Time never stands still

Weird dreams and a invitation

Chapter 25

My legs twitch.

I'm lying on Wra'kyrs lap, legs pointing up to the darkness that is the sky.

Her soft strokes on my belly as she hums a calming tone.

She giggles.

'Well that is strange'

My eyes widen and...

I wake up.

I'm sitting in my bed, a crimson blush on my face.

Luna stands before me, also wearing a blush.

I facehoof.

"How... long?" I ask with a timid voice.

She looks away, the blush never escaping her face.

"Long enough" she answers, looking back at me, "I won't tell anypony what I saw."

I facehoof, this time with both hooves.

"It's not what is was looking like" I answer quietly.

"No, no you don't have to explain anything" Luna states, looking away again, "every pony has it's ... preferences" she turns around, "maybe I should come back later" she walks out of the room, the door closing softly behind her.

I sit there, covering my face with both my front hooves.

And groan.

"How could I let her pull me back into her grasp?" I groan even louder and slip out of the sheets, I yawn and look at the clock, which tells me that it's almost noon. I stiffle another yawn and go into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

During the whole shower the conversation with Wra'kyr echoes through my mind.

'You liked it right?' she giggles.

I groan.

"No I didn't!" I answer and turn around.

'Liar!" she giggles even more.

Another groan.

"Whatever" I turn around and look at her laughing at me, "stop laughing!" she looks at me, trying to stiffle her giggles.

'Okay, okay' she stopps, looking at me she tilts her head again, 'it's just very interesting to see you through these eyes. You look even cuter than before' I blush again.

And facehoof.

"Could we go back to the main part of this conversation?" I ask annoyed.

'Of course' she nods, 'but before that...' she strokes the ground to her side, 'come here' she smiles.

"Why?" I ask, still annoyed.

'It's nicer to talk to someone when he or she is close to you' her smile widens.

"Promise me to not do this funny stuff again" I look at her with an stern expression.

'Funny stuff?' she asks, fluttering her eyelashes, 'I don't even know what you are talking about' her voice filled with innocence.

I groan and walk closer, slowly, taking one step at a time.

I sit dow right next to her, to her left, she lays her arm around me, pulling me a little bit closer.

No strange sensations, no feeling or wishing of getting petted, so far so good.

I sigh, "tell me more about the others" I state simply.

She nods, her voice, still beautiful but now filled with distress, 'we gods have no real power for ourselves, we draw our strength out of essence, either the dark essence or the clear essence. The more essence there is, the stronger we are. That's why Melre'kat and Gyal'kraa are the strongest aspects. Anger, hate and sorrow are the most common dark essence, almost everypony, gryphon, dragon or whatever race knows them. Confusion and Madness are rare that's why they both have almost no physical strength' she closes her eyes, her expression shows concern as she looks at me, 'but both have other powers. They don't need to overwhelm you physically, they just break your mind' she looks away, up to the darkness, 'Braaak'tha is the worst. He uses his power to crash your mind which in the end, forces you to break your own body' my eyes widen, 'Braak'tha loves to toy with his victim. The stronger the mind of the creature, the easier it is for him to destroy it. The only and I mean it eactly like this, the only way to defeat him is to fall into this madness, to accept it and use the powers he grants you to break you to destroy his illusions, the hard part about this is to watch out not to lose yourself in the madness, if you do he will just take over, he won't even have to fight you' her voice turned sad, sorrowful.

"So to defeat Braak'tha I have to become crazy?" she nods, "and at the same time stay sane?" she nods again.

Her expression suddenly changes, from sad to happy.

I open my mouth to ask her why she she is so happy.

She pulls me up, laying her softly on her lap and before I even consider to struggle her soft hand appears on my belly, softly stroking it.

'Well that is strange'

And that's when Luna disturbes the most beautiful thing I have ever felt!

I facehoof.

The last thing was something that rushed through my mind as I was still under Wra'kyrs charm.

"Looks like you are pretty much like Braak'tha" I whisper, "you don't fight physically, you just break the mind."

I swear I can hear her giggle.

I shake my head and stop the water, drying myself off and grooming my coat.

I walk out of the bathroom, expecting Shining Armor to stand there again.

He does not.

I sigh, it wasn't even clear to myself how much I got used to him just randomly appearing in my room.

A soft knock on the door makes me look at it.

"It's open" I answer.

The door opens and Luna walks in, still wearing a faint blush.

I feel my own blush return.

Luna opens her mouth to say something, but nothing comes out, this repeats a few times.

I sigh, "this get's pretty awkward" Luna nods.

"How much did you see?" I ask, trying to suppress the blush rushing up to my cheeks.

"The whole conversation" she looks away, "and the other things."

I facehoof.

If I keep doing this I might really hurt my face sometime.

"Look, it's not what it was looking like!" I state, stomping quietly with my legs, "I didn't want it! She just did it, using her freaky happiness power" Luna nods with a awkward smile.

"You don't have to explain it, I won't judge."

I facehoof again.

"You should really stop that, you might hurt yourself one day" Luna states, pointing at my hoof in my face.

"That's what I though only a few seconds ago" I mumble.

"Come again?" Luna asks.

I shake my head, "nothing" I sigh softly, "so you followed the whole conversation?" Luna nods.

"Unfortunatly yes" I furrow my brows, "I tried to leave the very moment she started to pet you, but something wouldn't let me go, something far more powerful than me" my eyes widen.

"That's your proof" I suddenly smile.

"Proof?" she raises a brow looking at me.

"Yes proof" I nod, "you didn't want to believe me about the whole gods thing, well there is your proof. Wra'kyr is even strong enough to keep you in the dream."

Luna looks at me, her expression quizzical.

"You expect me to believe your story" her voice was cold, "just because of that?" she shakes her head, "I don't know why I couldn't leave the dream but I'm pretty sure that there is a much better explanation than a strange goddess keeping me in."

I facehoof again.

And it hurts.

Rubbing my face softly, I groan.

"Look, princess, I can't proof to you right now but these are not just some dreams. You've heard my wing right? The metallic sound it made as it hit the floor" Luna nods.

"That's strange, I give you that, but it's still not enough to believe that there are some strange gods of emotions" she sits down, pointing at me, "and the last dream I saw makes it even more unlikely that it's true" I groan.

"Then how did I get these?" I open my wings slowly, ignoring the pain that it sends through my spine, "I'm not born with them, if you haven't noticed."

"Watch your tongue" her voice turns cold.

I sigh, "I'm sorry, and you know what?" I stand up and turn around, "I don't even care anymore, believe it or not" I hear Lunas sigh.

"Whatever" I hear her shift a little bit, "I came here for an other reason anyway" I turn around, she smiles, "I wanted to invite you to dinner tonight" she stands up, "you, Shining Armor, his sister Twilight Sparkle and myself. Interested?" her smile widens.

I nod.

"Sounds lovely" I answer, returning her smile with my own, "do I need to come in a gown?" I ask hopefully, even though I suppress the hope in my voice.

"Not needed but if you like" she answers with a nod, she turns around to leave, she opens the door and turns around, a bright smile on her face, "you like dresses don't you?" she giggles.

I groan again.
