The Canterlot Gardens, known for its beautiful flowers, was a peaceful place one could go to in order to let the stress of the day away. Though today Princess Celestia was its only guest, or so she thought. She would be taking a stroll through through the royal gardens, to ease the stress from the press about the changelings in the castle, when she heard laughter, not just any laughter, but that of the Element of loyalty, Rainbow Dash. She poked her head through one of the bushes to see Twilight Sparkle doing cartwheels. 'What is going on? I though she was in the library.' She was about to say something when Twilight spoke.
"It is pretty funny isn't it?" her voice betrayed her figure, she spoke in a masculine voice.
"Yea...yea it is." she had kept chuckling, trying to get it all out. "Wait, now do Rarity acting like a pig!"
'Twilight' had a green shimmer cascade over herself to show Rarity, the element of Generosity. The faux Rarity began to sniff at the ground and began making oinking noises and rolling around in the dirt.
Rainbow began laughing and fell on her back laughing hard and wiping a few tears away as she was coming down. "Oh, that is just rich! You changeling guys aren't that bad."
Rainbows guest dropped its faux Rarity disguise showing a male changeling smiling at her "It is pretty funny, what do you.." he seemed to go a bit stiff at who was peeking at them.
'What just happened looks like hes gonna have a heart attack.' Rainbow looking confused said, "Hey, what's up? You're lookin' weird." she followed his line of sight to see Princess Celestia looking at them with a small smile on her face.
Celestia aware she had been spotted stepped more into view to say, "I hope im not interrupting anything am I?"
The changeling stiffened a bit scared til Rainbow stood in front of him to say, "Princess, I'm sorry, I knew you said to leave them to the attendants but..but.." searching for some sort of excuse to say, her thoughts went interrupted by the Princess.
"No need to explain Rainbow Dash, but I must ask, how did you get here with no one noticing? I know he could just change but what do you have to say?" Celestia asked.
"What can I say? I'm a fast flier." she said proudly.
"That you are but I must ask. Why?" she asked
"Well, iif we are gonna start this whole treaty of friendship thing witht the changelings then what good does it do to lock them away? " she said.
Celestia could only smile at what Rainbows words and said, "Yes, you are right, but, I was going to let them take time to rest and feel their hunger. The dealings with the changelings is very fragile due to the invasion attempt a few years ago. Also, the wedding of Spike and Chrysalis is making things uneasy in some of my counsil."
"Oh Celestia let them have their fun." A voice sopke. The alicorn turned to see Spike and Chrysalis there apparently, who apparently heard everything. "If me and Chrissy can get along so can others right?"
"Oh I wish it was that simple Spike, but you are right, you both are, if this treaty is to work then we must be ableto trust in one another. Go on Rainbow, you and..what is your name?" Celestia asked the changeling.
"I am Velox, my parents named me in some ancient language, I believe Latin."
"Well then Velox, you and Rainbow Dash have fun." Rainbow was about to yell something but was cut off the solar guardian, "But stay inside the castle, it is almost lunch time."
Spike giggles, "Celestia, didn't you say you wanted to see Frame Rate and Fire Flower?"
"My babies!" and with that in a flash of white light she was gone.
Everyone else, except for Spike and Rainbow, were left in sort of a trance due to the Princesses complete 180 in attitude. Spike who was used to some of the Pincesses more silly side was thinking, 'I think I left the shower on, ehh Photo has it covered."
it took a few seconds to register what happened before Chrysalis was the first to speak saying, "Velox, it seems you have made a friend, and its Rainbow Dash."
Velox spoke to say, I don't..." but was interrupted by Rainbow.
"This guy is awesome, he can change and he can fly super quick and he is hilarious of course he is my friend!" she said excitedly before hugging him.
He blushed, not because of her excited yet brash attitude but because he was starving. He hugged back and closed his eyes trying to put the feeling aside, then his stomach rumbled and he in turn blushed harder. That only made Rainbow hug him harder and then say, "Drink up as much as you need to, you're my friend and I ain't quitting on you!" As he drank, he opened his eyes to see Spike and his queen gone. He drank till he was full and..
Back with Chrysalis teling the story
"OOOH! Can we go see Auntie Rainbow and Uncle Velox later?" Frame Rate asked.
"I'll ask if you can spend the night on Saturday, is that ok?" Chrisalis asked.
"Ok, back to the story."
"Wait now what was this I hear of you and their daughter kissing on the playground?" she said with a smile on her face.
"Nothing!" he was bllushing madly and continued. "Please continue the story."
"Fine, but I wanna hear all about it."
Back to the story
As Velox and Rainbow finished their hug they didn't notice the eyes of Spike and Chrysalis on them and the queen said, "Oh isn't that cute."
"Ehh, I don'tthink a ral romance will actually happen though." the dragon said to her as they walked away.
"Oh why not?" she asked.
"Because I think Rainbow is more into mares. I mean I've never seen her with a stallion." he took a minute to think then said. "Or a mare for that matter."
"Then who knows what the future holds, she might get a chimera even." she said giggling at the impossibility.
"Oh, I would love to see that." he said giggling with her as they walked.
