Chapter 1: Fluttershy

I trotted into town on a fine Tuesday. Rainbow Dash had cleared the clouds and the sun was shining brightly in the fine, blue morning sky. I sighed. Pulling out a list, I thought how many bits I had spent on my animals. Of course, I didn't care, but I was going broke. I needed to get a part time job. Finishing my thoughts, I trotted into town. Looking behind my shoulder, I saw Twilight's castle. Technically, I lived in it, but I said to Twi that I would rather live in my cottage with my animals. But maybe I could work as a vet in town... I shook my head. I needed to focus. Town Square could be busy on Tuesdays, so I needed to hurry before everything was sold out. I pulled out a checklist.

"Carrots. Four bits for a bunch of twenty." I mumbled to myself. As I walked towards the stand, I bumped into Twilight.

I blinked.

"Oh! Hello Twilight. How are you doing?" I said

"Oh! I was looking for you! Celestia asked me to do my first princess duties, and they were to tell her if I felt the air getting thicker... Honestly, I didn't understand. Anyways, now I understand. I sent a letter to her and she said that it was an interference in the fabric of reality. I dunno what that means. Anyways, I need to get going. I promised Spike that I would get some bread and berries." Twilight said, then trotted off. Ponies were starting to come and do their shopping. I was starting to get pushed around, so I spread my wings and rose above the crowd. The carrot stand was on the other side of the square so being a pegasus could be a huge advantage. Sighing, I took off towards the other side of town.

"Hey! Fluttershy! Come down here! I wanna talk to you!" Right away I recognized the high pitched voice. Pinkie. I started lowering myself into the crowd. We were near the very center of town. There was a perfect circle in the center where ponies didn't dare to stroll through. Maybe Twilight had told them not to go into it...

"Okay, I finally thought of a prank to pull on Dashie, but I need your help. I need you to get a bunch of storm clouds and put them in a perfect sphere around her. Then, I need you to strike one. Make sure it's aimed away from her. Can you do that?" Pinkie asked me. I stared at her. She stared at me. I looked away. I had looked to the sky above town square. A single cloud was gathering just above the clearing in the town.

Sighing, I looked away.

"Pinkie, I don't wanna hurt your feeling, but I don't like doing pranks." I said. Looking back at the cloud, I noticed it was... Glowing? A humming sound washed through the air. The air seemed electrified, charged somehow. A crackling sound leaped into the air, causing me to cover my ears. A single lighting bolt dropped out of the cloud, and when it dissipated there was one pony where it had touched down. Six more flew through the air, leaving six more ponies laying on the ground. I could only make out one figure as my vision started going fuzzy. She, I think it was a she, had curly cloud white hair and a sky blue body.

"What in Equestria is going on here?" Mayor Mare asked. Shouting over the loud murmur of the crowd, Twilight Sparkle, Princess of friendship, stepped up and said "I know them. They are old friends from Canterlot. From my school."

I saw the ponies wobbling on their hooves, but I couldn't define their gender.

"Okay Twilight. You may take them to your kingdom." Mayor Mare responded with a sigh.

Twilight thanked the mayor, then trotted through the busy storm of multi-colored ponies. Everypony started peeling away from each other to clear a path for the lavender princess to get to the clearing in the crowd.

Finally I managed to gather my thoughts. My vision cleared up and made a successful attempt to follow my B.F.F. through the large gathering. Flying over the winding roads of Ponyville, I shortly arrived at the crystallized castle. The large doors opened with my arrival. Twilight rushed to the entrance with a frazzled look on her face.

"Twi? What's wrong?" I asked.

"Oh.. I don't know these ponies. They barely know how to walk!!" She said.

I walked into the beautiful castle, following the violet alicorn. She led me into a room full of books; her library. Seven ponies stood in the center of the vast room, wobbling on their legs. one was making an attempt to fly, but ending up faceplanting and screaming in frustration. That pony was the blue one with the curly mane. Sitting down in one of the comfortable library chairs, I watched the ponies make many failed attempts to stand up, do magic or fly. I decided to go help the blue mare.

"Okay, I'll help you. First, I'll teach you how to walk on four legs." I laid down. Then i stood up again, slowly detailing on how to do it quickly. Then I started to walk. "Okay, first you put your front right hoof forward, then your front left hoof, then you do the same with your back legs. I started walking faster. They started walking too, brightening up a little bit.

"What's your name?" asked a grey mare, with wavy brown hair. She was also a pegasus.

" I'm Fluttershy. What's yours?" I asked, shyly.

"I can introduce you to all of us. Okay, the blue..." said the grey pegasus.

"Pony." I told her.

"Thanks. The blue pony is Lucy, I'm Skye, The roan unicorn over there is Coulson, The Orange stallion over there is Fitz, the white unicorn? is Simmons, the black earth pony over there is May and the green stallion is Trip." Skye said.

"Oh, that's a lot of names to remember." I responded to the list of names.

Sighing, I sat down on the crystal flooring of the shimmering library. I was tired of speaking so loudly. I was talking pretty loudly for me, and I was a quiet pony. I slowly stretched my wings because I had kept them closed during the whole session. Twilight Sparkle asked me if I could teach the pegasi how to fly, and I agreed.

I guess I'm coming back here tomorrow.
