CHAPTER 5:
Telling The Rest
Authors Note: Because this has gotten so popular, in my opinion at least, I will do the 6-8 chapters! leave comments if you want to help me with the next couple chapters (Ideas and stuff). Otherwise, ENJOY!!!
Fluttershy awoke from her nightmare with a shriek, loud enough to be classified as an actual scream! When she screamed, Rainbow Dash, who was already awake, heard and ran, or flew, to her lover to see what the problem was.
"Fluttershy, are you okay? That's the loudest I ever heard you scream!" The cyan pegasus said to her marefriend as she sat down next to her on the bed. "Did you hurt yourself? Or did you have a bad dream?" Rainbow said, sounding a bit concerned.
"It-it, was a bad dream. Don't worry about it, please." Fluttershy said, trying to avoid having to explain her dream. "It's fine, all fine." Fluttershy repeated, making the colorful pony very suspicious.
"Are you sure Flutters, you sound like you're hiding something. Tell me what the dream was about." Rainbow Dash said the exact words the butter yellow pegasus was hoping she would not say. "Well, tell me. I want to make sure the my marefriend is okay." Rainbow Dash was getting impatient.
"Well, I- um..." Fluttershy did NOT want to tell her, but she knew if she lied to Rainbow Dash, she would feel horrible. "I, it was..."
*FLUTTERSHY EXPLAINS THE DREAM*
"Fluttershy, you don't have to be worried about us EVER breaking up in any way, shape or form. I'll never leave my shy little pony." Rainbow said with much more emotion than expected. She then kissed Fluttershy on the cheek and nuzzled into her neck, making Fluttershy smile and even blush a little. "Just in case that never happens, how about we tell them, all at the same time." Rainbow Dash said to her winged companion.
"How will we do that?" Fluttershy wondered what Rainbow's response would be.
"Well, first let's tell them all to be at here at say, 5:00 pm, then we'll tell them and hopefully they'll be okay with it. Rainbow Dash replied.
Fluttershy nodded her head then went to that bathroom to take a bath then head into town, ready to tell them to meet her at her house. But as soon as she stepped into town, a familiar pink earth-pony block her way, and then started talking.
"Ohh, hi Pinkie, I was just, um..." Fluttershy tried to respond to at least one of Pinkie Pie's multiple questions.
"Huh, whaddya say? You were just, what? Wait, lemme guess, you were... on your way to, do, something? Is that right, huh?" Pinkie Pie started going on with more questions until the shy pegasus finally spoke up.
"I was just heading over to see you. I was going to tell you to , um... come by my cottage at 5:00, if that's okay with you." Fluttershy managed to say through the rapid-fire question spree Pinkie was going on.
"Okie Dokie Lokie! See ya then!" Pinkie said, and hopped down the street.
'Okay, one down, 3 to go.' Flutershy thought to herself.
Fluttershy walked down the street, avoiding Sugar Cube Corner, for obvious reasons. She walked down the road that housed the mouse of ( heh, that sounds funny ) Twilight Sparkle. Fluttershy walked up to the door and softly knocked on the door with her hoof. From inside the library she could here somepony, probably Twilight, talking to somepony else, probably Spike.
"Coming!" Fluttershy heard a familiar voice from inside the treehouse. soon enough, a lavender unicorn opened the door with a magenta/red colored magic. "Hi Fluttershy! Do you want to check out that book I was saving for you, it just came in!?" Twilight asked Fluttershy.
"Oh, no, not now but... well I was wondering, if it's okay with you, that you um... come by my house at 5:00 today." Fluttershy shy said shyly.
"Okay then, see you there, are the others going too?" Twilight asked the pegasus. Fluttershy just barely nodded and walked down the street until she was in front of the Carousel Boutique. Flutteshy walked inside of the dress shop and a bell rang, and within half a second, a beautiful white unicorn was standing in front of her.
"Hello darling! What brings you here on such a marvelous day?" Rarity asked the yellow pegasus.
"Hi Rarity, I was wondering if you could... um, come by my house at 5:00 today, if that's okay with you." Flutteshy repeated almost the same thing she said to the other 2 ponies she saw today.
"Well, yes that is okay with me, i'll see you there! Oh, before you go..." Rarity lifted a brand new hat off a table with her magic, and set it upon Fluttershy's head. "Do tell me if you like this new hat, I've been working for hours on the design, and when I started, I got the colors messed up and I had to start over. There's a mirror over there." Rarity said, pointing her hoof towards a mirror on the wall big enough to show 4 full-grown ponies their reflections all at the same time. Fluttershy walked over to it and looked at her reflection.
"Wow, it's wonderful Rarity! And it's made in my favorite colors!" Fluttershy said, not realizing that her birthday was in 2 weeks, so that means the hat was a preview of her birthday present. "How long did you say it took to make it?" Fluttershy asked Rarity getting off topic.
"Oh, well as I said, the design took about 2 and a half hours on the design, and I worked on it for about a half-hour before realizing I used the wrong shade of green, so I restarted from scratch, so about, let's say... 4 hours." Rarity explained to Fluttershy.
"Wow, 4 hours for just one hat? Isn't that a bit long?" Fluttershy asked the white mare to her left, still off topic and wasting time.
"Oh, no no no! You see, it's a very finely detailed hat, plus it's very special, and I wanted it to be absolutely flawless!" Rarity exclaimed. Fluttershy finally realized that she was wasting time and took off the hat and set it on the nearest table.
"I really must get going Rarity, by the way, what time is it?" Fluttershy looked around for a clock, but couldn't find one.
Rarity looked down at the watch on her, umm... wrist? (is that the right term for a horse?) "Oh, don't worry, it's only 2:46, still more than 2 hours until everypony goes to your house." Rarity said, looking up from her watch, and noticing that Fluttershy has disappeared. "Huh, I guess she was in a hurry." Rarity returned to her work.
Fluttershy galloped down the street and towards Sweet Apple Acres. She was almost there when she ran into something orange and got knocked off her feet. When she looked up, she realized tat the orange 'thing; she ran into was the exact 'thing' she was looking for.
"Oh, sorry Applejack, I just wanted to get here as fast as I could." Fluttershy said to orange the earth-pony lying on the ground.
"Why would you do that? Is it something really important? 'Cause if it's 'bout meetin' you at your house at 5:00, Rainbow already told me to." Applejack noticed the look of relief on Fluttershy's face.
"Oh, good, so you'll be there?" Fluttershy asked Applejack while starting to stand back up.
"Yes Fluttershy, I'll be there. But Rainbow didn't tell me why. So, why?" Applejack was the first to ask. Fluttershy started thinking of what to say.
"Um.. it's uh, a uh... surprise." Fluttershy said, making it sound like a question. Applejack just stared at her, and Fluttershy started sweating.
"Oh-kay then sugarcube. See ya there." Applejack walked away, trying to forget what just happened, and Fluttershy the same.
*Back at Fluttershy's Cottage, 4:30 pm*
Fluttershy walked up to Rainbow Dash. "What are we going to say to them? How will they react, and will they think that it's wrong?" Fluttershy started up with rapid-fire questions toward Rainbow Dash, much like Pinkie would.
"First of all, we are going to tell them that we started dating yesterday. Second, I can't tell the future, so I don't know how they will react. Third, they're our best friends, if they don't accept us because we like the same sex, then they were never truly our friends. So, just let me do the talking, and you just sit there and look cute." Rainbow Dash finished her sentence by giving Fluttershy a kiss on the cheek, then nuzzled her head into her neck.
"Well, okay, as long as you're sure they won't judge us." Fluttershy said, relaxing a bit.
"I promise, if they judge us, they're not going to be off our friends list, okay Flutters?" Rainbow Dash kissed her again, on the lips this time.
Fluttershy backed out of the kiss to talk. "Okay Dashie." Fluttershy went back in for another kiss when she heard a knock at the door.
"Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, we're here!" She could hear Pinkie's voice through the door.
"Come in!" Fluttershy said barely loud enough to travel outside the door to the other ponies ears. A pink earth pony opened the door with a huge smile on her face.
"Hi Fluttershy! Hi Rainbow!" Pinkie Pie said, bouncing towards them and giving them a hug. "So ,why are we all here?" Pinkie asked Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
"Well, how about you all sit down somewhere and we'll tell you." Rainbow Dash said, sounding a little less confident than when the two talked about it alone.
Everypony got a chair or just sat on the floor or on Fluttershy's couch. Rainbow Dash was about to talk but she realized she had no idea of what to say.She just stood there and waited for an idea to pop into her head when suddenly...
Authors Note: Ha, I'm sorry I had to end it on a cliffhanger, but I really wanted one of those in this story! So, what surprising thing will happen in the next chapter? Please, if you favorite the story, then also like it because it seems that I have more favorites on this story than likes!
