall of the night princess. And surrounded by these priceless books, with pillows and blankets all around her, Cadence was searching the books.
Cadence was searching these books for mentions of her father.
Cadence was not having very much luck. Oh, she was finding mentions of her father, but not the ones she wanted. She found stories of his heroics on the battlefield during The Great Griffon War, with his unbeatable 66th legion behind him. Most of them written by soldiers who watched he and his legion save theirs. She found many of those.
I had never seen the Grand General before this day. And I will never forget him after it.
My legion, the 8th, some of Celestia's finest, had been pinned down by griffon forces for days. We were unsure if we could fight them back. And retreat was out of the question, we would give no ground to the griffons. We heard rumors that our superiors had a plan, and that we would attack soon.
The griffons had heard of this too.
They had brought everything, and had managed to take us completely by surprise. Thousands of griffon's bombarded our main camp, I could see fire and smoke all around me. The griffons targeted our unicorn's first, we had no shields. They were slowly picking our pegasi out of the sky. And they dropped bombs on our artillery. And when all seemed lost,
They appeared.
An entire legion filled with black coated unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies. And leading them, the Grand General. He was swathed in black robes, bronze and red armor. A black hood covered the majority of his face, and combined with his unnatural height, the unicorn general was an imposing figure.
The griffon's soon realized who had arrived, and turned all of their attention to the 66th legion. It did them no good. They fought like demons. And nothing could stop the Grand General's blades. After the battle I asked around, he calls them 'lightsabers'. A fitting name as they appear to be made of blue light.
With the help of the 66th legion, the battle was over. The griffons had fled and we had taken less casualties then originally thought, it was a victory. We cheered, and set out the help the wounded.
The Grand General helped most of all, I had heard rumors of his strange abilities, but this was beyond rumor. On that day I watched him stabilize the worst injured ponies with a wave of his hoof.
After things had clammed down, our superiors called an assembly. The Grand General would be addressing us.
As he approached us, he lowered his hood, his grey magic flicking it back.
He smiled, "Hello, my faithful soldiers, I have one thing to say to you. Be strong, our war is coming to an end. Of that I promise you, tomorrow I return to the capital, to plan the end. And some of you may ask, 'why would I announce that in a place where the enemy could hear?'." His glazed swept across all of us, "Because I do not fear them. I want them to know we are planning to end them. I do not fear them."
He flipped his hood back on and turn away from us, "Let them fear us."
Two weeks after this speech, he killed the griffon's god king. He became The God Slayer.
Equestria will always be safe with the Grand General by it's side.
She had found hundreds of those. But want she couldn't find was evidence of a fight or a falling out between her father and her aunt Celestia.
She knew that something had happened between the two. The love between them was twisted and threatening to break.
Cadence knew she could fix it, but only if she could find out why.
She sighed again, no luck.
A guard called out to her, Cadence closed her books, placed them neatly back in their place, and walked after the guard.
Night had fallen sometime ago over Canterlot. The city was in no way quiet, parties boomed with beats and shouting, and even some families were still out. Having a semi-nocturnal lifestyle had become rather popular a year or so after Luna's return. Said princess loved it, as did many a university student, who had just found their late night study session could now be called normal study session.
All that side, many ponies were as asleep as Celestia's sun. Yet Celestia herself had not yet gone to rest.
The sun goddess placed her room, bare hooves hitting her granite floors with a quiet clip. Her mind was ablaze with possibilities, plans, and futures. Many of her said plans had just recently been thrown astray with the return of Revan.
Celestia did not hate Revan. She never had, he was always a good friend. Even if he had been closer to Luna. The two had shared similar philosophies which made them a terror to work with.
Celestia sighed, and made her way to her balcony. Her mind now occupied by thoughts of the past.
One memory shone brighter than the others, one Celestia doubted she would ever forget.
The day she and Luna had meet Revan.
The forces of Equestria were around six months into what would be called The Great Griffon War. The armies of Equestria were deadlocked on the Griffonian border. Nether armies could get a large enough victory to push the enemy back.
The forces of both armies were finally starting to realize what full scale war really meant, moral was low on both sides. Many of the Equestrians had believed with their superior magical power and ground control, that the war would be quick and decisive.
The Griffon’s had believed that the Equestrian’s would run in fear at their own massive armies and sky superiority.
It turned out the the two were evenly matched.
The Griffons, although later they would, had not yet found a reliable way through the unicorn shields that protected the main bulk of the Equestrian armies.
The Equestrian's problem was that the Griffon’s were using steel armor and weapons compared to the ponies iron. Pegasi wingblades couldn’t get through Griffon armor.
With both sides rushing to find away around their separate problems, minor battles were still being fought.
It was during one of these battles that a flash of white light filled the air.
The Griffons feld, assuming it to be a unicorn’s spell.
The Equestrian’s went to look, knowing it was no spell of theirs.
Leading the Equestrian’s in that battle was no other than Princess Luna, recently returned to the front lines.
Luna expected to find a displaced message or package from her dear friend Starswirl, who had a habit of overestimating teleport distances.
She did not expect to find a mythical creature.
“General, sendeth a message, bid mine own sister she is needed here. anon. ” Luna then noticed the creatures tears.
“Wherefore art thee crying?” She moved a little closer to the creature, studying it’s strange garb.
The masked human looked up at her, “I have no idea.”
Celestia teleported from Canterlot moments after receiving her sister’s message. She was not sure she believe that her sister had found a ‘human’. They were just an old mare’s tale.
A soldier bowed to her after her teleport, “Thy majesty, thy sister asks thee to joineth h'r in the medical tent.”
Celestia nodded and followed the soldier through the camp, nodding at bowing soldiers.
Celestia ducked to enter the tent. She spotted her sister sitting near a curtained off section in the back of the tent.
“Sister, we has't arriv'd. Where is this creature thee speaketh of?”
Luna glanced over her to her sister before motioning to the curtain, “He sleeps.”
Celestia next to her sister, “He?”
A nod, “We spoke to him briefly.”
Celestia turned her head from her sister to the curtain, “Art thou sure he is what thou claim him to be?”
Luna joined her sister in staring at the curtain, “Yes, we have has’t no doubt. Hopefully he shall wake soon, and we can speaketh to him more in depth.”
The sisters sat and waited.
It was hours before the human woke. He woke with a strangled cry, and the sisters rushed past the curtain.
Celestia was shocked at the creature, it seemed to be a human. But the ‘human’ was wearing robes and a mask, so she could not fully tell.
Luna slowly approached the human, “Art thou alright?”
He shied away from Luna, “Who…? What are you? Where am I?”
Celestia took the opportunity to step forward, “We art the Royal Pony Sisters of the kingdom of Equestria. Who art thee?”
He glanced back and forth at Luna and Celestia, “I… I don’t know? I can’t remember, wait. Why are you two talking like that?”
Ignoring the question of speech, Luna spook, “Wouldst thee taketh off thy mask?”
He seemed even more confused, “Mask?”
His gloved hands reached toward his face, and with a moment's hesitation he removed the mask.
Celestia had to agree with Luna, she no longer had doubts about him being a human. He matched the legends perfectly.
The man (if Celestia was remembering the correct terminology) had long black hair. His… skin was like the metal bronze, his eyes a bright green. An amazing contrast.
After staring at the sisters for moment the man looked down at the mask. He turned it to face him, and stared at the front.
Silence reigned.
“Revan.”
The sisters responded in confused shock, “What?”
He looked up at them, and Celestia saw a small fire burning in his eyes.
“Revan, my name is Revan.”
The memory faded from Celestia’s mind. That had been a long, long time ago. Before Luna had begun her descent into Nightmare Moon.
Celestia found herself laughing, a small quiet one.
The memory had brought forward many of the great ones that the trio had shared.
Celestia’s laughter stopped, and she wondered for the first time in many years,
Was I wrong? Wrong to hid him away? Not to speak with him about the prophecy?
Celestia sighed once again and walked quickly back into her room.
