The only thing more shocking than a letter from their parents is what it says.

As a filly, Applejack is the most friendly pony other than her mom. When another filly moves into the farm across the street, she and the filly quickly become friends. The two go through practically everything together. School, houses burning down, family members passing.

This story follows the first day after their union.

The night time wedding leads to cuddles under the stars as they come to terms with the Pear family's exit from Ponyville.

The following day, Pear Butter does her best to settle into her new family. They also have fun getting to know each other more as husband and wife.

It came from the depths of the Everfree; a plague unlike anypony had ever encountered. What began as a simple oddity became a nightmare that very nearly plunged Ponyville into a darkness from which it might never have recovered from.

And Bright Macintosh was there to see it all. To bear witness to the event that would forever be known only as... the Trouble.

It’s Christmas time at Sweet Apple Acres and everyone is super excited. But Christmas and family time also makes the three Apple children wonder about their mother’s family and past, causing the Apple matriarch to think about what made her hide what happened from her children in the first place.

Pear Butter wants to bake a special birthday cake for her husband, one which has been made in the apple household for generations and that she knows he loves, but learns that sometimes things don't go exactly as planned...

Sugar Belle is pregnant and is expecting her first foal very soon. Big Macintosh, the soon to be father, is excited and so is everypony else who knows.

However, Sugar Belle can't help but feel a little nervous and bored. So to help take her mind off her problems, Big Mac offers to tell his wife what his parents went through with their first foal (him).
