You can not inherit immortality, you can only inherited ever-living-ness (the fact that you will never age over a certain degree).
Immortality is something that transcends pure physis for it defines that you simply can not die, by no cause whats so ever.
On the contrary, to be eternal, what transcends the concept of energy in total, means that, even if you may die once you will be back, no matter what, and you will be there even after the end of time it self.
And on the other side the term "Wiedergänger"(German) what literally means 'one who walks again' means that even so you died, you came back, at least this time. More often than not Wiedergänger is misunderstood in modern pop and game culture to be something between an Litch and an undead uberworrier, what in effect isn't totally wrong, but would be akin to saying all Cars are Landrovers...
A Wiedergänger does not even need to be 'dead'.
And as far as I see it here, Bakmah is definitely a Wiedergänger, as long as he will cease to be for sure when his last remaining body is destroyed.
