Ponies always said that Spearhead could bring a canvas to life like no other.
Little did they know how right they were.
Thanks to starcoder and Thesmokingguy for helping with the story and TheDriderPony for helping with the cover art!
Entry for the A Thousand Words II contest under the Horror category!
can't put put into words how much or why much I love this moment. I think mainly, this is where the madness really set it.
great read!
I'm a huge fan of The Magic of Art, so this really hit the spot for me! I loved it!
so true
it is good to know one’s strengths!
ooh that is a wonderful feeling, though perhaps not leading to a good place in this case, given the category
so true actually
oh that’s different!
so true! i am so happy for Spearhead here. i might not be the best person to read this story as “Horror”, haha. but that goes to show that you captured something real about getting swept up in the beauty and agony of creation, to the point of one’s own destruction (which SOME people consider “bad”, i guess!). thank you for writing!
It is the fate of many artists to be consumed by their work. Some more literally than others.
It probably says something about me that I didn’t find this descent into madness especially frightening. Fascinating presentation of the creative process taken to an absurd yet ultimately logical conclusion. Thank you for it.
