Twilight was rushing down the halls as fast as she can to the music room for band practice, but that was not the reason she was running. Today was the day she is going to ask Sunset on a date, it took her weeks to work up the courage after the beautiful girl saved her at the Friendship Games.
She stopped running as soon as she a couple of classes away.
"Took you long enough. What took you so long anyway?" Rainbow asked as Twilight walked in.
"Sorry. Lost track of time. So where's Sunset?"'Twilight asked as she looked around not seeing her
But before anyone can answer Sunset ran in knocking Twilight over. "Sorry about that." She said as she helped Twilight's back to her feet.
"That's fine... Can I ask you something before we started...In private." Twilight asked nervously.
"Sure I guess. It alright with you guys?" Sunset asked getting a nod from most of the group.
"So what's up," Sunset asked as she and Twilight walked outside of the room.
"Well you see is.." Twilight said as she nervously rubbed her hands together
"Twi you can tell me anything," Sunset said as she put her hands over Twilights
"Ok," Twilight said as she let out a sigh. "I was wondering if you want to see the new Daring Do movie... Just the two of us.."
"Like a date?" She asked getting a slow nod from Twilight. "Am flattered but... How do I put this.."
"I guess I was wrong then..."
"No its..." Sunset let out a sigh. "Its that I'm dating someone... The other you actually," she said with a chuckle
"Oh. I did not know that... Dose the other know?" She asked with a sad tone
"No.. Well Rarity knows but... Look I'm sorry about all this. We can still be friends right?"
"Ya... Tell the girls I'm not feeling well ok." Twilight said as she started to walk away
"Ok. Call us if you need anything!" Sunset called after her. "Poor girl." She said as she walked back into the room
Twilight decides to take a walk in the park to clear her mind
"What was I thinking," Twilight said as she walked with her head down kicking a rock. Not seeing where she is going she bumped into someone.
"Oop's. Sorr.."Twilight looked up and saw that she walked into Sunset...Well the other Sunset because this had her hair tied up into a ponytail and was wearing Crystal Prep uniform
"No, I'm sorry I should have looked where I was going. Hey, are you ok?" Sunset asked as she helped Twilight up
'I am fine it's just.." Twilight said as she shivered due to her forgetting her jacket back at school
"Look there is a café not too far from her. Why don't we go grab a drink that should harm you up."
"Umm. Ok, I guess." Twilight said as she followed this world Sunset
The café was bigger than the Sweet Shop. In one of the corner's they had a place for readings and stand-up
"Here you go. Two green tea's anything else." The waiter said
"No, we're fine for now. Thank's Abyss." Sunset said. With a nod, he walked away. "So what's making you sad?" She asked taking a sip of her tea
"It just.," Twilight said as she traced her finger around her cup
"I get it. I'm a stranger and all you don't need to tell me." She said with a smile
Twilight let out a sigh. "So you just moved here? I have not seen you around before." She asked finally taking a sip
"I just moved back actually from Manehattan."
"I see. And you are going to Crystal prep then."
"How did..Ah the uniform," Sunset said getting Twilights to chuckle. "My mom wanted me to attend the school my father went to...Tomorrow is my first real day."
"It a nice school. Many people are competitive or were. I use to go there."
"You did you. Then why change schools? I heard it's one of the top schools in this District."
"Well, a lot of things.." Twilight said as she stared into her cup. "For one I did not fit in, as I said too much rivalry. Second I met.... some friends that accepted me for who I am after the Friendship Games." She said taking a sip
"Am guessing something went wrong with one of these girls. That's why we were so mopy." Sunset said as she put her cup down
"Something like that." Twilight took a deep breath. "She is the one that showed me what true friendship is."
"Don't worry about it. There is plenty of fish in the sea." Sunset said with a wink which made Twilight face turn red
"I..I...I never said anything like that." Twilight said as she looked away trying to hide her blush
"Calm down I was joking, but with that reaction, it seems I hit the nail."
"I..Yes, she is wonderful.." Twilight stopped and think 'What should I say, I can't tell her it's her doppelganger... Can I.'
"So, I guess she's hot then," Sunset said with a smile as Twilight gave a half nod
"What no! I mean yes she is but ahh." Twilight said trying to fix her mistake of not listening
"I get it. You know you're cute when you're frustrated." Sunset said as she giggled
"I ahh. Thanks.." Twilight said staring into her cup. 'Ok, this is weird.' Twilight thought
A couple of minutes passed before anyone spoke. "So why are you being so nice to me? We just met." Twilight asked as she looked up from her tea to see Sunset staring at her
"Well.." Sunset said as she stared Twilight in the eye. "You seemed down out there. Maybe you needed someone to talk to."
"I guess. This is making me feel better." Twilight said with a smile. 'better but weird at the same time.'
The cafè's clock stroke 6
"Oh no. I am going to be late getting home. Sorry gotta run." Twilight said as she picked up her bag and head to the door
"Wait. Can I have your number I want to see if you make it on time?" Sunset said stopping Twilight at the door
"Ahh. Sure." Twilight said as she rushed back to the table and quickly wrote her number on a napkin before rushing out the door again
'Wait a minute' Twilight thought as she slowed down seeing as she was a couple of blocks away from her house. "Did I just gave her my number?"
That night Twilight stayed up texting Sunset...The one from this world, the human world.
The next day
"Hey, Twi you seem tired today," Sunset said as she walked up to Twilight's locker
"Ya, I just stayed up all..." She said but was interrupted by her phone
"So how texting you? Is it Flash." Sunset asked
"No, its someone I met yesterday." She said reading the text
It's weird a lot of people seem to know me
Don't worry about it.
Twilight smiled as she put away her phone
"Ohh. So who is it? Whoever it is making you smile after what happened yesterday." Sunset said as the other walked up
"No one too important right now." She said as she closed her locker and walked off to class
"You did tell. Right dear?" Rarity whispered to Sunset and she nodded in response
