No, seriously. I really DID just get out of jail. While my ultra-strict "NO CONTACT" order bans me from going into detail, I can say that I got arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge and spent the past 48 hours in solitary confinement at the county lockup. That's public info. It's also known here and in the real world that I come from a family of attorneys. Sue me at your own peril. Of course once my dad and uncle are gone, I'm up shit creek since neither my cousin nor I went into law (okay I kinda did for my PubAdmin degree but that's literally step one on the road to an actual JD). She's on television and I'm a neurotic hermit who writes bad stories about ponies.
Speaking of, thanks in part to physical and mental exhaustion from being a caretaker for three months, I wasn't able to get much writing done, but I have at least started on a new chapter of EQUESTRIA GIRLS.
Despite that series being intentionally stupid, I can't help but add that little bit of darkness to it in the persona of Sonata being there and realizing the timeline is wrong and trying to explain what she knows to Sunset. Having Sunset be an observer of the EQUESTRIA GIRLS world was an interesting choice that I think worked out well. Sonata just kind of happened.
As for the next installment of Mayor Mare's story, well, I watched the climax of A Few Good Men again to get a feel for the interplay between Cruise and Nicholson (which will be Raven & Orangeglow, respectively), but I need to do more head-work to figure out HOW to get to where I need to be. Meanwhile, my rewrite of Blooming Friendship is stalled because the second and third weeks aren't that bad but I should still rewrite them from scratch like I did the 1st week just because it's been so long.
Don't get arrested. That's my advice to you.
