~Chapter 3~
~Goons, Mud, and Sinkholes~
"Okay, so um Rose, what are we looking for again?"
Rose face hoofed herself.
"Were looking for the golden amulet pieces of Trottingham! How many times do I have to repeat myself?"
Zach gulped
"Uh, a few. I guess."
"Ugh." then meanwhile, the goons were getting into some pretty sticky situations,
"Okay, well uh, boss. Aint we gonna have t' look out fur traps?"
His boss groaned.
"Of course! I told you this a billion times already Zory! Geez!"
"So, uh, i gots to look out for traps?"
"Ugh. Just forget what I just said!"
"Duh, okay."
Zory trotted off like a idiot and then all of a sudden,
"Ahh! Boss! Help me! I'm stuck in da sink hole! HELP!!!"
"Oh, CELESTIA! This has happened to many times Zory!"
Zory's boss bent down with his stick and Zory grabbed hold.
"Okay, on the count of 2 I'm gonna pull you up. Alright?" .
"Uh, aint it usually the count of 3?"
"One, two!"
Zory's boss tried to pull him up then they both splashed in the sink hole.
"Ah, GEEZ!"
"Rose, did you hear that?"
Zach turned his head
"Hear what?"
Rose then tripped on a branch and fell into a small ditch with a little stream of water that was twinkling in the suns raise.
"Eww! Now I'm all muddy!"
Zach snickered, then he bursted out into laughter rolling on the ground laughing.
"It wasn't THAT funny Zach."
Rose had an annoyed look on her face as she got out of the little stream and then threw mud at Zach. He stopped laughing.
"Ha! Ha!"
then all of a sudden, Zach got up and headed towards the little stream, got some thick mud, and threw it straight at Rose's face!
"Oh, you wanna do this the hard way? Alright, let's do this the hard way!"
Rose got a HUGE pile of mud and threw it into Zach's mane.
"Grr,"
then, the kids started throwing mud at each other creating a huge mess!
They all got a muddy grin on there face and began laughing on the grass that was now covered in thick mud.
Then, they heard the same hoof steps they heard before,
"Let's get down Zach. I know those hoof steps."
Zach nodded and they both hid in the little stream.
"Okay, so boss. Aint we gonna focus on findin' the kids?"
"Ah, we got time Zory. We got time."
Rose and Zach looked at each other puzzled.
The hoof steps got farther away.
"Phew, good thinking Rose."
Rose smiled at Zach.
"Well, we have to hurry. I have to make it back to my house by dawn."
The two kids got up and trotted off farther into the forest seeking 'The Golden Amulet Of Trottingham'
