Welcome to my World - Chapter 1 : Life
By Maxis122

The universe is a mysterious place that still cannot be explained. Many have tried in the past but have only been able to make theories. These theories have, in time, been handed down and changed until they have been accepted as truth among everybody. There only needs to a single piece of evidence for a theory to be stopped and forgotten. That is why when someone says to you that the universe is expanding, you would probably agree with them.

Thanks to science we now all believe pretty much anything that they say. But people only need something out of the ordinary to change their mind. Such a thing could be a message, a meteor or even another person.

We all have our different views of the universe and that is something that will never change.

-------------

It was a cold day in winter when Max was walking home from his work. His feet were cold and the snow was getting inside of his shoes. Each step made a crunch sound as the snow was compressed below Max’s foot. It was meant to be like any other day as nothing special was going on. The world was still in conflict but this never affected Max.

His life was quite as he liked to keep things to himself. He had a couple of friends but most of the time these friends were never seen by him. He was nearing his house that was another hundred meters away. Everything was still and quite around him.

The work Max did was a simple work at a game retail shop. Day in, day out people would come and buy their goods and leave. The only conversation Max would have is him saying "Would you like a used copy instead? It's cheaper". Max felt cheap when he was trying to do this. Only the dumb ones would follow Max's advice, others would just shake their head and leave.

Max stopped for a moment to let his feet rest. He looked around at the street that he lived on. Every house was being boarded up and many of the people were moving out. He was one of the last people there and soon the land was going to be turned into a new business park.

Max watched the still trees and then began to walk again. The crunching sound was back again. All of a sudden a rustle sound came from the tree above. Max glanced at the tree but then looked away as he thought it was just a bird. The rustle sound continued for a few more seconds until a flapping sound happened. This was probably the bird so Max continued walking.

Then he heard something landing on the roof of the house to his left. He glanced at this house and dismissed it. It was only a blue blob. Max then stopped in his tracks as he just processed what he had saw. He looked to the house again and there was nothing there. This house was boarded off but the door was open.

Max stared at this door for a few moments. Part of him wanted to go inside but the other part said otherwise. He shook his head and then began to walk again. It was only nothing he thought. He only took a few steps before a tile from the top of the house smashed on the ground. Max recoiled and looked behind him.

He looked around the house and there was still nothing there. He walked back over to the house and looked to where the tile had landed. He then looked up and there was the clouded sky above. He then looked inside the building and stared at the darkness inside.

Confusion and doubt was running through his head. Should he go in the house? He took a step back and examined the door to the house. He reached into his pocket and brought out his phone. He turned it on and waited for it to load. He looked up again at the house and there was nothing other than the boards that intimidated him.

His phone was loaded and Max quickly enabled the flashlight application on it. The screen went into a strong white and began to light up. Max pointed it at the house and then took a deep breath. He took a few steps towards the house and put his hand on the door. He pushed the door open and looked inside.

There was nothing inside the house; there were just the plain walls and the power plugs on the walls. Max looked left and right but there was nothing there. He then turned his attention to the stairs. They were brittle and broken up. It looked like a carpet had been ripped off of it. Other than that they looked pretty stable.

Max looked up the stairs and then all of a sudden the blue blob quickly moved away from the top. What was this thing that Max was chasing? He was still and couldn’t move. He wanted to get out but his curiosity was getting the better of him. There were sounds of movement from upstairs. Max then moved his foot forward and began to move.

He got to the stairs and he slowly began to move up them. Each step caused a creek in the wood and this was just making things even worse. The destination was getting closer but he was still unsure of what he was getting himself into. The sounds of movement stopped when he got to the top and he looked to where the blob went to.

There was only one door open when he looked down the hallway. Max approached this door and looked inside. The room only had a few boxes inside. Max shined the light over the room before he heard a thud from behind him. A jolt of fear shot through him and he looked around to see something blue running around.

Max let out a shout of fear before running down the stairs and running out of the house. He made a sharp turn left and ran towards his house. He searched his pockets and struggled to find his keys. They were in his hands but through his fear his hands were not responding to his commands. The key was then in his hand and he shoved it into the lock.

His breathing was becoming faster and heavier as he turned the key to his house. The door unlocked and he forced himself inside. He locked the door and ran up the stairs to his bedroom. He jumped onto his bed and pulled the covers over him. His eyes shifted as he looked at the cover and tried to think about what had happened.

He then pulled the cover off his head and he got out of bed. The room was silent and so was the street. Max opened the window and looked outside. The street was empty. He then though back again. The blue blob; what was it? For now Max could only use logic to deduce that it was a bird or a cat. But then again it was too big to be a normal animal. So what it was is now a mystery.

Welcome to my World - Chapter 2 : Discovery
By Maxis122

The internet had a thing going on about this new show. It had caught on to an audience that the creators would have never of guessed. A show called My Little Pony Friendship is Magic had appeared and many started to watch it. This was a year ago and now the series was half way through the second instalment.

Max got interested and began to watch this series. He observed as the characters moved around a care free world and had a great time. The development of the characters and the animation had caught Max’s attention. Before he knew it he was watching episode after episode. Then he ran out of episodes to watch.

The feeling left him and he was soon back into the same routine as before. Work, eat, sleep, get up, eat and repeat. Luckily he got a promotion, so now he got paid more than before. Even though he was still at the till, he now had something more to work towards.

Another day ended and Max was walking home again. It was dark so he couldn’t see very much. The snow was still around but this time there was a lot more ice. Because of this Max took a lot more time walking home. This time was used by Max to think of his life so far. It was then when Max remembered that event in the house. What had happened there that night?

The thought drifted about Max’s head as he tried to think. A blue blob... Nothing that he knew about in this world was blue and big. It could have been just him, because you can oversee things when you are scared. So maybe he saw a bird and though it was really big. And as the house was abandoned it could have gotten in there without any trouble.

Max watched the floor move below him until all of a sudden he saw a smashed tile on the floor. He stopped and then looked to the left to see the house again. It stood still and now had the door boarded up. Max looked at all of the windows and there was nothing in them. There was no longer that feeling of fear about the building but Max still couldn’t think.

Max turned away from the house and started to move again. His house was coming in view now and his feet were getting cold. He just wanted to be in his house where it was warm. The trees behind him moved and a few leaves detached themselves. But Max didn’t look back as he was very sure that it was just a bird.

The door to his house was now in front of him so he pulled his keys out of his pocket and inserted the correct key into the lock. Before he turned the key he looked behind him. There was that feeling that someone was following him. He walked away from his door and looked down the street. There was no one there as the only other person to live on this street was at the other end.

It was a strange emptiness that engulfed Max as he looked around the street. He turned back to his house and grabbed the key again. Then a tile from his roof fell next to him and smashed on the pavement. Max then looked up sharply to see something try to get back. Max walked back and he pulled the key out of the door.

Whatever this thing was he couldn’t see it very well because of the darkness. It then jumped over to the next building and started to run away. Max then started to chase it. He didn’t know why but this might be the thing that he encountered before.

This thing then jumped off the roof and flew in the air for a bit. Then it took a sharp turn left into a storage facility. Max got to the gate and stopped at the sign that had a trespasser warning. Max dismissed this and vaulted over it. The thing then entered the storage facility and disappeared. There was only one way in and out of that place so Max had it cornered.

Max came to the entrance and looked around at all the containers. Each container had a company logo and a clipboard attached to it. Max walked in and then began to look around. It was quiet, too quiet. There were no workers around and the security was not here. That was odd as when Max looked at one of the container’s clipboards it said very valuable.

Max put the clipboard back and looked above. There was a ladder hanging and it seemed to go to a higher platform. This platform would give Max a better view. So he backed up and took a few seconds. Then he ran and jumped. He just caught the bottom of the ladder and he swung a bit. He then proceeded to climb up this ladder and eventually get a better look at this place.

It wasn’t a really big place but for its size it had a lot in here. The place was still very dark and this gave Max little to look at. Max looked around the platform and found a big flashlight. He picked it up and examined it for a bit. A flick of the switch caused it to flicker to life. Max then shined it around the room.

There was still nothing but containers in sight. Max continued to look around the place. There was then a flutter of wings and Max turned his attention to the higher areas. It was only a pack of birds sitting up there. Max took a breather before putting the flashlight down and climbing back down the ladder.

When he got down he then walked back towards the exit. Maybe the thing had escaped while he was looking around. Anyway it was not there so there was no reason for Max to be there. But then something shouted and Max shot around to see that thing fly towards the window. Max wanted to shout but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

His chance was going as this thing pushed the window to try and open it. Then Max opened his mouth and tried to make words come out. Whatever this was it was trying to escape. It was all riding on this. So Max cleared his throat and spoke.

“H-hello?” Max said. The thing then looked down and Max and realised his presence. It took a second before then going back to opening the window. Then it opened it and got ready to escape. As it flew out of the window Max called out and shouted “H-hey wait!”

The eco went across the room and silence fell. Max lowered his hopes and head as he had lost his opportunity. He looked to the window again and tried to remember what had happened. What was that thing? Max then walked outside to come into the light at the entrance of the facility. It was quiet and Max stopped to extend this moment of silence.

Then the sound of something flying could be heard again. Then something landed in front of Max, a couple of meters away. Max looked ahead and stared into the darkness. This thing was now could be seen a lot clearer. Max tried to see what it was but when he made the deduction his mind wouldn’t accept it. Could it be?

Max rubbed his eyes and looked at the shape in the shadows. If this is what he thought it was then the world is nothing like it should be. The shape moved towards Max and began to come into the light. Then a shout from someone caused the shape to flinch and Max to look away. After looking and seeing some men running in his direction, he turned back to see the thing had gone.

Max needed to get out or he would be in so much trouble. So then Max ran into the darkness and jumped onto the floor. He backed up under a truck and watched as the men ran into the building. Max looked back towards the entrance and kept on switching back to see the building entrance. All the men were now inside so Max stumbled onto his feet and ran for the entrance and didn’t look back.

He was back onto the street and Max took a hard right so now he was back on track to his house. His house came into view and Max searched his pocket for his keys. He searched and searched but they were not there. The only thing that Max could think is “shit”. Max looked back to the place where he had come from and sighed with regret.

His heart was racing and he was tired. He looked down at his watch and saw the time was 11:45. So he ran back to the entrance and looked at the building. The men were still inside so Max had some time to get his keys back. He crept over to the truck and crawled under it.

Within a minute he found his keys but when he looked back to the building the men began to come out. One of them looked over to the truck that he was hiding under. He froze as he watched the man scan the truck and then approach it. Was this it? His first criminal act, could it be?

The man was now right in front of the truck and he looked inside the cab. Then he opened the door to the truck and he got inside. Then the engine roared to life and the other vehicles began to move. Max started swearing under his breath and he crawled backwards.

Then the truck began to move and it was turning at the same time. The wheel was coming towards Max and he couldn’t get out of the way. The noise of the engine covered Max’s voice so the driver couldn’t hear Max as he shouted. First a possible criminal act, then death? Max was lucky as the truck had stopped to let the other vans and cars get out.

Then the truck slowly began to move and the wheel came closer to Max. Then all of a sudden Max felt something grab his leg and drag him from under the truck. The wheel just missed him and he was alive. The truck moved away and Max was left there on the ground. He was in shock and tears were in his eyes. But he was alive.

Max turned onto his back and looked to his feet and there was nothing there. Whoever, or whatever saved him had gone and he was once again alone. Max put his hands to his face and continued to hyperventilate.

He then released his hands from his head and regained control of himself. He got back to his feet and looked around at the immediate area. What had happened to him was a mystery but he was grateful for whatever saved him.

“Thank you” he said before he began to walk back to his house. When he got back he went inside his house and went up the stairs. He kicked his shoes off as he ascended and he took his coat off. When he entered his bedroom he threw his coat onto the bed and he sat on it.

He then stared into nothing and tried to think about what had just happened. Had he encounter a new species? Was there a military experiment on the loose? Whatever was going on Max was sure that he was now a part of it. Whether he liked it or not he was becoming part of something big. Max then looked to his window and stared into the darkness.

He then stood up and walked over to his laptop and turned it on. He sat on the chair and watched the windows logo appear on the screen. His eyes were becoming heavy but he wanted to know something. When the computer had loaded he quickly opened the web browser and clicked on the news icon. Within a second the news page opened and Max examined it.

There was nothing really important going on. Then again if this were a military thing then they would be quiet about it. Max searched down the page and looked at all the news that had been posted in his area. But there was nothing about a creature or anything strange on the news. Max rubbed his face and sighed. He then turned the laptop off and he threw himself onto the bed.

He looked at the roof of his white room and slowly he closed his eyes. The thoughts of what had happened couldn’t escape his head. He couldn’t just drift off like he would normally. His head was buzzing and his ears began to ring. He sat up again and let his head rest in his hands. After a few seconds of this he went down stairs and put the kettle on. He got a mug out and placed a tea bag inside of it. Tea, the ultimate stress reliever.

The kettle clicked and hot steam rose from the kettle. Max grabbed it and poured some water into the mug. He stirred the tea and then fished the teabag out. After putting some milk in he walked over to the window and took a sip. The darkness in front of him was large. It had little to offer but Max continued to stare into it.

He closed his eyes and took another sip of his tea. His mind was coming back to him and he opened his eyes. He looked into the darkness again to see a disturbance. Blinking to get his vision clear he tried to think again. It was that thing again and it was meters from his window. It was standing on the grass and looking at him.

Max was frozen once again and had no idea what to do. It had found him but why was it here. Max put the mug on the unit and walked over to the back door. He turned the key and looked into the darkness. This thing began to move towards him. Max could only watch as it slowly moved towards him and the light began to fall on this thing. Max’s pupils shrunk and his breath tensed.

He tried to convince himself that he wasn’t seeing what he was seeing. It failed to work because he knew he wasn’t sleeping. He pinched himself and felt the pain. This was as real as anything would ever get. He couldn’t say anything, all he could do was watch and think.

This thing then gained colour as the light from Max’s kitchen shined onto it. But there wasn’t just one colour, there were seven. Before Max knew it a full creature that Max had never expected to see had come into view. Could it be? Now Max had no other choice but to accept what he saw.

Stood before him was Rainbow Dash and she was breathing heavily. Max just stood in his kitchen and looked at this pony. She returned the look and then began to back away. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Max. He wasn’t going to let it just back away.

“No wait!” Max called out. Rainbow Dash stopped and looked at Max. She was frozen, and her ears were propped up. Max now had her attention but what should he say. “You can come in” he then said. Rainbow then looked down for a moment and then looked back up. She slowly approached the house and soon came to the door.

Max backed away and continued to watch her. She came to the door and then examined it. Then she walked in and looked around at her new surroundings. Max couldn’t let his eyes leave her. She was real, but how? He had now disregarded his doubt and now understood what was going on. Rainbow Dash had somehow been teleported from her world to here.

She then cleared her throat but it was dry so she coughed when she tried to talk. Max saw that she needed help so he quickly got a bowl and filled it with water. Then he placed it on the ground and slid it towards her. She recoiled a bit and looked at Max.

“Don’t worry, it’s just water” Max said as he let out a warm smile. She hesitated at first but after she licked the water she then sat down and picked the bowl up. Lifting it to her mouth she began to drink the water and soon it was all gone. After this she placed the bowl back on the ground and then she looked over at Max and tilted her head.

Max then thought if she hadn’t drank any water then she might be hungry as well. So he got up and opened the fridge. He pulled out a carrot and turn back to Rainbow Dash. Max sat on the ground and then shuffled towards her. She just continued to stare at him. Max then held the carrot out and watched Rainbow Dash.

“You can have it, go on” he said. Rainbow then reached out her hoof and grabbed the carrot. She then pulled it towards herself and all this time she watched Max. She then looked at the food in her hoof. Then she placed it in her mouth and bit. Then she munched on the carrot and Max watched. Soon she had eaten the whole carrot.

“Do you want another?” Max asked as he watched Rainbow Dash. Rainbow then looked at Max and nodded her head. Max once again went into the fridge and got another carrot out. He offered it to Rainbow and this time it she took it a lot more quickly. She munched on this carrot as well and then after this she shivered. Max still hadn’t closed the door so the cold air was still coming in.

Max got up and slowly went around Rainbow Dash; she backed away from him as he went around her. He then closed the door and turned to see Rainbow was still watching him. She had huddled up into a little ball but she left her head out so she could see Max.

The connection between the two was very shallow. Max and Rainbow Dash were both scared and puzzled about what was going on. Max knelt down and slowly moved towards Rainbow. She lay still but kept her eyes on Max. Then Max put a hand out and flattened it. Rainbow curled up a little more and her pupils got smaller. Max pulled his hand back a bit, then he closed his eyes and out his hand out again.

He left it there and he turned his head away. Then something soft touched his hand. He opened his eyes to see Rainbow Dash there with her head on Max’s hand. Her eyes were closed and she was resting her head. Max’s heart exploded in joy. He had befriended a pony from a different universe.

She spent a few seconds in Max’s hand before she released her head and looked at Max again. She opened her eyes and smiled. Max couldn’t help but smile back as he was overjoyed, though he didn’t show all of this new energy. What to do next was running through Max’s mind.

“Can you speak?” Max asked. Rainbows smile disappeared and then she coughed a little more to clear her throat. Then she looked back at Max and opened her mouth.

“Yes I can” she spoke with her soft voice. Wow, she could speak, so that means that science has got some problems already. Max put his hand on the back of his neck and then rubbed his left eye.

“How did you get to my world?” He asked. Rainbow then fell into a long silence and she let her head drop. Max got the hint that she didn’t know so he decided to change the subject. “Is there anything wrong?” Max asked. It was becoming more evident that Max hadn’t had a proper social life in a long time. But Rainbow then lifted her head and looked into Max’s eyes and spoke.

“There is something very wrong, you see. There are creatures like you who are chasing me” Rainbow Dash said. Max then thought about this for a moment, humans chasing ponies. Now things were getting weird. Then Max had a brain wave.

“Were they the people at that place an hour ago?” Max asked thinking about who it could be. She thought for a moment and then shook her head. Nope, meaning these people could be anybody.

“Are you one of those bad creatures?” Rainbow asked.

“Don’t worry, I’m not a bad creature” Max replied. She then suddenly had her ears prick up. Max looked out the front window and some lights flashed past them. He narrowed his eyes to determine what they could be. He got up and opened the back door, then he turned to Rainbow Dash and said “If you hear me say ‘I think you’re mistaken’, then fly away”.

“Why?” Rainbow asked, she tilted her head and grabbed Max’s foot. Max then had to think what he should say.

“There might be those bad creatures outside” Max said and she then recoiled. Then she got up and moved towards the back door. She turned to see Max again and then Max went to the front door. Then a sudden knocking began on the door. Max waited a few seconds and then he opened the door.

There was a man in a black suit there and he stared into the eyes of Max. He had an intimidating look on him that caused Max to want to run away. Then man looked past Max for a second and then began his speech.

“I’m sorry son, but you may have been the victim of a sewage spill” the man began. Max froze for a moment and then looked down to the ground. “If I recall correctly you went to the storage facility and there was a container with a leek. Everything abnormal you have seen is just your imagination. Try to get some sleep if you can” the man explained. Max became frozen in thought, had Rainbow Dash been a hallucination?

“Thank you” Max said and the man smiled, then he went back into his car. Max closed the door and walked back inside. He looked to the floor and saw a bit of a carrot left and a spill of water on the floor. Could it have just been a hallucination? Wait, Max then though way back, she has to be real. It started before he came in contact with the substance.

Max walked back into the kitchen and there was Rainbow Dash, sitting there. Max smiled and said “Come on; let’s get you somewhere to sleep.” Max then walked up the stairs of his house and Rainbow Dash followed him. He got some spare covers from a box and put them on the ground. Rainbow got on these and lied down. Max then put a cover over her and she fidgeted a bit, but then she settled down. Max then got into his bed and looked back to the roof.

This had been a big day, but whether he was hallucinating or not was tomorrow’s question.

Welcome to my World - Chapter 1 : Life
By Maxis122

I.........I.........ITS COMING..........HELP HELP.................ARRRRR..............ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!

Max shot awake; his nightmare had made him begin to cry. He looked outside and saw the sun had reached mid way up the sky. Lucky for him he had the weekends off so this wasn’t a problem. He wiped his face with his hands and then began to remember the previous night. It was clouded but there was something that he needed to confirm. Max got out of his bed and looked to the front of his bed. There were the covers from last night.

Max walked over to them and they were empty. When Max looked closer there was a cyan blue feather on the bedding. He then looked to the door that had been opened, somehow. Max walked out of this door and walked down the stairs. Down stairs there was no sound, just silence. When Max arrived downstairs he saw Rainbow Dash there with a book from his shelf. Max didn’t know what book it was but when he thought about it she does read in the series.

She looked up and when she acknowledged Max’s presence she smiled. “Good morning” she said and then she went back into the book. Max watched her and then knew that this wasn’t a hallucination. It was too real to be false. Plus those men were unusual to be in black suits and come with a battalion just to tell Max about something. Anyway who transports sewage in cargo containers anyway?

“So what do you eat, except for carrots” Max asked, because if she was staying then he would need to get her some more food. She looked at him and thought for a moment. Then she put a hoof to her head and continued to think.

“I eat hay, cake, vegetables. It’s kind of hard to name all of it” Rainbow Dash said. Max then began to think about where he could get hay. He knew about where to get cake, the humble supermarket. Maybe there was hay there too. Max went to the window and shut the blinds. He didn’t want those men coming by his window and seeing Rainbow Dash. He turned back to Rainbow Dash and he said “I will leave the back door unlocked so you can go outside.”

“Ok” Rainbow Dash simply said and then she continued to read the book that she had. Max then went and unlocked the back door. After this he put his shoes on and he grabbed his coat. He then opened the door and walked outside, locking the door when he was out. He walked down the pavement and looked back to see Rainbow Dash then fly off into the sky.

Max eventually got to the super market and looked down each section in search of hay. Soon he came to the animal section and there was a bag of it. So Max picked this up and put it in his basket. Then he went to the vegetable section and began to pick some vegetables. Then all of a sudden a hand placed itself on Max’s shoulder and Max recoiled. Looking up there was the man from the previous night.

“You ok son, you not experiencing any problems since last night” the man said as he examined Max’s eyes. Max was becoming suspicious of this man so it was time to bend the rules a bit.

“I’m fine, nothing has gone wrong since we met” Max said. The man then flicked a mini torch into his hand and scanned it in Max’s eyes.

“You’re not experiencing any hallucinations or sick symptoms are you?” the man continued. His voice was slightly droned but sometimes had a bit more effort put into the main parts of his sentences. Max took a few steps back and then blinked to regain his vision.

“No, I’m fine. What’s your problem?” Max was becoming annoyed and his eye was stinging.

“Why vegetables and hay, you don’t own an animal” the man said. This ticked into Max’s mind. ‘You don’t own an animal’, he would have to know Max to know that. Max then started to walk away. The man then smirked to himself and watched Max walk away. Then the man pulled a phone out of his pocket and clicked a button. “It’s him, mission extraction is a go” he spoke and then he put the phone back into his pocket and he walked away.

Max had now paid for the goods and he was walking home. He looked to the sky and thought about it for a bit. Rainbow Dash could be sitting in a cloud just watching him. Then that means that anything could be up there just watching the people on the ground living their normal lives. Plus if you really think about it like that, then it becomes possible.

Max came to the door of his house with a bag in hand. He placed the bag on the floor and he got his keys out of his pocket. He unlocked the door and went inside the house. After he was in he looked around the immediate area. “Hello?” Max called out. There was no reply. Max then went into the kitchen and placed the bags on the unit.

Once he had done this he went upstairs and turned on his laptop. While it was loading he looked out of the window and watched the clouds. They were puffy and rounded. The shapes that they made gave them unique traits and different to anything else on the planet. Max had life take place on the ground so much he forgot about how the clouds were.

His computer had then loaded and Max clicked on the news. He looked at the local news again and there was still nothing of importance. The world was so blind when something like this happened, but when small thing happens they are all over it. But that’s the world and that’s how it’s going to be for a very long time.

A slight breeze came up the stairs and caught Max. A shiver went down Max’s spine but it was just the wind. Max then pressed the off button to his laptop and he went down the stairs. He got to the bottom and there was Rainbow Dash in the living room. She was a little cold as it was the middle of winter. Max thought it was about time that Rainbow knew his name.

“I don’t think you know my name yet, I’m Max” Max said. Rainbow looked into Max’s eyes and then all of a sudden her stomach rumbled. Max then thought quickly and walked past Rainbow, who now was more comfortable around Max. Max got the hay out of the bag and put some of it on a plate. He then put it in front of Rainbow Dash and watched.

Rainbow Dash looked at the hay for a moment, then she shrugged and took a bit of the hay. She began to crunch away. She didn’t seem to hate the hay but neither did she have any expression to say that it was delicious. But it would have to do for now. Max’s stomach then began to rumble, he hadn’t eaten this morning so it was a good idea to eat something now. He laughed to himself for a moment and then he went into the kitchen.

He looked into the fridge and there was some leftover pasta from a couple of nights ago. He got this out and grabbed a fork from the cabinet. Soon he was eating away at this pasta and it too wasn’t bad, but neither was it especially tasty. But all the same it was energy waiting to be used.

By Maxis122

Rainbow Dash took her time eating the hay, and Max took his time eating his pasta. The minutes started to roll by and nothing really happened. Max thought that maybe he should talk to her a little bit.

“So what’s your name?” Max said, as he didn’t want to seem weird by already knowing her name. She looked over at Max with her big rose red eyes.

“My names Rainbow Dash” Rainbow said. A couple more questions were needed now to keep the conversation going.
“Where did you come from” Max asked. Then Rainbow Dash looked to the ceiling. A tear left her eye but she was quick to wipe it away with her tail.

“I came from Equestria, it’s a land in another universe” she said.

“How did you get here then?” Max was now onto the question that even he didn’t have an answer for. She thought to herself for a moment and chuckled.

“I think my friend Twilight botched up another spell” Rainbow said. She then fell silent and let her head drop. “She said it was just a normal teleport spell...” Rainbow continued before sighing and standing up. Then she went over to the back door and opened it. “I’ll be back later” she said and then she flew off.

Twilight botched up a spell, like that’s never happened before. Max then stood up and looked out of the window. She was gone. He couldn’t blame her though, being in another world with no one that you know with you. Max then sat on his sofa and laid his head back. He stared at the ceiling and then closed his eyes.

Thinking about what has happened over the last few days has just taken his reality and turned it upside down. The fact that Rainbow Dash even exist is impossible to this world. But if she is real then how does the show exist. Maybe the universe is trying to tell everyone something.

Max began to daze off and a couple of hours went by. The dream that began to happen was the same as last night. There was fire, screaming and death. Why was this happening? When Max tried to run away the evil kept on chasing him.

All this was happening so fast, but at the same time so slowly. Max only needed to wake up to once again see the world he was in. He looked to the back door that was still shut and darkness was falling. Max got up and wiped his face with his hands. It was a whole day of just thinking and sleeping. But that nightmare just kept on happening, ever since all of this began.

A sign for the future, Max didn’t believe that dreams or nightmares could do that. But if things from other universes could come here then the possibilities of a dream coming true could be likely as well. Max approached the front door and was about to turn left to go up the stairs. Then a knocking began.

Max turned to open the door and there was the man again, but this time there were loads of men. Each in a black suit and all but the main guy were wearing black sunglasses. Max glanced at one of the men for a moment and under their blazer there was a 9mm Glock pistol. They mean business.

“Hello son, remember me?” said the main man. Max froze, what was going to happen? “You have been reported by our other agents that you have been taking care of a UBLF, is this correct?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about, and what’s a ULF?” Max said sternly but was still a little dazed by what was going on.

“UBLF, Unidentified Biological Life Form. And you know very well what we are talking about, Max” the man said. Max then lost his breath when a man he had met twice knew his name already. The government nowadays, giving info to any random organisation they find. Then some men pushed past Max and started to examine the house.

“HEY, what are you doing?” Max shouted as the men just invited themselves in. But the main guy kept him from leaving.
“We are cheeking if you are telling the truth” said the man. This man then put his hands in his pockets spreading out his blazer. Now his handgun could be seen clearly, it was a berretta 9mm silenced. Max gulped as things were looking worse and worse.

“Nothing here Blackburn” shouted a man from inside the house. Blackburn, the guy in charge, frowned and then looked back to Max. He narrowed his eyes and after a few seconds he looked back inside the house.

“Alright, let’s go. You get in” Blackburn said. Max hesitated but another man from behind pushed him out of his house. Soon he was moving towards what seemed to be his death bed. He looked up to the roof opposite and peeking out of the top was an outline of somepony. Maybe it was Rainbow Dash but there was nothing she could do now. Max was then pushed into the middle of a big, black hummer. A man sat either side of him and then Blackburn was opposite.

The car began to move and everyone was silent. Then all of a sudden Blackburn opened his mouth to talk. “You know much about the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Series, became popular among the male adult audience. They call themselves...” Blackburn said before stopping and looking up at Max. “...Bronys. So, what’s your favourite character?” Blackburn suddenly changed from being serious to being more social.

“I don’t have a favourite” Max said. Blackburn laughed to himself for a moment and then went back to full serious. Funny how this man can change an environment so quickly with just his tone of voice.

“You know what we want to know and you are going to tell us” Blackburn said.

“I don’t think so, Blackburn” Max said with his voice starting to mimic the tone of Blackburn. Blackburn sighed and then pulled out his pistol. He aimed it right between Max’s eyes and sweat started to form. Max was now in a state of panic and he had no idea what to do.

“I think so, have I got your attention?” Blackburn said, this was becoming more dangerous every second. The car began to pass over a bridge and ahead where some helicopters hovering above the ground. The bridge was closed off so the roads were empty. Max turned his attention back to Blackburn and the pistol. Then Max put his clever mind in state and began to talk.

“I know that you aren’t going to shoot me because you need to know what I know” Max said as a small smug look appeared on his face. Blackburn was becoming tired of this so he aimed the pistol at Max’s shoulder.

“This any better?” Blackburn asked. Max hope was now leaving him as he was now in the position to have pain inflicted on him. Max looked up and saw the black sky above. Then he looked down again to see a great light appearing ahead. The helicopters withdrew but Blackburn was still looking at Max. “Alright, I’ve had enough, IT’S TIME TO TALK!” Blackburn’s voice became louder as the sentence went on.

Then a blast of energy went over the road and under the wheels of the cars. Each vehicle began to lose control and everyone was being thrown around. A car in front suddenly tipped and started to roll across the bridge. Max saw his chance so he grabbed the pistol that was still in Blackburn’s hand and he shot three bullets into the left window.

The glass cracked from the impact of the bullets and the car was still spinning around. Max then pulled the trigger another time and the glass then chipped away. The gun and Blackburn could still kill so Max pulled the gun from Blackburn’s hand and he threw it at the window. With great speed the gun hit the window and the window smashed.

Max then threw himself out of the window and he landed on the road, rolling a couple of times. After he came to a stop another car nearly hit his head. He then scrambled onto his feet to see the cars finally come to a stop ahead. It looked like there was only one way out. Over the side of the bridge.

When Max looked to the side there was a river below to land in. Max was hesitant to run but then when he heard some shouting, he turned to see the front van unload a arsenal of special ops troops. They began to line up and point their M416’s in Max’s direction. It was now or never. So Max began to run.

Each step was a possible step into death as bullets started to impact near Max. But in a few seconds he was off the side and he began to fall through the air. He began to pick up speed until he began to move forward. Something had grabbed him from behind and was flying away with him. He looked up to see Rainbow Dash carrying him.

She was beginning to struggle as Max was a person, but she was able to get Max near to the side of the river bank. Rainbow Dash then gasped and stopped flapping her wings. They both then landed on the bank and Max looked to Rainbow Dash to see a tranquiliser dart had been shot into her. She then fell to the ground and started to loose focus.

“Come on Rainbow Dash, stay with me” Max shouted as she then lost consciousness. Max then looked above to see a helicopter fly overhead. There was nothing left that Max could do. All was lost to these men. Max looked to the bridge to see another helicopter spotlighting something on the bridge.

Men and helicopters then surrounded Max and Rainbow Dash. They all had their weapons pointing at Max.

“Move away from the UBLF, now” shouted the helicopter pilot. Max stayed there and was frozen. He just looked down at the pony below him. How did it all come to this? A sudden force threw Max on the ground and a man had tackled him down. Max didn’t resist because there wasn’t much he could do.

Max was then handcuffed and brought to his feet. Rainbow Dash was placed on a movement tray and then moved into a van. Lights were everywhere so Max had his vision dazed by all of this. Blackburn was standing their smirking at Max with a demonic tone.

“You should have co-operated when we told you to. Put him in the van with the other two” Blackburn said. Then Max was dragged over to the large van and pushed into it. Blackburn signalled to the group to fall back. Then the doors closed. In front of Max was Rainbow Dash, still unconscious, and to Max’s right was a purple unicorn. Could it be?

It was true; Twilight had been captured as well but she too was unconscious. In the van there were also two guards with G36’s sitting at the front. The van then began to move and everything inside the van was silent. There was no sound and there was no talking. There were just two men with guns who made socialising impossible. Then again Max was filled too much anger to talk to these people.

Max had no idea where they were going. His life was taking a dip and there was nothing he could do without being shot. Why did they need him now? They have what they came for, so now they must be tying up loose ends. The thought of this just made Max panic in his head. Sweat appeared from his head and he looked away from the armed men. What was going to happen to the ponies and to him?

Welcome to my World - Chapter 8 : Turnabout
By Maxis122

The journey seemed to last forever. There was no one, or no pony for that matter that Max could talk to. If Max even raised his hand it was more than likely that one of those men would gun him down. Max just wanted this all to stop, why couldn’t he just have a nice time with these ponies. But these special agents had to butt in and ruin everything.

All of a sudden the convoy stopped and some voices could be heard from the front. Then the convoy moved again and everything turned back to normal. The men at the front then got a radio call saying that they had arrived. The man to the right said “Roger” to show that everything was fine.

The van they were in then came to a stop and outside footsteps could be heard. The men at the back then walked forward and opened the door. One of them crouched next to Twilight and whispered something in her ear. Then he got up and moved out of the van. Max then turned his attention to the outside of the van.

There was Blackburn and many other people dressed in suits. But then there was military as well, and there were people dressed casually. No one was pointing guns at Max and everyone was now relaxed. Max stepped out of the van and looked around confused.

“Confusing, isn’t it” Blackburn said as a smile grew on his face. Then some laughter broke out and Max was the only one not let in on the joke.

“What the hell is going on?”Max asked as his tone became impatient. Blackburn approached Max and put his hand on Max’s shoulder.

“I think your pony friends can explain that” Blackburn said. Twilight then walked past Max and stood there in front of him. She acted like nothing was wrong. But when Max looked back in the van Rainbow Dash was still asleep.

“You’re name is Max right?” Twilight asked. Max nodded and then let her continue. “I recently cast a spell that I thought would teleport me and Rainbow Dash to another place. Thing is though, when I cast the spell I got one part wrong. So instead of a simple teleport, I ended up sending us to an entirely different universe” Twilight explained.

Max was still trying to get his head around what was going on. He then remembered what he saw in the van.

“Didn’t you just get caught though?” asked Max as she had been tranquillised. She chuckled for a little and then looked to the solders.

“It was all to get Rainbow Dash to come out. And because we needed to convince the bad people that we ponies weren’t working with the humans.”

Then a familiar voice could be heard from behind. Looking back, Max could see Rainbow Dash waking up. First she was confused, then she was upset and then she went bonkers. She then attempted to lash out but luckily she had been chained down before.

“Calm down Rainbow Dash, it’s ok, they are on our side” Twilight said but Rainbow Dash was still rather upset. She then laid her eyes on Max and she began to relax. Max then approached her and he got in the van. Everyone was tensed and a lot of the solders had their tranquilisers ready. Max grabbed the lock and then looked into Rainbow Dashes eyes.

“It’s going to be ok; I think we can trust them” Max said. Then he pulled the lock and Rainbow Dash was free. She then hopped out of the van and walked over to Twilight. Max got out and looked to the people, Blackburn was especially impressed.

“See what I told you, bringing the guy was a good idea” Blackburn said as he looked to the rest of the team. Max then approached Blackburn and for the first time he felt respect for this man. “Come with me, we have some things you need to know” Blackburn said as he turned around and began to walk.

Max looked to Rainbow Dash and then they both began to follow Blackburn. The facility was in a warehouse, it had little to show but when Max glanced outside he could only see countryside. This meant that they were rather remote, so there wouldn’t be other people around. Soon they were lead into a room with a map.

“Please be seated” Blackburn said as he turned around. Max sat on a chair at the front and everyone else sat down. Rainbow Dash sat next to Max on the floor. Blackburn looked around and then began his speech “Today we have located Rainbow Dash so we can now begin the teleportation process to get these ponies back home. Problem is, the Russian government want what we want, the ponies. Some intelligence has told them that Twilights magic could be used as power, but they are misinformed. Now the problem is that they believe if they can’t have the ponies, then no one can” the room then became as silent as could be.

“What would they do if we didn’t give the ponies to them?” Asked Max.

“They are willing to use their new super nuke weapon. They say if we arm nukes, then they will fire” Blackburn said. Then he looked around to see if there were any more questions. After a brief wait he then finished up “Thing is, this is the nuclear weapons firing site, so if someone in here arms a nuke, then we are all dead people walking” Blackburn examined the room to see that his words had sunk in. “You are all dismissed” he said and then everyone began to move out of the room.

“What’s a nuke” asked Rainbow Dash as she was from a peaceful world.

“In our world everything isn’t so peaceful. A nuke is a bomb that can wipe out entire counties” Max said. Rainbow Dash then fell quite and turned to Twilight “When can we go home?”

“Soon, we are getting ready now” replied Twilight. Max watched as the two followed some guards over to a sealed off place. Max then felt that warm hand on his shoulder again as Blackburn stood next to him. Blackburn then pulled a Glock17 out of his pocket and placed it in Max’s hand.

“I think I can trust you with this” Blackburn said. Max looked at the gun for a moment. He had fired Blackburn’s gun but never actually held a gun before.

“Why are you giving this to me?” Max asked. It was unusual for someone that he only met a day ago to be giving him a killing tool. Blackburn then turned so he was face to face with Max.

“Listen, I know that someone in here is working for the Russians” Blackburn stopped and looked around for a moment. “I can trust you, so now your job is to try and stop whoever looks out of place. Can you do that for me?” Blackburn whispered. Max then nodded and Blackburn walked away.

This had turned from bad to good, and then to worse than bad. Someone in here was going to activate a nuke, but Max knew no one and the teleport was going to happen soon. Max put the Glock17 in his pocket and then began to walk towards the teleport room. It seemed like the rest was on him, everybody trusted him. Who would have known that an average working person would one day meet a character from their favourite show and then get put in the middle of a nuclear stalemate.

Welcome to my World- Chapter 9 : Goodbye
By Maxis122

Max was now among the people in the viewing chamber who were watching Twilight getting ready to perform the teleport spell. The atmosphere was tense and Max couldn’t help but keep thinking that someone was getting ready to make a run for the nuclear launch controls. After looking around the room again he looked back down at the chamber again. It was almost time for them to go.

“Max” Blackburn called into the room and Max looked to the door. “It’s time” Max then walked over to the door and followed Blackburn downstairs to the teleport room. There was a feeling of sadness as he descended. It had only been a day but Max just wanted to be with her for longer. He just had to accept that this was how it was meant to be.

They walked in and Rainbow Dash ran up to Max with joy. “I’m going to go home, isn’t that great” she seemed so happy to leave but he couldn’t blame her. All that she has really got from this world is that it is a soulless shithole. But nevertheless the time she spent with Max was probably the best time she had. Max gave her a place to sleep even when he had so little.

Twilight had grown friendships with some of the people and found that the world was a really nice place. Even thought this world was looking bleak and at its end she had only good feeling of this place. Max continued to stay strong as he watched Rainbow Dash walk over to Twilight.

Max then walked up to the two and began to say his goodbye “It’s been a short time for our meeting but I can count it as a good one. It’s nice to know that we are not alone in this universe and I hope our friendship will...” Max then broke off and began to tear up a bit.

“You ok?” Blackburn asked. Max wiped the tears from his face and looked up again. He took a deep breath and sniffed.
“I hope our friendship will last, even when we are worlds apart” Max said. He then knelt down and held out his fist. Rainbow Dash and Twilight then raised theirs and they all put then in the middle. A sign of respect and just ran through everyone as the three joined.

“It doesn’t matter where we are, we will always remember you” Rainbow Dash said. She was keeping all her tears in as she was trying to make an impression. Same old Rainbow Dash there. Max then walked back and watched Rainbow Dash and Twilight move back. This was it, the end of them seeing each other.

Twilight then closed her eyes and Rainbow Dash watched Max for a moment before saying “Goodbye”. Then the air around the room started to pull towards the two ponies as Twilights horn lit up. A purple energy started to channel around the two as the spell gained power. The energy gained speed and Twilight was in total focus.

A brilliant force of energy swept across the room and funnelled around the two ponies. Soon only the white outlines of the ponies could been seen in the area. Then the energy met its full potential and expanded. Then all at once the energy compressed into a single point. Then they were gone.

Max watched as if they were still there, but now they were gone. They were safe. Everyone then began to walk away and go back to the main part of the building. Max stayed for a minute as he just needed a moment to take in all that had happened over the last few days.

This was all as real as it would get, there world was real. Better yet this world would live on as now these ponies didn’t exist anymore, well, at least in this world. Apart from that this had changed Max’s view on the universe all together. Now he had reason to believe that the universe had much more than met the eye.

Max walked back to where all the other people had gone and now it was time to split up. Blackburn nodded to the military and they marched away. He looked to the scientists and the suits. They then all left as well. Max was the only civilian there; Blackburn then approached him and smiled.

“You did good kid” Blackburn said.

“Didn’t really do much” Max said. “You guys did the hard work”.

“If it wasn’t for you then we wouldn’t have gotten Rainbow Dash” said Blackburn as he put on his sunglasses. He stood next to Max for a moment and then looked out of the hanger. “It’s time for us to split and go our separate ways” Blackburn finally said.

“Where are we?” asked Max.

“We are nowhere” Blackburn said as he kept everything confidential even when he was relaxed. A van then approached the two and the back doors opened. Blackburn hopped inside and then turned to Max. “Well, you coming?”

“Going where?” Asked Max.

“Back home for you, another conspiracy for me” Blackburn said. Max then climbed into the van and Blackburn closed the doors. The van began to move, it was the same van from before. Just without guards and ponies.

The journey this time didn’t seem to last as long. It was quite, there was no conversation. Just thinking and memories. They came to the end of the street where Max lived and Blackburn opened the back door.

“Good luck kid” Blackburn said. Max jumped out and the van disappeared into the maze of housing behind. Max looked down this broken street. He began to walk at a moderate pace and the route was the same as before. He was back to normal and nothing was going to be different for the foreseeable future.

Max then came to the house that he had come across before. He looked to it only to remember Rainbow Dash, he didn’t need these feelings. All he needed was to get home. He watched the path move below him. It was then when he came to his house, with the cracked house tile to the right. Max searched his pockets and found his key.

After placing the key into the hole Max was able to push the door open. He looked inside to see nothing of significance. It was just his house. Max then walked up the stairs and threw his coat on the bed. Then he pressed the power button to his laptop and sat down. The loading process was quick and this enabled Max to turn off and relax.

Max then turned on the news and click on his local area. The top news was an event from yesterday where a cyan blue pony was spotted. Max then continued to read as the information became more and more convincing. Max then only needed to back up to see that this was the world news, this was his world.
