-What if she doesn’t like me… should I ask her?...I don’t know what to do!-
In a sudden gasp, Applejack woke up the next morning… thinking about Rainbow. “What in the name of golden apples has gotten into me? All I can think about is Rainbow… I need to see Twilight about this, I’m mighty sure she’ll know why I’m beginning to have all o’ these strong feelings for Rainbow…”Applejack looked in the mirror and shook her head, causing her mane to fall back into its normal place.
Applejack walked out the door and decided she would try and see Twilight; she was getting worried at the fact that she was caring for someone so much. It was a shock for Applejack when she was beginning to have thoughts she never have had before.
Just then, a toned voice came from behind Applejack “Hey Applejack?” She turned round to notice the one thing she wanted to avoid till she saw Twilight.
“Rainbow… uh… what you doing here?” Applejack tried to hide her discomfort around Rainbow Dash.
“Oh you know, just came to say that the party is almost ready. You know, the one Twilight was planning for Pinkie Pie” Applejack forgot and realised that she wouldn’t get any alone time with Twilight if this party lasted all day… and knowing Pinkie Pie will be there, it would last the entire day.
“Oh… yeah, the party… don’t worry I’ll… I’ll be there” Rainbow noticed that Applejack was uncomfortable, despite Applejacks attempt to hide it. Rainbow could read her like a book.
“Applejack, are you… okay? You seem a bit jumpy today” Applejack knew Rainbow found out. Applejack just gave an unconvincing nod and tipped her hat, as if to say goodbye to Rainbow.
Rainbow just flew off, allowing Applejack to give out a hesitated relived sign. “I have to go see if I can get Twilight before the party starts” She galloped towards the library. Applejack got to the door, she heard Twilight talking to Spike, it must have been something to do with Spike’s midnight trip.
Applejack knocked on the door three times… The door opened with a purple aura around it, she walked in only to see Spike sitting on the floor with Twilight overhead.
“Spike, why did you do that? It got me so worried!” Twilight was upset that Spike went out at night without her permission; Applejack could see it in Twilights expression.
Spike rose from his sitting stance and pointed at Twilight; he had an angry yet tired tone In his voice. “Because I’m not a baby any more, I can go out whenever I want and you ranting at me wasn’t helping!”
Immediately, Spike felt sorry for what he said as Twilights ears flopped down and she had a saddened look on her face.
“I’m sorry Spike, but please tell me next time!” Applejack felt even more emotionally sick, not just from her feelings for Rainbow, but now for how sorry she felt for Twilight.
“Uh… Twilight? Can I talk to you in private about something” Applejack tried to be as gentle as she could with what she said, she didn’t want to upset Twilight more than she already was from the dragon showing authority to her.
“Oh hey Applejack, sure… I have plenty of time before the party starts and I wouldn’t mind having a chat with you” Twilight’s sad and uncomfortable look quickly turned into the normal happy mare she usually was, it was amazing how quickly she could get over something.
Spike walked upstairs again and Twilight motioned to Applejack to head into the room next to her. They entered the room and Twilight shut the door behind them, quietly. “So Applejack, what do you want to talk to me about?”
Applejack froze and thought about what she was going to tell her… -Should I tell her the whole thing? Should I tell her how I feel? Should I even be here?!-
“Uh… Twilight, can you keep this a secret for me? Just you and me.” Twilight gave a happy nod with glee, Applejack knew Twilight wanted to know the secret because of how cheerful she was acting.
“Okay then… well…” After a couple minutes of silence, Applejack came out with it, she said it as if it was breaking to get out… “I have feelings for Rainbow!” It sounded rushed, and Applejack blushed slightly with a frown on her face.

Twilight knew what Applejack meant, she knew that Applejack always had deep feelings for Rainbow, but they were never so… impulsive.
“Are you meaning that you… Lov-” She was cut off by Applejacks shout at her.
“Yes! Twilight, I’ve been having dreams about her; I’ve been paying a lot more attention to her… I feel awkward around her now when I never used to!” Twilight put her hoof on her chin in concentration, it took her a while to process what Applejack was feeling.
“I think you're just growing Applejack, your body has decided that its time to find a partner, it seems to have chosen another mare though” Applejack grew a big red blush over her face, only to have Twilight comfort her by putting a hoof on her shoulder.
“So what do I do Twilight? I can’t just sit here” Twilight knew how to respond to this.
“Maybe you should tell her how you feel about her, you know… act out” Applejack downed her head, facing at the ground… she sounded like she was crying, it was noticeable in her voice.
“I can’t Twi… I just cant, how would Rainbow react? She might think I’m weird, then she would hate me an-” She was stopped by Twilights hoof being put over her mouth, lifting her head up. Only to notice Twilight smiling, it was blurry because of the tears in her eyes.
“Rainbow would never judge you because of something so silly, she would understand it.” It made Applejack smile and hug Twilight; it was the kind of hug that was warm, soft… and full of emotions.
“I still can’t though… she wouldn’t feel the same about me” She frowned again, coming out of the hug. Twilight opened the door and stood at the frame.
“You wont know until it happens” It made Applejack comfortable, she dawned a smile and walked out the door with Twilight, who was taking a book off her shelf with her horn.
“Here… read this, it might help you” She put the book on the table, Applejack walked up to it, only to read the cover.
“Emotions and Feelings” Applejack read the title with a soft calm voice.
“Yeah, it helped me with my filly hood, I’m sure it can help you with what you’re going through” Twilight always had that good sense about her, it was reassuring. It made Applejack happy.
“Thanks Twi, how can I repay you?” Applejack wiped the tears from her cheeks and walked over to Twilight, who was analysing a blueprint of Sugar Cube Corner.
“You could help me make sure this party wont be a disaster” Twilight looked back at Applejack, who nodded and walked over to the check list that Twilight pointed to, Applejack would call out something on the list to have Twilight say if it was all setup.
It’s going to turn out to be an amazing party.

The party was only one hour away when Rainbow decided that she should get moving over to Twilight. She flew across the sky, skimming town hall and lowering down to have a talk with one of her friends, who was leaving the Ponyville Post Office.
“Hey Ditsy? How you been doing?” The lazy eyed Pegasus looked over to where the voice came from, only to notice that it was her Winter Wrap Up captain.
“Hi Rainbow Dash!” The voice was slightly muttered… but Rainbow understood her disability and acted as if she never had it.
“So Ditsy, you going to be at Twilights party?” Rainbow seemed happy to talk to someone who she understood so well, unlike Applejack who was acting strange this morning. But Rainbow never thought of it and decided to let it slip by, after all… Applejack was her friend, she could have been tired.
Ditsy pulled out a letter from her saddlebags and handed it over to Rainbow “I’ll try, I need to finish these… uh… Deliveries!” Reading the letter her head, Rainbow never usually got mail or any form of communication from outside Ponyville.
“What’s this Ditsy?” Rainbow asked, concerned if she got the mail mixed up again.
“It’s your mail!” Ditsy always had a happy attitude. Rainbow liked Ditsy for always being positive despite some lonely years and some mockery because of her out swayed eyes.
“I never get mail… who is it from?”
“Its from… uh… I think it was… Celest… Celestia!” Ditsy had the memory of a goldfish, it caused her to forget a lot of things.
Rainbow grew a huge smile on her face as Ditsy told her who it was from “Princess Celestia? It’s from the Princess!?” Rainbow opened the letter as fast as she could, almost tearing the thing apart. She read the letter out loud, for everypony to hear, as if she was bragging.
“Dear Rainbow Dash.
You have been invited to the annual Wonderbolts meet up at the castle in Canterlot. This invitation was sent from Celestia herself. We hope to see you there. The event will start in seven days.

“Oh… my… god…” Rainbow shouted really loud, almost everypony within a mile radius heard her. Or at least that’s what it felt like to Rainbow.
“Congratulations Rainbow Dash!” Ditsy said, after she got over the shock of Rainbow’s sudden shout. Ditsy smacked her hooves together, creating a clop sound. She knew how much Rainbow Dash wanted an opportunity like this.
“Ditsy! I can’t thank you enough!” Rainbow and Ditsy hugged each other while everypony wondered what all the noise was about.
“Ditsy, I better get heading over to Twilight’s… I know how much she wants me to be there before the party” Ditsy let go of Rainbow Dash and nodded politely, making her eyes spin in her head a little.

Pinkie was bouncing around in Carousel Boutique as a white coated Unicorn walked through the door with a bunch of gems in her Saddlebags.
“Oh, Pinkie dear, what are you doing here at my store?” Rarity walked slowly over to Pinkie.
“Ohh Rarity! You're back, you see I was bored, so I decided I should come over to see you, but you were not in. So I thought to myself what a surprise it would be for me to be in your shop for when you come back!” she said, still bouncing around Carousel Boutique.
“Well… thank you I guess, but is there anything I can do for you Pinkie… after all your stunning party is going to be ready in less than an hour” Rarity heard Pinkie do a loud gasp and sprung in front of her, slightly startling her.
“A dress, you could make me a pink dress with glitter, streamers, candy… and Cake!!” Pinkie was bouncing all over the shop as Rarity gave out a sigh.
“Pinkie, I already made you a dress like that… remember? You used it at the Gala!” Rarity looking slightly disappointed at Pinkie who seemed to have forgotten they even went to the Gala.
Floating in mid air, Pinkie put her hoof on her chin in concentration. “Ohhh… that dress, I don’t know where it is Rarity!” Rarity pointed over to the small clothes rack.
“It's right where you left it Pinkie, now please do be careful… I don’t want to have to clean up my shop again after what you did last… time…” Rarity hesitated as she heard a loud bang behind her, and stuff falling. Looking round at Pinkie, who was covered in streamers and glitter, Rarity had an angry face on her.
“Oops, my bad!” Pinkie giggled as she launched herself over to the clothes rack.
“Pinkie! Now I have to clean this up… why are you so… messy?” Rarity got startled again as Pinkie appeared in front of her with icing on her face.
“What was that Rarity?” Pinkie was still chewing on food as Rarity backed away in disgust.
“Pinkie! Eww, clean up first, I don’t want you getting icing in my mane!” Rarity went over to the mirror to see if Pinkie’s sudden appearances caused her hair to have anything in it.
“Okie Dokie Lokie!” And Pinkie vanished, allowing Rarity to breath for a moment.

Fluttershy walked into Sugar Cube Corner, only to see that it was covered in streamers and party decorations. She then remembered that the party was today.
“Hey Fluttershy!” Came a voice from behind the counter, Fluttershy looked over to see that Twilight was standing there.
“Oh Twilight, I forgot that the party was today, I’m sorry…” Twilight went over to Fluttershy and placed a hoof on her shoulder, with a small smile on her face.
“Oh don’t worry, it’s fine… you will still stay for the party though? Wont you?” Twilight let go of Fluttershy who gave a satisfied nod of agreement.
“Although Twilight I might have to leave early, my pets will need feeding”
“Of course Fluttershy, we won’t mind” Twilight gave Fluttershy a happy smile.
Just then, Rarity walked through the door… strangely, not wearing anything fancy, in fact… she wasn’t wearing anything. “Uh, hi Rarity… why are you not wearing anything fancy like you normally do?”
“Come on darling, you can’t be serious. This is a party for Pinkie Pie, it’s going to be… messy” Rarity raised an eye up at Twilight who rolled her eyes in realisation.
Rarity walked over to Fluttershy, who was waiting in the corner. “Fluttershy, darling, how are you this fine evening?” Rarity seemed concerned about Fluttershy, who was not as active around Ponyville as she normally was.
“Oh I’m fine Rarity, how have you been?” Fluttershy walked from the corner she was standing in, towards Rarity.
Rarity put a hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder, Twilight walked behind the counter of Sugar Cube Corner, only to notice a long Rainbow streak heading for the door.
Rainbow Dash flew through the door, almost hitting the wall. The Rainbow streak faded away as she slid across the ground because of all the speed she picked up. “Am I late?” Rainbow seemed concerned; she never wanted to be late when a party was held for Pinkie Pie. She knew how Pinkie could get.
“No Rainbow, in fact… you’re early, why don’t you go talk to Rarity and Fluttershy, I’m still trying to make sure this party doesn’t turn the wrong way” Twilight pulled out a clip board and started writing on it, she was concentrating hard.
Rainbow walked over to Rarity and Fluttershy who were talking… well, Rarity was talking. Rainbow interrupted Rarity, who was talking about how her sales were going up. “Fluttershy, where have you been lately?”
Fluttershy looked over at Rainbow who had a concerned look on her face, “Sorry Rainbow, I’ve just been tending to my animals a lot more, they required my attention” Fluttershy dimmed her head as Rainbow walked over.
“It’s alright Fluttershy, we know how busy you can be… Rarity, what have you been doing lately?” Rarity still looked annoyed at the fact that Rainbow interrupted her while talking to Fluttershy.
“Oh I’m fine Rainbow; I was just telling Fluttershy how good my sales are going. I guess you’re doing the usual napping and flying?” Rainbow put a smile on her face and nodded, Rainbow never took it as an insult because that was generally what she got up to.
Applejack walked through the door with Pinkie Pie blind folded, slowly edging her closer to the table with a cake on it. “Alright Pinkie, be careful… this time let me take off the blindfold before you dig in”
“Oh I’m so excited, what did you guys do, oh i hope there is cake, streamers!” Pinkie took a big gasp “Balloons!!” Twilight smiled as the usual thoughts of Pinkie were true.
“Alright Pinkie, here we are… now let me take the blindfold off” Applejack took the blindfold off and Pinkie saw all her friends standing there in a line.
“Happy Birthday!” they all shouted it louder than anticipated, but Pinkie was busy bouncing around the room in joy that they all threw a party, just for her. It had everything she wanted.
“Oh my god you guys are the best!” Just then, Pinkie dived into the cake on the table. She came out the cake, covered in icing, she swirled her tongue around her body, licking up all the icing that covered her whole body.

They partied for hours, Pinkie was having fun, everypony was. Not shortly after, everypony with an invitation showed up. The first ones to arrive were Bon Bon and Lyra, who always showed up together. Next in came Ditsy who headed straight over to Rainbow as she entered, then Golden Harvest, Berry Punch, Sparkler and many, many more.
Applejack walked up to Rainbow Dash, nervously. Applejack thought in her head –I have to tell her how I feel about her, this is my chance. What if she doesn’t like me any more? What if she will hate me? - Applejack shook her head to get all the bad thoughts out of her head.
Applejack prodded Rainbow, who was in a deep conversation with Ditsy Doo. “Uh Rainbow, can I tell you something?” Rainbow paused her conversation with Ditsy and turned to Applejack, who was shaking in fear.
“Uh sure… Are you okay Applejack? You seem a bit shaky” Rainbow lifted her eye, only making Applejack even more nervous.
“Rainbow… I just wanted… to tell you that… I” Applejack stuttered and paused in fear, Rainbow waited patiently for the thing Applejack had to say.
“Rainbow… I… Lov-” just as she was about to say it, a large bang happened, making the entire building shake. Causing everypony to freeze, in shock and concern on what just happened…
