Equestria is in danger of a great threat, that lives in the centre of the planet itself, the heroes of Equestria have to band together to stop this menace!
A force from Equestria's past that not even Princess Celestia is aware of has returned and all of Equestria is in danger! A threat from the centre of the planet itself! In order to fight this great danger Twilight Sparkle the Green Lantern of Sector 2812 must join forces with Equestria's heroes to save the day!
The Book of Equestria – a mysterious book that holds all off the secrets of Equestria and is so powerful and secret not even Princess Celestia knows that it exists. Its home is in the library of Zeus himself.
I am one of Zeus’s servants and since i am bored and have nothing better to do I will share one of the stories within it to you mortals, but just don’t tell Zeus that I did so.......
Passage from the Book of Equestria:
A long time before Princess Luna let her jealous turn her into Nightmare Moon.......
Long before Princesses Celestia and Luna were conceived by their parents Lauren and Craig.......
Long before the three tribes united and founded Equestria........
In fact long before the tribes even existed.......
The pony inhabitants were enslaved by a dark warlock centaur by the name of Tirek. He led a fierce army and the inhabitants were terrified of their dark overlord.
Tirek ruled with an iron fist until a group of ponies led by a human girl called Megan (who was transported there from her home on a planet similar to the planet Earth that resides in Sector 2814, what Earth is not the only planet that holds species evolved from primates) who defeated him using the power of the Rainbow of Light. Tirek’s physical form was destroyed and his spirit was sentenced to rot in the dungeons of Tartarus for the whole of eternity.
However after the one known as Megan left the world of ponies forever, the remains of Tirek managed to merge itself with the dark magic of the planet and created a physical entity in the shape of a pony with glowing yellow eyes and seemed to be made of shadows. This entity was dubbed ‘the Pony of Shadows’!
The Pony of Shadows inherited form Tirek the desire to enslave the ponies and rule the world as his own kingdom, after all he was a force of nature and ruling those beneath him was his right.
However a hero with the horn of a unicorn and the wings of a Pegasus stood up to the Pony of Shadows before he could enact his plan. The first alicorn ever born used the Rainbow of Light to banish the Pony of Shadows to the centre of the earth through a hole in what would be known as the Everfree Forest.
In the hole the alicorn planted the Rainbow of Light in the hole to prevent the Pony of Shadows from escaping. The Rainbow of Light grew into the Tree of Harmony and in its branches grew what would be known as the Elements of Harmony which were later found by Princesses Celestia and Luna. Since the Pony of Shadows was defeated by the Alicorn before he could start wreaking havoc, nopony other than the alicorn knew that the Pony of Shadows even existed....
Centurieries after the Pony of Shadows was trapped in the centre of the planet, Princess Celestia after defeating her sister who had became Nightmare Moon, she hid the Elements of Harmony in the castle that had previously belonged to Tirek, hoping they could later be used a thousand years ago by her sister....
However a thousand years ago and her faithful student Twilight Sparkle did not discover the Elements of Harmony and used them with her friends to stop Nightmare Moon and rescue Princess Luna, instead the Green Lantern Ord Mergel came to Equestria only to be killed by Nightmare Moon when he arrived and he passed his ring onto Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle after gaining the ring used it to free Princess Luna and as Green Lantern she became the first superhero of Equestria’s modern age! So yeah Princess Celestia’s plan did not work as she had expected but at least things turned out well...
Not only did Twilight start protecting Equestria as Green Lantern but after that more superheroes began showing up to protect Equestria as well such as Supermare, Mare Do Well (who was already operating at night but still), the Dash, Wonder Mare and the Pink Pie-Er.
However all of the centuries that he had been trapped in the centre of the planet the Pony of Shadows began coming more and more closer to the hole in the ground that the Tree of Harmony was blocking....
I would say that was the ending of the story but that would be a lie.......
....For you see, it was merely the beginning of another story.......
Present Day Planet Oa home of the Guardians of the Universe and the Green Lantern Corps Sector 0000
In her Green Lantern Uniform Twilight Sparkle was in the Citadel of Oa where she was reading the Book of Oa, a book which held stories of the Green Lantern Corps as well as listed their rules. “This is so fantastic!” Twilight yelled in deep excitement as she was reading about the tale of the Green Lantern Mogo and the reason why he doesn’t socialise.
“Twilight Sparkle, Green Lantern of Sector 2812.” Twilight heard a voice and turned around from the podium where the Book layed, to see that one of the Guardians of the Universe (the race of immortals that created and led the Green lantern Corps), Appa Ali Apsa had now entered the room.
“I see that you are immerged in the information that the Book of Oa offers.” said Appa looking at Twilight quite seriously and with a nonchant expressionless face like most of the Guardians, in fact the only Guardian that Twilight had ever seen express any emotion whatsoever was Ganthet the first Guardian she had ever seen or talked to.
“Yes this book is so interest.” Twilight nodded happily at the Guardian “is there a reason why you wanted to see me?”
“Yes there is, Thaal Sinestro Green Lantern of Sector 1417 wants your help in a training exercise” Ganthet explained and Twilight trotted out of the library where the book was kept.
Sinestro was a highly respected member of the Green Lantern Corps known for his touch stance on preserving order and stopping chaos. Twilight had the fortunate of having him as one of her three trainers during her week long training session on Oa and she had recently been on a mission led by him where she said he was one of the best students he ever had in a long time.
Appa before leaving the library noticed that from where the book was open, it was one page turn away from a section of the book that the Guardians deemed forbidden in that they did not want any of their Green Lanterns to learn the secrets of the forbidden chapters.
“Must close this now.....” Appa muttered shutting the book and leaving the library himself.

Back on the planet in Sector 2812 that held the magical land of Equestria,
The dragon known as Garble had managed to sneaky away from his parole officer during community service and was now in hiding in Ponyville, right next to the Everfree Forest specifically. He had finally managed rebuilding Appleloosa from his rampage.
It had all started when he discovered some little bratty baby dragon had gained the power to transform into an alicorn called Captain Alicorn and he had managed to get the stupid baby dragon to unwittingly give his powers to him.
With the powers he became an alicorn called Black Garble and had managed to terrorise Appleloosa and briefly became their dictator. However Captain Alicorn somehow got his powers back and thought him.
He had managed to overpower his rival and was about to defeat him until he was tricked into transforming back into a dragon, he had lost his powers and that led to his arrest.
He had briefly had the power to make his and his father’s dream of a dragon ruled Equestria to life and now he had lost his powers and chance. What he wouldn’t give to have the powers of Black Garble back........
He then noticed a pony that looked like a shadow with bright yellow eyes look at him and then entered the forest. Looking around and making sure nopony was watching, Twilight then entered the forest chasing after the shadowy pony.
*Break*
Back on Oa, Twilight saw Sinestro was talking to a strange ape like creature with a Green Lantern uniform and an eye mask.
“Twilight glad you came, I want your help in showing what a real Green Lantern does in sparring.” Sinestro said with a smile and motioned to the creature he said “this creature is Hal Jordan of Sector 2814 – one of the worst recruits that I ever had the misfortune to train! Jordan this is Twilight Sparkle Green Lantern of Sector 2812 – a Lantern you could only hope to be a twentieth good as!”
“I would be okay with it Sinestro.” Nodded Twilight looking seriously and determined at Hal who just bursted out laughing.
“You want me to fight a pony, this should be easy!” Hal laughed as he used a construct of a ball and chain to try and catch Twilight but she dodged and used a construct of a handle to wrap itself around the ball construct.
She then began swinging the chain around tossing Hal around like a ragdoll as he was screaming, “Okay I give!” Hal shouted out as the constructs disappeared and Hal got himself off the ground.
“Excellent work as always Twilight, you have once again proved you really are one of my best students.” Sinestro said with a smile to Twilight and then his smile turned into a glare as he faced Hal and said “dreadful work as always Jordan, you have once again embarrassed and disgraced the memory of all the Lanterns who have ever worn your ring.”
“Whatever!” Hal grumbled as he dusted it off “I have to get back to Earth anyway, the Justice League are having a meeting soon.”
“Wait? What is a Justice League?” Twilight wondered as Hal was now floating in the air.
“Basically a team of Super Friends back on my home planet of Earth.” Hal informed Twilight with a smile.
“I am going back to Equestria Sinestro, see you on my next visit.” Twilight told Sinestro as she started flying back to Equestria using a construct of a hand to wave at Sinestro.
Super friends, sometime told Twilight she would have to remember that.

The showboating superhero Trixie Gold was flying across Equestria hoping to find a certain castle. “I know it will be here somewhere Skeets.....” Trixie told her friend Skeets a little golden robot Parasprite.
“Are you sure that you should be doing this, he didn’t join the public hero scene until a few years later....” warned Skeets but Trixie shaked it off.
“Don’t worry Skeets, this change will be for the better!” Trixie said with a shake of her head “Goldstar......I mean Trixie Gold knows what she is doing!”
“For the sake of the timeline and ourselves Trixie, I hope you are right...”
*Break*
Twilight flew to the window of her room in the Canterlot Palace and then turned off her Green Lantern uniform and then just relaxed on her chair. She let her mind wander to other things:
Like how the other superheroes appearing in Equestria: there was the new main protector of Ponyville Supermare, the night time vigilante Mare Do Well who she had teamed up with when there was a riot in Arkham Asylum, the Dash a super fast Pegasus from Ponyville, a pink pony in a pink hood throwing pies at criminals and politicians who was going by the Pink Pie-er and Wonder Mare a yellow Pegasus who seemed to have some sort of magical lasso that Twilight thought would be worth studying if giving the chance.
There was also a caped thunder powered alicorn called Captain Alicorn and a showboating pony called Trixie Gold who seemed to have golden weapon to help her fight crime. In other words ever since she had gotten her Green Lantern ring superheroes started to frequently in Equestria.
She then allowed her mind to go to another thing – Flash Sentry a Pegasus who was a royal guard cadet under training from her brother Shining Armour the Captain of the Guards. She had met him several times and they even gone out on a day out or two. He was kind, nice and kind of cute.
She pushed those thoughts out of her head, she was now and repeat NOT crushing on Flash Sentry......
Was she?
Maybe a bit....
STUPID TRAITEROUS THOUGHTS!!!! Twilight screamed to herself in her head while covering her head with a pillow

Garble followed the shadowy pony until he just disappeared, seemingly out of nowhere. He then looked around and saw he was now in front of some magical colourful tree. Then suddenly a dark low terrifying voice spoke to him:
“Garble the Dragon, I have a little proposition for you...........”
In Ponyville the Pegasus known as Rainbow Dash was up in a cloud in a red flight suit she had gotten, a while ago she had attempted a Sonic Rainboom and got hit by lightning while saving Scootaloo.
Because of that accident her speed was deeply increased and she decided to become a superhero called the Dash! Not only that but she discovered Scootaloo’s speed had been increased as well in the accident.
Now she was on a cloud with Scootaloo in a flight suit similar to hers only colored yellow. “Okay Scootaloo follow me and do what I do, got it!” Dashed asked Scootaloo and she nodded excitedly.
Dash then flew around Ponyville several times with Scootaloo not that far behind, Scootaloo even managed to make some bullies picking on a filly to fall down into a pile of mud causing the filly to laugh at her tormentors.
Soon they were back on the cloud and Dash patted Scootaloo softly on the head with her hoove and told her “good job Scoots, keep it up and you might even be my sidekick...Kid Dash!!!”
Scootaloo felt excited at the thought as she flew back to her house. Dash then flew back down to Ponyville and then saw something strange starting to happen.
Suddenly pony shaped shadows with bright yellow eyes began coming out of the ground and started attacking the buildings and ponies around them.
Dash smirked at the monsters as she then shouted out at them “let me show you what I have got, you stupid creatures!!!”
She then went and kicked several of them at super speed and saw to her pleasure she actually broke the creatures in half, although they were still standing. Then to her horror she saw the halves of the ponies began growing into full shadow ponies again.
“What are these things?” Dash muttered as she saw the shadow ponies towards them, they were circling her when......
They then got cut in half but what seemed to be heat vision, she managed to fly up and saw a particular well known earth pony in a red and blue costume.
“Are you alright there Sugarcube?” the Coltronian superhero Supermare asked the hero she had teamed up with about a week or something ago, which was the Dash’s first time as a superhero.
“Yeah I think i may need with whatever these things are!” Dash said looking around them and Supermare nodded.
“Let’s get to it, Sugarcube!” Supermare said as she started flying around and using her heat vision on the shadow ponies and Dash started pounding them with her legs.
“Where are these things coming from?” Dash asked getting agitated but then suddenly they shadow ponies looked at the two heroines.
“You can’t stop me........” one of them spoke in a dark low voice “All of us are one and the same....”
Then suddenly the shadow ponies around them, then started merging together to form what seemed to be a giant black griffon with glowing yellow eyes.
“I got this!!!” Dash shouted as she flew to the griffon only to be swatted away to the ground by its claw.
Supermare managed to catch before she landed, “so it’ obvious we need a better strategy than that!” Supermare told her glaring at the fellow her as she was letting her go.
“I have gotten the perfect idea!” Dash realised with a triumphant grin and Supermare just signed.
“What is your idea Sugarcube?” Supermare asked almost dreading the answer.
“There are other heroes in Ponyville right?” Dash asked and in response Supermare nodded “we just need to get another hero to help us, maybe we can find Wonder Mare around here!”
“Sugarcube wait!!!!” Supermare screamed out as Dash started flying away and Supermare had to chase after her.

Perched on top of a building in Ponyville, Pinkie Pie was dressed in a black eye mask and a pink hooded jacket while looking down at her target: a stern looking unicorn with glasses, a black polished black mane with stripes of white, a light red fur, his Cutie Mark was a closed fist with only the thumb facing down and he had a red tie: He was Arthur E.T. Figure.
She had spent five years stranded on an island where she mastered the art of throwing pies and after getting home to Equestria, she decided she will use her pie throwing talent to help protect ponies from evil, donning a hooded costumed and become a vigilante known as the Pink Pie-Er!
The EDA were her primary foes, a boring no fun activist group try to campaign to limit the amount of sugar ponies were allowed to eat. Their founder and head was Canterlot lawyer and activist Arthur E.T. Figure who had came to Ponyville to make a speech.
She had an extra sugary chocolate pie aimed at Arthur and was about to fire at him when a disgusting fat and sugar free pie hit her on the back of her head. She turned around and gasped at the figure now facing her.
There was a pony holding two fat-free pies and was covered from head to hoove in a black suit. The figure had a black hood attached to it costume that was up, was wearing black boot son all four of his or her hooves and was wearing what seemed to be a gas mask. On the back of the outfit there was the EDA logo to be seen by everypony who looked.
“Well if it isn’t the Pink Pie-Er my employers hired me to deal with, we meet again!!” taunted the figure while Pinkie shaking her head with a frown.
“And you are that meanypants Dark Pie-Er!” Pinkie responded her frown growing into a glare, she knew this figure was an opponent she had faced before the Dark Pie-Er.
When the EDA got wind of the Pink Pie-Er who had announced her war on them, they hired somepony to become their own Pie-Er. This “Dark Pie-Er” was an expert in several different combat techniques and the EDA pretty much advertised as their mascot and new defence against some stupid costumed vigilante anarchist.
They started fighting with Pinkie managed to jump behind and in front of her dark rival seemingly at random, however the Dark Pie-Er with her fighting training was more than a match for Pinkie’s randomness.
The Dark Pie-Er managed to dodge a pie to the face and Pinkie was taunting her rival as she was standing on the edge of the building.
Pinkie dodged several sugar-free pies which were sent off the building. As they heard a scream of rage Pinkie looked down and laughed.
“Thanks for doing my job for me!” Pinkie said as she bounced away, the Dark Pie-Er looked down and gasped in shock and panic when he or she saw that her or his boss Arthur had been hit by her stray pies and the photographers in the crowd was taking pictures of the EDA head’s embarrassment.
The Pie-Er knowing he or she could expect a rant from Arthur soon, roared out “I WILL HAVE MY VENGEANCE PINK PIE-ER!!!!”
Pinkie Pie chirped happily as she got out of her bed, having a dream of her last confrontation with who was becoming her biggest enemy.
While she had managed to defeat the Dark Pie-Er, Pinkie had to face the fact that the Dark Pie-Er was a better fighter than her and could one of these days defeat her once and for all.
Looking out of her window she saw several shadow ponies attacking the panicky citizens of Ponyville, she gasped out loud knowing she had to help stop these things.
Jumping into her closet she changed into her Pink Pie-Er outfit and then stocked up on her pies. “I think it’s time for these meany dark shadows-ponies to face the sweet taste of justice pie!” Pinkie shouted out as she jumped out of her window and climbed to the roof of Sugarcube Corner.
She smirked at the shadow ponies on the ceiling as she began throwing her pies at the things, “TASTE THIS!” she shouted as she started throwing her pies at the shadow ponies.....only for them to pass right through their bodies.
“Huh........” Pinked asked astounded as she began trying to think of something. After all throwing pies at pones was basically her way of fighting crime, so what does she do now since it seems they do not work on these creatures?
She then noticed a caped figure on top of another one of the buildings of Ponyville, then began jumping from rooftop to rooftop until she came across the costumed pony who was wearing a cape, mask and a hat.
“I don’t think throwing pies at these things will do you any good!” the masked pony told Pinkie Pie sternly, Pinkie then let out a huge gasp of excitement realising who this pony was.
“You are Mare Do Well!” Pinkie excitedly stated, recognising Ponyville’s other well known masked vigilante.
“Indeed I am.....” Mare Do Well nodded to the hooded excited hero “I guess that I might be need your help in figuring out where these shadow ponies came from and how to stop them?”
“So is this a team up?” Pinkie asked becoming more excited, her first team up besides when Fluttershy and her stopped those criminals before coming back to Ponyville after five years.
“I guess so.....” Mare Do Well muttered “but remembers this if we are going to do this then we do it my way, is that understood?”
Pinkie nodded enthusiastically while bouncing up and down, “I have a bad feeling about this....” Mare Do Well muttered under her breath.

Garble freaked out when he saw around the colourful tree where duplicates of the shadowy pony he had followed to the strange tree. They then all faced him and then spoke at once in a low voice (that sounded not like several ponies talking at once, but they were all talking at one sounding like the low dark voice was coming from a single pony):
“”..........Garble.......I have brought you here.....” and at the sound of the voice Garble looked at all of the Shadow Ponies nervously.
“Which one of you is it?” Garble asked fearing for his life, the shadow ponies shook their heads in perfect unison.
“We are all one......I am every single one of us.......we are the Pony of Shadows....” the Shadow Ponies said at once with Garble becoming more creeped out by the second.
“Well what do you want from me?” Garble shouted out fearfully at the shadows that made up the Pony of Shadows.
“..........we want you to serve us....help us conquer Equestria.........in return you will have the power to become Black Garble once more..........”
“Wait so you can grant me the power to transform into Black Garble once again?” Garble asked sounding interested and a little less fearful.
“.......you still have a little bit of the Power of Shazam in you...........in return for your servitude to me, I can increase the power within you as well as well as give you a little of my power....”
“but wait, can any of those so-called heroes or the stupid princesses take it away from me?” Garble asked remembering what had happened after he was tricked into turning back into a dragon.
“........No, I can make it so only I will be able to take it away from you..........I will also allow you to take your vengeance on the one called Captain Alicorn..........”
Garble smirked, he will be able to take his vengeance on the stupid baby dragon that stopped his plot to take over Equestria, “I’m in!” Garble stated without taking much to time to think it over.
Several black shadows then went into Garble body through his claws and feet, he was zapped by a blast from the colourful tree that unknown to him was known as the Tree of Harmony and he was then blasted by a lightning bolt.
Garble hardly didn’t feel hurt by the experience and asked the Pony of Shadows “did it work?”
“.......it did indeed..........you can now use the transformation phrase to transform.......you can use the phrase now............”
“I think I will..........master.........” Garble responded using the last word hesitatingly not wanting to take orders from a pony even if it was some sort of deity with the power to grant him his revenge. After Equestria was taken over he will think of a way to get rid of his new master so he can rule Equestria himself.
But those were plans for the future and he had to focus on transforming back into his old all powerful form that will allowing him to destroy that so called Captain Alicorn, as well as any of the so called superheroes that Equestria was now home to.
Garble smirked evilly as he stood right up and was ready to exact his vengeance, he then used the phrase that transformed him into Black Garble, that he was tricked into saying which caused him to transform back into plain old Garble and will allow him to exact his vengeance:
Trixie was flying back to Canterlot with Skeets, back from the castle where they were negotiating with a special future friend of theirs. “Can you believe what I managed to do, Skeets?” Trixie asked her voice filling with excitement.
“ Disrupt the natural timeline, no I don’t believe it Trixie!” Skeets said managing to sound stern even with his robotic voice.
“He will end up joining the SFE anyway so I am only speeding up the results.” Said Trixie with a wave of her hoove “come on let’s go, the Pony of Shadows will have started his invasion right now!”
Skeets sighed as he followed his friend, hopefully Trixie’s confidence and arrogance that she will be able to alter the timeline in a favourable way won’t be her downfall.

Twilight was walking down the pavement outside the Palace with Flash Sentry, “Sinestro and Kilowog sounds like the drill instructors at the royal guard’s academy!” Flash said as Twilight was telling him her experiences on Oa.
“I guess you can say that Flash...” chuckled Twilight lightly at the colt she had been close to for maybe a couple of weeks now.
“I have had a really great time since we started having these days out together.” Twilight managed to sum up the courage to say though a blush escaped onto her cheeks.
“Me too....” Flash said the cheek of the royal guard cadet also blush facing this pretty mare who was the sister of his superior, Equestria’s most famous superhero and the personal student of Princess Celestia herself.
Their faces began going closer and just as they were an inch apart....
But.......then they heard screaming and yelling as the duplicates of the Pony of Shadows starting appearing and attacking the citizens of Canterlot. “Guess that is your cue, I might be needed back at the academy.” Flash stated as he ran to the direction of the academy.
Unknown to the couple, Spike was not that far behind them and he was then pulled into a hole in the ground by some sort of an eagle claw, Spike would now have to meet his new mentor.
Twilight nodded and realised her ring needed charging so she began trotting to the palace and once inside, she began running to her room. She levitated her Green Lantern Power Battery out of her cupboard.
Placing it on the ground she pointed her horn to it and she recited the Green Lantern Oath to recharge her ring (as she was reciting the oath she was glowing green):
IN BRIGHTEST DAY IN BLACKEST NIGHT NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT LET THOSE WHO WORSHIP EVIL’S MIGHT BEWARE MY POWER GREEN LANTERN’S LIGHT!!!
Twilight had now transformed into her Green Lantern uniform and then flown out her window.
A Green Lantern’s work was never done.

Discord was facing Spike after bring him down to the Rock of Eternity, “I believe you are wondering why I have called you here my shrimp champion of SHAZAM?”
Spike was looking up at the Draconequus who granted him the power to transform into the superhero Captain Alicorn, he then answered him “is it to tell me to deal with the shadow ponies?”
“Why yes it is, this is the crisis that I made me decide to give you the powers of SHAZAM!” Discord explained extending his neck closer to Spike “this threat called the Pony of Shadows, he has even recruited and given power to an old adversary of yours!”
Discord then showed a mirror revealing the Pony of Shadows giving power to Garble and Spike looked frightened at the sight of the bully that had temporarily stolen his powers and pretty much terrorised Appleloosa.
“So are you ready for the mission you were chosen to fight for, my scaly champion?” Discord asked and Spike after thinking it over for a second nodded determinedly.
“Excellent now go show the Pony of Shadows and Black Garble the power of SHAZAM!!!!” Discord ordered and Spike nodded confidently.
“SHAZAM!!!!” and with that phrase uttered Spike turned into his older caped alicorn alter ego the big purple cheesecake Captain Alicorn and he then flew out of the Rock of Eternity.
Captain Alicorn did not notice that as he flew past Discord a piece of the mane on Discord’s head fell off and got caught on his cape, the big purple cheesecake could not know at the time how much consequence that would be.
Discord looked at his statue of Atlas and remarked “yeah Atlas buddy, I hope I have not chosen the wrong host for the Power of SHAZAM as well!”

In Ponyville,
Derpy Hooves was in her house reading a book while her daughter Dinky was upstairs. She was reading a Daring Doo book on her couch and for a second she somehow turned into Daring Do herself and back into Derpy again.
Derpy then looked out the window and was alarmed to see the Shadow Ponies outside hurting the poor innocent ponies, “Should I intervene?” Derpy wondered as she allowed the book to be put on her hoove table.

Back in Canterlot, Twilight rushed to the outside of her room and then used a construct of a giant hammer to slam it onto the several Shadow ponies. Just as this was happening the entire Royal Guard was summoned to deal with it.
To her utter shock and amazement the Shadow Ponies she smashed reassembled themselves and then spoke to her in unison saying “Green Lantern, your efforts are meaningless and a waste of time, nothing can stop the Pony of Shadows!”
“We will see about that.....” responded Twilight using a construct of a saw to pierce right through several of the Shadow Ponies at once only for them to reassemble themselves again.
She then saw some sort of gold energy take out several Shadow Ponies as well as some sort of lightning bolt. She then saw flying to her was the superheroes Twilight read about who were known as Captain Alicorn and Trixie Gold.
“Hey Twi – I mean Green Lantern!” Captain Alicorn said after stopping himself, he almost forgot he had a secret identity.
“Oh my gosh....it’s her.....” Trixie muttered in an excited voice that made Twilight believe she was some sort of a fangirl.
“Hey why are you here?” Captain Alicorn snarled at Trixie when he noticed the superhero he saw as nothing but a showboating attention grabber.
“I am here to help as I know the Shadow Ponies are originating in the Everfree Forest.” retorted Trixie who secretly knew this was not the first time she had met the caped alicorn “You got a problem with that, you big purple cheesecake!”
“WE DON’T NEED YOUR HELP....” Captain Alicorn snarled and then Twilight had to use a construct of a wall to separate the two.
“I believe we are on the same side here!” Twilight told the fellow heroes sternly “If we are to stop them I think we are going to have to work together, Trixie Gold you say that these things are coming from the forest in Ponyville?”
Trixie nodded with Skeets floating above her head, both the heroine and her robot friend knew they could not yet divulge how they got this information.
“Well then, let’s go and do try and get along, we can’t afford quarrelling if we have to focus on stopping these shadow pony creatures!” Twilight told them as she then began flying in the direction of Ponyville.
Trixie stuck her tongue out at Captain Alicorn as she used the flight ring on her horn to float up in the air and started flying after Twilight, Captain Alicorn glared at the back of Trixie as he took then began flying after them.
Captain Alicorn knew he will not like having to team up with this showboater, Celestia forbid if this cocky attention hog got them killed due to her antics.

In the castle where Trixie Gold and Skeets had gone to, the figure they had spoken to, got up from his throne and would begin his journey to help the citizens of Equestria with this new threat that Trixie told him about.
Supermare was flying after the Dash who was busy looking for Wonder Mare or any other Superhero that Ponyville was home to, “I can’t find Wonder Mare anywhere!” Dash screamed angrily.
“At least I think we lost that shadow griffon.....” responded Supermare before they were sent to the ground by bolts of lightning.
“Did I get hit by one of my own Sonic Rainbooms or something?” retorted Dash as they two of them saw Black Garble flying over them, grinning.
“I am Black Garble servant of the Pony of Shadows and I will destroy you heroes!!!” laughed Black Garble ready to start destroying superheroes.
“Ready for to take care of this varmint together, Sugarcube?” Supermare asked Dash and they both shared a grin and a nod.

In Canterlot
Princess Celestia was outside looking at the carnage that these Shadow Ponies were causing, “what is the status report?” she asked her voice with worry and concern for each and every one of her subjects. She had no idea how to stop this; it seemed her worst nightmare that the ones she cares about the most – her subjects destroyed by a great evil might be coming true right now.
“Captain Armor is leading the entire Royal Guard against the Shadow Ponies.” Her assistant answered “your student the Green Lantern is on her way to the Everfree Forest with a group of what the citizens call ‘superheroes’, one of them claiming they know where the source of all this is.”
Princess Celestia smiled to herself, she was proud of this role her student had taken in this outer space police force that was called the Green Lantern Corps, Twilight might find a way to stop this threat that she knew nothing about.
“There is one other thing your highness.” the assistant told his boss as well as monarch “there are some military officials missing and have not responded to the call to deal with this event, most notably Stolen March and Lieutenant Slade Eiling who have not been seen or been in contact for days.”
Princess Celestia darkened when she heard the names of the two most controversial figures in the military, Slade Eiling who felt full frontal violence and attacking without a solid plan were acceptable methods of protecting Equestria and Stolen March was a figure accepting bribes and making deals with dangerous criminals.
“Should they be seen after this is all over, I want them notified they are to appear in a meeting with the Equestrian Council to explain themselves!” Princess Celestia with a serious tone to her voice “and should their excuses not prove to be unsatisfactory they could be discharged from the military permanently.”
The assistant nodded his head as he went away. Princess Celestia tried to get the thought of the two of them out of her head; whatever antics they are up she had no time to deal with them right now.
But where were they anyway?

Inside of a secret base in Canterlot, several Shadow Ponies had managed to get inside only to be sliced up into several pieces by a yellow construct. The construct managed to slice the Shadow Ponies into so many pieces that they would not be able to re-shape.
The one who made them grinned at the remains of the Shadow Ponies that got in; she was Sunset Shimmer the Yellow Lantern and the Leader of the newly established Sunset Corps.
She used to be the top student of Princess Celestia but got ejected just because she started demanding to be given her rightful spot as a princess right away, about a few weeks ago her unworthy replacement starting showing off with some green magical ring that the Princess probably gave to her.
She managed to stage an event where she used a spell duplicate the magic in Twilight Sparkle’s green ring and create her own yellow ring. She then used the duplication spell to create copies she gave to followers she recruited to form her own group, that has yet to make its debut.
She then trotted next to her partners in crime – Stolen March and Slade Eiling who were soldiers in the Equestrian military who were dissatisfied with both how the military and Equestria in general was ran – believing not enough was done to protect Equestria from potential threats.
They had sided with Sunset, promising them she would help them create a new world order which will lead to them running Equestria the way it needs to be run. They were now in her Sunset Corps and where sharing the dual role of being her second in commands.
They were watching on a monitor the various cities of Equestria being attacked by these Shadow Ponies while the cadets of their Corps were busy practicing using their new rings to create constructs. Stolen March looked concerned by this.
“What is the matter March?” Slade asked rolling his one good eye from the hole in the two part yellow helmet that was part of his Sunset Corps uniform.
“Shouldn’t we be going out there to help stop these Shadow Ponies?” asked Stolen March concern deeply in his voice “I mean that is why we started this plan in the first place, to best protect Equestria!”
“Not yet!” responded Sunset with a wave of her hooves dismissively “let these so called costumed heroes of Equestria fail first, once the Equestrians see their so called heroes fall then we swoop in to save the day!”
“But Equestria needs saving now..........” Stolen march said but his protests were silenced by a glare from his leader.
“The Citizens would not be able to accept the methods of our new group until they see firsthand their so called heroes cannot save them.” Slade told Stolen March in what appeared to be fatherly tone “once they are willing to accept there is no variable alternative, and then we will strike!”
Stolen March nodded, but he was still unsure of this, still there was some lingering doubt in his mind about something:
If these so called superheroes fail, how will they fare much better?

Fluttershy was in her cottage looking out the window and watching the Shadow Ponies hurting those poor ponies, had this been five years ago Fluttershy would be too terrified to do anything but this Fluttershy was determined to stop these meany shadow ponies.
She went and changed into her Wonder Mare get up and went outside with her Lasso of Truth, ready to help stop whatever was happening.
Fluttershy had been on a cruise which due to a storm sank and she was marooned on an island for five years, luckily the tribe of Amazon warrior mares that made the island their home, found her and took her in. She spent the next years being trained as one of them.
She had recently won a tournament where she was crowned the island’s champion and ambassador to Equestria, the Queen Hippoltya gave her their greatest weapons and the strength of the gods they worshipped.
After finding her old friend Pinkie Pie trapped on the island as well, she flew them back home to Equestria where she began a career as the superhero Wonder Mare.
Going out of her cottage she started attacking some of the Shadow Ponies but then encountered the Shadow Griffon that was chasing the Dash and Supermare before it los them.
Before it could do anything however, the creature was sliced into different pieces by a trident held by a giant hybrid of a pony and a fish. An OC (Oceanic Creature) if Fluttershy knew correctly.
“Who are you?” Fluttershy asked wondering if this was a hero or a villain.
“Who am I? Why I am the God of War and the Sea, the big brother of Princesses Celestia and Luna, Equestria’s all time Cursing Champion and Lord of the Capricons.” The OC said as he used his trident to slice through some of the Shadow Ponies.
“I am Lord Tydal.” The OC said as he attacked more Shadow Ponies, but to some of my friends I am known as..............AQUAPONY!!!!”
“I am the Pony of Shadows, every second that passes I grow closer to the tree that seals the prison I have been trapped in for countless millennia by that accursed Alicorn.”
“That doesn’t matter now, I will soon escape my prison and Equestria will soon fall to my power.”
“I already have my servant Black Garble dispatched to deal with Equestria’s so called protectors, the so called Superheroes! Even if my fails to destroy these so called heroes, they will prove no match for my power!”
“After Equestria’s heroes and princesses have fallen, I will create a world with only shadows in which I will be the supreme overlord and the residents will exist merely to serve me as slaves.”
“My ultimate victory is inevitable!”

At Sweet Apple Acres farm Applebloom was safely inside the house with her big brother Big Macintosh and their Granny Smith. These strange Shadow Ponies were attacking Ponyville and her big sister Applejack was outside trying to stop them as Supermare.
Then suddenly she saw some of them barging in, her eyes blinked in shock as she saw them coming closer to her big brother and grandmother.
“Run Applebloom!” they commanded to Applebloom who screamed out a single word:
“NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!”
Then suddenly heat vision beams came from out of her eyes and vaporised the Shadow Ponies, just like Applejack’s she blinked as she saw she was now floating in the air.
She looked to her grandmother and brother and saw they were just as shocked as she was, it could only mean one thing:
She managed to develop her Coltronian Powers! She looked to her flank excitedly but saw no superhero Cutie Mark.
Aaawwww............
She swooped down and then was hugged by her brother and grandmother. “Are you alright Applejack?” Granny Smith asked looking at her granddaughter with concern on her face.
“Just fine.” Applebloom smiled at the idea she just had “hey do you two think that now I have my powers then Applejack will have me as her sidekick, I can be Superfilly!”
Big Macintosh and Granny Smith then shared a chuckle as the three Apple Family members continued their hug.

The trio of the Green Lantern Twilight Sparkle and the still bickering Captain Alicorn and Trixie Gold were not high above the Everfree Forest. “I still don’t think we need this stupid braggart!” Captain Alicorn said glaring at Trixie.
“You want a piece of me?” Trixie asked glaring at Captain Alicorn until they were both slapped by Twilight using a hand construct.
“We are at the Everfree Forest right now.” Twilight said as the three of them flew down to the ground and they were now in the Everfree Forest.
“Can you show us where the source of these Shadow Ponies, Trixie Gold?” Twilight asked Trixie who then looked smug.
“Why certainly mu.....I mean Green Lantern.” Trixie said leading the trio through the forest with her two fellow heroes batting an eye at whatever she was about to say.
“How exactly do you know this anyhow?” Captain Alicorn asked curiously and Trixie looked concerned, how would she be able to explain without revealing she was from the future?
“I.....uuhhh.......interrogated one of those Shadow Ponies and he managed to tell me!” Trixie muttered and looking at the two heroes she knew that they were not convinced but did not question further.
“Dodged a bullet as you ponies say, didn’t you Trixie.” Skeets said to Trixie in her ear and she began glaring at her robot friend.
Twilight realised that when she had time and when this was all over she would have to start investigating Trixie Gold, but for now they would have to concentrate on stopping these Shadow Ponies.
**
Fluttershy was now swirling Shadow ponies about with her Lasso as Tydal was piercing through them using his trident. “I came here as one of Equestria’s superheroes had asked for my help in this.” Tydal explained as he was going through many more Shadow ponies “She came to me when I was considering a proposal of my sister Celestia about some God Squad project of hers.”
“What the...........” Fluttershy said as she and Tydal spotted several pies going through shadow ponies. They then saw trotting towards them the heroines Mare Do Well and the Pink Pie-Er.
“Oh my gosh, hello Flutter....oh yes secret identity.....” Pinkie said jumping and down excitedly and luckily she had managed to realise her mistake “I mean hello Wonder Mare and I think that is Aquapony from my comic!!!!!!”
“I believe if we are going to figure out a way to stop whatever is happening, we would need to work together.” Mare Do Well said to the OC and Amazon warrior mare who was getting irritated by the hyper hooded vigilante she had recruited to help her.
“Look up there!” Pinkie said pointing to the sky as the three fellow heroes saw Green Lantern, Captain Alicorn and Trixie Gold flying towards the Everfree Forest.
“Maybe we all could form a super team!” Pinkie said jumping up and down excitedly “we could be the Avengers, the Wonders of the Universe or how about the Justice League!”
“There should be two other superheroes in Equestria....” mused Mare Do Well “Supermare and the Dash, where could they be?”

At the other side of Ponyville, Applejack better known as Supermare charged at Black Garble with the Dash at her side. Dash manage to fly around Black Garble dazing him, providing a distraction so that Applejack can swoop in and started punching at black Garble’s face.
Black Garble managed to Block Applejack and then sent some lightning powered punches of his own at Applejack’s face. They continued punching at eachother until Dash swooped in and punched the size at Black Garble’s head.
This gave Applejack the opportunity to use her back legs to kick at black Garble sending him to the ground, however he managed to get up and back into the air easily.
“Take this Heroes!” Black Garble said in a mocking tone as he sent several bolts of lightning at Dash and Applejack, Applejack managed to dodge but Dash got hit causing her to fall down until she managed to catch herself.
“This in on now you punk!” Dash screamed as she charged at Black Garble only to get hit by several bolts of lightning causing her to fall to the ground.
Black Garble did not have enough time to laugh at this before his back was blasted Applejack’s heat vision. “You are in for it now!” Black Garble as he charged at Applejack and they got into a fist fight.
Black Garble managed to get the upper hand and he used a lightning bolt to make her stagger, he then saw Dash get up so he took Applejack and tossed her at the super fast Pegasus making them both on the ground.
Black Garble laughed gloatingly as he floated down to the ground, he looked triumphantly at the two heroes he managed to defeat for the moment.
“You will have the honour of being the first two so called superheroes that I will kill!” Black Garble but he then saw Derpy Hooves walking up to him with a strong glare.
Dash and Applejack was wondering what the strange eyed Pegasus was doing, “What exactly do you want, you stupid pony?” Black Garble asked deciding to let Derpy explain herself before he used a bolt of lightning to vaporise her on the spot.
Derpy then spoke two words:
“Go away.”
Dash and Applejack both shared a collective hoove smack as Black Garble bursted into laughter, but his laughter stopped as where Derpy had been standing there was now a giant brutish green creature that was three times his size.
Black Garble only had the chance to stare in shock as the creature began pummelling on Black Garble, due to the fact he was smaller and he was tired out because of the fight he just had Black Garble was not able to defend himself.
The creature then used its fist to grab Black Garble and it threw him towards the Dragon wastelands, Black Garble due to his weakened state was not able to use his wings to stop his flight so he was in for a twenty minute journey before he finally landed.
The creature then looked at Applejack and Dash who were getting up and had their jaws practically still on the ground.
“Hello everypony!” the creature then said cheerfully in Derpy’s voice before it then morphed in what looked like Derpy but with green fur, no mane and a dark blue cape with a collar.
“Derpy?” they both asked in unison and Derpy Hooves chuckled, she then decided to explain.
“Back on my home planet of Mars I was known as Derp’Ae Hooves.” Derpy explained to the astonished two superheroes “but I guess now my secret is our you can call me the Martian PonyHunter.”
By the looks on both Dash and Applejack’s face Derpy knew that she would have to explain her whole story to them.
“On the planet Mars our race was able to change our shape into any form that we wanted. Our technology was about a billion years ahead of Equestria’s and we lived in relative peace.
But then tragedy struck.........
Mars ran out of muffins!
So I created a rocket ship and with my daughter Ditz’ae we came to Equestria where there were plenty of muffins. We took the shape of ponies (though I made a mistake during mine hence the eye but when I looked in the mirror I decided I liked the way i looked so I kept it) and we started new lives in Ponyville where I took a job as a mail carrier!”
Applejack and Dash both looked at Derpy slack jawed, “so let me get this straight......” Applejack asked with a disbelieved look on her face “you are really a Martian scientist who took her daughter and abandoned her home and everyone she ever knew all because THERE WERE NO MUFFINS LEFT?”
“I like muffins....” Derpy responded and they then noticed Mare Do Well, Pinkie, Tydal and Fluttershy who were clapping to the story.
“How long have you all been there, sugarcubes?” Applejack asked wondering why they didn’t notice them there.
“Since Derpy started wailing on that caped alicorn.” Pinkie said excitedly “that story is so cool!”
“So Derpy do you want to help us take these Shadow Ponies down?” asked Dash and Derpy nodded excitedly, then the group of now seven superheroes then began to work fighting the Shadow Ponies.
As they were doing this they saw the sun in the sky was going down for something and being replaced by the moon. As the heroes were busy fighting the Shadow Ponies one lingering thought was among them:
What force were they fighting that was powerful enough to lower the sun?
In Ponyville a white unicorn with a megaphone for a Cutie Mark by the name of Rabble Rouser was standing on a wooden block with a bullhorn he telekinetically had to his mouth shouting “beware my friends for the end of Equestria is here! The Guards and the so called Princess Celestia has failed to protect us from this apocalypse! The so called superheroes that have been popping up are nowhere to be found and we are all doomed thanks to the negligence of...........”
“AH PUT A SOCK IN IT!!!” shouted a civilian who started throwing stuff as Rabble causing him to run away. Most of the ponies were running in terror or in the case of the military fight back against the Shadow Ponies.
“Princess Celestia I must go and make sure Twiley is alright!” Shining Armor told Princess Celestia who looked worried and thought it over.
“Okay since we need to save as many ponies as possible in Equestria you are authorised to bring a squadron of guards to Ponyville.” Princess Celestia as she went to see her sister Princess Luna to try and think of a reason why the sun went down.
Shining Armor smiled in appreciation, he need to have hope that Twilight will make this out okay. “Okay who wants to come with me?” Shining asked and several of his closest friends in the Royal Guard put their hooves up.
Flash Sentry was one of those who volunteered; he was worried for the mare he was getting closer to........ he might even liked her as more than a friend.
“Shining I am coming with you.” Princess Cadence said flying up to Shining’s group; Cadence had recently accepted a marriage proposal from Shining which they had yet to tell Twilight about.
“Are you sure Cadence? I don’t want you getting hurt....” Shining said but was silenced by a kiss from his fiancé.
“She is the filly I foalsat for years and she is practically my sister in all but blood.” Cadence told Shining and the look in her eyes made Shining realise he was not going to win this argument.
“Fine then....” Shining said after sighing making Cadence smile, he and his selected group began going into chariots that would take them to Ponyville.
“See? Our Royal Guard have realised how hopeless this all is and are fleeing....” Rabble said noticing this only to start running away again as rotten tomatoes began being thrown at him.

Twilight, Trixie and Captain Alicorn managed to get to the centre of the Everfree Forest where they saw a large colourful tree.
The place was covered with Shadow Ponies who then laughed as they faced the trio and said in unison.
“Come to your demise heroes? Welcome to the Tree of Harmony source of all magic in Equestria, once I harvest it’s power I will rule all!”
“Come out and show yourself!” Captain Alicorn snarled and the Shadow ponies shared a collective laugh.
“He is in the middle of the center of the entire planet.” Trixie explained to the shock of the fellow heroes.
“Indeed I am, I was banished here long ago but soon I will escape my prison, truth be told a thousand years ago I managed to get a piece of me through that latched onto the jealousy that Princess Luna felt and offered to help her make her dream of eternal night a reality!”
“Wait so you were the one who corrupted Princess Luna!” Twilight exclaimed growing furious and the Shadow Ponies nodded their heads in unison.
“Yes it was part of a plan for there already be an eternal night world for me to rule once I escaped but you foiled that plan Green Lantern! You will not foil this plan for once I have destroyed you all I will destroy the Princesses and use the Tree of Harmony to rule this entire world!”
“Not as long as we stand to fight!” Twilight shouted and the three superheroes began fighting against the Shadow Ponies.
Twilight began using a boxing glove construct to fight the Shadow Ponies, Trixie began blasting them with her gauntlets and Captain Alicorn was fighting them with his lightning bolt powered punches.
He then remembered something, the Pony of Shadows said he was at the centre of the planet, he now had an idea!
Grinning he started tunnelling to the ground, “What is that big purple cheesecake up to?” wondered Trixie wide eyed as she and Twilight looked at this in confusion.
Captain Alicorn managed to reach the part of the underground the shadows that was the Pony of Shadow’s physical form, right underneath the Tree of Harmony. He then started punching at it.
Unknown to him the Pony of Shadows had managed to merge with the Plunderseeds that Discord planted underneath the tree before Princesses Luna and Discord defeated him with the Elements of Harmony (which were still in the castle due to in this universe Twilight never managed to go search for them before she was recruited into the Green Lantern Corps).
The Pony of Shadows managed to use a tentacle to snatch a piece of Discord’s mane from Captain Alicorn’s cape (Told you that it would be important).
The shadow then became a multicoloured blob and it flew out of the hole and Captain Alicorn managed to fly out of it as well before it sealed up. The blob then merged with the Shadow Ponies that was in the area.
Combined with the piece of Discord and the magic of the Tree of Harmony that he managed to absorb, he then transformed into a giant cross between Discord and a stallion version of Nightmare Moon.
The Pony of Shadows had a new physical form, “Time to continue my triumph, I will finish destroy you all later!!” the Pony of Shadows then said that was a cross between Discord and Nightmare Moon’s Voice. He then began flying to Ponyville to make his presence known.
“Nice going you big purple cheesecake!” Trixie shouted enraged with a glare at Captain Alicorn who was looking down and Twilight was looking a bit worried.
Captain Alicorn was supposed to stop this menace but he only managed to make it worse, what would his mentor Discord say if he knew that he basically let him and all of Equestria down with this?

Back in the Rock of Eternity Discord had been watching this through a portal, he simply shrugged and said “hey at least I tried, oh well time to prepare for the end of Equestria!"
**
“Come on, we may still have a chance to stop him!” Twilight said flying after the pony of Shadows along with Trixie who was still glaring at the caped alicorn and Captain Alicorn who realised he had to stay strong if there was going to be a chance to still stop this monster pony.
He also had his showdown with his rival Black Garble to do, unaware that said Black garble was at the moment lying unconscious in the middle of the Dragon Wastelands.
The final battle would be starting soon with the fate of Equestria at stake:
Get your popcorn ready and start placing your bets!
In Ponyville suddenly everyone in the area of where most of the heroes were heard an evil cackle, “What is happening?” Tydal asked after he just skewed several Shadow Ponies in half using his trident.
They then saw the Pony of Shadows hovering above them, “I am the Pony of Shadows, these Shadow Ponies are mere duplicates that serve my invasion.” The Pony said laughing manically “After you and every attempted resistance is defeated I will rule this world in a state of never ending night!”
“Looks like he is behind all of this!” Dash snarled looking up at the pony and Draconequus hybrid “let’s go and kick his flank so that we can stop all of this!”
Dash then flew right at the Pony of Shadows only to get zapped to the ground by eye beams from the evil entity. “You work best on the ground Sugarcube; you best help get the Ponyvillans to safety!” Applejack told Dash and she nodded.
Dash then nodded grimly as she began running at super speed making sure all of the ponies got away from the smaller Shadow Ponies. “Let’s see how you handle this!” Applejack snarled as she went charging at the Pony of Shadows.
The Pony of Shadows clicked his fingers and there was now a cotton candy cloud above Applejack and the Coltronian got chocolate milk falling on her. “What the....” Applejack managed to say in confusion as she was being swatted away by the claw of the Pony of Shadows.
“Chocolate Rain, how lucky is Supermare!” Pinkie said as she was helping get the ponies to safety and fight the Shadow Ponies along with Mare Do Well, as the ones in the group without much that could be considered super powers this was the best they could help in this situation.
“Focus Pink Pie-Er!” Mar Do Well told Pinkie sternly who gave a sheepish smile in return. Applejack managed to get up and then managed to fly up to the back of the Pony of Shadows and send him to the ground with a punch.
“That merely tickled, I was just humouring you!” laughed the Pony of Shadows as he took Applejack using his claw and started pummelling her to the ground for a minute.
“This is all pointless!” cackled the Pony of Shadows madly as he began making chocolate rain clouds appear everywhere “There is nothing that can stop the Pony of Shadows!”
“Let me see about that!” Fluttershy shouted as she began chagrining in and then got the Pony of Shadows in her lasso and she managed to pummel him about.
The Pony of Shadows then glared at her as he managed to get out and used the Lasso to bring her closer to him and he started attacking her. “Take this you so called Wonder Mare!” the Pony of Shadows said as he threw Fluttershy crashing into a wall.
“Take this you demon!” Tydal shouted charging with his trident, he managed to punch the Pony of Shadows several times and managed to hit him several times with his Trident.
The Pony of Shadows had one of his cotton candy clouds hit Tydal in the back giving him the distraction that he needed to toss Tydal to the ground. He then started having some of his Shadow Ponies stomp onto Tydal before he manage dot get up and cut the Shadow Ponies in half with his trident.
The Pony of Shadows used his claw to get a lucky shot at Tydal, “So much for the God of War and the Sea!” mocked the Pony of Shadows kicking down at Tydal before he managed to get up and was taking care of the Shadow Ponies that were surrounding him.
“You are so in for it!” Derpy shouted as she turned into the creature she used to curb stomp Black Garble and she then charged at the Pony of Shadows.
“Not even you can stop me Martian!” roared the Pony of Shadows with a glare on his face as he fought against the shape shifting Martian.
With a lucky shot the Pony of Shadows managed to send Derpy to the ground here she went back to her previous green pony form, the Pony of Shadows grinned to himself, most of Equestria’s heroes layed defeated at his hooves.
A.K. Yearling the author of the Daring Doo series of novels was about to get hit by falling debris when it was caught by a green construct.
There was Twilight, Trixie and Captain Alicorn who had just arrived, the seven heroes already there cheered that now all of Equestria’s superheroes were here to stop the Pony of Shadows.
Trixie smiled when she saw that Tydal arrived, “See that Skeets, Tydal came to help just as I planned!” Trixie said excitedly as Skeets just gave a robotic sigh.
Then came the chariots with Shining, Cadence and their chosen members of the Royal Guard, “Looks like the Calvary has arrived!” smirked Twilight when she saw her big brother best friend forever, her old foalsitter and the colt she was growing fond of with the group.
Then the guards started helping getting the citizens to safety and fighting the Shadow Ponies, the heroes no realised they can now focus their efforts on taking the Pony of Shadows down once and for all.
The Pony of Shadows grunted and he realised he now had more pests to deal with, nonetheless he already has a servant he recruited to help with this.
“Black Garble I want you to -” the Pony of Shadows started saying but then realised his dragon turned alicorn herald was not there “wait – where is Black Garble.”
“Oh I sent that meanie packing!” Derpy chuckled out loud, Captain Alicorn could not believe it. Looks like his big ultimate showdown with his dark counterpart and rival would have to be another day, if it was going to happen at all.
“Looks like I have to deal with you pests on my own!” the Pony of Shadows roared out using his cotton candy clouds to shoot bolts of lightning at the heroes as they began dodging.
Trixie then began using the blasts from her gauntlets to shoot at the Pony of Shadows which he was managing to deflect using the armour on his pony half. Captain Alicorn then began punching at the Pony of Shadows only to get swatted away.
Twilight was managing to block the attacks form the cotton candy clouds using a constructed umbrella, she then began firing green blasts at the Pony of Shadows until he pushed her away.
“Now to destroy you once and for all......” the Pony of Shadows and then to the confusion of him and the heroes he then began glowing rainbow colors.
“What is happening to me?” the Pony of Shadows roared out in a terrified voice, then Twilight got an idea.
“I think I know!” Twilight said with a smirk to the shrieking Draconequus and pony hybrid “[color]You now have the powers of the Tree of Harmony and the chaos powers of a Draconequus, chaos and harmony cannot exist at the same time so your powers are colliding with themselves!”
The Pony of Shadows continued screaming in pain as the ten heroes began taking their chance. “Wait......you can’t do this to me..........I am supposed to rule this world........” the Pony of Shadows shouted in terror but his protest fell on deaf ears at what now going to happen to the powerful evil and dark pony like shadow entity.
Twilight was hitting the Pony of Shadows with a mallet construct, Mare Do Well began throwing electrified bolas at the being, Captain Alicorn was throwing lightning bolts at the entity, Pinkie was throwing Pies at him and Dash was punching him with super speed.
Applejack was shooting heat vision at him, Derpy was punching him with a large hand she had transformed her hoove into, Tydal was hitting him with his trident, Trixie was shooting at him with her power gauntlets and Fluttershy was punching him with her hooves.
Then the ten heroes stepped back as a blast erupted from the Pony of Shadows, he screamed into terror until his armour, wings Draconequus half and horn went of him and he turned into a normal sized black furred earth pony.
Then the moon went down and the sun returned to its normal place, all across Equestria every single one of the Shadow Ponies all at the same time disappeared into nothingness.
The civilians all around Equestria when they saw the Shadow Ponies had disappeared, were now relieved that this now seemed to be over.
Then the Pony of Shadows turned into a stone statue with the look of horror forever etched onto his face, the ten heroes faced the crowd and they started cheering and applauding.
“Good work that was!” Applejack said and all of the heroes nodded in agreement.
“Do you think we all can form a team?” Tydal asked and they then thought about that.
“I would be up for it, even if it meant putting up with this braggart.” Captain Alicorn said pointing his hoove at Trixie who just glared at him.
“What should we call ourselves?” Derpy asked and they started coming up with ideas.
“We can be the Power Ponies!” said Captain Alicorn remembering a comic book that he loved.
“I think that name is trademarked.” Replied Trixie with a shake of her head.
“How about the Terrific Ten?” Dash suggested.
“Or we can be the Justice League!” Pinkie said jumping up and down excitedly.
Twilight then remembered something that the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 Hal Jordan said back on Oa, before this whole mess had started.
“Basically a team of Super Friends back on my home planet of Earth.” Hal informed Twilight with a smile.
“How about – the Super Friends of Equestria?[]/color” Twilight suggested and the nine heroes seemed to agree with it.
Twilight then noticed Flash Sentry and then started walking up to him. “Hi Twilight.... nice work there stopping that hybrid monsters......” Flash Sentry stuttered with a smile.
“Thanks, all in a day’s work I guess for a member of the Green Lantern Corps.” Twilight smiled back and she decided to try something risky. She stood on her forelegs and then put her hooves around Flash and then they were now floating in the air.
“I think I really like you Flash.” Twilight said and then realised she had just admitted her crush who she did not even know she was crushing on him.
“I really like you too!” Flash said and their cheeks then started blushing.
“JUST KISS ALREADY YOU IDIOTS!” most of the Ponyville citizens shouted back on the ground, this included about the nine other superheroes that helped Twilight defeat the Pony of Shadows.
Twilight and Flash both had their faces coming closer.... . . . . . . . . . . You really hate all this tension, don’t you? . . . . . . . Yes I am trying to test your patience . . . . . Okay I will stop playing around now. . . . Until they were finally kissing reminiscent of the Superman and Wonder Woman kiss from Justice League #12 but this was not a marketing scheme to sell comic books.
The nine superheroes looked up and smiled at the couple. Princess Cadence looked up in tears of joy that her favourite little filly seemed to have found a special somepony of her own while her fiancé Shining looked stone faced and realised he needed to have a word with his cadet very soon about kissing or possibly dating his younger sister.
And so the day was saved, the Pony of Shadows was defeated this time for good, the first superhero team Equestria has had in decades has been formed and in the afterlife the spirit of the first alicorn ever born smiled knowing that the foe he had defeated long ago was now gone for good.
EQUESTRIA IS SAVED THANKS TO THE EFFORTS OF THE SUPER FRIENDS OF EQUESTRIA! By Hot Scoop
Just yesterday all of Equestria was invaded by what could only be described as “Shadow Ponies”. There so many of them that it seemed that the Equestrian Royal Guard and Military was powerless to stop it.
The mastermind behind it all seemed to be a hybrid of a Draconequus and Nightmare Moon. He was also able force his control on both the sun and the moon and had appeared in Ponyville where he was terrorising the small town.
Luckily the town and all of Equestria was saved and the mastermind is now trapped in stone where he is now in place at the Canterlot Palace. Who saved us, you might be asking yourselves. None other than the new group of superheroes that are now known as the Super Friends of Equestria.
This new superhero team consists of the Green Lantern Twilight Sparkle (the personal protégée of Princess Celestia herself who had previously single hoofedly manage to defeat the Wicked Mare of Darkness Nightmare Moon and turn her back into Princess Luna), the Coltronian Supermare (rumoured by some to be Ponyville’s own Applejack but they have not been taken seriously due to Supermare no wearing a hat), the super fast hero known as the Dash, the Capricorn Lord known as Tydal or Aquapony, the warrior hero known as Wonder Mare, the big purple cheesecake Captain Alicorn, the pie throwing vigilante known only as the Pink Pie-Er, the mysterious alien known as the Martian Ponyhunter, Ponyville’s night time vigilante Mare Do Well, and the showboating technological hero known as Trixie Gold.
“I am so proud of my student and her new friends.” Says our own monarch Princess Celestia.
“Twiley has done me so proud!” says Shining Armor the Captain of the Guard and big brother of Twilight Sparkle. Their parents expressed similar statements.
”I could hardly believe that the filly that I had looked after and had fun with managed to help save all of Equestria from a great evil, words cannot express just how proud I am of my little filly of what she has accomplished since becoming Green Lantern.” says Princess Cadence niece of Princess Celestia and the marefriend of Shining Armor.
However this new group has attracted some critics, some high authority ponies have questioned this new group that has saved us all.
”I do not know nor understand how these vigilantes can even be considered heroes. The Pink Pie-Er for example is nothing more than just an anarchist who has been targeting my business. I had to hire my own bodyguard in the form of the Dark Pie-Er, who is a REAL hero who does her job of protecting me and my group from pie throwing vigilantes. This is what sugar does to ponies, make them play dress up and decide they have the right to put the law into their own hooves, I urge the good citizens of Ponyville to put a stop to these menaces before it is too late.” says Arthur Edward Taylor Figure, Head of the Equestrian Dietary Association and Canterlot politician.
”The one known as Supermare who we are led to believe protects Ponyville, but she has admitted she is an alien visit so how do we know she is planning an invasion. How do we know that these so called heroes are not just trying to gain favour so that they can gain control.” says Filthy Rich, owner of Rich’s Barnyard Bargains one of the most successful and respected businesses in Ponyville.

In the base of the soon to be well known Sunset Corps, Sunset Shimmer was angrily reading her paper about what had happened. The so called heroes including Twilight Sparkle was supposed to fall so that her Sunset Corps could make their debut and start gaining popularity and attention to their cause.
But no, not only did Twilight Sparkle lead the heroes to victory and save the day, they were now more famous than ever before. Not only that but her partners in crime Stolen march and Slade Eiling would be wanted by their superiors for questioning on why they did not respond to this invasion.
She looked over the matter with both Slade and Stolen March, they all agreed they would have to wait another time to make their move and make the presence of the Sunset Corps known.
Besides they still had at least one weapon under their control:
The still hibernating form of King Sombra! With the power of this fallen tyrant at their command, not even Twilight Sparkle and her stupid Super Friends group will be able to stop the might of the Sunset Corps!
At the moment Stolen March and Slade were busy at work looking through more possible candidates to join their illustrious Corps and their noble cause and to think of what to do when spotted by their soon to be former superiors.

The alter ego of the big purple cheesecake and now Super Friends of Equestria founding member Captain Alicorn and the wielder of the Power of SHAZAM, Spike was now back at the Rock of Eternity and was talking to his mentor Discord who looked pleased. “So you managed to stop the evil I gave you the power of SHAZAM to defeat, good work!” Discord said in a cheery tone but then Spike felt sad when he realised something.
“Does this mean I have to give the powers that you gave me back?” questioned Spike who looked a bit relieved when Discord shook his head.
“Not at all my little protégée, there is still plenty of evil that I may need you to defeat!” said Discord with a fatherly smile on his face as he patted Spike on the head softly “besides there is still the matter of the fact that Black Garble is still at large so you will still need your powers in order to stop him once and for all!”
“See you soon Discord!” Spike said while waving to his mentor as he went out of the Rock of Eternity, the pathway would take him back to his room in the Canterlot Palace and Twilight was at the house of the parents of Flash Sentry her new coltfriend so she would not be able to see him sneak in unexpectedly.
“You Know Starswirl.” Discord said to the statue of Starswirl the Bearded as he sat down onto a chair “I am kind of glad that I chose that little dragon to be my champion and the wielder of the Power of SHAZAM, he made a much better hero than any of the candidates I had considered. How bad would things have turned out if I had ended up choosing that Diamond Tiara?”
Discord then gave a shudder on the very idea of a brat like Diamond Tiara gaining superpowers, no good at all would come from something like that.
Good thing that will never happen....

In Ponyville the civilians as well as construction crew from Canterlot pitched in to help restore the damaged buildings in the city, it should take a small while before the buildings damaged in all of Equestria would be repaired and the Equestrian cities would all be as good as knew.
It would have been a lot worse if the superheroes of Equestria had not managed to stop the Pony of Shadows and save the day.
At Sweet Apple Acres the alter ego of Supermare the Mare of Tomorrow and now founding member of the Super Friends of Equestria, Applejack smiled as she along with her brother Big Macintosh and their grandmother Granny Pie watched Applebloom demonstrate her superpowers who she had just developed the day before.
She was now wearing her own uniform complete with the insignia of the House of El which on their home planet of Coltron was the symbol for ‘hope’ and to help disguise her identity she was missing her bow.
“This is so cool, Superfilly to the rescue!” Applebloom shouted with excitement as she was flying around in a small circle “do you think I can be your sidekick Applejack?”
“Continue practicing your powers and we might see.” Applejack chuckled along with her brother and grandmother.

Derpy Hooves was in her house laughing as she and her daughter Ditzy was having fun eating muffins and practicing their shape shifting. Ever since coming to this planet and to Equestria the mother and daughter had some of the best memories that they had ever had.
Now Derpy would have triple duty being a mum, a mail carrier and an alien superhero:
Eh, hardly a challenge at all, seems to be a breeze to be honest.

Trixie was now in a mobile home that she had set up with Skeets, for them to live in this time. She sighed knowing the task that the time travelling pony known only as ‘the Hunter’ gave her when he sent her and Skeets back to this time in the past.
The mission was simple: find and stop any possible time travelling super villains from changing the past for the worse. She was chosen for the mission as she was Goldstar the leader of the Super Friends of Equestria and a well respected and popular superhero in Equestria, of course due to a slip of tongue she in the past was now known as Trixie Gold.
She had superheroing in her blood, her mother had helped start the current age of superheroes. She was relaxing on her bed looking a photo of her fifth birthday party. There in the background smiling for the camera with her was her loving parents:
Twilight Sparkle still the Green Lantern of Sector 2812 as well as the current keeper of the Book of Oa in the future and Flash Sentry who in her future was now the current Captain of the Royal Guards.
How proud her mother was when she began her superhero career and at her induction into the Super Friends of Equestria, she had used her scientific know how to create her gadgets just so she could be like her famous mother and Skeets was built to be a close friend of Trixie.
Too bad in the past she could not let Twilight know she was her daughter from the future or what she was sent there to stop.
Trixie Sentry sighed as she rested upon her bed and she realised something:
What other pony could honestly say they were there in person to see their parents’ first kiss?

My name is Ganthet of Oa, I am a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike most of my fellow Guardians I do not totally believe emotion is nothing more than a weakness, i believe emotion is also a strength, Fellow Guardian Sayd believe this sentiment. Some of my fellow Guardians have started to believe even our greatest weapon the Green Energy of Willpower is enough to take down every single threat of the universe.
