MA Larson confirmed for returning for season 5 · 9:38pm May 9th, 2014
I'm quite excited, as he is the number one writer for the show in my eyes. They really need his help.

From the horse's mouth on Twitter: "Amending Fences was my last involvement with the show" -- M. A. Larson. I'm not sure whether either Dave Polsky or Cindy Morrow are writing S6 episodes, but if not then there'll be nobody left at all from the S1 days. Well, assuming Meghan McCarthy doesn't make an unexpected ep-writing return, I suppose. Is this a sign that we won't be getting any more FiM? I don't have a clue. But we
Here's a MLP trivia question: What is the connection between the season 1 episode Swarm of the Century, the Irish capital, and soul music?
I'm a bit surprised by how much criticism this one is getting; I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it was quite up in classic territory, but it held its own with most of the rest of S6 so far. I do think it lost its way a bit in the second half (during the first half it was on course for an easy four-star rating), but on the whole a pretty solid debut by new writer Dave Rapp. ★★★/★★★★ (I really can't decide)
A little more (with spoilers) after the break...
Here is Equestria Daily's summary of what was said.
The most interesting bits I found were:
Failed pitches?
Amy: Some of (mine) ended up as journal passages in the Journal of the Two Sisters book.
Larson: A friendship between Luna and Applejack at the beach.
(still spoken in the DBZ announcer's voice)
Next time on Polyamory! Chrysalis abducts her own fiancees as a wedding present, and only the power of incest can save them! Later, Celestia trades Twilight in on a newer model and Spike's virginity is brutally murdered!
(back in Crimson's sexy imaginary voice)
As almost all the community panels I attended were from people on FIMFiction, I trust they will post some of their notes or thoughts on those panels. If not, then I’ll have to steal all their ideas and seem super smart.
And I have some thoughts myself that I’m going to write up as proper articles about some stuff regardless.
I wanted to write up a “Day 2” and “Day 3” blog post, but, frankly, I was too tired to do either. But I took notes, so CLEARLY THIS IS TOTALLY CROMULENT.
Day 2 started with me going to Taco Bell for breakfast and getting some box thing for $5. It was actually fairly decent – I don’t get why people complain about Taco Bell. Sure, it only has like five ingredients, but they’re decent ones.
This post is about “Fame and Misfortune”, the 14th episode of season 7. If you haven’t yet watched it… why not? Go do it! It is a good one!
More after the break.
GM Berrow: I'm still at the airport.
Heartshine: Okay, so, she's going to be late. So, how do you write female characters?
Amy Keating Rogers: Women are people. Just write them like people.
MA Larson: What she said.
*insert 58 minutes of making fun of Spike here*
7:30 am: Still can't sleep. Get out of bed, take shower.
8:30 am: Check computer.
9:15 am: Go to Denny's.
10 am: Regret going to Denny's.
10:40 am: Finally get back to room and change into real clothes for the day.
11:00 am: Make note of which episodes that Larson and Rogers worked on so I can reference it during panel to maybe ask for questions or elaborations from stuff they worked on.
11:15 am: Get to room for first panel. See Xepher and meet Pen Stroke.
