O’er the water’s teeming waves,
a rare sight was seen one day
by pegasus eyes in Cape Sunrise,
over the hills and far away.
And, choosing to at once depart,
he felt a stirring in his heart
for what had brought the light’s display
over the hills and far away.
Now in the capital he rests,
laid upon his muse’s chest;
he sought her out, perhaps he’ll stay
over the hills and far away.
