Well this was certainly a nice start. I like how you portray the child changeling thinking/mindset as that of nearly a foal but was still able to convey what was occurring scene by scene with proper comprehension to the reader.
Perhaps the only nitpick was where the changeling came from? What's his origins cause to have him just pop out of nowhere is kind of farfetched.
Hope this will be explained in the next chapter.

Well this was a clever way to introduce your oc characters of the Mane Six: The Next Generation. So will there be interlude chapters into Butterfly''s childhood?
Anyway the one minor nitpick would be that there isnt a specific year stated for how many years have past. Perhaps you could have started the chapter with
