Sadly, this is only the first step in a great game of chess, and the resulting prank war proceeds to break all rules of conflict in an effort to save face and earn payback. There are no limits, no boundaries, and no song or solo too sacred to interrupt -- because silence is golden, but duct tape is silver.

Well, I normally one-shot-and-done with comedies. To be honest I use them to (hopefully) lure readers to my longer stories. I'd totally take a request to write more on a story if I heard it from several people though.

4770446 Noted. The way I see it there are two options.
First is a dark chapter, in which Vinyl gets pissed about what Octavia did to her, and does something in return. Would not recommend this, as it sort of ruins the comedic feel of the whole piece.
Next is something more lighthearted, in which Vinyl, as I said before, maybe shows Octavia she knows how to use the tape like that too. This is what I would like to see, if only because it fits this story so well.

Well, as a classical guitarist, I fully understand Octavia's plight. As a metal vocalist and guitarist, I think they're both missing the mark. I'm still waiting on Vinyl to learn how to play an instrument.

5138854 Octavia has no "plight" in this story. Having a noisy housemate whose musical tastes irritate you is an irritation, not a plight. She is an elitist snob who feels she has a right to tie Vinyl up for hours for not adhering to her wishes, and is now pissy because Vinyl had the nerve to retaliate. Even if the first installment is humorously done, that fact remains.
Vinyl should have been more considerate, but that does not excuse what Octavia did.
None of this would have happened if she had controlled herself, but she did not, and what happens next? Time will tell.
As to knowing how to play an instrument? Many disk jockeys do, and even those who don't honestly are not less musicians for that fact. Their instrument is the turntable.

the fermada is the semi circle with the dot in it, it means hold the note until conductor, or drum major in my case, gives the signal to stop
the other symbol is a rest where you don't play anything.
now if you fermada a rest then you stay silent until order not to...that is why it means shut da hell up.

You can (and I have done so while drinking and not paying attention) if you push straight down and slip, your hand will slip off toward the center of the door. My excuse is that levitated 30 some odd objects is an incredibly taxing task, both mentally and physically. Perhaps that would cut it, perhaps not.
