Reign of the Koopa

History of Orientalia

Canterlot was gone. In its place was the new city of Nova Troopia, the new capital city of Orientalia. Twilight was recently moved there by Bowser, and she was staying with her parents until adulthood, just like the rest of the Mane Six, but that is not where our current story is. The next little clip of the post-conquest is back at Ponyville, where more stories are taking shape. In a new building in Nova Troopia, two Koopas were busy with Xerox machines. "Alright, so this is the last page that needs to be copied, isn't it, Ronald?" A blue-shelled Koopa wearing a scarf said as he implanted one last page of a book onto the copier.

"That's all of them, let er' rip." Ronald, a brown-shelled Koopa, said as his blue-shelled companion pressed the button on the machine, which was pretty wild since they brought them after their world was destroyed. Soon, tons of copies of the final page were being printed from the copiers in the dozens. "Our boss said these children's books are very important." Ronald said as he grabbed one of the pages and showed his friend it. "Once all of these are copied, then we'll be able to set the books up, Harry. This is just the index. The main picture is-" Just before he was about to finish, he heard a dinging sound coming from the Xerox. "And, we're done. Let's roll." he said as they started packing up the book pages and packing them up into carts, ready for the next stage of making the books. "You're new here, aren't you?"

"Uh huh. You said that they were children's books, why is that so?" Harry asked.

"King Bowser ordered these to be made for the children to learn from at school. At the rate he's going, we're gonna be finished in no time. But then again, it's closed for the summer because one, many of the schools were destroyed during the invasion and annexation of Equestria and Griffonstone and are in the process of being rebuilt, and two, our school system would need to fully implement this. Elementary, middle, high, you name it." Ronald said as he pushed the cart across the hallway.

"So, how long have you worked at this business?" Harry asked.

"About thirty Terran years. Good thing this world and our old home world shares the same year length, or I would have to switch to a- well, we can slide this off. How long have you worked in the business?" Ronald asked the intern.

"A week, if I recall, why?"

"No reason." Ronald replied. "Now let's get these things moving." And with that, the two Koopa Troopas walked into the area where the next stage of the books will unfold.

About two hours later...

Since many of former Ponyville's former resident's were back with their respective parents, the majority of empty houses were left open to Equestria's new masters, who quickly made themselves feel at home, takes the name Ponyville right out of the place. Though, a good number of the ponies, such as the Apples and the Cakes, stayed, while other families such as the Belles and a few families forced out of Cloudsdale moved in for various reasons and whatnot, like some wanting to stay with others, and some of the former nobility, which was completely replaced by the Orientalian government after the invasion and annexation of Equestria and Griffonstone.

Since the town formerly known as Ponyville was damaged a lot during the invasion, many buildings are either being rebuilt or are in the process of being rebuilt, such as the school. A new library was also being built were the Golden Oak once stood before Tirek's rampage. In the place of the Frienship Castle is something else in progress of being built. From the city of Nova Troopia came not the Friendship Express, but a grey freight train that stopped at the station. Out of the cars came various materials that were needed for the construction and reconstruction of buildings in the city, as well as some other items that are to be stored at the warehouse for future usage. A Shy Guy with a blue robe walked in and grabbed something from one of the crates before it was packed. He didn't have to worry about stealing, as he was instructed to hand it to someone.

He put the book in his pocket and proceeded to walk into town. He walked past three fillies: an earth pony with yellow fur and a red mane, an orange pegasus with a purple mane, and a white unicorn with a pink and lavender mane, who were playing with one another in the nearby field. They appeared to be talking to each other about him the moment they saw him, but he didn't mind. The Shy Guy walked past two adults talking to one another, but that wasn't his goal. He pulled out a card with an address on it as he looked for a match. Soon enough, he found it, and walked up to the door, and knocked quietly three times. The door then opened to reveal a dark magenta earth pony with a light magenta mane and tail. "Cheerlie, I've been sent to give you something important." the Shy Guy said as he handed her the book.

"History of Orientalia?" Cheerlie said as she read the title, with widened eyes, she closed the door behind her. "Mane, oh mane. First the invasion happens, then I've been handed a new history book that I'm supposed to teach the children when school starts again and-" she was interrupted by another knock. "What now?" she said as she opened the door again, revealing the same Shy Guy from earlier. "What do you want, now?"

"Miss, you should not get cranky right away, the schoolyear's not started yet. Though, we might begin early, depends on whether the reconstruction is finished, so don't get your hopes up, either."

"Right..." Cheerlie said before slamming the door.

"Okay then..." he said as he walked towards Sugarcube Corner. In fact, he was actually quite hungry, and he wanted to have a quick snack before he goes on his merry way. "I wonder what's on the menu..." he said quietly as he walked to another part of town. He heard of how good their cupcakes are, but he had his doubts since Pinkie was back with the Pie family again. But still, it won't hurt to try a nibble or two.
