Teen rating for some language and suggestive themes. half of the story starts out with the main six and the princesses, but then evolves into sort of an aftermath future story. the Willpower magic that is mentioned here will probably be reused in other fics. this is my third full story i have in progress(out of 4) so far and I hope you all enjoy
“Why Luna, so pleasant of you to come visit me.” Celestia said as she opened her door to a knock to find Luna there. “Greetings, dear sister...” Luna said. “What's wrong?” Celestia asked. “I...I don't know...Thine heart feels different...” Luna replied. “Was it Nightmare Night?” Celestia asked, Luna nodded. “Oh, I should have never suggested it to you...” Celestia said, hugging her sister. “Oh no no! The suggestion was well made, I actually had...fun...” Luna said. “Then why is it a bad thing?” Celestia asked. “My heart...Your student, twilight sparkle, helped us all through the night...I...I think we have become friends.” Luna said. “That's great, did you meet any of her friends? They are very kind.” Celestia said. “A few of them...the pink one was sort of...a cause of both good and bad...but I forgive her...but the only other pony we met was one called Fluttershy...she helped us...tame...our voice...but she was absolutely frightened of us...and it made me sad because she was so very kind...” Luna said. “My my Luna...have you developed a crush on Dear Fluttershy?” Celestia asked, half serious. “I do not want to crush her!” Luna retorted. Celestia laugh. “It's a term used nowadays...it means you like her just a bit more than a friend, but not a lover...not yet at least.” Celestia said. “But...but I don't know...is it even alright to...have a crush...on another Mare?” Luna asked. “It's perfectly fine Luna...but if the two of you become friends in the future and decide to take it further I'll have to talk to the both of you.” Celestia said as she began penning a letter.
“What?” Luna said. “I'm just thinking ahead...It's been so long sense I've seen Twilight Sparkle and her friends...I'm inviting them over for tea and sweets this Saturday, it could be a chance for you to make even more friends, and perhaps befriend this Fluttershy?” Celestia finished with a knowing smirk towards her sister. “That would be...nice...I suppose...but if you get to tease me about feelings then I get to tease you, what about you and Twilight Sparkle?” Luna asked. “She's my student Luna, my friend.” Luna said. “Based on what you called a Crush, I see it in you with Twilight Sparkle.” Luna said. “I do like her more than a friend, but I think that's motherly love, not Romantic love.” Celestia said. “I can see it in your eyes sister...you don't really believe that.” Luna said. “I may not understand my heart just yet, but I didn't hide it...you can tell me, dear sister.” Luna said. “...Alright Luna...Yes, I have thought of Twilight in a...romantic way...It's just...weird...I have known her sense she was small enough to sit on my head...I am afraid I will ruin the friendship and make lessons and teachings awkward...” Celestia said. “Don't fret sister...we shall help each other out.” Luna said, nuzzling up to her sister.
“Hey Fluttershy what's wrong?” Twilight asked when the Timid Pegasus came into the library. “Um...did...did Princess Luna leave?” she asked. “Yeah, a while ago.” Twilight replied. “Oh...” the Pegasus sighed sadly. “What's wrong?” Twilight asked. “I just feel so bad for how I acted...I had no idea she was having such a bad time...I just wish I could have made it up to her...She was so happy after she...tamed her voice...I realized then that she just wanted friends and I treated her like a monster...” Fluttershy said, nearly breaking into tears. Twilight was about to console her friend but a letter appeared. She opened it and Fluttershy read it with her. “We're all invited to join Celestia and Luna for tea and sweets this Saturday!” Twilight exclaimed. “E-Everyone?” Fluttershy asked. “yes, even you Fluttershy.” Twilight said. “Come on let's go tell everyone! Tomorrow is Saturday!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Whoa...A carriage this fancy jus' fer us?” Applejack said when the Carriage arrived, well two of them. One was gold and white and pulled by the Royal guards while the other was dark blue and light blue pulled by the Night Guards. “Come on, pick your rides!” Twilight said happily and entered the white one and was joined by Rarity and Applejack. Fluttershy entered the darker one with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. “I still wish I could have designed the most marvelous dresses for each and every one of you.” Rarity said to Twilight as they took off. “She specifically wrote that it's informal, just came as you are.” Twilight replied. “Wow we get to eat royal sweets!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed in the other Carriage. “Yeah, OH maybe I can see if I can get in the guard!” Dash said.
The two Carriages arrived in the courtyard where Luna and Celestia herself stood to greet them. Rarity and Fluttershy shied away from Luna for a second but then remembered she had personally invited them, though Fluttershy still held her natural Shyness. “It's been too long Twilight Sparkle.” Celestia said as they hugged. “I know, I wish I could visit more often.” Twilight said. Luna gave her a knowing glace and Celestia rolled her eyes. “I'm sorry to leave you all alone but you have arrived early so there is about an hour of time left before we begin. There is much to do at the Palace, but I have something to finish in my study.” Celestia said. “I too have to get ready for raising the moon, I will be in the garden if anypony needs be until then.” Luna said and walked off. “Well, Not exactly what ah was expectin' when we got here early...but Ah'd like to walk around uh bit.” Applejack said. “Um, I'll join you.” Rarity said. The other four smirked, they knew about the relationship between the Unicorn and the Earth pony, they were horrible at hiding it. “Well I'm not so sneaky about it, I haven't seen Pinkie in a while so we're gunna go make out.” Rainbow said, making pinkie laugh as she bounced after the Blue Mare. “I'm going to go see if I can talk to the animals again...” Fluttershy said to Twilight. “You sure it's not just because Luna is there?” Twilight asked with a smirk. “What? Oh, Princess Luna is there? I didn't hear her say anything...Should I not go-” the Shy Pegasus started but Twilight stopped her. “Just go enjoy the garden, talk to the princess or don't it's up to you.” Twilight said. Fluttershy nodded and walked off. Twilight decided to go and help Celestia like she used to.
“Princess?” Twilight said lightly as she poked her head into the Study. “Oh, Twilight Sparkle...I was wondering when you'd show up.” Celestia said weakly. “What's wrong princess?” Twilight asked, fully stepping into the room. “Oh this and that...nothing a good outing with friends can't fix...I'm just exhausted from all of this damn Paperwork.” she said. She put her hoof over her mouth, she had let her composure utterly fall. Twilight laughed. “It's ok to be you around me Princess, I know exactly how you feel.” Twilight said as she walked up and used her magic to organize some papers that had fallen. “Thank you Twilight.” Celestia said. “Maybe I should visit more often, if nothing else but to help you out with your paperwork.” she said. Celestia smiled, she loved the Idea. “I would be very glad, if it is within your abilities you could teleport here any time you'd like as long as you notify me first, I sometimes get into trances and interruptions startle me so suddenly.” Celestia said with a light laugh. “Don't worry, I'd never just barge in uninvited.” Twilight said. Celestia Hugged the Unicorn as she neared. “I love having you around, if for nothing else than I don't have to put on a mask or anything.” Celestia said. Twilight blushed and stammered a bit. “I-I'm glad you can be that way with me.” she replied.
“Oh...I was hoping the little bunnies were friendly this time...” Fluttershy said to herself in sadness as the animals ran away from her again. She heard humming nearby and thought some of the animals were making the noise, so she walked towards it. What she found was Luna humming a slightly darker tune but she liked it. There was a black owl perched on her shoulder, lightly hooing along with her master. It's head snapped to Fluttershy and she squeaked and hid behind the bush. “What did you see Midnight?” Luna asked. She cautiously looked into the bush to see Fluttershy curled up. “Eep!” the shy Mare exclaimed when she saw Luna looking at her and tried to disappear into the ground. “Oh, Dear Fluttershy...I am sorry, did I startle you?” she asked, remembering to keep her voice light an gentle. “Oh um...N-N-Not at A-All Princess...Y-Your owl just s-spooked me a bit.” Fluttershy said. “It's alright, you just startled her...Midnight say hello.” Luna said as she had the Owl hop onto her foreleg and she placed the owl next to the Pegasus. “hoo?” the owl said as it came in front of her face. Fluttershy looked at it and shut her eyes quick. “Hoo...” the owl said sadly, but then perked up and rubbed it's head against Fluttershy's. “My, she has taken a liking to you Dear Fluttershy...I have not seen her be so friendly to another pony before.” Luna said. “H-hello Midnight...” Fluttershy said lightly. “So what brings you here to the Garden, did something come up?” Luna asked. “O-oh no...I j-just wanted to see the animals...but they're s-scared of me...” the yellow Pegasus said sadly. “Scared of you?...that's silly...well I'm glad you found one animal that enjoys your company as much as I do.” Luna said as she helped the yellow Pegasus up.
“U-Um...Princess...I...I want to say I'm very, very sorry for how I acted on Nightmare night...I didn't take the time to show you my kindness and see past what Everypony thought of you...I'm glad it turned out so well for you.” Fluttershy said after a bit of silence. “Thank you Fluttershy, that means a lot to me coming form one as Kind as you...” Luna said. “I am just glad Ponies enjoy my night as much as they do...” Luna said. “I love your night princess, I stay up later than everypony else to care for the Nocturnal creatures and I always find myself looking at the sky...Night is my favorite time because it's so nice and quiet and peaceful.” Fluttershy said. “I especially love it during the Winter...it lasts much longer and the pure white snow with the pure Darkness just fills my heart with warmth...” she continued. Luna was nearly in tears, she was overjoyed that she had started to become friends with Fluttershy, and now she was saying such beautiful things about her night she couldn't help herself. Fluttershy normally would have freaked out and screeched if somepony ever hugged her without her knowledge, but when Princess Luna did just that, she felt oddly calm. “P-Princess Luna?” Fluttershy said. “Thank you so much Fluttershy...thank you so, so much...I created the night so I could revel in the beauty of the dark...now that I know that another does so in my creation...and please...call me Luna now...we are friends are we not?” Luna asked, looking at the shy Pegasus. “Of course Princess...I would be honored to to be called your friend.” Fluttershy said. Luna's smile was big as the moon there, which reminded her it was almost time.
The two princesses raised the moon and lowered the sun to officially start the night instead of leaving it in the in between. “Well, now that we are free from our Duties let's begin.” Celestia said happily as everyone returned to where they had met before. “I hope you all don't mind, it's been so long sense I've had a taste of Wine...you are all of age correct?” Celestia said as a large red bottle and eight glasses floated towards them when they were seated at a large table magically placed in the garden. “'Course princess.” Applejack said and a general affirmative followed. “Good, let's toast to friendship then.” Celestia said as the glasses were filled. They toasted and enjoyed the evening, Dash and Pinkie devouring the sweets. “This is quite a bit stronger than I remember.” Luna said after a bit. “Yeah, I've never had Wine this strong before.” Twilight said. “Oh, I've been saving it for a long time now...it has been aging for over a thousand years.” Celestia said. “Why would you waste such high class Wine on us?” Rarity exclaimed. “I was saving it for a time when I could share it with my sister and close friends...now is the perfect time don't you think?” Celestia explained. “Well shoot, thanks a million Princess, it means uh lot tuh us that ye'd think of us as such.” Applejack said. “We'd LOVE to be thought of as good friends!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Yeah, what's more awesome than enjoying some classy wine with the rulers of Equestria?” Dash said. “If it is absolutely fine with you I won't turn it down.” Rarity said. “I'm happy we can all be friends.” Twilight said. “um...I'm glad we have all um...bad memories behind us.” Fluttershy said.
The time flew by as the group of friends enjoyed the night. “Well shoot, guess she's out fer the count.” Applejack said with a laugh as she noticed Rarity had fallen asleep. “I have already prepared rooms for you all, the castle is a bit short on sleeping space so there's only three rooms set up but they're big enough for two.” Celestia said. “I hope that isn't a problem for any of you.” she continued. “Not at all Princess.” Applejack said. Celestia called over some guards to show them their rooms, Dash was with Pinkie while Twilight and Fluttershy roomed together. “I can't sleep...” Twilight said in an annoyed tone. “m-me neither...” Fluttershy said. “I'm going to go to my old private study and see if anything is still there...” Twilight said as she got up. “um...ok...I think I'll go back to the garden.” Fluttershy said.
“Oh Twilight? What are you doing up?” Twilight heard when she entered the study. “Princess?” Twilight exclaimed, the Princess looked like she was ready for bed but she wasn't in her room. “Um...I couldn't sleep...” Twilight said. “Nor I...seems fate wanted us to meet again tonight.” Celestia said with a weak smile. “So what's keeping you up?” she continued, scooting over a bit on the rug so Twilight could join her. “I don't know...I just can't put my mind to rest...” Twilight said. “You can talk to me Twilight.” Celestia said. Twilight smiled weakly and gathered her thoughts. “Well...if you didn't notice it before, Pinkie and Dash are together and even Rarity and AJ...I just feel kinda left out.” Twilight said. Celestia smiled. “What about dear Fluttershy? She seems a well match for you.” Celestia said. “Oh no! We're friends...and besides, I think she likes somepony else anyways.” Twilight said. “Oh? Who is the lucky pony?” Celestia asked. “Um...she hasn't actually said it...but...she's kinda easy to read...I think she might have feelings for...for your sister.” Twilight said. Celestia's face registered surprise for a moment before she laughed. “What's so funny?” Twilight asked. “Not five minutes before I invited you all here, Luna confessed something to me...she had a crush on the kind little Pegasus that helped her greatly with Taming her voice.” Celestia said. “What? So the feelings are Mutual?” Twilight asked. Celestia nodded. “We shouldn't interfere, let them decide what is best.” Celestia said. Twilight nodded and they enjoyed each others company, eventually falling asleep.
Fluttershy sighed in content, she loved this garden at night she had found. She didn't even care much that the animals feared her, if she visited enough they would come to her. She was content just gazing up at the beautiful night. “Why do I feel so good all of a sudden?” Fluttershy said to herself. “And why didn't I get scared when the princess hugged me...I wanted to be friends with her so bad...her voice is so calming when she's not shouting...” she continued to herself. She was so entranced by a particular set of stars she didn't notice movement near her, nor the light flapping of wings. “Hoo?” Fluttershy suddenly heard and jumped a mile in the air as she looked down to see Midnight staring at her. “Oh...it's just you midnight...” Fluttershy said with relief. “My owl is not your only company dear Fluttershy.” Luna said. The voice calmed her as did the presence, but she still fell over from the sudden presence. “oh I am sorry I startled you so twice in one night.” Luna said. “it's perfectly fine Princess Luna, I'm just so easy to frighten I'm used to it.” Fluttershy said. “Well I hope we become good enough friends to where I no longer need to worry...and Didn't I ask you to drop the title? I get enough formality in the palace...I don't need my friends bowing to me...” the Night Princess said. “Oh...of course Pri-...Luna...” Fluttershy said. Luna smiled. “I heard what you were saying, do I really do those things for you?” Luna asked. Fluttershy nodded. “It's a really big deal too...my OWN voice startles me sometimes...but yours calms me like the night you created...” Fluttershy said. Luna was deeply touched by the things Fluttershy said. She couldn't stop herself, she sat down next to the shy Pony and held her very close. Little did she now, that's exactly what Fluttershy wanted. “Dear Fluttershy...I fear I may be falling for you...” Luna said lightly. Fluttershy's eyes widened, but she just snuggled in closer to the Princess. “I-I have the same feeling...but I w-was afraid of h-how you'd react.” Fluttershy said. Luna brought her head up, smiled at Fluttershy and kissed her full on the lips. Fluttershy feinted.
Luna took Fluttershy to her room and laid her on the bed. She kissed her forehead and left, leaving the Unconscious Pegasus with joyful surprise frozen on her face. “They seem to have better connection skills than we anticipated.” Celestia said with a giggle. They hadn't meant to spy on the other two, but the tower they had awoken in was in perfect view of the Garden. Twilight was smiling, but in her eyes Celestia saw a deep sadness and longing, she sensed that longing was for someone to care for her. “Talk to me.” Celestia said, nudging the Unicorn. Twilight sighed heavily and put her head on her forelegs. “Now I'm the only one without somepony special so spend my life with.” she said sadly. Celestia thought long and hard and decided to take a risk.
“You have me my dear Twilight.” Celestia said, putting her head up against Twilight's. Twilight smiled and nudged back. “I know I do Celestia.” Twilight said. Celestia smiled, of course she wouldn't catch it. “I mean...you always have me as that somepony special.” she said lightly and Kissed twilight on the cheek. Twilight's face went so red she was surprised she kept conscious. “w-w-w-w-what?” Twilight said. Celestia looked a bit sad, but she persevered. “I've watched you grow from a filly just figuring out her magic to the grown Mare....a beautiful grown Mare... and I do believe I've fallen in love with that Beautiful mare, the first time in all of my years.” Celestia said. “But this is probably too much and too awkward for you...” Celestia said, looking down with a sad smile. “No Princess...even if I didn't love you like that back I'd always be your friend.” Twilight said, hugging her. Celestia caught the 'even if I didn't' and smiled. “So what shall I refer to you as now?...my most faithful student?, my closest friend?...or my dearest love?” Celestia asked. “I don't care.” Twilight said with a little laugh as they snuggled up together and fell asleep once more
Fluttershy woke up and stretched to find Twilight dozing happily next to her. 'so it was just a dream?' Fluttershy thought to herself. She got up and recognized a familiar, but unnamed scent. She thought hard to think of where she remembered it from. She realized it was Luna's scent. She then realized there was an unfamiliar taste around her mouth. She put a hoof up to her mouth as she realized she had feinted and what happened was real. Her face flushed up as she remembered it like it had just happened. She heard a yawn and realized Twilight had woken up. “Morning Fluttershy...did you enjoy your little date with the Princess?” Twilight asked. Fluttershy's face went red as she nodded. “Me and Celestia saw from one of the towers, she approves by the way.” Twilight said. “Oh you had a little date with Celestia too” Fluttershy asked. “Well...sorta...it wasn't intended to be like that...” the Unicorn said, her face going red. “Did it go like mine?” Fluttershy asked politely. “Well...we didn't kiss...not directly anyways...but...yeah.” Twilight said. “Oh I am so happy for you! Should we tell the others?” Fluttershy asked, her excitement submitting to her worry. “I think we should...they're the last ones that'd be Prejudice...” Twilight said. “o-ok...but what about the Princesses? What if they don't want anypony to know?” she asked. “...I didn't think about that...your kindness amazes me Fluttershy...we should definitely talk to them but our friends should still know.” Twilight said with a smile. Fluttershy nodded.
There was a tapping on the window and they looked to see Philemina, Celestia's Phoenix, and midnight sharing the windowsill and knocking the glass. Twilight magicked open the window and the two birds perched on their master's partner's shoulders. “They have notes.” Twilight said. They took the notes out of the beaks of the birds and read them. They both said basically the same thing, Breakfast is to be served and they should gather their friends and that they'd like to talk about last night afterward. They gathered their friends from the rooms nearby and they all entered the private dining hall, where Celestia was sitting happily drinking tea and Luna looked a bit tired as she sipped Coffee. “Ah, perfect timing girls.” Celestia said just as they sat down as a few ponies came in with a few trays. There was bacon, lots of bacon, an omelet for each of them, either tea or coffee surprisingly with accuracy and a large waffle with fruit jam on top. “Wow, I always thought Breakfast was a quick little snack to keep you going until lunch like a pancake or a cupcake but this is amazing!” Pinkie exclaimed as she dug in as Dash did as well.
Rarity and Applejack were much more well mannered but enjoyed it just as much. Fluttershy was eating it and enjoying it, but very cautiously. Twilight was somewhat used to it so she struck up conversation with the two princesses about their mornings. “Well, Ah reckon it's about time fer us tuh go...” Applejack said after breakfast. “It was very nice meeting you all again, you are all welcome back anytime...Twilight, Fluttershy would you mind staying a bit longer? There is something I want to teach to the two of you.” Celestia said. “I don't mind at all princess.” Twilight replied. “Oh...um...I guess it's ok...um...spike is watching the animals for me.” Fluttershy said. “Well see you all when you get back! I'll throw you a party to celebrate what you learned!” Pinkie pie exclaimed. “Sure, you do that.” Twilight said happily and the two groups split up.
“So what is it you want to teach us?” Twilight asked, “Two things...they are very old and rare forms of magic...by Rare, I mean only Luna and I know of it...it is older than Unicorns actually.” Celestia said. “Wait what?” Twilight said. “Before Unicorns, there was a type of magic that any old earth pony or Pegasus pony could do...the art was long lost once Unicorns came along but it isn't dead. It requires only a strong will and a pure heart, and the only magic is the magic of friendship.” Celestia said. “U-um...are you sure this will work for me?...I don't exactly...have that strong a will...” Fluttershy said. “Dear Fluttershy, you have an unbreakable will...your kindness, you will yourself to be kind and shy...that is your choice.” Luna said. Fluttershy smiled and looked attentively at Celestia. “Alright, Twilight you already know half of what I plan to teach you...Teleportation is the first half. It uses Willpower instead of magical power so this may be difficult even for you Twilight. You focus on yourself being next to a very close friend or loved one or a place you can truly call home and completely will yourself to be there...” Celestia explained. “So it's just like magic, but instead of Magical power it's Willpower...you are willing it to happen.” Twilight said. “Exactly...Willpower magic can be the most powerful magic there is, but it can be unreliable for those with unstable wills. Neither of you exhibit any signs you'd ever be left with your will broken so we don't need to worry about that.” Celestia said with a smile.
“Ok...let's try it.” Twilight said. Fluttershy nodded and they both closed their eyes and concentrated. They both sort of blew away like dust and reformed next to the princesses. “We did it!” they exclaimed happily. “Wow...I am impressed, Willpower is a difficult thing to command. To do this the first try is amazing...this next part though is a little trickier...it's the same thing, but you're sending something else somewhere. Whether it be another pony or an object you can send it to a place you can truly call home or to a very close friend or loved one.” Celestia said again. “Alright...we'll try.” Fluttershy said quietly. After a few more minutes of concentration they managed to teleport an item from the table into the hoofs of the princess. “You can also teleport things at a place like that to you or somepony else...but that takes much more practice...Have you realized why I have showed you this?” Celestia asked. The two thought for a moment and Fluttershy answered. “You want to be able to um...keep in touch with us and not um...have to use spike and to um...visit as we please.” the shy mare said. “Exactly.” Luna replied. “I will warn you now though, the Magic of Willpower is very strange...it is the reason why we have Pegasus Ponies and Unicorns...Ponies willed themselves to fly and they grew wings...they willed themselves to use simple magic, and Horns appeared...after that though as I said before the art faded out of everypony's knowledge...Our mother was the last pony alive from that age and she passed her knowledge onto us as we pass it on to you.” Luna said. “We will be very careful.” Fluttershy said. “Remember, keep your will strong, your friendships stronger and your friends close...you may tell them if you please, but until our next meeting I am afraid our relationships will be secret. We want to make sure we are all 100% sure of our feelings.” Celestia said. “Right.” Twilight said.
“Well shoot, that wus thuh best time Ah've had in a while.” Applejack when they all decided to get lunch together in Ponyville. “So, what did the princesses want?” Dash asked. “They wanted to show us a few spells.” Twilight said. “So you learned some new stuff? That's GREAT I should throw a party!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Whoa calm down there pinkie, pretty soon you'll have twenty parties planned at once.” Dash said. “Eh...you're right...even parties need to be spaced out to two a day at the most.” Pinkie said. Dash just laughed along with everyone else. “um...Twilight? S-should we tell them?” Fluttershy asked the Unicorn. “Well, yeah we should.” Twilight said. “ok...” Fluttershy replied and Twilight got their attention. “Hey guys. So you four have each other as your special somepony, you two are horrible at hiding it.” Twilight said, the last part when Applejack and Rarity made surprised faces. “Wait are you saying you two got together?!” Pinkie yelled. Fluttershy's face went red and Twilight laughed. “Sorta, but not with each other...” she said, not really knowing how to say it. Might as well just say it she thought. “I'm kind of dating princess Celestia...” she continued, rubbing the back of her head. The other four looked shocked. “And...um..I'm...I'm with princess..Luna...” Fluttershy said, barely able to hear.
The other four's looks of surprised turned into amazement and surprise combined. “That's AWESOME!” Pinkie yelled. “Dude, with the Princesses? That's so totally awesome.” Dash said. “I can see it now, you make great pairs.” Rarity said. “Ah'm not against it or nothin' but aren't they over 1,000 years older than yuh?” Applejack asked. Twilight shrugged. “Princess Luna didn't age when she was on the moon so she's technically not that much older...and with Princess Celestia...well...it doesn't bother me.” Twilight said. “but WAIT wasn't she like your mom?!” Pinkie asked. “No, she was more like an older sister if anything.” Twilight said with a laugh. “Speaking of mom I haven't seen my parents in a long time...” Twilight said. “I don't think any of us have in a long while Darling.” Rarity said. “OH I GOT IT!” Dash yelled. “What?” “When we all got time we should go and say hi to our folks with our special somepony!” she continued. “That's actually not a bad Idea at all.” Fluttershy said lightly. “We'll probably have to take our folks to our somepony special though.” Twilight said with a laugh. “But what about what they said?” Fluttershy asked. “We obviously can't do it right away so we can give everypony time to think.” Twilight replied. Fluttershy looked nervous but she nodded.
Celestia had a bit of free time from her work so she decided to relax in her room until she was needed. Suddenly there was the sound of blowing dust and the sound of paper falling to the ground. She opened the Letter and smiled as she read it. “I wanted to test to see if I could send a letter to you Princess, if it worked and this is the Princess may I have a reply? If not then please bring this to Celestia. - Twilight Sparkle.” the Letter read. Celestia smiled and penned a note saying she had received it and if there was anything she wanted to say or ask while she had free time. A moment later the Reply came. “YES IT WORKED! And yes Princess, there is a matter I would like to ask you about. Today I mentioned none of us have seen our parents in a while so Dash suggested everypony should meet their Partner's parents with them. We don't know when and I'm not sure if you'd be alright with that. - Twilight Sparkle.” the second Letter read.
“Of course I'd love to officially meet your Parents Twilight, as your Princess, Friend, Mentor and Partner in life all in one.” Celestia penned. “Just make sure you tell me beforehand.” she added at the end and sent it. “Of course princess, your partner in life, Twilight Sparkle.” the reply read. Celestia smiled at the signature, she only told the two Ponies they wanted to make sure their feelings were 100% for Fluttershy and Luna's sake for she knew hers were above that.
“What is this?” Luna asked herself as she awoke a bit early from her daytime nap and found a Letter was appearing soundlessly on the nightstand. Luna smiled as she read it. “I would love to meet your Parents dear Fluttershy, and obviously your skills with this spell are excellent for I have received this Notation. Please inform me beforehand so I can modify my schedule accordingly.” her reply read. The two Princesses were smiling as they went about their duties once more. The two Ponies in Ponyville, however, were grinning and dancing around their houses. A few days later they had all decided on when they wanted to go, Dash and Pinkie went immediately to Cloudsdale while Rarity and Applejack decided to head up to Canterlot to visit Rarity's parents first. Fluttershy and Luna had decided to visit Fluttershy's right after Luna raised the moon that day while Twilight went to Canterlot to find a carriage to carry her parents to the Palace.
“So where do your folks live?” Dash asked. “Well, technically they live on a rock farm...but when I left and was old enough they sent me a letter telling me they only adopted me, my birth dad is unknown but my Birth mom is in Cloudsdale!” Pinkie said. “Whoa so your mom was a Pegasus pony?” Dash asked. “Yup! Turns out after I found that out I was able to walk on clouds, I found out after a party cannon mishap.” she said with a laugh, they were riding Pinkie's balloon. “Whoa that is so cool.” Dash said. They arrived at Cloudsdale and Dash led pinkie to a physical rehabilitation center. “Why are we here Dashie?” Pinkie asked. “When I was really little my mom died and my dad was hurt really bad. They were original members of the wonderbolts and they were doing a really hard trick and they collided and fell really far...” she said, sadness seeping into her face. “So that's why you want to be a Wonderbolt so bad...” Pinkie said as she stopped bouncing for once. “Yeah...that's why I keep crashing too, I am going to perfect that Maneuver and show the Wonderbolts I can do it and they'll HAVE to let me in.” Dash said. “We're here.” she continued as they entered a room.
“Who is it?” a Stallion's voice called when Dash knocked her hoof on the open door. “It's me Dad.” she said. “My little Dashie...it's about time you visited.” he said, looking up from the bed he lay on. “How're they feeding you?” Dash asked. “Oh you know Rehab food...sometimes it's good sometimes it's not...I learn to deal with it.” he said as they hugged. “We brought you something.” she said and had Pinkie give him a bag. “Who's your friend?” he asked. “Her name is Pinkie Pie...she's my Marefriend. It was her idea, she made them.” Dash said. The blue Stallion sat up and Pinkie gasped, one of his wings were missing and the stump had bandages on it. “Hmm.” he said and looked Pinkie over, opened the bag and found cupcakes. He tried one, smiled and practically inhaled it. “Well Miss Pinkie, anypony who can bake this good is alright in my books.” he said. Pinkie lit up and bounced around happily saying thank you over and over again. “She reminds me of your mother...” he said to Dash lightly. “Yeah...just imagine if she had wings...” she said. “I don't even want to know.” he said. “Thank you both for visiting, it means a lot to me that you haven't forgotten me Dashie.” he said. Dash hugged him and they left. “He's really cool!” Pinkie said. “You're just saying that because he loves your cooking.” Dash said. “So?!” Pinkie replied.
“So where does your mom live?” Dash asked. “Hang on I have the letter here.” Pinkie said and a letter somehow appeared in her hooves though she wore no saddlebag. “Um this way!” Pinkie said and took off in a direction. They arrived at a large cloud house and Pinkie knocked. A Pegasus Mare who had a coat and mane like fire answered. “Hi! Are you Pink Inferno?” Pinkie asked. “Hang on, I'll get her.” the Mare said and walked back yelling “Mom! Somepony here for you!”. “Mom? Hey she must be my sister! Dashie you alright?” Pinkie asked when she looked at Dash's face and saw utter amazement. “That was Spitfire...the CAPTAIN of the WONDERBOLTS....if she is your sister...” she started but Spitfire came back with a slightly larger Mare. If Pinkie Pie was a bit bigger, had wings and looked like fire they'd be twins. “Who is it?” she asked, moving her pink eyes towards them. Pinkie's eyes matched Dash's now. “Wait...you can't be...Pinkamina?” she asked, pinkie nodded. “Pinkamina?” Spitfire said. “Come in, come in.” Inferno said.
“So...so you really are my mommy?” Pinkie asked when they all sat down. Spitfire was confused. “Yeah...Spitfire, this is your sister...Pinkamina Diane Pie.” Inferno said to the other Pegasus. “It's Pinkie Pie now.” Pinkie said with a laugh. “Well Pinkie, I've seen you a few times...if I would have known we were sister's I'd have made friends with you a long time ago.” Spitfire said with a smile. “So I suppose you want to know why I put you up for adoption.” Inferno said to Pinkie. Pinkie nodded. “I had Spitfire...after that your Father, a magnificent Earth Pony, died to illness...you came out as a bubbling earth pony, just like him...he had a red coat and red mane...I guess the red orange and yellow combined into pink for you.” she said with a weak laugh. “But...I couldn't care for a Pegasus and teach her to fly and teach an Earth Pony as well...I couldn't go back to Ponyville to raise you, I needed my job here in Cloudsdale or both of you would have been suffering...so I gave you to an Earth pony family near Ponyville, it was the only thing I could do and I'm so happy you came out so well.” she said. Pinkie dashed up and hugged her. “Heh, I hope you don't see me as a Favorite or the lucky kid Pinkie...” Spitfire said. Pinkie glomped the Pegasus. “Of course not! You're my sister how could I not like you?!” Pinkie exclaimed. Spitfire laughed.
“Sorry for Ignoring you dear, but who might you be?” Inferno asked Dash. “Oh I recognize you...you're that Rainbow Dash that saved my flank at that race with the Sonic Rainboom.” Spitfire said. “That was you?” Inferno asked. “Yeah...it was pretty awesome.” Dash said, rubbing the back of her head. “OH! I forgot! Mom this is my Marefriend Dashie!” Pinkie said. “Marefriend eh?” Spitfire said. “Y-Yeah...” Dash replied. “Well I'm glad you can keep my Daughter happy Miss Dash.” Inferno said, nudging the blue pony. “Hey aren't you looking for a spot in the Wonderbolts?” Spitfire asked. “Yeah.” Dash said. “Well you're family now, I can audition you.” Spitfire said. “no, I'll audition when I earn it...besides...there's something I want to use for the Audition that I want to have mastered.” Dash said. “What is that?” “a Solo version of the Spirit Lightning Dash.” Dash said. Spitfire looked confused but Inferno knew the maneuver. “Where ever did you learn of that thing? Spirit Dash and Lightning Dash invented it and told nopony how to do it...Spirit Dash died attempting it and Lightning-” “Is in Rehab with an amputated wing...I know where my dad is...” Dash said. Inferno gasped and Spitfire looked at her with sympathy. “Oh...Rianbow Dash...I should have seen the connection...why ever would you attempt that thing though?” Inferno asked. “You want to prove your family can do it...don't you.” Spitfire said. Dash nodded and Spitfire smiled. “Well then I expect to see you very soon, you've got amazing aerial skills...I wouldn't be surprised if I see you next week...” Spitfire said.
“We're here Darling.” Rarity said as she and Applejack stood in front of a small clothing shop. “Mah, fer some reason Ah expected yer parents tuh live in some place fancy an' run a place fit fer Celestia.” Applejack said. “They're just a bit larger than I am, I've been keeping in touch and they already know about us.” Rarity said. “Mah folks do too, don' know their reactions yet.” Applejack said as they entered. “oh Rarity Darling it is so good to see you again!” a larger clone of Rarity said as she hugged the white Unicorn. “And you must be dear Applejack. When she first wrote us about you we were a bit skeptical letting a Country Mare date our daughter, but in later letters we agree it is for the better.” a Stallion Unicorn said, his mane blue and his coat the same white. “Oh father, I felt the same way when we first started...but I can't stand those Rich Ponies.” Rarity said. “You and be both my dear.” her mother said. Applejack smiled at the warm welcome.
“They really did enjoy your apple treats, you may have found some customers.” Rarity said with a laugh as they boarded a train later that day. “Well thuh Best apples in Equestria never fail.” Applejack said with a laugh. “so Where do your parents live?” “They live somewhere in between Appleloosa and Ponyville, this train will take us right to thuh city.” Applejack said. When the train stopped Rarity smiled, she had grown to like the familiarity and family feel of the Apple family farm and this town was like a large scale version of it. “They musta known we was comin'.” Applejack said as two brown earth ponies, the Mare with long braided brown mane and the Stallion short blonde. “Ah'd recognize that Pony and that hat anywhere. Welcome back Applejack.” the Stallion said as they hugged. “Yeah, Ah reckon' it's about time yuh met Rarity.” Applejack said. Rarity stepped forward and said hello. “Names Big Macintosh, the first.” the Stallion said. “golden Delicious.” the Mare said as they shook her hoof. “Hm...Quite a fancy little thing yuh are, I's expectin' yer hoof tuh be softer...but they're good and strong.” Big Macintosh said. “I may be a Fashion Designer back in Ponyville but I know my way around Labor.” Rarity said. “Ah got her tuh realize dirt don' kill er.” Applejack said. “Well miss Rarity, let's see how you do on a full scale Apple farm.” Golden said with a smirk. Rarity gulped but held steady.
“It's been too long Twilight...far too long...last time we saw you, you turned us into plants.” Twilight's father said with a laugh. “I know. You got my Letter right?” Twilight asked. “yes we did, we're meeting your Marefriend...but she lives in the Palace?” her mother asked. “Well she is pretty important.” Twilight said as they left the Carriage. Twilight was glad they were fine with her partner being a Mare. “Really? How important?” her father asked. “Well...you'll see...try...try not to freak out, it's already awkward enough as it is.” Twilight said. “Why, why would we 'freak out'?” her father asked but stopped as Celestia stepped towards them when they entered a room. They stopped and bowed, but Celestia raised them and smiled. “You have no need to bow to me...technically I'm your Daughter-in-law now.” she said. Twilight face hoofed, but she wanted to see her parents' reactions to it. She wasn't disappointed. Her parents looked looked at her, who nodded, back at Celestia, who nodded, at each other and feinted simultaneously.
“We were like sisters almost...and I guess we just sort of...fell for each other on the way without realizing it.” Twilight said when they revived and asked how. “But...but, no offense Princess...but you are so much older...” Twilight's father said. “We talked about that. When I first started having these feelings I thought about it...I thought it was a horrible thing...but then I thought more and more on it...for one as old as I, age matters not for there is no other that matches me...so I decided if I am to love, then I will love one who knows me better than I do myself and who we've been there for each other for a long time.” Celestia explained. Twilight's mother smiled with her father and they bowed again. “Please, do not bow to me.” Celestia said. “If we do not bow to you as our princess, we bow to you as a thanks for bringing our Daughter happiness.” Twilight's mother said. Celestia and Twilight smiled and Celestia returned the bow and Twilight hugged her parents. “so do your parents still live?” Celestia's father asked. Celestia retained her smile. “They do...but they are somewhere in the heavens, I rule the sun and my sister Rules the moon...but our parents rule everything else.” Celestia said. Twilight smiled, that was something she didn't know.
Luna and Fluttershy decided that sense Luna was already out and about after raising the moon she would follow Fluttershy to her parents' home. “So, Dear Fluttershy, where do they live?” Luna asked as they flew. “In between Canterlot and Ponyville...they run an Animal sanctuary...they used to be funded by Canterlot but ponies stopped buying pets so they made it their home...um...they aren't my real parents though...they found me when I was very little. They are Earth ponies and they were very nice to raise me. They put me in Cloudsdale when I was old enough and I haven't seen much of them since.” Fluttershy said, she was able to talk better around Luna now. “Are they why you started your home as a Sanctuary?” Luna asked. “I always wanted to start one after I was in cloudsdale...but it wasn't until my Cutie mark came in that I finally found my love for animals.” she said. “I see, is that it right there?” Luna asked, noticing a large tree like building with lights on. Fluttershy nodded. They swooped down and a few nocturnal animals came up to them, they recognized Fluttershy's scent and cuddled up to her. “Hello everybody, sorry I haven't visited sooner.” Fluttershy said. “Hoo?” Midnight called. The other animals started calling to her, and she called back in a sort of conversation. “Oh the Night animals found something new.” a voice came form the house, it was Feminine. “Well let's go see what it is Dear.” a Stallion's voice came. They were both light but not as much as Fluttershy.
“Hoo?” “Oh it's an owl...we haven't seen one of those in a long while.” the Feminine voice called as they turned the corner. The two froze when they saw Luna with the owl and a few others of the Nocturnal animals, but were even more surprised by Fluttershy doing it with her. “Fluttershy? Princess Luna?” they both said in unison. They both feinted. “I g-guess it has been a while...” Fluttershy said. Luna used her magic to bring the two into the house to lay on the couch. A few minutes later they awoke and almost feinted again, but managed to keep conscious. “Fluttershy dear! It is so good to see you again! You have grown.” the Mare said. Fluttershy nodded and hugged the two of them. “W-What are you doing here your majesty?” the Mare asked. Luna smiled. “I remember the two of you...you saved Midnight...Kind night and Kind day.” she said to the blue stallion and yellow Mare. “Oh! The Princess remembers us...” Day said. “S-so...uh...is something wrong with Midnight?” Night asked. “Not at all, Fluttershy had something we want to tell you.” Luna said.
“Um...me and...um...the princess are um...Dating...” Fluttershy said. The surprise was so great the two couldn't even feint. They just sat there in awe. “O-O-O-Our Adopted D-Daughter...is d-dating the Princess of the n-night?” they asked in unison. They nodded. Trying to diffuse the situation, Luna spoke. “So...um...I was wondering how you found dear Fluttershy.” Luna asked. Night and Day managed to snap out of their shock to answer. “Well...We don't know what happened to her birth parents...one of our birds started freaking out so we went to investigate, and there she was...sleeping so peacefully no older than a year...her first word was 'Fluttershy' so that's what we called her and she responded...” Night said. “It was the happiest day of our lives, I can't have a foal myself...so it was a blessing...now she's all grown up...and dating the princess of the night...we are so proud of you Fluttershy.” Day continued and they hugged Fluttershy again. “Well I promise to you I will not let any harm come to her if I can help it, and she will be treated fairly.” Luna said with a smile. “Thank you so much princess...that's all we ask and to keep her happy.” they said, bowing. “I will do the best I can to make that happen.” Luna said with a smile.
