PB&J sandwiches? I thought they'd be eating a steady diet of government cheese.

Dang it, I didn't even think about that.
I’m just gonna leave this here.

Maybe it's because you've been using your fanfics for rolling doobies.
you get a like for the reference.... don't even need to read it... bam! you get the like!

Thanks, but you'll still read it right?
I can picture Adagio's speech going like this:
Adagio: Now kids are probably saying to yourself 'I'm gonna use my siren powers to take over the world!' Well, I’m here to tell you that you’re probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you’re not gonna amount to Jack Squat! You’re gonna end up eating a steady diet of tacos and PB&J, and living in a van down by the river!
I just realized that the Dazzlings have the potential to be the MLP version of the Three Stooges: a pack of unsympathetic schmucks who pick on each other. I wish Hasbro had made a miniseries about that.

If I ever do a sequel I might just have to use that speech!
If only they could have asked the trailer park boys for help:/
This little story made me laugh out loud.
And, unlike Matt Foley, it actually explains how one's major life mistakes lead to living in a van down by the river!
This was genuinely sweet, funny, and interesting!
Excellent job!
Totally Fresh!
Great Chris Farley homage. Of course, FiM has also made their own homage to this sketch with Spitfire's motivational speech to Scootaloo about being in a "Full Wing and Body Cast Drinking through a Straw!"
Now I really want to see a sequel where the Dazzlings are called in to give a speech about the perils of dark magic use to Wallflower Blush.
"Oh, you like gardening do yah? Well there will be plenty of plants to take care of when you're LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!"
So why was this chapter by itself, and not a part of the sequel?

When I wrote it I hadn't considered doing a sequel.
Why am I getting Welcome to the Show flashbacks

The MLP version of the Three Stooges, huh? I imagine it's safe to say the Dazzlings were a victim of coicumstance.

Have you ever heard of chronicles of Narina?
Take a shot everytime the phrase “van by the river” is said 😂
Good lil short story and now I’m curious on the skit it was based on.

Matt Foley: Van Down By The River
9766925
I was just gonna say that lmao!
You don't wanna end up living in a van DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!
She's got a point.
Yep, since she really likes them, heck her outfit she had in backstage pass has them on it.
That last past will certainly be a nightmare for sunset to handle.
I always wondered what the Dazzlings would be doing with their van, but seeing them living in a van down by a river just breaks my heart. No three teenage girls have deserved to live in a van down by a river, even if they have mind controlled school heads, divided students and wanted to take over the world. Now, if four teenage girls would have the fate of living in a van down by a river, then it would be acceptable, but with three teenage girls living in a van down by a river, they won't be able to substain themselves.
But I'm glad to see that Sonata was able to found a job and help them get out of living in a van down by a river, as there is no way it would be otherwise easy to live in a van down by a river, but it's kind of surprising that Sunset gave them the particular job of making motivational speeches. Nonetheless, I assume that Sonata told Sunset that they were living in a van down by a river, and that gave Sunset enough reason that these girls were only fitting for this job, as when you are able to survive living in a van down by a river, then you are able to survive anything else.
These three girls definitely deserve the job, as hopefully they will never face the cruel fate of living in a van down by a river.
I think the universe has played a joke on the Sirens in a way that kinda benefits them.
It beats them having to live in a van down by the river!
