I know that, I just would like to know how it happened, if it happened at all.

I don't know if it was you who asked how they defeated certain enemies if there was no magic and I said this was in an alternate universe but here are the possibilities:
1) Sunset Shimmer could be the one from the human world and I don't think her personality is different and like I said there is no magic so it is not possible for her to be the pony Sunset.
2) Gloriosa never found those magical gems from the fourth movie so they never fought with her and possibly found another solution to what was happening to her and her brother.
3) Sci-twi was at Crystal Prep and as she saw in the movie, she never had a good time there and at some point she decided to transfer to Canterlot. Since not all of them are her main ones and I may not go into it too much depth... I'll just say that Sunset met Twilight and they became friends with her. Plus, she retains a bit of her insecurity, which is why I said she stuttered at Pinkie's question.
4) Finally, being an alternate universe, the same thing does not always have to happen in all the lines, some things changed and took their course from what I have shown so far... I hope to see things clarified a little. .
