Prolouge/Chapter 0: The Great Search Begins!

|Everfree Forest|
(So after everything I had done for them, I got thrown away like a mere dog...and all because of something I NEVER DID!) Mentally raged a 12 year old boy with green hair, green dragon spikes for human ears, green eyes with sharp pupil, and tan skin wearing a purple t-shirt with green parts and purple shorts from which his purple and green dragon tail popped out. This boy was Spike, formerly the #1 assistant to one Princess Twilight Sparkle, and now banished dragon because of a crime he never commited...

At first it was a normal day in ponyville with Spike walking through town while passing the other habitants who replied kindly to the dragonborn when he gave his greetings, but even so the boy could feel some looks of fear or warning from several hard-trusting earthlings that went by because of his dragonic heritage and how dangerous he could be like the time he had let his greed consume him into a giant dragon that caused havoc upon Ponyville before he was stopped by Rarity's kind words and the Fire Ruby he gave her.
Speaking about Rarity, recently she and the other members of the Mane 6 have had some problems in their relationship with Spike because of some unfortunate events involving the fact that lately his own flames had been very hard to control because of his growing age:
First it was that during one of his walks he accidentaly dropped to the ground and shot a flame that hit Pinkie Pie, who was jumping while sending invitations to her newest party but then the flame hit her. Luckily the pink earthling was fine besides some burns on her hair and all her invitations burned, but the normally cheerful girl had become very afraid of Spike to the point of having stopped inviting him to her parties or running away if she saw him.
Then there was the incident with the apple trees when the young dragon, out of frustration at his recent bad luck decided to burn an abandoned tree to watch the flames and calm himself down, but then he accidentaly burned a tree that was very near the other apple trees that the Apple family used to do their business, then the flames were expanded upon those trees before Applejack and other members of her family managed to put it down but then the honesty bearer asked Spike if he had been the one to burn it, to which he just nodded in shame but before he could explain that it was an accident she ran crying as the other apple members screamed at him to get out in rage, causing him to retreat in shame.
The next incident was when the poor dragon craved an hunger for meat, which was acceptable because all dragonborn were omnivorous, which meant that they also had to eat meat to survive and that at his age even gems, candy and plants wouldn't be enough and thus Spike had to learn how hunt and that's why he went to Zecora's. Luckily the shaman knew about his species enough to help him and that's when she taught him how to kill any prey that came near him and eat their meat after burning it, which at first was disgusting but then he adapted. But eventually Fluttershy, whom had happened to walk nearby, saw him kill an animal which made the traumatized valkyrie to ran in fear of the dragon she saw, not seeing the sad boy who looked horrified at her look of fear...
Afterwards, he tried to avoid the girls with whom he had problems by helping Twilight and Rarity, but even there he ended up in problems with the latter because of a new dress that the fashion designer had made for one of her clients, but there was the fact that she had used a perfume to which some species like dragons were allergic, and sadly that included Spike who despite his best efforts couldn't hold it anymore and ended up sneezing burning the priceless dress in front of Rarity, who went into a dramatic rage mode to the point of screaming at the poor dragon with a voice that would have made a certain pink banshee from another ninja universe to be proud to get out of her store, which he did while holding back his tears.
(Seriously, can my life get any worse!?) But sadly for the young man, fate wasn't through with him yet as he heard a strangled sound coming from an alley near him, and that's when he noticed that he was alone but even so he got more curious and so he went to the alley where he saw something shocking:
There were two mysterious but somewhat familiar men standing over another men, whose throat was cut in a claw-like fashion as his body was burned in some places, showing that the other two were assassins and that they had killed their objective already.
Now Spike knew that he had to get away as fast as possible before they spotted him, but then karma decided to be a bitch by letting the dragon make a sound that catched the assassin's attention and quickly they went to him and took a hold of him and began to punch him so that he could lose consciouness faster so that they could kill him but the young dragon before falling unconsious shot a flame to the sky which exploded, alerting some of the habitants to go there as the figures panicked before putting him near the killed body.
-Next Day-
Spike didn't know what to expect the moment he woke up that day. Either that after the 'dream' he had, he would be helping Twilight with some research, or helping the CMC in another crazy idea to earn their cutie marks or even trying to control his newly adquired wings. Yet, the young drake never would have expected this to happen:
He was currently standing in front of the newest princess of Equestria herself, with the others members of the Mane 6 standing by them as they merely gave him looks of displeasure. Except the meek Fluttershy, who had an expression of fear and sadness.
He was in between two royal guards, whom held his claws down with special chains that were magic proof and dragon fire proof.
"Spike, you are here as you have been accused of murdering an innocent pony. How do you plead?" Replied Twilight with a serious gaze in her eyes.
"Innocent!" Cried Spike who felt fear in his chest.
But the lavender archangel shook her head. "Spike. The ponyville police squad and even the other girls have confirmed that tracks matching yours were found at the scene of the crime."
"It could have been any other dragon!" Retorted Spike.
"But even so how many dragons live in Ponyville?" Asked Rainbow Dash seriously.
Spike dropped his head at that. He knew no other dragon could live anywhere near Ponyville.
"I believe there is enough evidence, and witness reports to finalize this judgement." Concluded Twilight.
"Wait, witness reports? But you said the others-" Spike stopped there as it all sunk in...Twilight and the others were against him.
"Enough!" Cried Applejack. "Spike, tell the truth! We know those were your claw marks!"
"But I didn't do anything!" Replied back Spike trying to get Twilight to see he was serious.
"I've heard enough!" Yelled the furious princess. "Spike the dragon, I hereby banish you from Equestria. If you are caught in the borders of this land, you will be either imprisoned, or sentenced to death."
"Take him away." Finished Twilight and the others turned away as Spike was pulled away by chains while screaming for mercy making the girls finally lash out at him.
“How could you? How could do something so terrible you monster?!” The normally quiet one out of his six best friends screamed loudly. It felt like a piece of his heart broke when she said 'monster'.
“You are nothing but a murderer, you big meanie!” The usually happy person yelled angrily at him, who felt another piece break off his heart.
“You bastard! You’re going to pay for hurting someone innocent!” A brash voice yelled out over what happen to her newly appointed daughter. Another piece falls.
“And to even murder them!" A southern voice cried out with the noble figure next to its owner glaring death at the poor dragon. "You ruffian, you shouldn't have ever come to this town!" And now other two pieces were broken.
“You have committed an unforgivable crime Spike.” She said in a cold voice. Then suddenly she placed her hand on his chest and pain shoots out through his body. As quickly as it came it was over.
“I have severed your connection to Celestia. By my power as the Princess of Magic, you, Spike the Dragon are banished from Equestria, never to set foot on its soil ever again.”
"No! Twilight!" Cried Spike who could barely make out their figures form the tears as he felt his heart crush. He had lost everything. Then he didn't know what happened but the next thing he knew was that he had found himself in the Everfree Forest, where apparently the guards had let him go instead of sending him to the prision or to execute him, and when he asked why they surprisingly answered that this was a favor of mercy, but even so he accepted it.

"I swear that when I find who those two figures were, I'LL MAKE THEM PAY!" Roared the young dragonborn in rage, knowing that whoever those two were they had put the crime's fault upon him while they ran away, probably laughing at how much he must be suffering. "But for now, I have to get out of this forest first..."
And after thinking of what he must do, Spike traveled for a while longer before a strange sound similar to a growl caught his attention, then;
"RAAAAAAAAWWWWR!" Attacked a Manticore from behind to which the green-haired boy barely avoided before getting into a loose stand and getting out of the backpack his weapon, an axe which he designed himself because during his days in Canterlot he tried at first using many other weapons including Swords, Lances, Shields, Nuchukus and even Knifes, but most of them were to rigid or to difficult until he tried an Axe that he found, which was surprisingly easy to use for him, and that's when he decided to make his own Axe as a result.
"Alright you giant shit! I'm in a very FURIOUS mode, so unless you want to be nothing more than my next meal then GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!" The Manticore just growled, showing that it was going to fight to which Spike just sighed before getting serious as the giant beast launched itself again towards the boy, who managed to avoid it by going to the side before slashing his axe into the beast's leg making it cry in pain as blood flew of that wound.
But the beast wasn't so happy about the wound it got from it's prey, and that's why it decided to return the favor by using it's scorpion tail which Spike blocked with his axe yet he wasn't prepared to be whipped towards the Manticore, who then backhanded him with it's left arm sending the young dragonborn flying before crashing painfully in a tree.
Then the Manticore, already tasting it's newest victim, launched itself forward the weakened Spike but the dovalkhin wasn't out yet and that's why near the last moment he jumped avoiding the assault of the beast and landing on it's back, before concentrating all of his remaining willpower into a giant green flame that launched itself from his mouth into the Manticore, burning it's body as it tried in a desesperate effort to stop the flames by throwing Spike away, but the boy just hold very tight upon the Manticore as he kept slashing at it with his axe until the beast give up and fell to the ground as the flames burned away it's body and the dragonborn just watched surprised at the fact that he had won a fight against such fearsome creature by his own!
"Well, it seems you might end up as my meal after all, he he he he..." Laughed weakly Spike as he slowly began to walk away to rest and wait until the Manticore was completely burned by the fire he created at the cost of most of his power...but then he hear a familiar growl making him hesitate before turning around and seeing that the beast was STILL alive, even if barely and apparently it wanted to kill him before death took a hold of it. "AH CRA-!?"
Spike could only curse as the beast shot itself at him, but he knew that he would not be able to avoid the attack nor defend himself very well, then he remembered his unfair banishment and the mysterious assassin still roaming free, which made him get determined to get back at them!
(NOT YET! I CAN'T GIVE UP YET!) Thinked the green-haired dragon while he felt his right arm in pain, making him put it back as the Manticore neared him but then acting out of pure instinct he pushed his arm back before it expanded and was covered in some type of crystal armor and he used his now giant arm to punch the beast in the face with enough force to kill it as it flyed back, dead before even touching the ground.
"W-wha-?!" Spike whispered in awe before his arm returned back to normal and he fainted as the events of the whole day left him even more exhausted...just as two mysterious figures appeared, but those were more different from the ones that beat up Spike as they were more taller and they had more dragonic features, giving the fact that they were also dragonborns.
"Well, well, well...who would have thought that we would find a young dragonborn here as well, ain't that right Chrome?" Asked the first figure, who had red skin with orange spikes and a smirk on his face to the other dragonborn, who just sighed before taking Spike in his arm as his purple-green eyes widened after acknowledging the young man's appearance.
"I remember this boy...he was the one that dared to enter my cave and eat my gems!" Growled in rage the green skinned, green spiked dragonborn known as Chrome before he heard his companion laugh in amusement, "It's not that funny Rufus!"
"For me it is! HA HA HA HA! To believe that you got out of your cave to make such chaos just because a mere brat pissed you off by eating SOME gems! HA HA HA HA!" Rufus gloated to Chrome, who frowned before grinning.
"That's coming from someone who got pushed out of his cave during his sleep by a VALKYRIE'S STARE!" Chrome gloated back as Rufus' amusement was reemplazed with rage and some fear remembering the "Stare".
"OH COME ON! THAT WAS ACTUALLY TERRYFING! IF ONLY YOU HAD BEEN THERE, MAN!"
"Yeah, yeah...Anyway, what do we do with his brat?"
"Hmm," The two dragons thinked before the red-head got an idea, "Well, what if we let him be with us for a while? Just long enough for him to recover and for us to learn of his reason to be in this part of the forest, THEN we can drop him out of our backs, how's that sound?" Chrome went quiet at his friend's idea, thinking of the pros and cons because while he was curious about the young dovalkhin being in the forest, he didn't wanted him near his gems again..."But we can use my cave instead because I know how greedy you are when it came to your gems." Here the green head decided to simply roll with it and thus the two dragonborns flew away to the cave, not knowing what future changes would be made thanks to their decision.

"J-just what is this guy?!" Moaned one battered soldier as the rest fell with cuts on their bodies, and on top of a pile of those beaten soldiers stood a red-skinned figure with a oni-mask on his face and a broadsword on his right arm, and said figure just "grinned" before doing a pose that some famous actor would do in a movie and said:
"I. HAVE. ARRIVED~!"

"Catch HER!" Roared some fat person who right now looked naked because a thief stole all of his fortune before he knew what happened, and now said thief was avoiding the ship's security while doing some acrobacies and finally she jumped into the water where she got in top of a much more smaller but faster ship and soon she managed to get away while avoiding the spells shot after her. Then she grinned as the moon shined upon her bluish skin and womanly body.
"Hah, that was just too easy~!" She grinned while watching her newly adquired fortune.

"RUN!" Shouted a figure in black and green in a cowardly tone as he scaredly ran away from a store from which he stole some food as the owner was after him until the coward runner managed to loss the store owner by hidding in an alleway, from which he checked to both sides before getting out with the food and getting towards a club house where he gave some children there the food, making them cheer the figure. "THANKS NII-DONO!"
The figure just laughed nerviously, "Yohohoho, it was nothing that a superhero couldn't do!"

"Here you go madam~! Some nicely made Chowfan, enjoy~!" Said a man dressed in a yellow and black suit as he complimented the woman who ordered her food, and said woman just blushed while giggling before a cook took a hold of him by his back and proceed to drag him back to the kitchen, "Please NO! I WANT TO LIVE! I WANT TO LEAVE!"
"Don't push it, brat! You still need to deliver another 20 orders!"

"D-doctor! This patient needs more medicine, and faaaaast!" Screamed a girl with black and gray hair in a cute nurse outfit as she tried to take a hold of some medicine, but she keep falling to the ground in a comical way while the doctor, a giant and old sorcerer just sighed at his appretince's cluminess despite her best efforts to be a great medic as him, "Now, now, just pass me the medicine, OK~?"
"A-alright doctor! W-waaaahhh!"

"Hmph, such foul mouth and pathetic modals...and you still think you can beat me?!" Exclaimed a white-skinned, white armored person as he sit in a golden throne fit for a king that was in a room heavily decorated with fortune enough to make even the princesses themselves look like middle-class people as a beaten griffling tried to get to her feet, but failed and thus she could only glare darkly at the man in the throne who just scoffed, "JUST WHO THE HELL YOU THINK YOU ARE, YOU ARROGANT FREAK?!"
"Me, why of course I'm someone who is so civilized that you are nothing but a peasant a thousand years in the past in presence of a divine being to whom you shouldn't even be allowed to see~!" The griffling just cursed more.

"HA HA HA HA! BARTENDER, ANOTHER ROUND OF CIDER ONTO ME!" Screamed an armored figure resembling a kabuto samurai with glee in his voice while he drank a barrel of cider like nothing despite the fact that it should be impossible for a normal person to do so as the other people on the bar just cheered in approval as the bartender just sighed but complied and a earthling with an afro and a chicken on his head laughed, "Oh man, you KNOW how to give the spirit in parties!"
"Why thank you, CC~!"

"All right, let us see the song from the top..." Said a dark-blue, almost black figure that was near a piano as he saw the lyrics to his newest song as he hoped to finally leave the cursed place he ended up in.
"Chikara no Double Action~ Gens-DAMN IT! I CAN'T CONCENTRATE!"
