Yep, there's not much writing going on. I'm just glad I got chapter 21 out. Sheesh, that one was a thorn in my side for a long time.
Sometimes I forget I have the social skills equivalent of a dried up worm on the edge of the sidewalk.
Yep, there's not much writing going on. I'm just glad I got chapter 21 out. Sheesh, that one was a thorn in my side for a long time.
The backlog is growing.
I have 2 chapters ready for edits and one in the works currently. I'll publish the once they're edited, which is soon. God, I hate editing. Necessary evil, unfortunately.
I realise before my hiatus the pacing of the chapters were grinding to a halt. Now things are going to ramp up fast. Day 1 is over. Day 2 is where shit is going to go down.
And more to come. This is the most progress I had in a while. It's amazing what you can do in one night when you don't have noisy roommate s distracting you.
I only managed to get one chapter finished, and given the arc about to come up, that one chapter isn't enough. It's depressing. I wanted to take January to build up a backlog of chapters, but that didn't happen. Too many distractions. Good news is I know where I want to go with the story. I have a plan. All I need to do is find a quiet place to work with no distractions.
This is my set date to get a chapter out. I took a break from writing all December, and now I'm setting myself a due date to get something done.
So NanoWrimo is a thing. I tried doing that this month, and I got pretty good at writing words. 2-3k a night, not bad. But then I said, "Screw this. Work is killing me right now. I need shuteye." I got about 35k words out before saying screw it.
*"Actually, female griffons tend to have more muscle mass than their male counterparts, but males have more plumage and thus look bulkier. A good way to tell the difference is to look at their heads. Male griffons have squared-heads, while female griffons, such as the specimen we have before us, are more rounded."
Yep, it's been a month since I released Gilda into the streets of Manehattan. Well, she hasn't been released so much as meandered around town and run into a few baddies. I figured I'd talk about how it's doing for a moment, then I'll continue dicking around in photoshop figuring out how people make pretty looking colors with paints.
