Believe it or not, this is yet another instance of Shin borrowing from real life. I don't recall the specifics, but there WAS a case where twin girls were born, a nurse made off with one of the babies and named it the exact same as the other girl...and by pure happenstance they ended up being roommates at college or something, which is when they found out they were twins.

Well, while this isn’t the same case as the one Blue mentioned, here’s one that shows it still happens.
I am officially caught up now and loving it a lot.
Finally caught up with this story
I found this series and AU about 2 weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next Book VI ( hopefully there will be).
The rewritten timeline does leave us with a few questions. Is everything else that happened that is not stated here still the same as Book IV? Is Devine stilll the serial killer with the SIREN army? What happens now that the Dazzlings are not part of the SIRENs? Were Sunnys family and friends also captured here? What happened to Pine, the only other surviving SIREN? Do they all know she's now an alicorn? Since human Sunset is a princess and here pony Sunset is now her thought to be dead twin, does that make her a princess here? So many other questions I can think off. I think most of this needs to be clarified in the sequel.
That being said I would love to see a scene where back in Equestria, Sunset has to attend her own coronation. Preferably with some of her human family and friend in tow. That could be quite an amusing chapter.

Don't you fret, book V here is not finished yet. And even when it eventually is, there are still many more stories planned for the future! All these questions and more may be answered sooner than you think!
