While every pony else was doing normal pony things and enjoying the day, a pink pony was cleaning up the mess of blood in the basement of Sugar Cube Corner. Pinkamena was thinking about who should she kill next. She dug her hoof into a jar of numbers and picked one out.
"Number 43, Rainbow Dash. I guess I'll be paying Rainbow and Solar a visit. I hope they had a good honey moon". Pinkamena thought to herself as she grabbed her cloak and went towards their house.
Solar and Rainbow were returning back to Ponyville after a month on there honeymoon. They got to the home and relaxed to watch a little TV. They cuddled up on the couch and watched a movie. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.
"Can you get that, dear?" Rainbow asked
Solar went to answer the door. As he opened it, he didn't even see who it was until WACK. He was hit on the head with a baseball bat and passed out. A cloaked pony entered the house. Rainbow ran to see what the noise was, she saw Solar on the ground not moving with the hooded pony next to him. She gasped.
"Solar! Rainbow yelled". The hooded pony looked to her and she saw the bat in her hooves.
"Who the hell are you and what do you want?" she demanded.
The cloaked figure toke one step towards her as she started to back up. The pony backed against the wall.
She lunged at cloaked figure, but Rainbow was hit over the head with the bat and passed out. The hooded pony dragged her over to her husband's body.
“That was easier than I thought it would be." Pinkamena said, she looked back at Solar. She went to a dresser and found a small piece of paper and pen and wrote something on it. She then folded it up and placed it by Solar's unconscious body. Then she grabbed Rainbow Dash and dragged her back to Sugar Cube Corner.
20 minutes later Solar came to and looked around, finding the house empty he start to panic.
"RAINBOW, RAINBOW WERE ARE YOU"?
He soon found the note on the ground, he picked it up and opened it to rea.
" Dear Raven,
Rainbow is my next victim that I picked to kill, but I'll be nice and give you and the others three days to find her. You beter hurry. Times a ticking, Times a ticking Solar".
“Oh no! Rainbow!" Solar cried and tears falling from his face.
He ran out of the house and ran towards Twilight's library.
Minutes later he got to the front door of library and knocked.
Twilight opened the door and gasp as she saw the bump on Solar's head.
"Rainbow was... she was!" Solar said breathing heavily from running as fast as he could.
"What happened?" Twilight asked as she helped Solar in the library. As they entered, Solar saw a pegasus mare with a black coat with blue primary feathers and a blue stripe in her mane. Her aquamarine eyes were looking towards the door.
"Are you okay, Solar?" asked the mare, whose name was Sirocco.
Twilight layed him down on the couch.
"Sirocco, get some ice for his head.” Twilight said.
Sirocco walked to the freezer and grabbed a bag of ice and brought it to Solar.
"Is that better?"' Twilight asked.
"Yeah." Solar replied.
"Now tell us what happened to Rainbow.” Sirocco said.
"Rainbow was kidnapped." Solar said as Twilight and Sirocco both gasped.
"We were on the couch watching a movie and there was a knock at the door. I went to answer, I didn't even see who it was before I was hit over the head and passed out. When I woke up I found this letter."
He pulled out the letter and gave to Twilight.
After Twilight and Sirocco read the letter tears fell from there faces and they both hugged Solar.
"We are gonna find her, I promise." Twilight said.
After a few minutes, they broke the hug and Twilight told Spike to write a letter to Celestia and they to get Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie and Rarity.
Ten minutes later after Twilight told the others about what happen to Rainbow. Fluttershy was helping Solar and they noticed that some pony else was missing.
"Has any pony seen Pinkie"? Twilight asked.
Fluttershy nodded at the question.
“I saw her heading back towards Sugar Cube Corner about an hour ago. Maybe she's still there.” Fluttershy said, trying to hide behind her mane.
“Thanks, Fluttershy. It's worth a shot to check. If she's not there, perhaps the Cakes know where she is.” Twilight responded. She broke into a gallop heading towards Sugar Cube Corner, with the rest of her friends close behind.
Pinkie went downstairs a while ago. Said she needed to get some ingredients for cupcakes, but she hasn't come back up yet, and it's getting late.”
Mrs. Cake said, moving over to a spot on the floor. Two handles where sticking out of two floorboards. As the Earth pony pulled on them, the doors opened, revealing a set of stairs. Looking down the stairs, one would see a dark corridor leading further into the basement.
“You can look down there. We're about to close up, but take as much time as you need. If Pinkie comes back and you don't find anything, I'm sure she'll be happy to have you all over to sleep over.”
Twilight nodded to the Earth pony.
“Thanks Mrs. Cake, even if we don't find anything.”
Mrs. Cake nodded in return, then headed of to finish up cleaning and preparation for the next day.
The smell of must filled the nostrils of the ponies (and wolf) standing at the entrance to the basement. The basement looked rather chilling compared to the bright, happy interior of Sugar Cube Corner. Twilight looked at her friends behind her, as if to reassure her. With a deep breath, she and her friends started down the stairs.
As the party continued down the stairs, Solar could feel the temperature decrease as they continued down the stairs, despite his fur. Since the basement lights didn't provide enough light, Twilight and Rarity had since illuminated their horns, providing the light the actual lights didn't. Even with the added faint glow of purple and blue magic, Solar still felt unsure. If Pinkie wasn't down here, she could be anywhere. And worse still, where was Rainbow Dash? They needed to get to the bottom of this.
Sirocco's voice shattered the silence.
“Hey guys, check this out.” she said, pointing to a note on the wall with her left wing.
As the group approached the Pegasus, she read the note out loud.
“You're close.”
She squinted at the note, as if looking for something else. “That's all it says.”
Twilight levitated the note over with her magic. She looked at the front, then turned it over to look at the back. There was nothing but those two words written on that small piece of paper.
“Maybe it means we're closer to Rainbow Dash?” Solar said, thinking that was what it meant.
Twilight nodded slowly. “If that's true, then she must be somewhere close by, and Pinkie might be as well.”
The group turned back around. Before them where three corridors, each leading in a different direction. One lead off to the left, another to the right, and the third one continued before them.
“Alright gang, we're going to split up. We can cover ground that way. Fluttershy and Applejack, you go to the left. Rarity, do you think you could go by yourself?”
The white unicorn nodded.
“Alright, then you can go right. Solar, Sirocco and I will go straight. If you don't find anything, we'll meet up back here in about half an hour. Does that sound good?”
Everyone else nodded.
“Then let's go.” Twilight said, and the groups split up in the darkness.
Twilight, Solar and Sirocco were walking down the dark basement. Twilight glanced over to Solar with a concerned look, she can see how worried he was.
“Are you aright Solar?” Twilight asked.
“Umm..” Solar answered
"I can't stop thinking about her, Twi. I love her so much. What if she already....” Solar started sobbing.
Sirocco stopped and hugged Solar tight. She let him cry in her mane. She looked into his eyes.
”We'll find her, don't worry.” she said, trying to give him hope. She kissed him on the fore head.
“Thank you Sirocco, Twilight. I'm glad I have friends like you.” Solar replied, starting to clam down.
Twilight and Sirocco smiled and they continued walking down the path.
Fluttershy and Applejack were walking down there path as AJ broke the silence.
“Fluttershy whats on your mind, sugarcube?”
I'm worried about Solar. Did you see how sad he was? Solar is one of the toughest wolves I've ever met. It takes a lot to break him, but..” tears started to fall from Fluttershy's eyes.
“I know. I'm worried about him too, Shy He is one of the bravest wolves I've ever met. It hurts me to see him like this." Applejack responded, though her voice was quivering.
“What if umm. we don't find her in time?” Fluttershy said softy.
“Don't say that, we are gonna find Rainbow and Pinkie.”
Rainbow woke up and couldn't move, her head hurt. The room was dark. “Solar, were are you?” Rainbow asked. There was no answer.
“Solar's not here, Dashie.” a familiar voice came from the darkness.
“Pinkie, is that you? What's going on? Is this a prank or something?” Rainbow said, her voice filled with fear.
“Sadly, this is no prank, Dashie.” Pinkie said, a smile spreading across her face.
“What did you do to Solar? Where is he?” Rainbow yelled, tears falling from her eyes.
”Solar, are you alive?” Are you ? I need you... I love you.” Rainbow cried.
“Now, now, Dashie. You wait here. I've got some...ingredients to collect.” Pinkie said, galloping off into the darkness.
Rarity was walking down her path and thinking to herself. Poor Solar, I can't imagine what he's thinking. He just got married, and now his wife gets kidnapped.
It was unfortunate enough that Rainbow had gotten kidnapped, but Rarity herself wasn't doing any better. While her horn kept the narrow hallway illuminated, it was rather dusty, moldy, and just frankly looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in a long time.
But that wasn't what kept Rarity on edge. While she was waling down the dank hallway, her mind was starting to play tricks on her. That least, that's what she would have preferred to have happen, anyway.
It all started when Rarity had thought she passed what looked like bloodstains on the wall. Shrugging it off, she continued forward. A while later, however, it just got more disturbing than simple bloodstains.
The first message that Rarity saw read.
“You can't save her,”
Written on the dry wall in what Rarity was sure was blood. She stopped a moment to investigate it. Lifting a nearby piece of broken wall with her magic, the unicorn levitated it over to the wall. She placed the wall piece under the words and collected some drops of the liquid on it.
No sooner than Rarity had lifted it closer to her face, she threw the piece with such force it shattered when it hit the wall. It was indeed blood. Rarity felt her forehead with her hoof. She felt cold, clammy, and downright unpleasant. She needed to get out of here and warn the others... Turning around, she returned the way she came.
Moments late, Rarity found Solar, Sirocco and Twilight.
“Rarity, what's wrong? asked Twilight. Rarity hugging Solar and crying in his fur.
Solar used his paw to lift her face to look in her eyes and she looked in his.
“Rarity, did you find Rainbow?” Solar asked as more tears started to fall.
"Oh darling, I'm so sorry, I found a dry blood stain over this wall and there was something written with it".
Solar gasped.
"What did say Rarity?" asked Sirocco
“You can't save her.” Rarity said.
She hugged Solar tighter and cried in his fur again.
“Lead us to were you found it.” Solar said.
They followed Rarity to were she saw to blood.
They soon found the spot of blood and Solar smelled it to see if it was Rainbow's. The three mares looked at him, hoping it wasn't.
Solar sighed in relief.
“It's not Rainbow's.” Solar replied.
The three mares sighed.
"How do you know"? Twilight asked.
"I rather not say".
“Who's is it then?" Rarity asked.
“I'm not sure.” Solar replied
”The blood is too dry to tell.”
“We should meet up with the others and get some rest.” Twilight said
They went to go find Applejack and Fluttershy. After a while of searching, they found AJ and Shy. They got a small fire going. Twilight was sitting by Applejack and Fluttershy, Rarity and Sirocco were cuddled up against Solar's warm fur.
“Twilight, You know these caves go on for miles under Ponyville. Thank Celestia it's not that dangerous, though.”
“How do you know this, darling?” Rarity asked, turning her head to look at him more directly.
“I've read stories when I was little. It's said that these caves are haunted." Solar replied.
Fluttershy let out a yelp, Applejack and Twilight rolled their eyes.
“Haunt-haunted?” Fluttershy said softy.
"Yep. I'll tell you the story that I heard about these caves.” Solar replied.
Rarity and Sirocco cuddled up with Solar to listen to his story.
“Well along time ago, these caves use to be mines. Hundreds of ponies came from all over Equestria to mine to make a living off of the ore. But one day, one of these ponies went crazy and killed every single pony in the mine."
“How many did he kill?” asked Applejack, shaking in fear and hugging Fluttershy, who looked like she was about to pass out.
“At least 13 Miners.”
They all gasped.
“What happened to the killer?” asked Rarity.
“Well, The miners that managed to escape from him saw him jump to his death. It is said that in the middle of the night you can hear clinging of the ghost miner's pick axes still working. And you might see the ghost of the crazy miner”.
Everyone was shaking, in fear. Fluttershy was shaking the most.
“It's just a story, girls.”Twilight said.
“I think we should get some sleep. We have two more days to save Rainbow and Pinkie. Let's make them count.”
Rarity and was cuddled up with Solar in his warm fur. The others had seemed to have fallen asleep despite the cold. Rarity looked up.
“Solar darling?”
“Yes Rarity?”
“You're so warm, dear.”
She looked in his eyes and he blushed.
"Thank you." Solar replied with a tear.
"Don't worry daring, we are gonna find her. Also, I'm wondering how did you get that scar on your eye, if you don't mind me asking.”
Solar looked away and didn't respond.
“Oh, I'm sorry dear, I didn't...”
She was cut off by Solar's paw.
“it's alright, Rarity".
“Why don't you like it darling? she blushed at her next words. “I think it makes you look sexy.”
They both blushed and she smiled and looked in his eyes.
“Rarity, you know I think you're beautiful". Oh crap, what am I doing?
He was cut off by a white hoof.
“It's alright darling.”Rarity whisper in his ear and kissed him on the forehead. “Good night dear.”
"Good night Rarity, and thank you."
Rarity yawned and laid her head on Solar's warm fur and fell asleep.
He smiled and kissed her on the forehead and covered her up with the blanket she brought and he fell asleep. Meanwhile, somewhere in the caves, a pink earth pony was watching a certain blue Pegasus sleep. Rainbow Dash had stopped struggling hours ago and had since fallen asleep. Pinkamena smiled.
“Soon, my Dashie, you'll be mine forever. And even if your friends find you? I have plans for them too.”
Solar and company were awakened rather forcefully the next morning by Twilight Sparkle.
“Come on, we need to get moving. The sooner we set out, the sooner we find something. Rarity, you can go with Applejack and Fluttershy. That other corridor didn't lead anywhere.” Twilight said,
They started packing up what little supplies they had brought with them. Once she had collected them, They continue there search.
“Solar, Sirocco and I will continue on the path we where on yesterday. Is that alright with everyone?”
The rest of the group nodded in agreement.
“Alright, let's go. If either of us finds anything, contact the other group with magic.” Twilight said, and like the previous day, the groups spread out to search inside the darkness.
“Cozy little place, isn't it girls?” Rarity asked once Twilight and her group had left.
Applejack shrugged. “Whatever you say, Rarity,” she responded in a rather sarcastic tone.
Rarity was about to say something back when Fluttershy spoke up. “Well, if you're a bat or an insect, it must be nice, right?”
“I guess so.” Rarity responded, noticing they were passing a wall covered in mold.
“All I'm saying is that Ah hope we find Rainbow and Pinkie soon. If they're not here, they could be anywhere.” Applejack said, reminding the other two of their quest.
The glow of purple magic filled the confined space as Twilight, Solar and Sirocco traveled further into the dark cave. They had been walking for nearly an hour, but hadn't managed to find anything of importance. The most interesting thing they had found so far was a snake of some sort, but it had long since slithered away into the darkness since Sirocco had tried to pick it up with her hoof.
“I don't get it. The first note said that we where close, but we haven't found anything yet, besides dull rocks and a snake.” Sirocco said, clearly bored. She had begun to kick a rock in front of her to satisfy her boredom.
“I'm sure we are in fact close.” Twilight responded. “I just know it.”
Sirocco sighed. “Sure we are. Hey Solar, would it be cool if a ghost appears and helps us.?”
No one resoped.
“ I think it will be kind cool if that happen. It be more interesting than just grey rocks everywhere.” Sirocco said, kicking the rock a bit to far. It bounced off of another rock, came flying back, and hit the black pegasus in the hoof. “Ouch, geez rock.”
Twilight turned around. “Shhh! Do you guys hear that?”
Solar and Sirocco turned looked around, trying to pinpoint the sound. Solar's ears twitched and moved, but soon he was able to locate the sound. A faint, barely audible..giggling. He noticed Sirocco looking over at him. She had heard it too.
“Maybe it's the ghost of the crazy killer.” Sirocco said,
The group continued ever so cautiously forward.
“Are you sure we haven't seen this wall before? Ah think we've passed this three times now!” Applejack said, pointing to the wall.
Rarity looked closer. The earth pony did have a point. The patterns of mold looked identical then the first wall.
Rarity gasped. “Oh, no. We're going in circles.”
All of a sudden, they heard a creepy laugh echoing though the caves. Fluttershy yelped and hind in her mane.
“You don't think that is the ghost of the killer.” Fluttershy said softy.
“I have a feeling that it meet be.”Applejack replied. She gulped and continue on.
Meanwhile, Twilight and Sirocco were following Solar as he got a scent of Rainbow.
“Uh, I think I know were that giggle came from” Solar said.
All of a sudden, Solar stepped on a bear trap and let out a blood curling scream of pain.
“Oh my gosh, Solar!” Twilight gasped, rushing over to the injured wolf.
Blood was pouring out of Solar front left leg, and tears felling from his eyes.
Twilight used her magic to open the trap and Sirocco picked him up and lifted him out.
Sirocco laid Solar on the ground, he was in heavy pain. Blood poured out of the wound.
“Damn it, this hurts like hell!” Solar said, breathing heavily,
while Twilight was using her magic to stop the bleeding.
“Now this may hurt, Solar.” Twilight said.
She took a deep breath and Sirocco held Solar as Twilight closed the wound and Solar screamed in pain.
“What was that? That sounded like Solar.” Rainbow thought to herself. Rainbow started to struggling again as she heard the screams of her husband.
“Ah, it would seem my little 'surprise' worked like a charm.” Pinkamena said, emerging from the shadows.
“Pinkie! What have you done?!” Rainbow screamed, trying to break free of her bonds.
“”My name is Pinkamena, Dashie.” Pinkamena corrected. “I can't tell you what that was. It would ruin the surprise, silly.”
“You...you..” Rainbow sputtered.
“Monster? Yes, I get that a lot.” Pinkamena finished. “They're close now. Only a matter of time...”
“Are you able to continue on, Solar?” Twilight asked after she had finished healing the wolf's leg as best she could. Fluttershy wrapped it up.
"I'm not sure. It still to much to put weigh on.”
Twilight nodded in return. “Okay. Sirocco, you'll carry Solar on your back. We'd better watch our step from now on. Who knows how many of those traps are there in here were can't see them.”
The group of three continued their trek into the darkness, It wasn't long before Twilight spotted a note on the wall, written in blood similar to what Rarity had found the previous day.
“Not long now.”
Twilight stopped. Not long for what? With a sinking feeling, she realized it could mean Rainbow Dash, and since they hadn't found Pinkie either, Twilight turned back to the Pegasus and the wolf behind her. “We better hurry, but be careful.”
The other two nodded. As fast as they could go, they sped off down the tunnel.
Rainbow was now crying about what Pinkamena had done to Solar.
“You know why I'm doing this, Dashie.” said Pinkamena.
“No, I don't know, Pinkie. Why are you doing this to me.” Rainbow asked.
“To kill Solar. You see, he has something I want.”
“What is that?” Rainbow asked angrily.
“You Dashie. I want you.”
Rainbow eyes winded
“I'm not a fillyfooler. I love Solar and that's final.” Rainbow said
Pinkamena punched Rainbow in the gut.
“That's not what I meant. I want need you to bring the beast out of Solar”
Wh-what beast?" Rainbow asked
You'll see Dashie." Pinkamena said with a grin.
“Heh heh heh...” Rainbow chuckled weakly.
“What's so funny?” Pinkamena asked.
“This!”
Rainbow kicked Pinkamena in the face, broke her restraints and flew into Pinkie as hard as she could sending her flying into the wall knocking the wind knocked out of her. Rainbow took this chance to escape and find her husband.
Pinkamena soon recovered, however, and then proceeded to jump and tackled Rainbow and tied her up again. Her screams echoed throughout the cave. Solar, Twilight ,and Sirocco heard them.
Solar stopped and twitched his ears. “That...that sounded like Rainbow Dash!” he said,
“Come on, we have to hurry!” As soon as he said that, he started running as fast as he could go.
“Solar, wait!” Twilight called after him.
The wolf didn't make it to far as a sharp pain shot though his body. tripping him off his feet. Twilight and Sirocco walked up to him. Sirocco helped him up.
“We don't know else is out there. We need to proceed with caution. I know Rainbow Dash is important to you, but we still need to be careful.”
“Alright, Twilight.” Solar said,
He climb on Sirocco's back.
A short while later, they reached what appeared to be a door. Taking a deep breath, Twilight raised is hoof and opened the door. What they saw however, made them freeze in their tracks.
Rainbow Dash lay strapped to a table, her head hanging low. A certain pink earth pony stood in front of them, but instead of her normally frizzy mane, it lay flat. There was a grin across her face.
“You finally made it. Now the party can finally began!” Pinkamena giggled.
While her friend was speaking, Twilight was attempting to contact Rarity, but was making no progress. Pinkamena, however, noticed what Twilight was trying to do. “Sorry, Twilight, but you can't do that here.” That was the last thing the group heard before all seeing black.
When Solar came too, the first thing he noticed was the texture of the floor. It felt... marshy. Jerking up, he came to realized that both himself and the two ponies were in a cage suspended off the floor. Looking over, he noticed that Sirocco and Twilight were already awake. He also noticed that Twilight and Rarity had a magic-restraining ring around her horn and Fluttershy and Sirocco's wings were tied to their sides with rope. He saw Applejack in the cage by her self.
“Oh goody, you're awake! Now the fun can begin"! Pinkamena said, a grin spreading across her face.
Pinkamena walked up to a lever and pulled it and Solar's cage lowered. She open it and tackled Solar. She stomped on his wounded paw he screamed in pain.
Solar was chained by his front and back paws as blood was dripping from his wound. Pinkamena walked up to Solar.
“Solar, you know you're the one I wanted.” Pinkamena grinned widely as she punched Solar in the gut and he coughed to try to get his breath. He fell to the ground.
“Get up pup, you're so weak!” Pinkamena growled. She stomped on his gut and kicked him as he was slammed against the cave wall screaming in pain.
“Stop this, Pinkie! Please! This isn't you!” Rainbow yelled. She struggled to get free but she couldn't move.
Twilight and the others can only watch helplessly their friend get beaten.
A few minutes later, Solar was coughing up blood. He tried to get up, but couldn't cause of the pain.
“Get up, I dare you!” Pinkamena growled.
She Stomped on his back as they all heard a crack.
AGHHHHH. Solar yelled as he looked up at Pinamena spit blood on her face.
“That's it, now your dead!” she yelled.
Pinkamena took a knife from her mane. She walked up to Solar, picked him up and stabed him in the chest. He layed his head over her shoulder and coughed more blood. Rainbow screamed.
Pinkamena pulled the knife out and Solar fell to the floor.
Just then Pinkamena was hit with something an flew across the room and hit the wall. Twilight and the others looked to Rainbow and noticed her necklace of the Element of Harmony was glowing red.
“What the hell was that?” Pinkamena said as she stood up but was threw bck down.
The whole room was silent as they were shocked to see Rainbow form had changed.
Pinkamena was gonna say something, but Rainbow flew at here.
You are gonna pay for what you have done". Rainbow yelled.
Rainbow flew at Pinkamena and went right threw her spiting Pinkie ands Pinkamena apart. Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack and Sircco went to Solar.
“Solar, no! You can't leave us please Rainbow needs you!" Twilight cried.
The others walked over and fell to the ground, weeping for their fallen friend.
Rainbow's Element deemed and She went over to her husband and friends.
Stay back you guys".
Rainbow's Element of Harmony start to glow again. Rainbow's eyes turn to a glowing white. A bright light surrounded Solar and Rainbow.
Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack and Sircco covered there eyes from the light. In a bright flash of light, Rainbow eyes were back to normal. The others prayed that Solar will come back.
A tear fell from Rainbow's eye.
I failed. It didn't work". She held Solar in her hooves.
The room went silent for a few moments, Suddenly Solar coughed and Started to breath. Rainbow held him.
No you didn't fail".
Solar looked up into his wives eyes and smiled.
“Solar I'll leave you. I love you.” Rainbow cried into his fur.
Solar moved his right paw up to hold her.
“I'll never leave you either, Rainbow. I love you to.” Solar said as he kissed her on the lips.
The others came up and hugged Solar tightly.
Solar felt something warm pressed up against him, and then he promptly blacked out.
Twilight looked to Pinkie. She regained conciseness and joined her friends. Pinkamena just stirred up at the ceiling. Twilight trotted to her. Pinkamena looked up at her.
"You are in big trouble".
Twilight used her magic to conjured up chains and wrapped them around Pinkamena. Twilight teleported them to Cantlot.
Canterlot
The 9 ponies arrived at Canterlot were princess Celestia and Luna were waiting with a couple of the Canterlot guards.
"Thank you my faithful Student. We will make sure to keep Pinkamena chained up until her trail. Guards take her to her cell".
"Yes your mystic".
With a bright flash of light, Twilight then teleported to the hospital.
Then arrived at the hospital and Nurse Red Heart was waiting for them.
"Mrs.. Dash we'll be taking Solar to treat him". Red Heart said
Rainbow nodded and let the doctors take Solar. She collapsed to the floor.
"Rainbow are you ok". She passed out.
When Rainbow awoke she saw her friend surrounding her. She looked at them.
"I have something to tell you guy". Rainbow said.
"Ok well what is it"? Rarity asked.
"I'm pregnant".
Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie all stood there eyes widen for a few moments.
"Oh my gasp, we should have a party". Pinkie yelled.
Meanwhile
The guards were walking thought the halls of the prison. They were taking Pinkamena to her cell.
"Come on Move sim". The guard said. Pinkamena noticed that one of her cuffs were lose. She slipped her hoof out and slammed the guard head into the cell bars. She did this until his face was smashed in. Blood flew all over the floor. The second Guard changed her. She jumped and he missed. He fell two stories to his death.
"Sorry boys, but I have to finish what I started".
The first thing Solar could hear when he came too was a steady beeping. The next thing he felt where the sheets surrounding his body. The warm, comfortable sheets....
Solar shot his eyes open, but instantly regretted that decision. Blinding white light met his irises, causing him to shut them again. Preparing himself this time, he slowly opened one eye, then the other. Now he could tell where he was.
He was in a hospital. White bandages covered his wounds, and there were green sheets wrapped around his body. His right leg was hooked up to an IV, and the heart monitor continued its steady beeping.
“Ah, Solar, you're awake.” Nurse Redheart said, writing something down on a clipboard.
“Nurse Redheart?” Solar asked, confused as to how he got in the hospital. “How did I get here?”
Nurse Redheart looked over at Solar. “ Mrs. Rainbow Dash and her friends brought you here a few days ago. Your injuries where so severe that both you and Mrs. Rainbow Dash had to stay here.”
“May I see them? My friends?” Solar asked.
The earth pony nodded. “They're in the waiting room right now. I'll call them in.”
A few minutes later a group of six ponies walked into the room. Solar noticed that Rainbow Dash wasn't among them, so she must still be elsewhere in the hospital, but it was still a relief to see his friends.
“Hey Solar!” Twilight greeted him. “How are you feeling?”
“I'm fine, thank you.” Solar replied. “How are you all doing?”
“We're fine, thanks!” Sirocco said. “But... we've got good news and bad news for you. Which do you wanna hear first." Sirocco asked.
"Bad and I guess good.”
Solar ears perked up. “What is it?”
“Well, Pinkie, or rather, Pinkamena, has escaped, so it's a possibility that she might come after you or Rainbow Dash again, Or one of us.” Twilight shuddered. “But here's the good news. We heard this when we were visiting Rainbow.” Twilight paused. “Solar, Rainbow's pregnant.”
Solar's breathing started to increase, and his heart was beating faster. “Solar calm down! He's going into shock, Red Heart!” Twilight said as he blacked out again.
Solar awoke and looked around the room and saw a rainbow maned Pegasus next to his bed.
“Rainbow.” Solar said in a weak voice.
“Ha, I'm not Rainbow. I'm her farther. You gave us all quiet the shock earlier.”
“Where is Rainbow? I want to see her.” Solar started to panic again. The Pegasus put a hoof on him. He looked to the Pegasus.
“Calm down, you'll see her soon. She's was really worried when she heard you passed out.”
“Who are you?” Solar asked
“I told you. I'm your farther-in-law, Rainy Skies.”
Just then, Nurse Red Heart walked in.
“Ah, Solar, your awake! I'll let the girls know your awake, but there something I forgot the tell you earlier. Your paw... the bone was crushed by the bear trap.”
Solar was beginning to look nervous. “And?”
Nurse Red Heart sighed. “And...well..you won't make a full recovery because it suffered too much damage. I'm sorry, but you'll always have a slight limp from now on.”
Solar didn't quite hear that last part. “I'll Never make a full recovery? But... I'll never be able to run like I used to...or..or...” That's when Solar broke down crying.
Nurse Red Heart moved over to comfort Solar. “I'm sorry, but there's nothing more we can do to fix your leg. Even the most advanced medics wouldn't be able too. Again, I'm sorry.”
“T-think you, Nurse Red Heart.” Solar responded, his voice quiet. “I understand. You did your best.”
The earth pony nurse nodded. “That's all for now. Try to get some sleep. I'll be back to check on you in the morning, okay?”
“Okay.” Solar responded. He watched as the nurse and the Pegasus left the room. Not long after that, Solar felt his eyelids begin to feel heavy. He didn't fight the urges of sleep as he slipped into their grasp.
“No! Stop! Take me instead!” Solar yelled to the pink earth pony in the middle of the room.
“Oh Solar, you know I can't do that. I'm just following the rules, and I can't break them just for you”
Solar watched in horror as the pony took a sharp butcher knife from the cart next to her. Pinkamena turned around, revealing a clearly pregnant blue Pegasus pony strapped to a table. She was screaming, but he couldn't hear her. Pinkamena forcefully brought the knife down on Rainbow Dash's stomach. It broke through the skin hard, causing blood to fly everywhere. Solar felt some land on his fur. He wanted to go help her. He wanted Pinkamena to stop! However, when he tried to move his feet, he found that they were frozen to the floor. He couldn't help Rainbow. He could only watch in horror as Pinkamena destroyed his wife and his new unborn child before his eyes.
“Now, time for you!” Pinkamena lunged at him, and Solar braced for the knife to come down on him.
Solar shot up in his bed, panting. "Was it only a dream"? He thought. Solar was breathing heavily and sweating. “I need to see Rainbow. I want to see her now!” he growled. Red Heart ran into the room.
“Solar, calm down. I'll get her, just calm down please.”
“No, I want to see her now!” Solar growled louder.
That was when Red Heart noticed the red symbols on his body were glowing red and his eyes were pure white. She put her hooves around him and the symbols started to dim. The wolf just sat there. Tears started to pour from his eyes.
“I'll go get her, okay? Just calm down.” Red Heart said, before leaving to get Rainbow.
As Red Heart exited the room, she thought to her self. “What a strange energy...”
As Rainbow walked in, she noticed Solar's symbols dimly glowing red as he was growling and whispering something that she couldn't hear.
“Babe, are you okay?” Solar noticed Rainbow walk in, and the glowing stopped as he looked at her.
“Rainbow, I -” he was cut off by Rainbow lips meeting his in a kiss.
She broke the kiss and held Solar.
“How long have you been pregnant?” Solar asked.
“About 7 months. I was scared to tell you, but after want happened to you, I had to tell you. I'm sorry.” Rainbow said with tears falling from her eyes.
Solar carefully reach his paw to he face and lifted her head to looked him in the eyes.
“It's alright, Rainbow. I love you, and I and always will.” They were silent for a moment. “So do you know if it's gonna be a mare or stallion?”
“Mare.” Rainbow replied.
Redheart saw Twilight and the others in the waiting room. She walked up to Twilight.
“Twilight, can I talk to you in private for a minute?”
Twilight looked confused. “Of course, but what about?”
“When Solar woke up this morning, he got angry and the symbols on his body glowed red and his eyes were pure white and he had a red aura surrounded him.”
Twilight thought for a minute.
“Okay, tell me if it happens again. Thanks, Red Heart.”
A knock came at the door to Solar's room as Rainy Skies walked in. “Hey, you two. How are you both?” he asked in a rather optimistic tone of voice.
“Hey dad. We're okay. I'm just with cuddling with my hubby.” Rainbow replied in a quiet yet strong voice.
“I'm sorry about earlier, Rainy.” Solar said.
“It's okay Solar. I know you have been stressed out lately.”
“I just feel bad for meeting my father-in-law like that.” Solar said, looking down to avoid eye contact with the pegasus. Rainy put a hoof on his shoulder.
“That's okay, bud. I'm not mad. You love my daughter, and that's enough for me. I'm glad I have you as my son-in aw.”
Solar smiled. “Thank you, Rainy.”
“Okay. I'll leave you two alone. I'll see you later!”
Rainbow held her husband tight as they fell asleep.
Solar opened his eyes. He was back in the cave where they had first discovered Pinkamena. He looked up. Rainbow Dash was strapped to the table again. A look of intense fear was on her face.
“It's about time you showed up, Solar.” A voice said.
“Pinkamena! What do you want from us? Why are you doing this?” Solar replied, trying to reason with the earth pony.
“I think you know, silly!” Pinkamena said, walking over to the cart. She looked over it for a bit, then decided on a rather large amputation saw. Solar watched as she walked over to Rainbow Dash.
Pinkamena lined up the saw with Rainbow's left wing. When she was confident in her placement, she placed the saw at the base of the wing and began to move it back and forth.
Rainbow started visibly screaming, but Solar was deaf to her cries. He wanted to turn his head away, to make it stop. He tried, but he was frozen to where he was standing. He felt so angry at Pinkamena. Why couldn’t she just leave him and Rainbow Dash alone!?
Pinkamena had now moved on to Rainbow's right wing, doing the same procedure she did with the left. Solar begin to feel the symbols start to glow on this body. He began to growl softly, but it was still audible.
Pinkamena turned around. She could see that Solar's body was beginning to glow. It looked like harming Rainbow Dash was the perfect strategy. “Yes...that's what I want.”
Solar gathered his strength. With a powerful burst of energy, he lunged towards the pink mare. He was just about to bite her neck when...
Solar awoke with a start. "Another dream"? Solar looked around the room and saw a hole in the ceiling and the room was a mess. Twilight and the others ran in the see the damage the room had taken.
Rainbow moved over to hug him, but she was stopped by a red shield. “Stay away from me, all of you! Get out now!” Solar yelled in a dark voice.
“What the hell is going on with him?” Applejack asked. Fluttershy was shaking in fear. Solar's symbols started to glow red and his eyes were pure white.
“I'm gonna to kill her!” he growled as the whole room was filled with strong energy. Twilight and the others were blown off there feet. The energy was so strong.
Pure raw energy surrounded Solar.
“Ahhhhhhh!” Solar yelled.
He then noticed Rainbow holding him. He looked in her eyes, he saw that she was crying.
“Rain... rainbow...” Solar said as the energy war down and the glowing symbols dimmed he passed out.
“Every pony alright?” Twilight asked, as they all nodded.
“What was that?" Rarity asked.
“I don't know, Rainbow I think it would be safer if you only visit him when he's not sleeping".
It's dark. I can feel another being laying against me. I know it's Rainbow Dash. I'm trying to protect her and our foal from that mare. That Celestia forsaken mare. When will she realize that all we want to be left alone?
A tiny breeze brushes over my fur. Rainbow Dash is gone from my side. I know what's happening. That monster has taken her from me again, and I can't get her back, no matter how hard I try. It always results in failure.
I was so close to saving my wife and child. That surge of power gave me the strength to stand up to her. But I failed.
The ground underneath my paws is cold and hard. I know where I am. I'm in that cave where we first met. I'll bet Rainbow is strapped to the table now. If she's screaming, I can't hear her. I can't hear anything except my strained breath.
I open my eyes. Just as I thought, Rainbow is on the table again, and Pinkamena is standing close to her. She's about to inject something into Rainbow's foreleg.
The moment the needle punctures Rainbow's skin, she starts to scream, but I can't hear her, just like before. I never can, and I never will. It must be a drug of some sort to cause internal pain. Pinkamena turns around to look at me. She smiles. She knows what she's doing, and I do too.
I can feel the symbols on my body radiant heat and start to glow. This is what she wants, but I don't want to give it to her. Rainbow's suffering because of me. If I could just find a way to save Rainbow without showing my true power...
“No! Stop it! Leave her alone!”
That's not my voice. I look to my right. Sirocco is there, in a fighting stance. She doesn't understand. You can't stop her.
Sirocco charges, but Pinkamena's ready. She throws a knife at Sirocco, and it hits her in the center of her stomach. Sirocco falls and starts to fade away, until nothing is left but the knife.
I can feel the power building. I'm trying to stop it from building, I fall to the ground screaming in pain. I can't let that monster free. If I do...who knows what might happen.
It's no use. The power has consumed me. This is exactly what Pinkamena wants. She wants the monster that resides inside me.
My vision starts to go blurry as my eyes fade to white. I can make out an aura surrounding my paws. Pinkamena's so close to her goal. I look up and see that Rainbow has stopped struggling. She's gone. Ripped away from me like all those other times.
I can't hold it back now. I force my feet to move forward, slowly gaining speed. If this is what Pinkamena wants, then I can let her have it. This is what she deserves after what she did to Rainbow! I jump and open my jaws. I'm getting closer to my target. Just a few more inches....
I awake with a start. I look around and see that it is still nighttime. Rainbow Dash is gone, but the nurses probably took her back to her room. That's alright, as long as she's safe from that monster of a mare, Pinkamena.
I lay my head back down on my pillow and look over at the clock. It reads 2 a.m. Then I remembers it's my release day today. The first thing I'm doing is going to see Twilight about these nightmares. Visit Rainbow Dash again, of course. I fall back asleep and don’t wake up until I hears hoof beats in the hallway.
Rainbow walks in the room. “Wakey wakey sleeping head!” says Rainbow with a cute look.
“How come you left?” I asked.
“Twilight said that I shouldn't be around you when your asleep, with me being pregnant and all it's safer.” Rainbow says and she walks up med and gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
Redheart walks in. “Well Solar, you can be able to be released today, but like I said, your paw won't be fully recover, so I have a wheel chair for you.”
“Thank you, Nurse Redheart.”
"Twilight wants to see you, so I'll take you there. I would join you, but I have other stuff to do with the others. Our daughter would be born soon." Rainbow said.
Later, at Twilight's, I was wanting to know what was wrong with me.
“Do you remember anything about the nightmares you had when the strange energy appeared?” Twilight asked, ready to take notes.
“I saw Pinkamena tourtureing Rainbow, and I can't save her. All I can do is watch that son of bitch mare tourture my wife and my unborn child.” I growled.
Twilight noticed the energy in the room change as the symbols started to glow again.
“Calm down, Solar!” Twilight said in a fearful voice. “I know you're angry, but please try to remain calm. Spike!” Twilight called.
“Yeah Twilight?” Spike answered, poking his head into the room with the unicorn and the wolf, who had now calmed down.
“Spike, I need you to send a note to Princess Celestia for me, okay?”
The purple dragon nodded. His head disappeared to the next room, but soon reappeared with a sheet of paper and a quill. “What do you what me to write?”
Twilight cleared her throat.
“Dear Princess Celestia, I'm sure you know Solar, as you met him at his wedding? Anyway, he is in need of help. Ever since we returned from rescuing Rainbow Dash, he has had terrible nightmare about Pinkamena hurting Rainbow to get something from deep within him, and every time he gets angry, the symbols on his body start to glow without him control over them. Also, have you heard any news of where Pinkamena might be? Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
Did you get all that, Spike?”
Spike nodded. After sealing the paper, the dragon took a deep breath and sent the letter to the Princess.
The gravity in the room started to swift.
After about a minute or two, Spike belched out what could only be a response from Celestia.
Dear Twilight,
Yes, I remember Solar, though it was a while ago. Though I am sorry to say that the guards have not managed to locate Pinkamena, I have some helpful news. To help control the monster that resides inside Solar, he must make the journey to Tartarus. If he succeeds, he will find an alicorn stallion by the name of Nova Star. He will offer his assistance. I'm afraid I can't give you any advice on how to stop the nightmares, but maybe my sister, Princess Luna, will be able to help with that.

Solar calmed down.
"Solar you must journey to Tartarus and find Nova Star.” Twilight said after reading the response from the Princess.
“Nova Star...no why him?” Solar said, trying to be quiet so Twilight wouldn't hear him. Suddenly his eyes widened.
Solar started to tear up as he remember Nova Star as Twilight noticed. She walked to him as put her hoof around as put a hoof under his chin and lifted his head so she can look him in the eyes.
“Do you know him?” She asked.
“Yes! He's my brother. I defeated him shortly before I moved to Ponyville. He was very powerful. I couldn't kill him so I sent him to Tartarus.”
Twilight's and Spike's jaws dropped to the floor.
"Do you think your up seeing him?” Twilight asked.
“If he's the only one who can help, then I have no choice.” Solar replied in an emotionless voice.
Just then, Princess Luna appeared. “Greetings, Solar. Our sister has told us about your troubles. We are here to help you find Nova Star.”
