Applewood, the Equestrian Dream factory, the central hub of all things cinema. Equestria is currently undergoing the golden years of film, but it wasn't always like this.

In truth, there was a time when no pony thought that cinema would ever catch on, when it was seen as nothing more than a form of magic trick or side show attraction at the circus. But a striving filmmaker named Flicker Light knew otherwise. He has a dream, one he won't let die until it is fully realized.

But the streets of Coltifornia are not as friendly as they were before Luna was sent to the moon almost a thousand years ago. Mobsters, Con artists, elitists and the ever looming threat of civil war hangs over the streets like a fog. There's no room for emerging artists and revolutionaries in this decrepit, crime run world. That is, of course, until Flicker met the ghost of the theatre...


I would recommending reading IDW's MLP:FIM comic Issue #66 for full understanding, but it isn't required.

This fic and many of the characters in it are heavily based off of real film history, but in no way is this story accurate to actual events or historical figures. It's simply inspired by the founding of cinema and Hollywood, nothing more.
