It was morning in the kingdom, well to be precise 2am in the morning, and Fluttershy woke up exhausted from the crying. She yawned and Angel woke up feeling tired and angry, he was up all night keeping Fluttershy company, sometimes he wished he had earplugs.
"Yawn. On Angel I just don't know what to do, mother and father have never been angry at me before."
The bunny just rolled it's eyes. Tears started to form in her eyes again but she quickly wiped them away
*sigh* " well I better go down there and apologize. "
Fluttershy hopped off her bed and tiptoed to the stairs, one she was at the top of the stairs she started to hear her mother and father whisper from the hall.
" What are they doing down there?"
She whispered to herself. Carefully she stepped down the stairs trying not to make a sound,
" Almost there..."
CREAKKKKK......
Fluttershy flinched, holding her breath as if she was in outa space just hoping she didn't attract any attention. She stood there for a while waiting, and when she knew the cost was clear she continued on. Suddenly she heard hoofsteps coming towards her. The steps became louder and louder until she heard a voice ask.
" What are you doing down here this early in the mornin' sugarcube?"
Fluttershy sighed turned around to see it was Applejack and replied
"I, um couldn't sleep." The pony smiled and told Fluttershy to follow, Fluttershy agreed.
They arrived in the servant's dorms, Applejack lead Fluttershy to her room. Once inside Applejack turned on the light and gestured Fluttershy to sit on the bed.
"Want something to drink or eat?" She asked.
Fluttershy looked at the southern pony and smiled.
"No thank you Applejack, I'm fine."
Fluttershy then immediately stopped smiling and looked down, and started crying. Applejack saw this and felt as if she should comfort her friend
"Hey, hold on there sugarcube, what's up?" She asked.
Fluttershy looked up a little bit before hiding behind her mane. Applejack knew Fluttershy was a very shy pony so she decided to wait until Fluttershy was ready.
After a few minutes Fluttershy explained to Applejack why she was so upset, Applejack was surprised of what she was hearing but continued to listen.
"And well, that's why I went downstairs."
Fluttershy said finishing her story. Applejack nodded and looked at Fluttershy with concern, the earth pony knew that Fluttershy has never gotten in trouble before. Fluttershy started crying again and Applejack hugged her tightly letting the princess cry on her shoulder.
" look sugarcube, I know you think they were being hard on you,but you don't have to worry. Things like this happen, its normal.. Now come on buckerup. You got a big day tomorrow, get some rest. Besides you're gettin me all wet."
Fluttershy raised her head and started to laugh, Applejack then smiled and laughed as well. The two slowly gained hold of their laughter an Applejack took Fluttershy back to her own bedroom and tucked her in.
"Yawn, goodnight Applejack." Fluttershy said tiredly.
"Goodnight sweetheart."
Applejack then turned off the lights and closed the door. Fluttershy smiled and fell asleep. Outside hanging from a tree branch a figure watched the princess fall asleep and he chuckled.
" Goodnight, my beauty... "
