Prologue

"Luna?"
"Hmm...? Oh! I mean yes, Tia?"
"What's wrong?"
"S-s-sister, I don't know what you're talking about!" Luna stuttered. Celestia kept a straight face as Luna had a obviously fake smile spread across her face. Her sister sighed, "Tia, I want to tell her but I don't know how."
"Lulu, if I could tell her I would, I know how you feel. I had to tell Cady, please just tell her. I don't want to see you or my niece suffering." Celestia's face contorted into a frown seeing her sister's distress. She put her glowing white wing around her sister and pulled her into a hug.
Luna nodded, "I'll try, Tia. I want her to know but... how?" she looked into her sister's eyes. Minutes felt like hours as the sisters stayed in a hug.
"Do what I would do, tell her, not directly, she'd be too shocked, tell it to her in a way she'd understand and take it in." The goddess of the Sun pushed away from the younger sister. "If you'd want I could call her and her friends here so you can tell them all at the same time."
"Do it." The dark alicorn said as she rose, "I will get myself prepared, could you do it right now?"
"Of coruse, I will summon Twilight and her friends. Rememeber, don't change your mind, once it's done, it's done."
"I cross my heart and hope to fly stick a cupcake in my eye." The Moon goddess said as she did all the correct movements. The elder sister nodded and grabbed a quill and paper and began to write.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I would like you to bring yourself and your friends up to Canterlot, as me and Luna have something to tell you six. Attached to this letter are six first class tickets to Canterlot. Upon arrival you will find your brother and his squad. They will escort you to the castle. Luna and myself will be in the throne room. Cadence will also be among us. We have kept something hidden to you, your friends, and your brother.

Luna had long left the room and Celestia had used her magic to get six first class tickets and a paper clip and had attached the tickets to the letter, like she had said. She turned her head and picked up the scroll in her magic and threw it into the magically enchanted fire.

"Twilight! The Princesses sent you something!" Spike shouted from upstairs. My ears perked up as I teleported upstairs giving Spike a bit of a shock and took the letter with my magic. I quickly read the letter and told Spike to get the girls and meet back here. He saluted and ran out of the library.
In record breaking time he was back with the girls. I handed them the tickets and explained that the Princesses want us in Canterlot. "Did they say why?" Rarity asked
I shook my head. "All they said is that they've been hiding something from us and Shining. I assume it's like the Crystal Empire." My pupils turned into pinpricks. "What if she gives me a kingdom to rule!?" I sunk down to my knees and curled up into a ball with my wings covering my face.
"Twi, Ah'm sure the Princesses wouldn't 've given ya a kingdom yet if ya weren't prepared. Ya just bein' paranoid." AJ said with a semi-reassuring voice. The others clamored with agreement.
It took a while to get me off the floor, when they did we were almost done packing and we made for the train station. We showed the conductor our tickets and we climbed on board. We walked to the front of the train and set our saddlebags in our drawers that came with first class.
There are three royal sized beds and three drawers. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy settled on the same bed together. Me and Pinkie Pie, and Applejack and Rarity, we left Spike back at the library with Owlicious to take care of the fillies and the pets as well as the library. We stuck our head out the windows and waved to Spike, our pets and for some, our sisters.

Almost an hour later we were at Canterlot train station, and like Celestia said, my brother and his squad was there to escort us. "Hello, Twiley and friends." Shining greeted us.
"Hello, B.B.B.F.F., do you know why we were called?" I asked a tinge of annoyance in my voice.
"I'd be lying if I said I did. Cady knows, but she won't say anything to anypony." Shining said shaking his head, his confusion getting the better of him. "But enough of figuring out, let's go see what the Princesses want." Shining turned around and began walking, we followed him as his guards formed a circle around us.
The elements, having a telepathic link, we spoke to each other, adding Shining to our little 'call' we discussed how things are going.
So, Twilight, how's being a princess? Shining thought.
Shining, I've only been princess for a week. Can't really answer that yet, but having everypony bow to me whenever they see me is kinda annoying. I rubbed my hoof and mentally rolled my eyes.
Ponies are bowing, left and right to us too! It's really annoying like Twi said. Rainbow added. But I guess it's nottoobad, ponies asking for my autograph. Asking me to do tricks for them--
WE GET IT! The six of us yelled at Rainbow. I could practically FEEL Rainbow grin.
So... Shining, did you know Twi's a filly fooler? I could taste the amount of vengeance coming off her. Shining glared daggers at me without telepathy. I was a dead mare. A very BIG dead mare. I avoided eye contact with my brother.
The rest of the trip was in silence except for the occasional comeback of my own countering with my brother. And after a while even that faded away. Even Pinkie, my marefriend, was quiet, which actually scared us all.

We eventually arrived at the Canterlot Castle we didn't bow because Celestia was now, technically speaking, our equal, as well as the others. Cadence, Celestia and Luna smiled.
"Hello, Elements of Harmony, and Shining Armor." Celestia said. "Now I'm wondering why we called you here, I will explain. Now I'm going to tell you something about Cadence, in fact she isn't even my niece, she is my daughter." She paused.
Shining's mouth was agape. Something I haven't seen in a while. Finding out you are the son-in-law of royalty is a bit shocking. I took my hoof and put his jaw where it's supposed to be. "I think Luna would like to explain the other part why you are here."
As if that wasn't enough. I was already scared to what is to come next. "Well, I did promise my sister I wouldn't be direct, but..." The dark goddess trailed off. "Twilight Sparkle, you are my daughter."
I froze and yelled "WHAT!?" along with my brother and friends. Lu-- er mom, suddenly lunged at me getting me into a backbreaking hug, I'm REALLY glad I'm an alicorn because my spine fixes itself.
But now, I'm going to trust mom, and try to break out of this hug.
