First Day
As a young stallion walked into the post office, he was beaming. Today was the first day of Raspberry Thunder’s new job, and he wanted to look his best. He had his pink hair trimmed and brushed to his favorite look. It was all in somewhat vain, his mane came out a little messy but he made it look more suited for him. His tan fur was dusted and groomed. His cutie mark, a raspberry that was struck by lightning, showed that he liked to make sour things, or bad things, sweeter. His hooves he had cleaned and slightly buffed them just so that they weren't too feminine. He kept his head held high and breathed in confidently, hoping that his first day would be great.
All that optimism, though, came to a shattering halt as he smashed into a older mail-stallion. As he looked he noticed, that he had stopped the blue stallion from walking around to get a closer look at the younger female recruits. He smirked but that was soon to be a frown as the older pony towered over him and started yelling, making everyone look at him. He flattened his ears against his head as the more experienced stallion was swearing at him in words he had no clue that they could be put together.
“What in Celestia’s Fucking, Why can’t you watch where you are going? Are you so fucking stupid that you can’t see where you’re going?”
“I’m sor-”
“Sorry. Sorry? Is that all you can fucking say?”
He closed his eyes and tightened his wings to him, in hopes that his smaller size would get the stallion to leave him alone. That, though, seemed to piss off the older pony more and more insults shot at him as he cowered there.
“What the fucking hell are you doing?! You are in PUBLIC! Why are you even here? Are you trying to be a Mail Stallion? What a fucking joke! You won’t last a fucking week!”
Raspberry thought there was going to be no end to his yelling and kept his head down and held his gaze down towards the ground. He tried looking for an escape at the time but, this was his first job and that made him really scared that they would just fire him on the spot. His eyes began to water to his udder amazement and he tried really hard to not let the other pony know how much his words hurt him.
“Hey!” Another pegasi stepped in between him and the pissed off Pegasus. She had opened her wings, as if to block any negative feelings against the pink haired stallion that was still feeling the smartness of the furious blue stallion’s words. He stormed away, leaving Raspberry feeling more relieved.
She waited until he was out of sight, which gave him a little time to look at her. Her hoofs showed her experience while her slightly chubby figure fitted against her outfit perfectly. Her rump was modestly covered in her blonde tail. Her cutie mark just lightly showed, bubbles that looked like they were rising, even though at a bunch of glances showed that they were still in place. Her hat let her hair flow out from under it and cover... her eyes? He squeaked as he saw her eyes looking at him. She was watching him staring at her! He looked down quickly and blushed and as she turned her head at him he noticed not both her eyes was watching him, for her left eye trailed over to the left a bit. Even though they were a little weird they were a pretty amber and they were breathtaking! He had caught himself staring again and as she tilted her head, he felt suddenly light headed. She was looking confused and he realized she had said something to him. He shook his head and watched her lips move as she asked him again.
“Are you alright?” Her eyes both showed concern, and confusion as the young stallion looked like he was thinking about something. She smiled brightly as he nodded quickly to not say anything stupid and make his first day any more awkward. She motioned him toward one of the rooms and he followed her quickly, only to find that he was in a fitting room with his new outfit on his back.
He walked out of the room in a over-sized outfit. The arms had fell almost to his hooves and it had worn out in some areas, patchwork hastily slapped on and sewn with whatever thread the sewer had. He grimaced at the new buttons that were mismatched and the threads already coming undone. He could maybe ask his trainer if he could fix it up a bit, maybe get the town fashion expert to help him. Somehow he felt like the cute filly had the same problem and through the years, she had either got hers refitted, or had gotten a new one altogether. Either way, he wanted to show off for her and get her to notice him. He rolled up his sleeves to take away the bulkiness while calculating what he must do to at least keep them up while he worked, and he walked up to the next room to get his trainer and his mailbag.
He skidded to a stop as he saw the dark blue stallion earlier today, and with his new mailbag right next to him. He had his light blue hair slicked back and his outfit looked like something out of a Wonderbolts picture. His uniform had looked ironed and starched and as the young stallion looked at himself, he felt more of a newbie. His name, Silvermist, was etched under two stars on a badge. He looked at his cutie mark which was quite odd. A silver feather over a envelope. He looked back up, as soon as the older stallion figured out who his new trainee was. Silvermist smirked and kept his thoughts on how to torture the poor colt for embarrassing him in front of the new fillies.
"Well Well Well.... I guess she won't be able to save you this time...." The blue stallion smirked and unfurled his wings. Raspberry gulped and backed up then walked slowly towards his new trainer, ready to get what the nice mare had protected him from.
