Silver Glow, writing in her journal · 4:21am Mar 7th, 2017
A lovely piece by Blue Wolf, and perhaps the most suitable image to open this blog post.
My friends, it's been a long journey for us and for Silver Glow, and now it is time for it to draw to a close. There is but one chapter left, and I think that you can probably guess what it will be. It was a chapter I didn't plan to write, and that I didn't want to write, but it needs to be written.
Something about her facial expression reminds me of Minty.

Oh Dear. i haven't read it yet but when you say it like that it sounds like this story shall be a Tragedy.
I can't for the life of me guess on what that chapter will cover but hopefully we will see it tomorrow!

No, it doesn't turn into a tragedy.
4446309
You shall indeed.
Oh. As requested in the blog post, huh?
Well... doing that feels fitting to the portrait of the man you painted in the story.
Real life interrupted my reading of the story back in ... I think it was early April. I guess its time to go back and finish.
4446315
I will take your word for it. But should i reach the end and it is a sad ending i will call you out for this. If not, than good job, I don't actually get to read that many Comedies.

Suddenly, Silver dies of influenzapneumoniacancerAIDS!
It HAS to be written for no other reason than you need less than 500 words to break a million. If you fell that small a distance short of such a large number it was be a literal crime and we'd have to send the word police after you.
4446329 You mean the lack of words police?
*GASP* how horrific a fate!
I'm pretty sure I can guess the last chapter, but I want to keep quiet until it posts. Admiral I'll tell you if I guessed right once I read it.
What's the alien behind her? See it's antenna in the darkness, just lurking there.
Man, I wish I could have kept up with your update schedule, but it burned me out after a few months. On the plus side, I still have plenty more of a good story to read.
Does it have anything to do with real world current events? If so that's one guess.
If not - then I hope it's to hit the million marker & involves meeting Sunbutt.
I get the feeling the chapter is about Conrad dying.
And lo, when all is Complete
It shall be consumed at last
Slowly, because Jesus, not even I read that fast.
Please end it on a good note and have their human friends come to Equestria SOMEHOW
Has it really been more than a year of daily updates? I'm going to miss this...
You've written more words in this single story than I have in 38 stories :(
I love it grate art work.
Still stuck in mid-November. Sorry, been reading Without a Hive. I'll get back on the Silver Glow train soon enough. I just won't be there in time to see it pull into the station.
I am weirdly sad about this considering I'm still in August so I have a ways to go before getting to the end =P
Feel better, everyone, I am but halfway through April!
I kinda lost track of this for a while. I think I'm in the middle of October or maybe the beginning of November....
4446316
Yes, exactly.
It's funny, I hadn't really thought of him all that much until I started writing the story, and then it all came back.
4446317
I'd recommend small bursts here and there, maybe a chapter or two a day. I'm not sure how well it works if you try to binge it.
And I can understand real life getting in the way.
4446318
It's sad and bittersweet, as parting often is. Also, it's not a comedy, by any stretch of the imagination.
4447635
First you say it isn't a Tragedy, then you tell me it isn't a comedy. If it starts happy (which so far it does) and ends sadly it is by definition a Tragedy, so I'm going with that.

4446337
At least it's not the Library Police. I read a novella about them by Stephen King, and I've been afraid to return a book late ever since.
Honestly, anyone following along with the blogs will probably be able to guess, because I think that the story needs that closure.
4446341
Pay no mind to the alien in the shadows.
I'm amazed I managed it, to be honest. And I can understand not being able to keep up with it; heck, it's longer than the Bible. Probably as long as the first six Harry Potter books combined (IIRC, the whole series tips in at about 1.4 million words).
4446342
Well, not exactly, but sort of yes. Probably not what you're thinking.
No Sunbutt, I'm afraid; the more I thought about it, the more it seemed that Princess Twilight would be the logical choice to meet with the ponies.
4446347
You have guessed well.
4446350
4446358
That's a tale for another time.
4446407
More than a year, in fact. The first chapters were published on Feb. 25. Amazing how time flies.
4446436
Well, that may be so, but your stories are really good--you're a much better writer than I am.
4446492
4446502
Understandable; I think that one's on my RiL. (Along with enough other stories that it would take me more than a year to read them all, probably.)
Not unless you've got a time machine, anyways.
4446696
For a while, I've been dreading reaching the end.
4447285
You've got quite the ride ahead of you!
4447360
Then the only solution is to start again from the beginning!
(If you're reading it online, the little checkboxes should help. If you're downloading chapters . . . I dunno if there's an easy way to figure out where you stopped).
4447649 I was wrong'ish. I was expecting a happy ending, maybe made bittersweet by Megs telling Silver about Conrad.
He sounds like he would have been an interesting person to know.
4447666 Might do that, might not. I just finished getting caught up with YHaY: The Ballad of Nasty Jack. I think I'm game for another reading binge.
4447675
That probably would have been a happier ending.
He was, and I wish that I'd known him better than I did. As I recall, he actually retired not long after I had my only class with him.
