This story is a sequel to Twilight's Final Salvo
The School of Explosions was co-founded by Twilight and Discord, owing to their shared love of explosions. Gathering teachers from all over Equestria, shenanigans will happen as they try to teach creatures the art of explosions.
The chapters are not in chronological order, but I will leave a date before every chapter to try and leave a coherent timeline. Chapters will update whenever I get an idea, so updates will be irregular.

Here, let's try something somewhat similar to the movie Speed that could give you a challenge—
If Zecora is a potions teacher, a student could be creating a potion that goes awry and has a mini explosion of its own, and somehow causes everyone to get stuck in the room (I dunno, be creative). Then it causes anyone that it gets splashed on to speak in couplets like her. Then, if anyone that wasn't splashed in the room doesn't speak in couplets themselves, something in the room explodes.
TL;DR— Write in rhyme.

Maybe there could be a test for the students to create the biggest explosion and have it accidentally blow up Twilight's castle--the one in Canterlot that is. Or just blow up her now-former castle.

Twilight is now the ultimate authority in the kingdom. As such she can repeal any and all laws, contracts, and/ or decrees previously made that she wishes to. Any objections would be consider treason, punishable by being immediatetly exploded.
In short Celestia forgot to consider the fine print.
Kind of wonder what the first meeting between Trixie and Twilight would be like when Twi has a thing for explosions. I could easily see the entire episode just being them comparing various compositions of gun powder.

Honestly I'd say Trixie would probably come to rely on Twilight for her shows, I mean Twilight could have figured out or develop anything Trixie might need for putting on a bit of flash. Mixing in magic will make it even better! Imagine a firework that produces a single ball of light, but instead of fading it sends out little pulses of various colors until it fades?

Worth mentioning here how Megumin's signature spell actually works. While they don't actually have the needed science to use that terminology in-universe, it sounds like she's converting things to antimatter in order to turn whatever she wants into the best possible bomb.
