The Life of Zanti

Chapter 1

I was getting some sleep during my long train ride to Ponyville when I woke up to a soft spoken voice saying “Wake up, Mister.” I opened my eyes to see a little colt in front of me. I rubbed my eyes with my hooves trying to gain consciousness when he said “We are about to arrive. You should get ready.”

I got up from my seat to stretch my tired and stiff limbs. Then, looking back at the little colt, I said “Thanks kid.” The little colt smiled and returned to his seat and sat next to his mother.

I sat back down waiting for the train to finally reach its destination, Ponyville train station.
I gathered my bags and and headed for the exit.

“Welcome to Ponyville!” I was happily greeted by a pony who was standing at exit, asking every pony for their tickets.
I reached into my bag and grabbed mine as I approached and handed it to him.

He inspected it for a second before smiling warmly and saying “ Enjoy your stay here in Ponyville!”
I smiled back at him and left the train. I decided to look around for a bit, trying to see what was I getting into. Ponyville was such a small town. Nothing that i was use to, not much to do, but it was quiet and peaceful.

I liked that aspect about my new hometown.Realizing there wasn't much more to look at, I started walking towards the Town Hall so I could find a place to stay. Maybe there was somepony I could talk to and ask about houses for sale. Thinking about it now, I probably should have done that before I got here, oh well. I was heading out when I suddenly heard a loud screaming coming from the left of me.

When I looked to see what all the commotion was about I spotted a group of mares chasing a lavender mare who had a baby dragon on her back.
Before I could even run away to avoid the stampede, the mare with the dragon on her back passed me by causing me to spin out of control.

I was dazed for a moment and tried to recollect myself, however I had not time to do so because the next thing you now the group of mares that was chasing her trampled me! It took me a few minutes to get up and come back to my senses. Once I did, I looked up at the sky and noticed the sun was starting to set.

I shook off the dust and tried not to think about the pain in my limbs as I rushed towards the Town Hall hoping I could get there before they closed. As I galloped there I thought about what just happened and thought "Jeez the mares in this town sure are weird..."
