Ok, after we packed are stuff, Spike and I decided to stay in Manhattan so I bought an apartment. We both agreed it would be a waste of money buying a house because of the travelling and such even if I could conjure up aload of bits at my hoof. As for the researchers, they apologised, including Light Magic. They wanted to study my outburst of magic while asking some questions but I refused and said nothing, obversely.
While heading to do some shopping, Spike showed me a poster of Trixie’s show happening tonight. My eyes shot shot at his. I remembered all the memories with Trixie's. We had great memories and became good friends thanks to Starlight.
“Do you know this mare mom?” Spike asked.
“Yes, let’s say we didn’t meet under the best of conditions. My friends called her a show off because she was bragging that she defeated an Ursa Major, which she didn’t. Trixie showed off her little magic tricks and then her minions released an Ursa Minor into town and she didn’t do anything to help. I defeated it and carried the Ursa Minor back to its mom in the cave using my magic. Trixie ran away from town then came back for revenge 2 years later after I took out an Ursa Minor, humiliating her so she enslaved the town with the evil Alicorn Amulet. I got kicked out of time because I couldn’t do an age spell. I managed to trick her into taking off the amulet with the help of my friends. Trixie apologies and we became friends a few years after and she made friends with a pony that related to hers.” I finished.
“Wow she must be powerful and clever to find something to beat your magic.” Spike smiled and I nodded.
“Let’s say that Trixie is better at stage magic then general magic.” Spike leaped on my back and carried him back to the apartment. “Trixie might not be the best at fighting and relies on her tricks but she is the best when it comes to the stage however these are her early years as a performer. She has a long way to go yet.”
“Can we go see her show?” I nodded to Spike. Then Spike started to fall asleep on my back.
At the apartment—
I put Spike on bed as he fell asleep. I got planning me approach to everything. And what I planned is don’t plan because everything will not turn out as planned. I knew I could never plan or take out all the extraneous variables to make everything go the way I want. As the night fell, I watched the stars twinkle in the night sky. I’ve been dishonest about everything, using a cheat sheet to know what is going to happen, Applejack would not be pleased. They wouldn’t know about me but I know them. We are not friends yet or will be again because they are but a memory. When Nightmare moon came, I’m just going to turn Luna back and leave. Tears rolled down my face. My eyes were getting heavy as I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning—
I got up rubbing my eye lids realising its morning. Then I went into the kitchen eating my breakfast that I conjured up. Then I called Spike.
“Spike, breakfast” No response then I called out again. “Spike I said breakfast”. I went upstairs finding Spike not in his bed. I started to panic. “Oh no oh no oh no oh no Spike where are you please this is not funny.” My mind raced though ideas. I searched the hole apartment, panicking like a mad mare.
Then I had a version:
A red mare with a pink coat appeared from the door. Her cutie mark was of sweets with a detective book as a background. “I am Red Sweet and you are in the police Station, we wanted you to answer a few questions now that you are awake. We’ve sorry to take you in but I need to ask. How did you meet your care taker?
“My mom, Twilight, hatched me 8 years ago with a magical outburst for the entrance exam at Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns. My mom used to be her faithful student but not anymore, I think anyway. She doesn’t like talking about it.” Spike then thought about how she’ll react to finding him gone. “Oh no Mom’s going to be so worried that I’ve gone missing. Do you know how mad she’ll be, knowing I’m gone? No you don’t”
“Don’t worry we will just tell her that we are taking you into the dragon training camps. You’re in our custody and we are sending you off tonight.” Red Sweet said
“No, what about Mom? I don’t want to leave her. Mom is going to be so worried, you don’t understand how powerful she is. You really shouldn’t mess with her or I. You haven’t seen her type of magic have you? No you haven’t you’ll be in trouble.” Spike shivered in place.
“Impossible but just in case we have protection against powerful unicorns. Anyway she’ll have no say in the matter and this is the police station. You’ll be parted tonight.” Red Sweet explained
“No you don’t understand this must be some kind of mistake and I can prosecute you for kidnapping me.” Then a police officer started dragging him out. ”No you wouldn’t take me, mom with come find me and when she does you’ll be sorry.”
“I’d like to see her try dragon.”
Then the vision ended.
“No” I whispered. Every bone in my body was tapped in rage, then everything stated turning dark. I teleported to the police station where they held Spike. I could feel my magic acting more violently, once I teleported.
Police Station--
I screamed. “Don't worry Spike, I'm here, I'll get you back.” Then I saw Red Sweet walking towards me.
“You must be the owner of young Spike.” Red Sweet smirked.
“Yes and if you want to live or Equestria saved from the danger in about a few mouths then, give me my son, if you know what’s good for you.”
“That’s a laugh, you save Equestria from what? [Laughter].” The rest of the room chuckled. I stood firm glaring at Red Sweet. I was so mad at him my blood was boiling.
“You have one last chance, give him back peacefully and nopony gets hurt ok” I calmly said.
“Sorry, Miss Twilight but he is not in your custody anymore. He is going to the dragon training camps so I suggest you go on and forget about him. But we charge you with illegal holding a dragon in your care for 8 years with reason that he told us a lie that you were Celestia’s student, what a joke.” Red Sweet said.
I smirked at her. She had no idea how she was dealing with. “Prepare to face your worse fear” Then I shot her with a fear spell, showing him his worse fear using dark magic. Then lots of alarms went off and the police were ordered to shoot. I blocked their attacks with my magic. Then I grabbed my son and placed him on my back. Frizzing all the police guard in place, I snapped Red Sweet out of my fear spell, finding herself frozen like the other police guards.
Then I smiled and shouted. “Now that you have all calmed down, I’m taking my son now. This could have been avoided but no you didn’t believe me. Don’t worry, I know this is a miss understanding but I’m still keeping my promise in keeping Equestria safe. I want a normal life with my son and you ponies took him away. Listen don’t take my son again or Equestria will have a bigger threat than King Sombra ever was. Actually don’t worry about him either because I’ll defeat him and bring the Crystal Empire back to keep the ‘peaceful Equestria with no dark forces what so ever’ what a joke. I’ll keep my promise as long as you don’t take him again.” I paused, Spike climbed on my back and I flew using my magic to lift myself in the air, which Starlight taught me. “Goodbye and don’t mess with me, the element of all magic and friendship or my son.” I waved flying out the window then, everything unfroze.
Police P.O.V—
“Red Sweet, what do we do, should we go after them?” One of the police offices asked.
“Yes we got to inform the princess. That was dark magic, she used. It hasn’t been used in the last 100s of years. We don’t know what where dealing with but we have a clue. She said something about the element of all magic and friendship. We need to research everything we can. And she also mentioned King Sombra and the Crystal Empire. We need to have a look into it.” The sheriff said.
Everybody was worried and shivered of the amount of magic used on them. They could feel the anger of the young mare. But they obeyed and were more than determined than ever to find out this mystery.
Back with Twilight and Spike—
As we few away from the station with my magic, I tried to reassure that everything will be alright. Spike was so scared and I promised myself to never let this happen again. “Mom, what are we going to do, we can’t go back to our apartment they know where we are staying” Spike hugged me on my back, crying and sobbing.
“Spike, we have two options either a pocket dimension or the old castle. You pick. The old castle is in the Everfree Forest I’m heading there anyway but we can have a home in a pocket dimension if you like.” I knew this was going to be an adventure. I’m a run away, yes something new to do. Then Spike answered.
Spike rubbed his eyes and answered. “If you are going there anyway let’s go there.”
“But before we go I need to pick something up first.” Then I teleported to an old shop in the ally way.
Old shop --
“Mom, where are we? Please don’t do something dangerous.” I nodded and smiled. Then he followed, I used my chaos magic to put black clothes on us so we couldn’t be recognised, then we headed inside an old store. There was old items long forgotten and on the wall was the Alicorn amulet.
“Hello, Miss how can I help you” The owner asked. I pointed to the Alicorn amulet. “I’m sorry miss but that amulet is not for sale.” I conjured up a bunched of bits in front of him and he singed gave it to me without a second thought. “Would you like it gift wrapped or in a bag” I smiled. I got the Alicorn amulet, then teleported Spike and I to the old castle.
The castle of the two royal sisters--
I made are black clothes disappear. “Spike this is the castle of the two royal sister’s, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.” I waved my hoof in the air. “But before we go inside we need to give the amulet to Zecora to protect it from evil unicorns that try to use it. And yes not just Trixie.” Then we headed out into the forest. The forest was as dark as I remembered it.
At Zecora's--
When we got there I knocked on the door, hearing a voice from inside. “Who disturbs the beauty of sleep at this hour of night?”
“Hello I’m Spike and this is my mom, Twilight” Spike greeted.
“Hello Zecora, this is going to sound a bit crazy but we need you to look after the amulet. You don’t know me but I know you and you are the best to look after the amulet. Let’s say it’s complicated and I cannot look after it. Nobody we have it and we are on the run at the minute. I beg of you to keep it safe please.”
“This is a mouth full to swallow in so come in and explain everything” Zecora offered. Spike and I agreed. I carried the amulet in my magic.
“Zecora, I know that I’m a stranger to you but you kept the amulet safe for many ye-“Then Spike covered my mouth. Spike shock his head reminding me I’m from the future don’t give too much away.
“This is of great interest to me, I agree without question. An adventure you seek and I’m taking part what excitement you face, I hope you quest turns well while every pony is at every corner you turn. Good Luck my friends, this isn’t the last time we speak and I’m sure we will speak again soon.” Zecora winked. I then knew, she knew that I knew. I was happy placed the amulet on Zecora’s table. Then Spike and I left her house.
Outside the forest--
“Seriously, mom what was that all about? Spike asked
“All will be explained but I we don’t have much time, we need to get to the castle.” We ran into the castle.
“The elements, Spike go in the other room.” He did and I focused on my friendship with my friends. I showed the elements memories on using the elements. I called on the element of magic before. Then a flash of bright light appeared. I found myself on the floor with the element of magic crown on top of my head. The rest of the elements stayed in stones meaning they are not awaken by there true bearer yet.
“Mom, where did that crown come from?” Spike asked.
“That, my dear son is the element of magic, it helped restored my full power of harmony” I put my hoof over him. “I am the element of magic and friendship to spread joy across the land” Then I muttered under my breath. “But they don’t ponies into immortal Alicorn that live a life of misery and despair for the rest of their natural born days. Watching everyone die around you and powerless to stop it.”
“You don’t have to worry about that anymore, the princess can’t hurt you here.” He gave me hug. “So what do we do now, mom?” I thought on our next move of action.
“You said you wanted to see Trixie perform, right”
“Yay” Spike thought for a moment. “Oh right let’s go.” Then I put my crown in the dimensional pocket so nobody could ever find it and only I can call on it, when needed.
“Spike since we are now run always we need a disguise.” I thought for a moment. “Spike do you want to be a pony and what colours?”
“Wait you can turn me into a pony?” He questioned.
“Yes, since ponies haven’t experienced chaos magic and or changeling magic we should be fine. Don’t ask.” I said bluntly. “Now give me colours and I’ll make it happen.”
“What about a Pegasus, orange coat and blue tail. Oh and my name could be Soprano Spike but could you really change me back to being a dragon again?” I nodded and his cutie mark was of a golden lock opened with a key beside it. Spike was happy.
“Yes,I can change you back. Do you really think I didn't have a counter spell to change you back? No, your name is Lock Tighten and Soprano Spike really. Anyway, how do you like your new look?” I asked
“I….love it and I like that name.” Then he started flapping his wings in excitement. “Thank you mom this is amazing, I’m flying. Wait what about your disguise”
I transformed. "I am going as a unicorn mare, named Midnight Eco Eclipse. My cutie is of an eclipse with a pink star in the centre. Before you asked I've always wanted that name since I was a filly, don't ask. Anyway I’m going to have a light, yellow coat. I have a curly blackish, blue mare and a bright, pink stripe in at the end. I also have a poofy tail with the same colours. Ok let’s go”
At Trixie’s show in town centre--
Then I teleported my son and I to Trixie’s show. We sat and watched as Trixie did her tricks. The crowd was wild and cheered her name. My son and I joined in.
As expected there were police looking for me and I smiled. I thought to myself, oh how good I am at running. Spike was enjoying the show. I loved how ignorant they are thinking to catch me with my magic. I’ve literally been to Tartarus for 4 year and survived the demons that tried to kill me there. I was there because of a spell gone wrong and it took me forever to find a way out. The princess didn’t know I was there until I told them after getting back 200 years ago in my time. I’m never going back there again.
