The City of Caracas, Venezuela, has been under a lot of pressure after the new government has decided to force itself on the population. The new government, lead by a rural man that lived on the mountainous and distant Táchira that had nothing to do with the Caracas elite, gaining their complete disdain for a man that came by force instead of votes.
Then came the earthquake of 1900 which destroyed much of the city and, in the midst of the rubble a little foal was found. What made this foal so unique was the little horn on her head, gaining much of the world's attention and giving the Venezuelan president something new to think about as he tries to fix an already destroyed country that he also helped to ruin.
This is the story of the unicorn raised by the andeans and how she would reshape the country.
Inspired by this story that it's worth a read with the distinction that the divergence from the original timeline won't be noted until much later on the story.
This... I'm genuinely excited to see where this goes, and that's a bit more than I can say for some of the other recent fics I've read. Well done.

Thanks, I'll try to research a bit more on this era (I really mean it when I say it isn't very well covered*) because I want to be as careful with the representation as possible.
*The thing is that Cipriano Castro is only covered when speaking about the dictator Juan Vicente Gómez. You see, Castro came to power in 1899 and he created the period called The Andean Hegemony (where only the people who lived on the Andean Region would rule, hence, why I mention those three states at the beginning) which lasted until October of 1945 and Cipriano was removed in 1908 by his best friend, Gómez, who ruled until December or 1935 (when he died) so I want to start of this series with the one who started all of this, since he usually isn't very covered by modern historians.

Well, this is a very intriguing story idea. I'll admit, I haven't really read the story this got inspired from, but I've always found intriguing the ways one could take a MLD style story. Like all the crossover ones. Though using historical figures is also an interesting take on the concept.

Considering how she became an alicorn in the first place in the show, just from an objective view I'd say that she shouldn't. Unless this Earth is not just like ours... or something other than Twilight has-crossed/will-cross over to make it possible. Personally... well, could be interesting as an idea, but I'd go for plausibility. Though that's just me.

I was originally planning to do an update for this story last year but 2020 struck me hard, I do have the next chapter planned but I've been debating myself about how to end the story.
Since this is just the first chapter, I've been debating myself if I should just make this a "Twilight/Pony through an even in Human History" or to introduce more ponies as a "something happened in Equestria and now ponies are appearing on our world" or to imply that other nations also had got ponies. I'm going for the latter, since I feel the most comfortable with it, but I'm still debating it as I plan the next three chapters.
