B sits in his red chair, a candle lit in the corner of his cabin, as a typewriter sits before him...

...and then he begins to write.

Applejack was in her room, before Applejack walked in. They both bear arms, pointed at each other. The one with no hat believes Applejack should be thankful.

Applejack always needs time during the Hearth's Warming season to be alone with her thoughts. But this time, one of her friends decides to figure out just what is making her upset.

Ants are very small. This is a simple story about Discord and his views on ants.

In a quiet town like Ponyville, many stories take place within a single day as ponies go about their daily lives. One such story follows the day of a certain Apple farmer as she takes her wares to market and her interactions with but a handful of Ponyville's residents.

So yeah this is my first story and I didn't think I'd be writing it the same day as I finally made my account and it's 3am and I did the cover art for it at the same time, so I hope it's still an enjoyable read.

And yes, I did base it off Avatar's Tales of Ba Sing Se and I'm sure you can guess which tale I mirrored for Applejack. May or may not add more chapters, up in the air. Anyways enjoy and let me know what you think.

Season 6 Spoilers!

After helping Applejack out with her chores, Twilight and Rarity wonder about their friend and Earth Ponies in general. Applejack doesn't seem that good at thinking, lateral or otherwise. But is she really as slow as she seems?

Twilight is almost used to being an alicorn now. She's accepted that unexpected change, and is even happy about it, most of the time. Her magical abilities have grown by leaps and bounds, and she's starting to enjoy the freedom offered by flight. While she can't imagine ever being as good as Rainbow Dash, anypony with reasonable standards would by now consider her quite competent in the air.

But despite her growing enthusiasm and confidence, there's something that she has neglected to deal with. Something that's bothered her at times ever since the transformation, but kept getting shuffled down her list of priorities. Fortunately, she knows just the pony to talk to for help, and she won't let nervousness and self-reliant rationalization hold her back anymore. The latest of Pinkie Pie's parties provides a perfect pretext for a conversation she should've had months ago.

If you're confused by the date listed on the chapter, that's just when I originally uploaded it for pre-reader viewing. Life got in the way and I didn't get around to hitting Submit until Feb. 7, 2016.

While Applejack automatically tunes out the normal background noises of Sweet Apple Acres, out of place sounds always get her attention, even gentle ones. She notices such a sound while heading back home for supper, and finds Fluttershy in the orchard. The reason for Fluttershy's visit turns out to be one Applejack hadn't thought of.
