The Devil Went Down To Georgia is a song that tells the story of how the Devil went down to Georgia looking for a soul to steal when he happened across a you g boy fiddling, which gives the Devil an idea. He persuades the boy to enter a fiddling contest with him; if Johnny wins, he gets the Devil's golden fiddle. If the Devil wins, he gets Johnny's soul. After the Devil's evil hissing solo, Johnny roasts the devil with complete confidence, calls him a SOB, and beats the Devil at the fiddling contest, and the Devil, true to his word, gives up the fiddle.
