No Joke: Happy Birthday to Me! · 1:58pm Apr 1st, 2022
Next Bluebird chapter is in progress, but I'm not gonna work on it today and tomorrow to celebrate one more year of being in my 20s.
Hope you had a laugh with all the real jokes going on.

If you haven't noticed yet! Go read and let me know what you think, feedback and commentary are much appreciated!
...the next chapter of Bluebird is ready. Before it goes live, just want to say something I should have pointed out back in March when the previous chapter was published but... it's been two years since I started publishing chapters for this. That's just wild. So I just want to thank you all for continuing to read and comment on each new chapter. It truly does make my day.
Anyways, hope you enjoy it as Gallus and his pony buddies are in trouble!
Finally, the first chapter is out. Many thanks to Mix-Up for the brilliant cover art, a really talented and detailed artist and a pleasure to work with.
Hope you like the opening chapter, and the whole Young Six gang is in it! Hopefully, it'll nicely set up what everyone has gotten up to having graduated from the school of friendship.
Hey all!
Good news is that I've gotten the next chapter of Bluebird finished, Javarod has been proofreading it, so it should be ready next week! I've also started on the following chapter to prevent another super delay.
Well, the Gallus longfic project has another setback. The artist I commissioned the cover art for has backed down from the work, and refunded me for the commission. It's a shame since I really liked the artist's stuff, but they had personal issues and wanted to focus more on their own projects.
Hey guys, I was meant to get the Bluebird draft ready by today, but I had a bit of a setback. The first half of my holiday was great, a lot of people and fun was had at the convention, but then I got food poisoning on the last day. I was literally out of it on the one completely free day I had to work on it, and then I was camping for four more days so I couldn't work on it then either.
Hope everyone is doing well! I had great food, met both sides of my family, and got some nice gifts.
Best of luck to all those submitting for Jinglemas. I would have submitted too, had I not dealt with the emotional toll of redundancy and starting a new job. Still I''ve seen some interesting entries so far (I hope there will be Young Six related entries in the next few days).
Wow, it took five chapters to detail what Gallus got up to during one week! As far as plans go, this is the halfway point of the story, there are two more terms and a summer break to deal with, poor griffon.
I mentioned in a post last month that I was gonna start writing a longer story around Gallus in the Royal Guard Academy called Bluebird. To let you know my progress, I started writing it two weeks ago. Since I'm back at work full time, I'm largely gonna be writing it on weekends. Meanwhile, I've commissioned some MLP art (the first time I've ever done so, funnily enough) to use as the cover, hopefully you folks will
The newest chapter of Bluebird is online! Sorry for the long wait, but I hope this makes up for it. I'm trying to conclude the Mount Aris saga of the story nicely. I decided to draft out both parts of the story this time, meaning with this part done, the next part should be ready in weeks instead of months. (I oddly miss the COVID-19 pandemic, where spending time indoors meant I could finish a chapter in a week 😅)
Thought I'd give an update on where the story is going. I've decided to make The Long Reach Part 2 the end of the Academy's first term. That does not mean the story is finished, but that enough of the story and character development is done that I'm gonna give the next few chapters a change in the scenery before it returns for the second term. I've looked through my current plan and contemplated if I should add
Just a quick heads up that more time is gonna be needed for the next chapter, so there won't be a new chapter tomorrow. Also, with restrictions being mostly lifted and my day job moving back to working in an office full time, releasing of new chapters may no longer be weekly, but we'll see.
The next chapter is gonna have more of Gallus and two of his other friends from the School of Friendship, a bit more discussion in this one.
Hey everyone.
I know I usually publish a new chapter of Bluebird on Wednesdays every one or two weeks, but unfortunately, the next chapter is going to be delayed for another week.
The good news is that it's mostly finished, but it has yet to be proofread, and I want to avoid the usual mistakes that happen when I publish a story/chapter the evening I finish typing it up.
So thank you for your patience, and I hope you'll look forward to some more Gallus adventures!
What a year, and it's only February! I was initially hoping to get the next chapter of Bluebird ready for proofreading just before I went to a furry convention in Glasgow... only for my computer's power supply to fail two days before I was set to travel.
Hello everyone!
For those that may recall in the author's note of the most recent chapter of Bluebird, over five weeks ago, I haven't been able to work on the next chapter yet.
This is for three reasons:
For those who couldn't tell, this chapter is gonna be a bit late. I started writing it on Saturday morning, and while I planned to have it finished by the end of Sunday like my other chapters were... I suddenly didn't feel well. Managed to recover so I could do my day job on Monday, but that meant continuing to write the chapter in the evenings with less time. At the moment, I'm halfway through writing, so at this rate, it could be out on Friday.
EDIT: Updated post title, since I've developed a pattern of uploading new chapters on Wednesdays.
After writing a new chapter each weekend for three months, I'm taking a break this weekend to work on something else. Plus it gives me time to get things to write for the next few chapters I'm working on, the next two be less heavy than the most recent chapter.
Thank you to everyone who's been reading thus far, it's glad to see the feedback and interest.
