Waking up to an explosion and a shower of cold water is not how most people start their day. Neither do people typically find themselves turned into pony/ship hybrids with a possibly unwanted sex change thrown on top for good measure. Nevertheless, our protagonist decides to ignore these issues until civilization is reached. And once that's done...who knows? After all one surely does not get naval guns with the intent that they not be used. And if, or when, they're used who will be on the wrong side of those barrels? One thing is for sure though, logic has clearly taken a vacation.

Ooh, choosing a battlecruiser for your cover art - risky move. They may be faster, but lack the armor of pure dreadnoughts. If anything, fast battleships offer a nice balance of speed, armor, and firepower.

True, true and that is exactly why I choose a battlecruiser, among other reasons.
Great story so far but I have to ask you a question are you going to keep this story going or are you going to be like the other ones and just write five to six chapters then disappear???

Who knows? I'm currently working on chapter 3 which is probably going to be released either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

If I started the story with a character from Kancolle, then sure. Yeah, I'd be tempted to make the cover art something from Kancolle, but as is no character from Kancolle has appeared
yet. Only thing from Kancolle as of now is some concepts from fairies to repair. Besides, as far as I know the image is in the public domain.I share that disappointment.

I honestly find this interesting, I see possible elements from other stories that I’ve read on this site, sometimes it feels like the stories progressing too quickly but that is my personal opinion.

I'm glad you find the story interesting and as I've said in the accompanying blog post this story was inspired by The Shipmare of Great Harmony (and possibly Texas: A Time to fight since I've still got that tab open) and a couple of others on Spacebattles forums with the hope that I could incorporate elements from those stories before branching off. As far as I know the morgana from the game Victory Belles haven't appeared in any fics yet, or at least on Tvtropes fanfic recommendations or fanworks lists yet. As for how the story's progressing I've thought I was taking my sweet when compared other stories, but that might just be me. Here's hoping I can break the Kancolle curse and actually compete this fic...or at least inspire someone else to write and finish one.
