Little Conversation
Today is a sunny day in Ponyville, the bird is singing, the flower is blooming. Feel like a sense of deja vu from this word I type. On a day like this would be perfect for a breakfast outside, like right now, two ordinary unicorns sitting while having a little conversation.
One of them stretching her hooves for this beautiful day. "Ah... Such a nice day we having are we?"
"It would be if you stop complement the day every time we did something."
"Come on, Bon Bon! I'm been positive this day."
"Fine... Just don't overdo it, okay?"
The duo was sitting on a stack of hay at a regular cafe, the classic one for them. Waiting for the butler while looking at the menu, it's not long until the stallion shows up. With some regular sustenance, the butler makes his way inside the cafe. Once that, the unicorn saw a very ordinary lion running in the street.
"Oh, That's Leo. Hi Leo!" Lyra shouted stretch her hoof, waving at him as the lion saw it a quickly respond with a smile before speed off until out of sight.
"You know since he came to Ponyville, everypony have easy work now thanks to him." Bon Bon commend.
"Yeah. He does that in Canterlot too, I think almost half of the resident there he helps. Include inside the castle."
"Wait, really?"
"Oh, Bon Bon. Aside from our relationship, you don't know much about him."
"Hey! Our friendships are already good and I know him a lot too. Like for example; he can split into three. THREE Lyra!"
"Oh, yeah? Well, did you know Princess Celestia granting him to call her by her name only, without the word "Princess" first?"
"I--never thought about that..."
What the mint pony told was true, Leo never spoke the solar alicorn the word "princess". It could be that he's not a pony since everypony bow down to the solar alicorn. Of course, she is the Princess of ponies, and Leo is a lion. Which mean she's not royalty to him... Apparently, right?
"Hey, Bon Bon?" Lyra asked her front, maybe a new topic?
"What, Lyra?"
"I wanted to know if you ever thought about having superpowers."
"...What?"
"Y’know, superpowers! Like, super-strength, super-speed, regeneration, shapeshifting, telepathy, telekinesis—"
"Can’t you already do that?"
"—teleportation, shooting lasers, pyrokinesis, time travel, x-ray vision—"
"I get the point! Is this because of Leo superpowers?"
"Yeah! I mean, he can control three types of elements around us! Plus fourth with that Leaf power we see. So, what kind of superpower would you have?”
"Oh, what, we’re only supposed to pick one?"
"Yeah! That’s how the question goes."
"Hmm... I'll think I choose--"
"Ma'am." The stallion with a tremendous moustache came back with the mare food. "Your order is here."
"Oh! Thank you, mister." Lyra appreciation him as he put down the food.
"It would be best after I have some nutrition first." Bon Bon told.
"That will be a good idea!"
Eventually...
"Oh, yeah. That's the stuff..." The unicorn then bleches from her stomach. "Oops, pardon me."
"You something disgusting...or weird in specific."
"That's how you like me~"
"Yeah, right." The beige coat rolled her eyes only, but kind true what she says in her opinion. "So about that superpower I want."
"Yes?"
The earth pony thought for a bit but have to cut when a trail of yellow lightning passed through them. Not just that, almost some of the hay their sit were flying.
"Coming through!" It was Leo. Or Lightning? Who's in hurry for some reason.
"Wow! Talk about accelerate!" Lyra amazed.
"Super speed."
"What?" She puzzled while looking at her friends.
"Yep. Super speed, it might help for doing some chore and other stuff that need to doing in fast. Plus, I can go anyplace very far without a train, which means saving my bits. You know, I watch sport tracks once, and was admiring the--"
"Boooring."
"Lyra! You wouldn’t understand, you’re a unicorn. You can already do half the things you listed if you go look up a spell somewhere. Besides, I’m still jealous you got to go on that business trip to Cloudsdale without me. So, what kind of ability would you pick, Miss Exciting?"
"The power to travel to other dimensions!"
"Let me guess: to meet this so-called human."
"No! Okay, yes. But there’s a lot of other cool things you could do with it. Like, imagine a universe where Celestia was the one sealed away for the past thousand years. Or one where every mare in our universe is a stallion, and vice versa."
"Both of those sound terrible and hackneyed."
"You’re just afraid to imagine me as a colt, because I’d be so handsome it would blow– your– mind." Lyra chimed.
"Sssssure. Let’s go with that." Bon Bon said as she has an idea. "Anyway, this is a dumb question. There’s no way we’d ever end up with superpowers. How about... 'If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only take one thing, what would it be?'"
"A mean--"
"You can’t say ‘a means of contacting rescue’."
"Darn. Well... if there’s one thing in the whole world I’d hate to be stuck without, it’d be you, Bon."
"Aw. That’s sweet. But no ponies, either."
"What? Okay, fine. My lyre, then. It’s not on my butt for nothing. Enough of this, let's talk about more superpower!"
"Again? We are already done with it. Why you suddenly came up?"
"Because Leo we're nearby."
The mint unicorn pointed her hooves toward the incoming golden lion who running towards them as he stops almost smack the mushrooms table. The earth pony just stunned. "How fast does time goes while we talking, huh?"
"Hey, Lyra and Bon Bon!" Leo happily said.
"Hello, Leo." The duo, of course, greets him gladly. "How's was your day?"
"Pawesome as always! Rainbow Dash have a pet now! What you gals talk about?"
Bon Bon then gestures to her front pony. "This, Lyra wants to talk more about superpower like you have who she already have magic."
"Yeah! I mean, what's the difference between a superpower and magic?"
Leo thought for a bit while scratching his head. "Well... Superpowers might be an ability that is more than normal creatures capabilities, like my elemental power while the magic... Not much I can know since I don't do magic but is kinda like a superpower granted by a supernatural or maybe mysterious force...? I don't know."
"Wow, Leo. How did know that much?" Bon Bon asked.
"Duh! He's been with Twilight for a whole year and she the one teaching him how to talk and read. Isn't that right, Leo?"
"Yep! And I'm the main character of this stories too!"
"..."
"...What?"
"Okay, I need to go. See you guys later!" With that the manipulate left the group.
Meanwhile, the ponies still confused about what he's talking about.
"Probably Pinkie Pie taught him something weird." Lyra confirmed.
"You think?"
