Nothing. Nothing was in this little pony town well except, of course ponies. Corvo really just wanted a shrine or something he could use to contact the Outsider so he could learn where his targets were in this happy land of magic and rainbows. 'That pegasus was weird' he thought to himself.
Currently he was in an attic of an old house that did not have hay as a roof, which surprisingly was a rarity for this town which made sneaking much harder that added with all the pegasi flying around up in the sky and roofs out of the question, but luckily for him there was a lot of alleys he could hide in. At this moment in time he was counting how much ammo he had for his weapons. 'Okay so I have 35 bullets, 15 explosive bullets, 35 crossbow bolts, 15 sleep darts and 15 explosive darts. Now onto gagets 4 grenades, 2 sticky grenades, 5 bottles of choke dust, 5 bottles of baffle dust and 8 spring razors. Now weapons, 1 folding blade, 1 pistol and lastly one crossbow.' After checking out the equipment he had, and putting it all back into his coat, Corvo decided to check out his new powers.
Mist – a power that allows Corvo to turn into a faint black mist for as long as he wanted and would make him impossible to touch or hear but not invisible just much harder to see. The higher it is upgraded the less noticeable the mist is.
Erosion – a power that allows Corvo to turn almost any solid to ash as well as living things but the this will take much longer because of the bodies natural regeneration over time, resulting in a painful death because the one it is being done to can't die intill their heart has been destroyed. Higher it is upgraded the faster it goes.
Blink – a extremely fast sprint that is so fast it is much like teleporting. More upgrades will cause it to have longer range.
Dark vision – this power allows someone to see through walls and another persons line of sight if upgraded it can also allow you to see objects of interest through a wall, if upgraded thurther its range will increase intill it reaches a maximum of 1km in all directions and if upgraded more allow someone to "hear" someone else's thoughts but only if the caster it focusses on the person they want to read the thoughts of.
Stop time – allows the user to completely stop time and move but slightly slower then normal but if it is upgraded it can allow for someone to move as fast as they normally would without being spotted unless standing in front of someone intill the ability wears of which will last longer depending of how much it is upgraded then stopping at a maximum of 20 minutes for the user.
Possession – an ability allowing the user to control another living creatures body upgrading allows the user to possess intelligent life more upgrading allows it for longer a draw back to this ability is that the users body goes into the others body meaning when it wears off and the user is in a crowd people will notice the user.
Wind blast – allows the user to send a powerful blast of wind out of their hand that can send projectiles back to where they came from or just further or stunn other creatures and the more upgrading it done to it will make more powerful intill reaching its maximum strength at becoming a 100% lethal blast to human and anything smaller and somethings even larger and is able to send objects upto 60 feet.
Devouring swarm – allows the user to summon a swarm of anything eating (alive or dead) rats out of thin air, it can be used to distract enemies or kill them. Higher the upgrade the larger and hungrier the swarm gets and luckily for the user the rats don't attack them.
After about two hours of testing his new abilities he discovered that his new powers mist and erosion would be very useful in stealth operations such as getting in quietly and staying unnoticed by guards or civilians alike.
Whilst Corvo was testing his new powers the mane six, two of which were trying to get Apple Jack to calm down, were looking for the magical assassin.
"Okay girls spread out, Rainbow Dash you search for the human from the sky, Pinkie you search the town. Fluttershy and, Rarity go and try to get Applejack to calm down," Twilight ordered."And remember if you see it get the rest of us, that goes to you Dash," she warned her friends. Once all her friends had left she went back into her library to try and find a book on humans and their weaknesses, it is true she could always go speak with lyra but she didn't want that mare getting too close to the human.
Pinkie was happily hopping down the street searching for the human, she wasn't afraid of it why would she be its not like it was as bad as the legends said they were because noone is so bad it would kill a pony right, maybe hurt one really bad but not kill and eat a pony ,"Ooooh I can throw him a 'welcome to Equestria, please don't eat us party' it would have cake and snacks and punch, and it would show everypony that human really aren't that bad and..." Pinkies thought process was interrupted by a strange purple glow coming from a near by alley and a very quiet whispering, heading into the alley she found an odd shrine thing. It had small purple lanterns around it and two large bits of purple silk that met above the main peice that was three legged table that had a large chunk of bone with a weird symbol on it. The whispers were coming from the bone and Pinkie for some reason felt drawn to it and was slowly walking to the stone, once she had it in her hooves she didn't want to put it back,"I think I'll keep this." She said to herself.
Meanwhile Corvo was watching an orange mare, who for some unknown reason was barricading the windows on her house whilst what looked like her family were trying to find out why.
"What the hay are you doing, Applejack?" Asked the large red stallion.
"I'm protectin yall," this 'Applejack' called to the stallion.
"What'cha mean, six?" Asked a small yellow filly.
With a sigh the orange mare told her family that some of her friends, whose names were Twilight and Fluttershy, had found a human in a crater and left to find their other friends but when they got there the human was gone, but Corvo didn't care about that what he cared about was that he was now known 'well shit. This could complicate things for me, especially if their searching for me' he thought to him self.
"But, Applejack humans are old myths, stories told to little kids to make them be good. Their not real," said her older brother,"did you even see it."
"Well no, but Twi and Fluttershy told me what they saw, and I believe 'em" replied th smaller mare.
As the two were having they're debate Corvo noticed a white unicorn with a purple mane and the same butter yellow pegasus running down the road to the house. When they got their the mares started to say that what Applejack was saying was true and eventually won the argument but then started to try and get the orange one to calm down and help them search for the "brutish" human, those words from little miss marshmallow. It took a while and for a rainbow maned mare to help the two but they eventually got her on the search and they all ran off down the road apart from "Rainbow Dash" who was looking at the barn Corvo was in suspicesly, after about a minute of her eying the barn she took the first couple steps towards the wooden structure he was in. Switching dark vision on he read the pony's mind 'okay, Dash don't be scared, its just a human' she thought to herself.
Corvo then turned into his mist form and hid in a dark corner of the room to conceal himself In the darkness, a couple seconds later and the barn doors opened and the mare stepped in, searching for him in the darkness when she didn't find anything she decided to leave.
