It's been a busy season, but I've got some great fic recs in this set. Also I've just reached seven years on Fimfic, so yay I guess.

*for a relative amount of "recent"
(You can find my current recommendations here.)
I didn't do much reading last season--word count wise, at least--but I still found a number of stories that I can recommend wholeheartedly. Check them out below!
edit: fourths has decided to take her stories off FimFiction and it doesn't seem appropriate for me to be reposting this story in its entirety. Anyone interested can find the annotation present in the archives on her user page.
(Help, I need more words to add to my alliterative title!)
In my ongoing quest to say more with less (which is admittedly going poorly), I'll be writing some quick reviews of some stories I read recently that I think more people should read. Aside from some basic metadata stuff, like important tags and simple summaries/descriptions, I'm aiming for a maximum of five sentences. In any case, here are some wonderful stories that I read over the summer!
Constellations | The Conversion Bureau | Creeping Darkness | A Cup of Joe | Cupcakes
Dancing on Silver Strings | Daylight Burning | Diary of a Ruler | A Drop of Sunlight | Eternal
Some lessons I’ve learned preparing this set:
1. Write better notes so you don’t have to reread the story.
2. Sometimes it’s really hard to find Suggested Reading.
3. Appreciate all the folks who take the time to write reviews, it’s bloody hard.
Allegrezza | Anthropology | The Archer and the Smith | Arddun Lleuad | The Best Night Ever
Best Young Flyer | Beyond the Wall | Black and White | Carousel | A Common Sky
Most readers who were active in the fandom from late 2011 to late 2013 are probably at least passingly aware of RBDash47’s Pony Fiction Vault.
Here I'll be archiving any comments in stories I've made that I believe to be reasonably critical, or at least somewhat lengthy enough to merit attention. Most of these comments are positive in nature, since I'm more likely to comment on stories I like and that I'm more likely to remember comments on stories that I've enjoyed than stories that I disliked or had no strong opinion on.
I like to read in large spurts. Recently, I've decided that every once in a while, I would select a few large stories to read back to back. It gives me the motivation to read as much as I can, especially if I save the ones I'd expect to be the best. Blah blah blah, I'm no good at words.
This time the stories I've read are:
The Wind Thief, by Cold in Gardez
It Takes A Village, by determamfidd
Austraeoh and Eljunbyro, both by Imploding Colon
