Hey everyone, it's been a while, I know.
Just as an update for Bluebird, the new chapter is almost ready. I was hoping to finish it before September, as I was attending two conventions that month, including one in Germany. However, more prep was needed for them than I anticipated. Once they were finished, I thought I finally had time to finish it. Then I got news...
I work in the games industry, and many game companies have decided to indulge in layoffs through restructuring, including mine. I had already witnessed layoffs where I worked before, but this was the first time I was placed at risk of redundancy. For the last four weeks, I've been on garden leave. All the while, the company is going through a consultation period, so elected representatives can argue the "proposed" restructure, redundancy package, and any other outcome or support from those being made redundant. However, I've seen the company's response, and they aren't sympathetic, knowing they are doing these layoffs close to Xmas when the job market is low.
As such, most of my time has been spent looking for alternative work wherever it can be found. Once I know I'll have secure work, I'll be fine.

Given it's another country, this probably won't be as helpful, but From software has announced their expanding. Maybe they have an American office that can be joined.
