In which two kind care-taker ponies have some tea in the cold of an autumn evening, explore their own identities, with one shy and withdrawn, the other assertive and confrontational.

Exploring the relationship between the two gentle ponies with a 'dark side', something I've wanted to do more since Starlight's Five Scrolls diary chapters awhile ago.

This story is a sequel to Glimmering Guidance

{ specifically, a sequel to the first self-contained chapter }

Starlight Glimmer hit it off well with Fizzlepop Berrytwist during their first counselling meeting,
but a specialized training program the dark unicorn has planned for the school,
accidentally reveals some unpleasant friction between the two ex-villains,
their futures entwined regardless, for the sake of Equestria.
And now Starlight's best friend Trixie wishes to confront Tempest too...

Starlight Glimmer gets quite a few interesting characters to counsel in her office,
each with an emotional, psychological or social problem in need of discussion,
ready to offer advice, hugs, and sometimes just listening.

Each chapter will be a self-contained 'session' of Starlight trying to help those who come to her,
for whatever friendship problem they may have.
Character names will be added as this goes along!

Guidance Counselor Starlight can't seem to relax.
The Great and Powerful Trixie decides to change that,
guiding her to a mysterious grotto, deep in the Everfree Forest...

I have been struggling with story-writer's block.
This story is partially an expression of that,
and also of my appreciation for these two wonderful ponies.

Starlight Glimmer felt restless and uncertain,
after those strange events deep in the Everfree Forest.
Something did not feel right.
But when she wakes up,
she will find out
that things are far worse
than she ever imagined.

Starlight Glimmer wishes to speak her mind with the Sun Princess,
though she is a bit nervous to do so.

Guidance Counselor Starlight enjoys relaxing above the School of Friendship when classes are done,
the waterfalls keeping her company.
But she soon finds a curious Ocellus joining her,
unaware of the little changedling's intentions...

Starlight Glimmer hasn't completely gotten over her dark and troubled past.
Every so often, she still gets troubled dreams, whether asleep or awake.

Burdened by the guilt and uncertainty, she hurries to teacher Twilight Sparkle,
desperate for comfort and guidance.
But can such a wonderful pony as Twilight understand the old wickedness of Starlight?

It's been a long time since I posted a story here, or since I wrote anything over 500 words.
This all came out at once in one night, but much of the concept has been in my mind for awhile,
so I'm glad I got it off my chest and into a story.

This story is a sequel to Starlight Glimmer's Old Logbook

Starlight Glimmer felt pretty awkward sharing her super depressing and psychologically unnerving old logbook with Twilight Sparkle, but it was for the best to give her teacher greater insight into her student.

Now she has left a gift of many scrolls, her new diary entries,
made since she first began learning under Twilight's friendship tutelage.

She hopes that Twilight finds this particular insight a bit more encouraging...
At least, comparatively so!

Starlight Glimmer feels better about herself nowadays, for she has become a great student of friendship.
Her long and troubled history is behind her.
Yet it is also recorded in a personal magical logbook, for her eyes only.
Until she decides to share her dark past with her mentor, Twilight Sparkle.
