Chapter 23: Storytelling (S1E23)

Storytelling

A Few Days After Philomena Accident...

"As a young filly in Canterlot, sis always wanted to go to a Summer Sun Celebration where Princess Celestia raised the sun. And when she finally made it, she saw the most amazing and wonderful thing she saw.” Leo smiled wistfully.

"What was that?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"She saw Princess Celestia raise the sun of course," Spike added in.

"Thank you, both of you... But who's story is this, huh?" Twilight, who sits on a chair at the table. Resting her head on her hooves as she waiting for her turn while reading a book like usual. But she knows it won't happen.

"Come on, sis. This is the birth of us! Let us handle this."

"Yeah, let us be the storyteller for you while you read that new book."

Today, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are inside the Golden Oak library where the lion tells of how he and his little brother were born. The Cutie Mark Crusaders only past by the library but wouldn't mind seeing the cub for a minute. The big sister, however, just letting them advocate her. Is a good thing the book mail in right now so she can read it. She wants to tell them how she got her cutie mark but got a push aside by her brothers.

Honestly, It's her fault for telling them how they came to this world so yeah blame her and need to take seriously about his brother behave. Including the big one...

"Anyway after that, sis decided to learn everything she could and my adopted parents decided to have her apply to Princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns."

"What about earth ponies and pegasi?" Apple Bloom pointed out. "I mean, that seems a little tribal."

"They can enrol as well." Spike offered. "A long time ago, in different parts of Equestria, there were always so few students that all the school's sort of shut down. The Unicorn, on Canterlot right now. Is the only one that remained and even that was just a backroom based out of Canterlot University for years so Celestia called it School for Gifted Ponies, though the old names stick."

"Woah...okay." Apple Bloom considered.

"Wait a minute, since went you have all this old information?" Twilight asked curiously.

"Celestia." The boys said simultaneously.

"Understandable, never gonna ask why." The curiously has faded.

"Right, sis. I think is your turn now." Leo patted her back. "Tell them about you passed an entrance exam."

"Finally! Anyway, they seemed to have an issue with how I picked apart their wording, but I still got a hundred on it." She signed. "The written part was easy, even if they did word three of the questions in such an odd way that I needed to ask the instructors whether they meant Fantasy Star theoretical physics discoveries, before or after he got his theoretical degree in physics."

The filly was just confused about what she said just now, is she even a pony?

"Oh, translation. She's smart." Spike added.

"More like a nerd..." Scootaloo muttered.

"All of us are nerd, Scootaloo," Leo smiles beside her as she freaked out by this surprising. "My bro like reading a comic about superheroes, my sis like science and magic, my big brothers like sport and nerdy stuff as well since converted by my bro and I like action stuff."

"Yeah, that stuff. Like a fireball spell creates pressure when it goes off or just a fire." Twilight's glance at the drake depressing.

Spike considered a moment. ”That's fair. Or would be if you hadn't gone through all my rule books while I was out. Also, Leo. If Shining is here he will be flip out."

"Oh...right...also it's magic, there's no pressure." She added.

"And that's why windows blow out in burning buildings because it's a FIREBALL, fire creates pressure by rapid expansion as it eats fuel," Spike argued.

"I kinda like to make fire out of my paw," Leo said as he focuses his energy on the right paw to try to create a blaze of fire... But nothing happens. "Oh...well that won't work."

"It would be amazing if you have firepower, Leo! We can fire bros!" Spike crossed his arms and lean back on the lion who smiled upon him.

"Oh, No. No, no, no, no, no. That won't gonna happen, mister!" Twilight glared at them. "Dealing with the three of the four-element is enough but adding that will cause conflagration to Ponyville! Do you want that?!"

"Okay, okay. Don't need to fight like a cat and dog again like last time." Leo chuckled at the angry librarian. "Is just a joke and besides, there's a kid here."

The filly just nodded.

"Can we continue please?" Scootaloo impatient a bit.

Twilight took a deep breath. "Okay... Moving on, they want me to hatch an egg. Which is the practical part of the exam was anything."

"So, did you do it?" Sweetie Belle asked, although not knowing the glare from the baby dragon which makes Leo smirk at this kid age.

"I did, though not at first, I tried every spell I could think of and nothing was working. Although, I freaked out and blasted the egg when some massive boom startled me and a wave of energy washed over everything. I also made Spike grow to ginormous size, turned my parents into cacti, and nearly destroyed the testing centre before I "summon" Leo out of nowhere and painted a wall... don't ask on that last part."

"Oh, yeah... They still haven't figured out a way to stop the polka-dots from bleeding through." Leo contemplates way back.

"Hey, hey! I told them not to ask! Not you to tell them!" Twilight almost snapped. "Anyways, so that's how I got my cutie mark. It took the ruler of Equestria itself, Princess Celestia to shows up for me to be brought out of my surge and bring everything back to normal as well as theses two creature in my flank." The last part is a bit sarcastic a bit.

"Hey! Was that suppose to mean?"

"Rainbow Dash... Where are you now?" Scootaloo whined.
