Hello this is the jamie9897 here with a demo story I don't know if I'm that good and I got a some good feed back from one person but I need a little more edits I don't want to be pitied for my bad spelling or wrong words or even bad grammar(i.e. this sentence right now I know it's a run on right now but I know I missed some in my story) once I feel this story is worthy of the Internet I'll post it and if i feel it's a lost cause then I'll cancel it so here are the first few chapters of my story.
Chapter 1: My life as a closet brony
Hello there, my name is James, but everyone just calls me Jamie. I grew up in a small neighborhood, feeling different. Not like that no, I felt like I didn't belong in this world, like I was meant for another world. But I never told anyone that I always kept it to myself, I mean who would understand a feeling like that. Because of these feelings I had I tended to stay away from others. I would go sit by the 'detention wall' instead of playing with others. Teachers worried about me of course but I paid no heed to that, I knew in my heart I was not where I was suppose to be.
11 years later...
“James LaFollette” was spoken over the speakers, I walk through the stage and shake hands with the principal. Today is the big day, I finally made it past high school, and I can get away from this hell hole. As I was walking though a student thought it would be funny to through eggs at me. “Hey congratulations now you can fap to those ponies more!” The entire class erupted in laughter, the principal tried to calm everyone down but to no avail. I just did what I always did I left. As soon as I'm outside and I am out of earshot of any possible eavesdroppers I let out my anger.
“GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK DID I DO TO DISERVE THIS” Tears were streaming down my face. I feel to the ground just sobbing but not crying.
“You didn't do anything wrong they're just idiots.” said a voice
“H-hey Ashley I didn't even hear you come... how much did you see.”
This is Ashley, she's been one of my only friends ever since I became a brony. We met when we got put on the same bowling team. She saw how shy I was, and even though I was a lot older than her she came to my aid. The only reason I joined bowling was to relieve stress, you know before ponies. I felt as if I could trust her and that is rare. She of course asked what was wrong when we first met and I just poured my heart out, hell I even explained the feeling I always had about this world not being mine.
“All of it. You were right when you said that they treated you like crap.”
“Yeah, hey why did you stay friends with me anyways? Surely there were others from your school you could be with right now, not some sad sack that probably doesn't even belong in this world”
“Hey don't be like that, and the reason I'm here still is because everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. And I will always be there for you.”
I jumped onto her giving her a bear hug while crying into her shoulder as I kept whispering, “Thank you”
One year later...
College is a pain in the ass, work is a lot harder, teachers are less caring about problems, and to top it off my shoulder to cry on is gone. She moved away about four months ago, but I do have another 'shoulder' to cry on. A little doll of Fluttershy that I made I used a old Simba doll and some other supplies to make it.
Anyways, I was finished with all my classes and got ready for summer vacation. I head back home and notice my Fluttershy doll in the trash... again. I sighed as I got it out and dusted it off. Lucky for me none of the garbage were out of their bags so all I had to really worry about was the smell. After I go spray it with Lysol™ I go to my room and go on the computer. Now I know what your thinking, no I don't have a MLP background, rather I have a default background (I just like it okay). I click on Internet Explorer and watch some PMV's and eventually get side-tracked so far that I get to super bowl ads, how I got there I don't know. I look over to my clock and notice it's been 3 hours.
“Well I guess I have some time for Minecraft™ before he wakes up” I thought out loud. “I'm just glad he has the night shift, or else I would have to deal with his nagging on how I'm not a real man and all that crap. Yeah my dad hates me no he's not a heavy drinker or doesn't beat me all the time that's just chlich'e' (yes I know but I don't have a key for it or don't know how to make it if there is a way please tell me), no he just goes on and on about how I shouldn't be watching a show for little girls. Soon as I was bored of it I decided to just turn on the TV and wait for the inevitable to come. Sure enough he's up but this time he just ignores me instead of the lecture I get for getting my doll out of the trash again. He left without another word.
“That was strange of him, I thought he would lecture me again oh well.” I said to no one in particular, I shrugged that event off and decided to just go to bed.

The next morning when I woke up I knew something was off, firstly I never wake up before my alarm clock, second I didn't feel a bed under me nor carpet. The next thing really threw me off, I was hearing girls voices. I slowly opened my eyes to find out my intruder, but what I saw made my eyes shoot wide open...

Fluttershy's P.O.V.
I was tending to my animal friends like I did every morning, when Twilight appeared next to me with a worried look on her face.
“Fluttershy you gotta come quick the Princesses have an assignment for the Elements” just as quickly as she came she and I appeared in the Library with the Princesses and my friends.
“Ah good your all here then, lets begin with the explanation on why we called you here. You see there was a... disturbance over in the Everfree forest.”
“Princess what do you mean by 'disturbance'?” asked Twilight.
“To be perfectly honest with you Twilight neither Luna or I have the foggiest idea. All we know is that it has never happened before.”
Everyone in the room gasped, save me I just hid behind the nearest pony.
“So I have asked all of you to come with us to investigate this anomaly. If you choose to accept then you will be going into the forest with my sister. I however need to tend to royal duties. I wish you luck on your journey.” with that she teleports away to where we assume is Canterlot.
There was an awkward silence from being alone in a room with Princess Luna, someponies still haven't gotten over the fact that she was Nightmare Moon. I myself still haven't gotten over it. The silence was broken by Twilight who knew for sure that the Princess was changed.
“So who is all going on this expedition please step forward. Nopony dared to step forward not even Rainbow Dash. “Come on girls we have to help the Princesses.” I thought for a moment if nopony steps forward then I will. I just couldn't let my friend go out to the forest alone. After a little bit I made my choice, I stepped forward, and heard a few gasps.
“Fl-Fluttershy really” Twilight said.
“Y-yes I decided that if nopony else would I would go” I said “I-I mean if you want me to.”
“Of course Fluttershy, anypony else?” Nopony responded
“Sorry Twi, ya know Ah have to take care of Granny Smith she's been ill lately.”
“Of course Applejack I knew you couldn't come, Rarity?”
“Sorry but I can't darling I need to go take care of Sweetie Belle I can't go on any expeditions that might take more than 2 hours especially if we leave her alone with all of my new dress that I made.”
“Alright” Twilight said as she got more excuses why they couldn't come with, Pinkie Pie had to foal-sit Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake, and Rainbow was just going to nap she said admittedly.
“Well if its just us then we should prepare, princess do you need anything?” asked Twilight
“Well if its not to much trouble w- I mean I could use some supplies.”
“Of course, Fluttershy, why don't you go get ready at your cottage and we will meet you there.”
I went to my cottage and got everything ready, I had told Angel that he was in charge while I was out. I looked over to my clock and it was nearly noon when there was a knock on my door.
“Fluttershy are you ready.” called out Twilight.
“Oh- um yes I'll be there in a second.” I answered already starting to have second thoughts. I just had to go though I already said I would. With that I went out the door and we all headed out to the forest.
The trip there wasn't as scary as I thought it to be since Princess Luna and Twilight were both casting light spells(Lumos). The trip seemed like a long time, but we got to where the 'disturbance' was and Luna and Twilight got on the defensive. It was a clearing with something in the center a strange figure that was laying down unconscious.
“What is it I wonder, do you have any clue Princess?” asked Twilight
“Never have I seen a creature like this before Twilight Sparkle though it could been here forever since nopony dares to enter here. Dear Fluttershy have you seen anything like this?”
I shake my head “No your Majesty, I-I never came across anything so curious looking. For all I know it could be a hairless monkey, but that doesn't really explain the clothes on it. In fact it looks intelligent, either that or it stole that stuff and put it on because it got curious. Monkeys are always known for their curiosity of things.” I blushed when I realized how long I was talking “oh um sorry I didn't mean to talk to much about my thoughts of what it was.”
“No no Fluttershy, it is quite alright that's exactly what we wanted.” It was then the being sat straight up and shouted...

My P.O.V.
“OmigoshOmigoshOmigoshOmigoshOmigoshOmigoshOmigosh!” what my three favorite ponies were there how would you expect me to react to that. “I must be dreaming” The trio of ponies just stood there shocked at how I was acting. I decided to see if I was dreaming so I pinched myself and sure enough “Oww okay not dreaming then that means” I look over to the ponies who are still in shock “it's a dream come true” as I let out a fanboy squee and literally faint.(and that takes a lot to get me to faint I never fainted before so forgive me if I get anything wrong on how I'm suppose to feel when I wake up)
Chapter 2 Princesses and Adorable Pegasus
I woke up in a bed feeling strange “Oh thats a new feeling” I said quietly to myself. I take this moment to gather my surroundings. What I saw though made my heart explode, Fluttershy was asleep at the foot of the bed with a blanket over her. Just then she started talking in her sleep “Oh Angel y-you should really eat your food.” you know what happened next, yep my heart exploded twice.
“Daww even in her sleep she still thinks about her animal friends.” I said silently
“And how would you know that?” a voice whispered behind me...(clean up on aisle four)
I slowly turn around to find the source of the voice to find Princess Luna giving me a death stare. Mind you that it was no where near as scary as Fluttershy's stare but still pretty damn scary. “Umm Hi?”
“Hello now don't change the subject how do you know that?”
I thought for a moment and said “Well you se- wait, do you have a memory viewing spell of any kind?”
“Ah that could work. I just need you to tell me when you came across that info.”
“About 2 years ago just don't go to deep into it there are some memories that I want to keep in me and I just want to forget.”
She got worried like I was some psychopath murder “like what?”
I sighed in defeat “an emotional breakdown I had those two years ago, if it wasn't for that show to calm me down,” tears start streaming down my face.
“Would you like to talk about it that always makes me feel better” said a new voice
It was Fluttershy who was now laying with her head up and a little tired look in her eyes. “I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you and it's something I just want to keep to myself. Anyways Luna please refrain from the memory spell until I've calmed down now I need some air.” I say as I get up “Are you sure you don't want to talk about it” asked Fluttershy. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked back with a small smile on my face.
“I'll be fine just give me a little while, but thank you for caring about this sad sack.” I say as I walk out the door to the outside.

I've been sitting out here in the grass just staring at the moon. “I've always loved this night sky rather than mine.”
“Why is that, if I may ask?”
“Oh, hey, you see the thing is where I come from there is a thing called light pollution...”
“What's light pollution?”
“When there is so much light in one spot of the world it makes it so we can't see the stars in the sky.”
“You know I was kinda hoping you would come out here... Fluttershy” I said hesitantly
She seemed a little shocked that I knew her name but she didn't say anything about it. “Why is that?” She asked a little scared.
“I was hoping that you could sing me that one lullaby.” I said with a weak smile and small puppy dog eyes.
“Oh um s-sure but um which one?”
I smiled as I started to sing:

It's time to lay your sleepy head

It's time to go to bed.
She nodded as she picked up where I left off.

She continued on but I had fallen back asleep with a smile on my face with those bad memories going back to the back of my mind to be hopefully be stored in lock and key.

The next morning
I awoke to find myself in bed again, I looked around for Fluttershy only not to find just her but the entire Elements of Harmony standing in a group talking with Princess Celestia. She looked up from the group and smiled “Well I hope you had a good night's rest.”
I smiled “Yeah * yawn * the best I had in a while so what did Luna tell you about me so far Celestia?”
She just simply smiled “Oh that you might know more than you seem and I was just telling them about your knowledge.”
To be honest I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to see their reactions to when I know their names “Well I see then you must have used a memory reading spell on me or something”
She nodded “Yes Luna told me she got that idea from you but you seemed pretty upset at the time.” I looked at the ground my smile and playful mood was gone as I was battling in my mind those memories of what happened. Celestia must have noticed that she struck a nerve there, “Sorry I didn't mean to bring any unpleasant memories back.”
“No no it's all right you didn't mean it I know I wish I could forget that day sometimes but at the same time I don't want to, it was both the saddest and happiest days of my life.”
Celestia's eyes widened “Ah yes I saw that I'm sorry they did that to you. I wish there was a way I could help without getting rid of the pleasant memories.”
“It's alright I can only hope nothing triggers those memories, best stay away form the school house.” I gave a little chuckle but was still down. I could feel the awkward tension in the air from that moment. I just had to break it “Well thats enough of being down I'm in my dream world though I thought I would be pony but oh well doesn't matter. I'll just be getting strange looks every now and then... okay a lot but still. Now then I must know this what was the most recent big event that happened?”
Nopony spoke up for a while, “Well” started Fluttershy “There was the wedding of Twilight's big brother and her old foal-sitter Cadence.”
“Good because thats is the extent of my knowledge.”
Now ponies were really confused “But I thought you said you knew about our lives?” questioned Celestia.
“Yeah but not all of it besides I'm lucky if I remember what I had for breakfast, small bit of short term memory loss. But, anyways the wedding of Twilly's B.B.B.F.F. And her foal-sitter Princess Cadence is the most recent event I know. Anything past that nothing.” At 'Twilly's B.B.B.F.F.' Twilight blushed a little probably because I knew her nick name that her brother gave her.
“Well darling, there is something that has been well how do I put this, puzzling me.”
“Let me guess, the clothes right.” She nods, so I decided to just whisper in her ear why I wore clothes all the time, and well lets just say she wasn't a marshmallow pony anymore. “So you know that I am going to need more than just this get up right, do you think your up for the challenge?”
She gave a smirk “Oh I was born ready for this met me at your earliest convenience and I'll get your measurements.”
“I know you are I'll be sure to pay you back as soon as I get some currency here”
She came back through the door “Oh think nothing of it darling I've been waiting for a challenge like this for years.” as she left through the door again I turned around to face the group and sure enough Twilight asks “So why do you need clothes”
“Anatomy” I say in a monotone which she gets the picture and backs off.
“Well now that is out of the way may I ask you a few more questions?” Asked the princess.
“Of course, whats on your mind?”
Chapter 3 Questions
“Alright what's your first question Princess?” I ask preparing my self for all the basic questions.
“Yes, well what are you exactly?”
“I am a human.”
“Alright next is a few questions, where did you come from and how did you get here?”
“I'm from the Planet Earth, Solar System. As for how I got here... I-I don't know I just woke up where you found me” I said looking over to Twilight and Fluttershy. “Speaking of the group that found me what happened to Luna is she at the castle?”
“Yes she left not to long ago. So do you have a name?”
“Oh!” I said blushing “I completely forgot to tell you my name didn't I sorry. My name is James but most people call me Jamie.” I don't know why but this next part just popped into my head and I had to ask. “Umm Princess?”
“Yes what is it dear Jamie”
“Well I was wondering if you had any plans on sending me back.”
“Do you miss your friends and family? I could look in my library back at the castle to see if I have anything on other world travel.”
“No, it's not that my dad never really liked me after I started watching, well this world. He always said that I would never be a man if I kept watching that stuff. As for friends, my only friend moved away to another state. I just wanted to know, Princess, will you allow me to stay here in Equestria nothing was going right while I was at Earth.”
She thought about it for a while thinking of God knows what possibly all things that could go wrong vs the things that could change for the better. “Hmm... I see nothing wrong with your stay here you have my permission and I grant you citizenship as well.”
I had tears in my eyes I was so happy all I really managed to get out was “Thank you.” It was all I could even think.
“Though do you have a place to stay while here?” Twilight asked after I calmed down a bit.
“N-no I don't I didn't even think about that.”
“Well I'm sure I can convince the mayor to allow you a house.” the Princess offered.
“Oh I can't accept that Princess its enough that your allowing me to stay here in this world as it is. I'm sure I can manage...”
“Oh but its no trouble really I'm sure that the mayor will understand once she meets you.”
With that said I came to a sudden realization, “Then thank you again, but how will other ponies react when I come into town. Maybe is there a house at the edge of the Everfree Forest up for sale I'd rather avoid unwanted uh, reactions towards me.”
She nods “Of course I'll see what I can do now then I must be off in the mean time do you think one of you girls could house him until the arrangements are made?” They all nod “Good, I should have arrangements done within three days.” with that she left.
“So who's willing to put up with me for three days?”
“Well judging by your preferences you would be best suited for either Fluttershy's cottage which we are at right now or Applejacks farm.” Twilight said with a smile.
“Well no offense Applejack, but farm life isn't my strong suit. Besides I've always wanted to help out Fluttershy with her animal friends.
“None taken Ah completely understand sides' you don't exactly look farmin' material.”
'Ouch' “Yeah your right on that besides I just love animals.”
Fluttershy seemed to perk up at that “Really you love animals too? What's your favorite is it a dog? Cat? Flamingo?” she said at speeds only Pinkie Pie could match to.
“Actually my favorite animal is a hedgehog.”
“Oh yes I have a hedgehog around here but, he doesn't seem to get along with others. And whenever I try to get near him he'll puff out his spines.”
“Hmm let me see if I can try where is he.”
I do have more but I'm still working on it so this is enough also if at all you feel things going to fast then please tell me. But yes I did intend on revealing the brony society to the ponies as quickly as possible. I hope you enjoy this oh and don't expect updates that much college searching as well as job searching is my number 1 right now. Though after searching I'll either work more on the story or play video games.
