Thousands of years ago there was a war this war was the most brutal and goriest war imaginable on the planet of Equis, many lost their lives in battle and many lives were ruined in the end the world was in complete chaos. Tired of the constant death and destruction the world’s leaders hosted a tournament, this tournament was a tournament that would determine how much power and land each species would obtain, the griffon, dragons, and the ponies. The tournament would be a fight between the species greatest fighters and the last fighter to stand gave power and wealth to their people this tournament was called the Phoenix Battle Royal. The dragons were the more superior in every way their harden scales would make it extremely hard for other species to attack and have any effects on them not to mention that their fire breath gave them an advantage in long range combat. Basically the dragons had most of the world in their claws and dominion over the other species. But that all changed when the leaders of ponies Princess Celestia and Princess Luna made a deal with the griffons to fight together. On the day of the tournament the Princess Luna made a bet with the dragons.
“King Firestorm my best warrior and the Griffons will fight your best warrior in a handicap match, if we win then you will give us eighty percent of your lands.” Princess Luna said.
“Ha bring any challenger you want my son Charblazer is the best fighter alive no one can defeat him.” King Firestorm replied. King Firestorm was 8’11, he had grey and bright orange scales and blue eyes. He wore black robes and a golden helmet.
“Alright then Wi….”
“But if you lose then you and the Griffon will have to give up your remaining lands and all your females will be slave girls, including you and your sister.” King Firestorm cuts her off.
“(Sigh) Fine Wind Smasher please step forward.”
“Yes your highness.” Wind Smasher replied. Wind Smasher was an earth pony that had orange eyes, short and straight grey mane, and sky blue coat. He had an average muscular build and wore nothing but black martial art pants with a grey belt and black armbands. ”Are you ready Steel Claws?”
“As always my friend.” Steel Claws replied. Steel Claws was griffon he had red eye’s black fur and red feathers on his wings and head. He was more muscular and taller than Wind Smasher but actually younger than him by three years. He wore his red martial art uniform with a black belt.
The two made their way onto the arena as they did they met Charblazer standing there with a cocky smile on his face while he was cracking his knuckles. He had blue eyes and silver scales all over also he was taller and more muscular than the two he wore green martial arts pants and grey belt around his waist.
“So are you ready to be killed.” He replied.
“Oh don’t think it is us who will be killed today because we have a secret weapon.” Steel Claws said.
“Steel Claws be quiet!!!” Wind Smasher said in a stern tone.
“Secret weapon you say well do pray tell what it is show me.” Charblazer said
“Well the cats out of the back we might as well, Steel Claw lets go.” He replied then got in his horse stance (no pun intended).
“Right!” Steel Claw replied.
The duo made a straight dash towards Charblazer, Wind Smasher was the closest to he decided to start the attack by quickly jabbed his fingers all over Charblazer’s body followed by Steel Claw doing a flying kick to the chest sending him back.
“You fools a simple distraction and kick won’t do you any good.” Charblazer said then dashed, he then decked Wind Smasher in the face tossing him launching him across the arena he also round house kicked Steel Claw in the ribs sending him flying out of the arena. As the doctor check on him they found Steel Claw unconscious and bleeding from his head at the same time coughing up blood.
“Steel Claw is out of bounce and is unable to continue.” They announced.
“Timeout.” Luna called out then made her way to Wind Smasher. ”Wind Smasher you need to perform the special attack now or else we will all have to face enslavement for eternity.”
“Don’t worry Princess I have a plan.” He replied with a smile.
Wind Smasher got back in the arena and Charblazer was there waiting for him, he could feel the tension rise and the pressure getting heavier and heavier in every step he took. Charblazer got into his combat stance and smirked.
“Are you ready to be crushed?”
“I will get you back for hurting Steel Claw.”
“Well you’re going to have to prove it to me.” Charblazer said the rushed at Wind Smash. “Have at it Wind Smasher!!!”
Wind Smasher got into his defensive stance and prepared himself for the fight that was ahead of him. Charblazer started with a barrage of punches every fist was flying after Wind Smasher and all he could was block them but the more he blocked the more ground he was losing so he decided to dodge and see if he could counter Charblazer before he would fall out of bounce. The next fist Charblazer threw Wind Smasher dodged by jumping out of the way while in mid-air he tried to kick him in the side but instead of hitting his side Charblazer re-countered by grabbing him by his leg and slamming Wind Smasher into the ground.
“Wind Smasher!!!” Princess Luna cried out.
There was a crater in the area where Wind Smasher was thrown and in the middle of it all was him. Wind Smasher was bruised and was bleeding from his head and right arm.
“(Huff) I really felt (Huff) that one.” Wind Smasher said in a painful tone. He then saw a foot coming towards his head, instantly he back rolled then jumped out of the crater.”(Huff) Damn the only thing keeping me going is the adrenaline I have I’m going to have to use it my new technique now or never.”
“You may have dodged me crushing you but you’re only delaying the inevitable.” Charblazer said.
“Well your just going have to try harder I won’t make easy for you.” Wind Smasher taunted.
“Oh I think I will.” Charblazer replied the dashed towards Wind Smasher with all his might and yelled, “HAVE AT IT WIND
SMASHER!!!!!” Charblazer was moving so fast that all everyone saw was a silver blur.
“Where in the name of Celestia did he go…?” Wind Smasher said but then was interrupted by a sudden pressure colliding in his stomach, the pressure was so intense the he fell on his knees and started to cough up blood.
“This is my greatest technique I call it….” Charblazer said but was still not seen until he was behind Wind Smasher. “Instant Kill.”
“Wha...” Was the only Wind Smasher could say before getting kicked in the ribs flying to the edge of the arena.
“Now his is where it ends for you!!!” Charblazer yells then runs at Wind Smasher with all his might. “This is the end for you!!! Wait what?” Charblazer said as he instantly fell on his knees. “What happened why can’t I move?”
“Well it seem the paralyzing technique finally worked.”
“You’re what?”
“You see when it started to jab my finger at you thought it was a distraction but in reality it was one my new techniques.”
“Techniques?”
“Yes I call it the ‘Shower of a Thousand Needles’ this technique stops all movement in the muscle and leaves you useless.”
“I can’t believe I fell for that.”
“Now it’s time to use my Ultimate Technique!!!!” Wind Smasher said then got into a horse stance. He started to concentrate as he did a white aura surrounded him. “You see I was infused with the elements they give me the energy of three alicorn which is enough to take you down, now take this ‘Wind Style Dragon Fist’ he said then raised his fist in the sky. A white giant dragon suddenly emerged from his fist and roared loudly. “Now let’s finish this!!! CHA!!!” He said then punched with all his might as he did the dragon followed in his direction of his fist.
“This can’t be I was supposed to be victorious I was supposed to be the one to win!!!” Charblazer yelled before he was blasted by the dragon and flying off the stage into the nearest wall. He was covered in cuts and vomiting up blood, even though his eyes were open you could not see the pupils at all just pure white.
“Wind Smasher is victorious Equestria win.” The judge announces. A crowd of ponies and griffons roar with happiness finally being able to claim new land as their own and start better lives.
“Curse you pones and griffons I swear one day I will have my revenge and you will be under our control!!!” King Firestorm said the left the stadium followed by his unconscious son that was being carried by his servant.
Wind Smasher gave a tired but satisfied smile, “You’re wrong as long as there are fighters like me and Steel Claws to stop you and your tyrannical greed you will never own us you can never break our will.” He said then dropped on his knee’s clutching his side although he’d won his body had token quite the beating he was sure that some of his ribs were broken and possible some crushed organs.
“Wind Smasher are you okay?” Princess Luna said as she rushed over to help him up.
“I’m fine Princess, nothing a little healing magic won’t fix.” He replied as they both walk off the stadium with Luna carrying him on her shoulder.
“You know you can just call me Luna after all we are in a relationship you know.”
“Heh guess but still I hope that the words I told Firestorm will come to pass.”
“I’m sure they will, you have never been wrong about anything but there is something I need to tell you-.”
“Luna promise me that in the future you will teach generation upon generation of our ways and always fight for the weak.” Wind Smasher said then passed out.
“I promise Wind I promise.” She said with a smile. ”I guess I’ll have to tell you later about the new addition to our lives.” She adds on while using her free arm to rub her stomach.
After the battle between Wind Smasher and Charblazer the ponies and griffons explored the new land the Griffon Kingdom decided to take the mountains while Equestria took more off the flat and grass lands even though they had cover some of the land more was still to be discovered. This is when Equestria went into a prosperous phase and became one of the most powerful nations.
Present time Manehatten
A young pegasus stallion possibly twenty one year’s only is walking down the ever so busy streets of Manehatten he has a dark blue spiky mane and grey coat, his eyes were cyan and he had an average muscular build and was 5’9. He wore a navy blue shirt and some black jeans, just then his phone rang as he pulled it out he answered it.
“Hello.” He said in a care free voice.
“Where the hell are you?!?” The person said on the other line. “You were supposed to be teaching the afternoon class!!!”
“Oh I was Dax I’m sorry I kinda got preoccupied.” The stallion replied.
The one known as Dax gave could only sigh and say. “Why am I not surprised let me guess Miss Citrus needed help moving her fruit cart.”
“Hehe yeah.”
“(Sigh).”
“Look on the bright side at least we get smoothies.”
“You always have to look on the bright side don’t you.”
“I’m more of the kind of guy to look at a glass half full, any ways I’m almost there.”
“Good the kids are getting impatient see you soon Swift.”
The one know as Swift had finally made it to his location it was a small two story building that wasn’t in the best condition but still on one piece it had a sign above that said, The Wind Phoenix Dojo, as he got in he saw his usual class there was Rose Jumper, a pegasus filly who has a thing for fighting first and asking questions later she has a sky blue coat, short curly white mane and green eyes. She normally wears her training clothes which is an orange tank top is and white shorts. Next to her was Jason Vector a human boy, his skin is slightly tanned, he has black straight hair, and brown eyes Jason is the logical one he always thinks ahead and can formulate a plan with ease. Right now he is wearing the standard Wind Phoenix martial art gi with his yellow belt. Then there was Sea Breeze and earth pony filly she has a light green coat, a long and straight purple mane. Like Jason she is wearing her uniform with a white belt unlike the others she is extremely shy and hesitant when it comes to a fight she joined the dojo mostly because her parents wanted her to start defending herself from bullies and it was the cheapest Dojo that didn’t have a psychopathic instructor .
“Sensei your finally here we can start training.” Rose Jumper said in her enthusiastic voice.
“Okay kiddo calm down.” Swift replied while giving her a reassuring smile. “As soon as I suit up we begin class.”
“Yeah why do you have to be so annoying Rose?” Jason said with agitation in his voice.
“Well why you have to be such a buzz kill Jay.”
“Ugh I told you not to call me that.”
“Kids calm you can resolve this on the mat.” Swift said. “By the way were is Dax.”
“Oh um Mr. Dax went into the office he said he need to check some files.” Sea Breeze said quietly but enough for Swift to hear.
“He is, well you guys start your warm ups then we will begin.” Swift told them.
“YES SIR!!!!” The children said.
“Good.” Swift said with a smile then headed toward his office. As he reached the door he heard lots of paper shuffling and frustrated grunts. “(Sigh) He’s over working himself again.” He to himself then proceeded to open the door.
Once he got inside he found Dax siting at the desk with a papers surrounding him. Dax is a human he is around eighteen years old and is was 5’7, he has short brown hair that slightly spikey and he has red eyes, he was wearing a brown shirt that had a taco with a sword in the middle, white cargo shorts and brown parkour shoes. As Dax finally stopped looking at the paper he saw Swift standing at the door with a smirk on his face.
“There you are next time why don’t you just get here before Miss Citrus has to set up her fruit stand.”
“No promises bro, say what’s with all the papers?”
Dax face then looked serious. ”There the bills for the dojo and apartment.”
“Oh I see.”
“Swift we are overdue on our rent and with the payment we get off of our students it’s not enough.”
“(Sigh) I know we will think of something don’t worry, but for now I’m going back to train the kids.”
“All right we’ll talk about this later.”
Canterlot Castle
Princess Celestia, Princess Twilight, and Princess Luna were sitting down in the international board room for an important meeting. There were leaders from all over the world, there was the Griffon Kingdom allies of Equestria, Diamond Dog Society, the Dragon Nation and Earth Alliance which also partners with Equestria.
“So we all seem to have a problem.” Celestia spoke in her calm usual manner. “New island has been found by the humans on Equis and they wish to obtain it but the dragons said that they have already found it and was planning to start a civilization it I feel as though we should negotiate about this like civil beings.”
“Celestia there is no need for negotiation my Dragon scouts found this land before those fleshy hairless apes.” King Firestorm the Second said. King Firestorm the second looked a lot like the first the only difference was that he had is that this on had an eye patch on his right eye.
“I rather be a hairless ape then an overgrown iguana and your lying my men found the island first.” Said Ambassador Mary William. Mary was about 5’2 and had red straight hair and brown eyes. She wore black suit and high heels. “Besides you have an entire nation to yourself we have nothing, the humans should colonize here we would be able to export our technology a lot quicker.”
“She does make a good point.” Princess Luna interjected.
“That does not matter we found the place first and there is nothing you can do about it unless you want to start a war I mean I don’t mind I’d beat you anyways.” Firestorm said.
“You wish you could, we could just nuke all your puny lizard to extinction.” Mary replied.
“Silence!!!” Celestia yelled then regained her composer. “Look no one is spilling any blood okay.”
“Then how should we settle this?” Firestorm asked.
Princess Luna had been sitting there listening to the debate thinking about what game she would play after this meeting was over. She was not really interested in the meeting but she had to be there just for additional support. Taking a deep breath she said,
“I think it’s time for a recess don’t you think?”
“Agreed.” Celestia added in. Everyone exited the room and went toward the dinner room. As everyone was walking Celestia stayed behind with Mary. “You were pretty brave out there most people don’t stand up to Firestorm.”
“Yeah well he’s not the first asshole I’ve stood up.” Mary replied in a joking tone. “You should know.”
“How could I forget, you kicked Blueblood so hard in the crotch that I’m sure he still walks funny.”
“Good times (sigh) but Firestorm is not someone I can take lightly I fear that a war might actually happen.”
“Well we’ll think of something.”
Everyone had finally relaxed and returned to the meeting. Mary and Firestorm were locked on to each other neither of them even blinked at each other, the entire time everyone else could feel the tension rising.
“We need to find a way how to settle this.” Mary said while looking at Firestorm.
“For once I agree with you.” Firestorm replied.
Once again an awkward silence swooped over the entire room no one said anything until Luna stood up.
“I think there is a way to solve this dilemma.” Luna said in a casual tone.
“Oh so the night princess finally has something to say.” Firestorm said in a sarcastic tone.
Ignoring Firestorms rude comment she continued, “Equestria has been at peace for quite some time, to be honest I rather relax than fight on a battlefield.”
“So get to the point.” Firestorm said impatiently.
“Firestorm if I hear one more world out of you I swear to my fathers beard I will turn you into an orange.” Luna replied in an agitated tone, I seemed to do the trick because Firestorm had finally stopped talking. “As I was saying instead of a fighting on a battlefield why not fight in an area.”
“In an arena?” Celestia asked. “Why would you pick an aren…oh no Luna we haven’t done one of those in years.”
“Done what?” Mary asked.
“A Phoenix Battle Royal.” Luna replied. “Back then there was war everywhere many lost their lives and all of it just to gain territory that is until one day a the world leaders got tired of people dying so they hosted a battle royal and the first game was started off with the release of a phoenix.”
“Sounds interesting.” Mary replied. “I accept.”
“While it does sound fun you cannot call a Battle Royal you have no land to wager that we don’t want.” Firestorm said.
“Fine then Equestria will take humanity’s place if we lose then you may acquire Canterlot and the new island if we win we will take the island and your diamond caves.”
“Luna.” Celestia said. “We can’t just make…”
“Deal!!!” Firestorm said.
“Good the fight will take place in six months.” Luna replied “I hope you’re prepared.”
“I’d say the same to you but it won’t make a difference.” Firestorm replied in a cocky tone.
After the negotiation the meeting was adjured and everyone left the castle well except Celestia, Luna, and Mary. Around 7pm the three came to the dining hall everyone seem to have a cool head about the meeting well everyone except Celestia. Luna could see the worry in Celestia eyes and asked her,
“Tia are you still worried about the Battle Royal?”
“Yes I am.” Celestia replied. “Luna we can’t just rush into things like this, we don’t even have any fighters to start off with.”
“Don’t not fret sister Mary and I have already taken care of it.” Luna replied in a rather chill tone.
“I hope so.” Celestia replied.
The Wind Phoenix Dojo/Swift Winds and Dax’s Apartment
Swift Winds had finished teaching his class and closed up the dojo then went upstairs to his apartment. He took a shower then got some fresh new clothes on, as he came out he went to the kitchen and found Dax with a box of pizza.
“Oh you’re finally finished, well there’s pizza and cheesy bread on the counter table.” Dax told him then took a bite out of his meat lover’s pizza.
“Look let cut to the chase we need to find a way to make cash for our dojo.” Swift said in a serious tone. “How much do we owe?”
“Well we owe fifteen thousand dollars and for the entire dojo and apartment.” Dax replied. “Right now we only have one thousand.”
“When is the deadline?” Swift said then took a bite out of one of the cheesy bread.
“The deadline is in two weeks, Swift it’s physically impossible we might as well give up.”
“To taturaus with that there is always a way.”
Well when you think of something tell me but right now I’m going to watch some T.V.” Dax sat on the couch then turned on the television. He started to flip though the channels nothing really interested was on until his favourite show Arrow was on, as the intro started something happen. Princess Luna and Mary William were on the screen.
“Princess Luna?” Swift said in confusing tone.
“Hello we are sorry for interrupting you schedule program but what we are about to tell you could possibly change your life. Are you a fighter that is seeking a challenge do you want to expand your abilities and become the strongest fighter in Equestria? Then come to Equestria Fighter Tournament it doesn’t matter what fighting style you use, it could be judo, karate, or even weapons all are welcome. The winner will get a sixteen thousand reward and the title of best fighter.” The Princess said.
“The tournament starts in three days be ready and bring your best.” Mary Williams added in. “That is all have a good night.”
The two looked at each other in awe struck right in front of them was the answer to their problem.
“Swift do you know what this means.” Dax asked in an excited tone.
“Yeah, we’ll get to fight new people this is going be great.” Swift said in an enthusiastic tone.
“(Sigh) No you idiot if we win we can get the cash prize and pay off the dojo and apartment not to mention we can also repair the place.”
“I knew that, you didn’t let me finish.”
“Right and I’m an alicorn.” Dax said in a sarcastic tone. “Now back you bags we are going on a road trip.”
“Wait who will take care of the dojo while were gone.”
“I’ll call up the old man and tell him to take over you know he love to teach the kids.”
“Yeah if he doesn’t break them first.”
After getting pack and sorted out the two went to sleep. The next morning they loaded up in their truck and said their goodbyes to their friends.
“Well you two I how that you bring the money back and kick some ass.” Said a man, he was in his fifties and was about 5’8 and had a slightly muscular body tone, he had wavy brown hair that had a touch of grey he also had brown eyes. The man wore a blue dress shirt, white dress pants, and some brown dress shoes.
“Hey old man we got this in the bag no worries.” Swift told him. “But are you sure you can hold down the fort.”
“Don’t worry kid me and Citrus can do just fine.”
“That right Swift Christopher and I can hold your karate place down.” Miss Citrus or Sweet Citrus said then gave a light punch into Christopher’s arm. Miss Citrus was an earth pony that was in her forties she was about 5’5, she had orange coat and a lime green mane that was in a ponytail. She wore some blue jeans and a yellow blouse she also had a green and white stripped scarf.
“It’s a dojo Miss Citrus.” Christopher replied with a hint of annoyance.
“Dojo karate place it’s all the same to me.”
“(Sigh) just good luck to both of you.”
“Thanks.” The two guys say.
The two got into their truck and started their trip a trip that would change their lives forever.
